Lovely old pub with very cheerful and helpful staff. The food in the bar and at breakfast was excellent. There were a couple of very tasty real ales on. We stayed in the room with a separate bathroom across the corridor which was fine and great value for money.

It was fine. Staff were great. Breakfast was great. Dinner in the pub was very nice

You get what you pay for. Old pubs are what they are. Old buildings done up to a budget. Beds were hard.

This is a really nice traditional pub in a lovely part of Yorkshire. It's good value for money, clean and comfortable.Great food and a warm welcome from owners and staff. I'll definitely return when I'm visiting my daughter at University of York.

The breakfast was really good

Would not recommend the family room due to the sofa bed. The sofa bed broke because it was missing a screw, someone came and put the plank back in place, 5min after I sat down again it broke again. Couldn't be bothered to put it back in place again. The sofa itseld was old and the matress was so flat and hard, very uncomfortable sleep! The kids beds were fine. The shower corner split when trying to open it and had to rejoin it. Shower tray also falling apart. Main thing that let us down was the broken sofa bed.

Friendly environment and staff were very helpful. We liked that the breakfast room was separate to the bar area. The room was clean and well presented and everything that we needed was supplied, including nice little soaps on the pillows. The single beds were comfortable and the room the a comfortable temperature.

The room was quite small for 3 people. The sofa bed was not very comfortable but due to having busy days I still managed to sleep. Would suggest a thicker mattress topper to make it more comfortable. With the sofa bed out it made the room feel quite cramped and access to the door was made difficult due to the placement of the sofa bed. The other furniture in the room was quite big so plenty of storage but it also made getting into and out of the room tricky with lots of bags.

Struggled to unlock door after hours

This was exceptional value for money. All four of us stayed in a comfortable and well provided family room and an excellent breakfast was included. Highly recommend.

The sofa bed for two was a little small and uncomfortable.

Rooms are getting outdated and bathroom could definitely do with a paint refresh and it would have been good to have shower gel & shampoo available. Also needed hairdryer in the room.

Couldn’t fault anything

Elaine and pauline the bar staff went out of there way to make us happy. Food was delicious. Bed were soft and slept. Breakfast included which was a good choice and very nice. They told us stories and mad us laugh all night in the bar.

Very freindly welcome and easy parking, quickly checked in and taken to room which was as expected. We didn't eat in the pub as we'd been out earlier in the day. Breakfast was very good and again great staff. For the price paid can't complain at all.

The friendly staff, the food, the little seating area outside and being able to park inside for free. The landlady even had a fan already on in the room when we got there as we stayed during the first heatwave. Very thoughtful. Breakfast choices were very good too.

Room was very tired when i booked said en suite bathroom which wasn't it was across the landing. Had tv which was fixed to wall but nowhere to watch it If you were on the bed which were to side of it couldn't see tv

Breakfast was disappointing and a bit undercooked, we stayed here a few years ago and the breakfast was really good.

Pub food was excellent, rooms were comfortable. Staff were great, Elaine was a great host. Superb value for money.

Very clean but very old with uneven floors and walls and creaking floors and stairs. Good atmosphere in Wentworth arms and food was lovely and decently priced. Breakfast good also. Popular place to eat for locals. Staff very friendly and chatty. Really enjoyed our stay for 2 nights , will visit again in future. Alsi not too far awzy from attractuins such as flamingo land and Eden camp.

Could be noisy when others coming to their rooms at night.

Alas room very disappointing, worn and jaded (cracked tiles etc) bed uncomfortable and bathroom 'lacking' . Room at front was v noisy from road traffic

Stayed here many times. Good food, whether breakfast, lunch or evening meal it's all excellent . Friendly owners and staff. Clean comfortable rooms and true value for money. If you want modern, souless rooms with no character then this is not the place for you. V f

An absolutely wonderful place. Basic but clean and comfortable. My bathroom was a few steps across the landing which wasn't great but I knew that when I booked it and I was the only person using it so it was just a slight inconvenience nothing more. The staff were all so friendly. The cleaning lady in the morning was lovely. The pub downstairs was super busy but I couldn't hear anything in my room. The food was good. I slept better than I do at home! And sitting outside in the evening sunshine was just amazing. A really great place to stay and I would definitely recommend it.

Other than having to leave my room for the bathroom (again I knew that when I booked) there was nothing that I didn't like. Maybe the television is at an awkward angle but there isn't really anywhere else it could go so...

The inn is located in a quiet village/town and picturesque. Parking is good. WiFi was available. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was nice. The price was affordable and probably reflective of a budget hotel. The wallpaper in the bedroom was nice.

The inn is an old building so I understand that it comes with it's quirks but the bathrooms could do with a refurb. The toilet seat was half hanging off and the dressing tables were sticky. The hallway stunk of fish. We didn't sleep well as we could hear pub goers talking outside. The windows are old and single glazed. I don't want to give a negative review at all, just some observations.

The accommodation was excellent value for money. Like some people mentioned it was dated and needed a refurb. However it was comfortable, the evening meal and breakfasts were excellent and the staff were lovely. Would definitely go again.

The shower wasn't the easiest to get in and out of but was adequate.

I Stayed in room 6 ,I was over the Kitchen ,So had the noise of the fan till 8 30 ish .Otherwise ok

WiFi was week and slow in upstairs room

We were walking the Yorkshire Wolds and had to get a couple of buses to get here as we couldn’t find anywhere nearer on the path. We stayed on a Wednesday night in May. The pub is lovely and the room was basic but clean and good for us. Nice shower room too. Yes you can hear people downstairs in the pub but it wasn’t loud and we slept fine in the comfy bed. We had a cooked full English breakfast and scrambled eggs on toast and they were great! The staff were lovely and kindly gave me a pack up of the fruit I wanted for breakfast. The eve meal was absolutely delicious! We had the chicken pie and the pork sausages meal and we loved them both. The jam roll poly and custard was the best I have ever tasted - good old fashioned traditional pudding! Great value for money and well worth the trip here off the route! The evening staff were very friendly too. We would highly recommend this place for an overnight stay and definitely eating here! Thank you

The breakfast was ok a good selection and they catered for coeliac's. The breakfast room was dark and could have been brighter . The bedroom was comfortable but very tired.

We didn't really dislike anything just felt it needed a refurbishment. Staff we dealt with were very helpful and friendly.

The Wentworth is a cosy comfortable pub. Indoor & outdoor seating. Staff go out of their way to make sure your stay is what you expected. Steph on the bar is a treasure. She seems to do two or three things at once, always with a smile.

We stayed in Room 6 upstairs. The kitchen is below this room, so at meal service times, the noise from the exhaust fans can be quite loud. When meals are over, though and fans off, it's quiet and peaceful. We did not face the road. Everything was immaculately clean. We were very comfortable in a spacious room. The double bed mattress provided a good night's sleep. The ensuite was teeny-tiny and a bit difficult to manoeuvre in but it was ok. Lots of hot water for the shower, good water pressure and easy to adjust. Good cooked breakfast. Free parking. We ate dinner in the pub dining room and this was excellent and good value. Staff were all lovely, obliging and helpful.

It's an old building with heaps of character, so of course, some parts need a bit more love. Overall, we were happy with what was provided.

Beautiful old building, serving top class food,staff very pleasant and helpful, location good for everyone, bus outside, and within reach of all the local attractions for anybody driving. Add to that a beautiful pint of beer. !

Kitchen extractor fan was extremely loud in our room (no 6) and we were told it would go off at 9pm but went on until after 9:30.

OK this is not a modern, glass and chrome hotel. It's an old inn and as such has a certain charm. It is convenient and we had no issues parking. Some areas of the property could benefit from a lick of paint but apart from being a little 'tired' we found everywhere to be clean and tidy. The room had received a coat of paint and had a nice contemporary feel to it. Again everything was clean. I think the bathroom is next for a makeover. But apart from the odd scrape and scuff it all functioned well and the shower was nice and hot. The staff that we met were all extremely friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The bar appeared popular for food with many of the tables reserved (Worth noting is you are staying and want to eat in the bar). Good selection of beers and wines. Breakfast was lovely. All freshly cooked and served in a separate dining area. The old place has been around for a long time and may look a little tired in places. But this is more than made up by the lovely staff.

As with most old places it's easy to pick faults. But at the end of the day it was clean, friendly and welcoming and that more than makes up for a few scuffed marks on the paintwork.
