Service exceptional, shout out to Matthew the manager. Food, room, bed all marvellous

Live music
Restaurant closed early
The staff were genuinely friendly especially Matt who seemed to be everywhere at once. The food was excellent can heartily recommend the partridge starter and the eggs benedict for breakfast. Went on a Tuesday and it was open mic 🎤 night. Really great music with a superb bunch of musicians, great atmosphere to. Would stay again.
Brilliant stay food amazing and great value for money 💰

Every thing great
A great little country pub with a few rooms upstairs. It was good for what we needed (to visit the West Midlands Safari Park). Food was excellent. Not noisy after the bar closed.
Not much - an extra fan would have been nice, given that it was so hot. You would probably need a car to get here, although there was a bus stop almost directly outside
The location was ideal for my specific needs. The food was excellent and staff very friendly.

The host was lovely and the food was yum. The bed was clean, comfortable and smelt fresh
It was a bit dated and worn
Food was brilliant
Good location, fantastic breakfast , easy parking and comfortable room
We liked it all
Really friendly staff, room was great , a little dated but didn’t spoil our stay We ate in the restaurant, really good menu Both our meals were lovely Later in the bar there was entertainment which we enjoyed as well
Nothing
Nice little country inn. Entertainment was good, and they served a good breakfast at an extra cost (worth the money). Staff were all very friendly
Had to get taxi's as it's a little too far to walk to any other pubs or shops.
Todo en general. Cama muy cómoda y personal muy agradable. Desayuno y cena estupendo. Estupenda posada para un descanso en el camino
Nada no me gustó.
The friendliness of the staff, Matt in particular, was very welcoming. The food was exceptional, we were asked if we wanted to speak to the chef, which we did. He was a very impressive 19 year old; we believe will have a good career ahead of him. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. We also appreciated the kind gesture of a complimentary drink on our anniversary.
Perhaps we didn't fully appreciate from the website that this is essentially a country pub in an old building located alongside an A road. The internal decor appeared quite dark and old fashioned. However this didn't detract from the stay once we recognised how well it was patronised, always a good sign.
Matt was excellent, very pleasant and helpful. The bar was heaving but he still made time to show us our room. Tuesday evening and the bar was hectic so they must be doing something right.
Convenient, a bit quirky, clean and comfortable
Nothing to note
Dirty rooms dog sat on sofa with a very dirty bum
dirty
We had a spacious comfortable room and a good sized bathroom. Dinners and breakfasts were delicious with very varied menus. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Nothing comes to mind.
Clean lovely place great good size room Meal brilliant Bathroom lovely with good shower Staff really helpful going out of their way to help
Not enough plug sockets
Great location. Room large. Bed very comfy. Sheets and towels lovely and clean. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Great size of TV Great area to put case and hang clothes
Two random cushions left on the chair with no covers? Bathroom very large but nowhere to hang towels when getting out of the shower.. sink very small and nowhere to put anything other than a high shelf, so had to use toilet cistern No spoons left for tea making
The friendly welcome, great breakfast, we are definitely going to stay there again
It is starting to look a little worn, but that's not to say it wasn't comfortable or clean. Bed was low to the ground, but that's a personal preference
Staff and sean fantastic
Lovely place owners very helpful and friendly staff wonderful to 😁
The staff were very nice and helpful i didn't want anything off the menu for my evening meal and asked for something light and it was not a problem did what I asked and I really enjoyed it.
The staff, dinner and breakfast were excellent. However this is rated as 4 star and, unfortunately, we do not consider it to be so when compared to other establishments where we have stayed. The landing area of the bedrooms together with our bedroom were in dire need of redecoration, re-carpeting and, our bedroom, required a new hand basin and hot water tap that did not work. Also the bedroom window was covered in cobwebs.
Please see above
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and well presented. An extra bonus was the Tuesday night 'open mic'. It was a very enjoyable evening.
The room felt a bit basic - it is in a old building. There was not anywhere to walk except along a very busy road. We enjoy an after dinner walk.
Friendly and helpful staff on arrival who accommodated additional requests we made. Easy to find.
Toilet wasn’t flushed on arrival. Evening food was stated between 6-9pm. We tried to order at 8:45pm but was told the kitchen was closed, so had to drive 15 minutes into Bewdely.
Everything was great ...esp decor, apart from....
In bathroom u really need a non slip bath mat for bath and a mat to stand on when u get out as floor slippy when wet. Not enuf towels, only had 1 large towel between 2 of us...we did have 2 smaller ones !! Only had a small amount of toilet paper on roll. Lots of noise from downstairs door till gone midnight...
The food was decent. The staff were friendly.
The extraordinarily loud TV that was switched on a 7.15am was the bugbear. There were outside speakers in the tented area below my window and the sound of the morning news reverberated around my room. It was awful. I could even hear it in the shower.
The property was lovely, although bits were a little dated but would not change the experience
It was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful.
Value for money. Nice helpful staff. Recommend

Staff were friendly
Could smell the kitchen in our bedroom when cooking.
Extermely friendly and helpful members of staff. Perfect location for visiting Wyre forest.
The staff were great. Great pub. Pool table. Dart board. Evening meal . Great ( gluten free) Room spacious. Large Tv. Large bed. Dogs enjoyed thier stay Breakfast was Good. Free parking
Check in was busy. Bathroom needs attention. ( bath mouldy) Carpet a little stained ( we were in a room for the dog) Room was really hot.( very hot day) dont know if there were any fans available. Breakfast. Very un organised ( had to ask for glasses for the fruit juice) took 1/2 hrs for the food to come out. While we were there. Clients on the evening were shouting. Couldn't get to sleep. The pillows were a little hard.
Bad sink design. Taps too low to fill kettle
Staff were very helpful and tentative. Made my partner and I feel welcomed and nothing was an issue. Matt was very professional and polite

Good breakfast and good pub evening meal. Good location for my needs
Open mic night but this did stop at 10.30
All staff were friendly and helpful Nice comfy good nights sleep Lovely quirky pub
Only criticism would be the menus had not been updated in the restaurant and we didn’t get what we thought we were ordering, as the chef had changed the menu and menu list had not been updated but restaurant manager was extremely apologetic and gave us a drink on the house
Great pub hotel with a great vibe.. lots of locals using the bar with superb atmosphere! Even the local running club were in there! Great clean rooms and first class dinner and breakfast meals!
Nothing
Really welcoming team and wonderful breakfast thank you!
Lovely pub venue, well staffed, great food.
Welcoming, clean, comfortable A brief but enjoyable stay at the Royal Forester. A very warm welcome even with an 8pm arrival. Two lovely rooms - comfy beds, clean and airy with cold water in the fridge. Decent breakfast and efficient check out. Great value stay and highly recommended.
Meals were fabulous Service was excellent
The food was exceptionally good.Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The rooms were a little tired and plumbing a little iffy. But I think they are starting work to upgrade the facilities. Despite this overall the stay the minor short comings were made up by the exceptional service and food.
Rooms are really good value for money, great bed, perfectly sized, great bathroom too.

Friendly staff. Dinner and breakfast were great. Room clean and comfortable. Great location for our overnight trip.
10/10 stayed before and will stay again Food it’s absolutely amazing
Very clean and rooms are perfect
It was dirty and smelt the room was cold because the window didn’t shut very dated needs a good refurbish
Relatively close to the town, with a pleasant setting but doesn't quite justify standout praise. Service and overall experience are generally fine.
Poor value for money compared to other options in Kidderminster, especially given the already high room rates. The room amenities feel stingy, with basics missing like teaspoons, bottled water, and even a proper biscuit offering, while breakfast is charged extra on top.
Lovely friendly staff. Beautiful food. Very comfortable room

Only positive was the polite cheeriness of the lady serving breakfast.
Room ok, however the bed was not comfortable, mattress needs replacing. Pillows are lumpy and one scatter pillow didn't zip up due to broken zip exposing the dirty inner cushion There was water in an opened glass bottle, so I wasn't drinking that, The kettle was filthy and the hairdryer was absolutely disgusting. I had to ask for the heating to be turned on and then it was off again in the morning . Breakfast was welcomed by a lovely cheery lady and her dog. However and although I dislike saying this , I was put off eating my breakfast due to the deep throat coughing a sneezing by the cook as well as the dog being in and out of the kitchen. Unfortunately I won't be staying again. .
Nice room, excellent food
Bad timing for us as there was a 40th birthday party on the Saturday night, we were allowed to join but it was rammed so we spent the evening in our room, another day would have been very different I'm sure
Very quiet location and ample parking. The staff were excellent and attentive. Lovely pub with ample indoor and outdoor seating. Very homely feel, with tasty homemade food (highly recommend).
Our only problem was that no food is served on Sunday evening due to the quiz night. But we ate locally and came back for the end of the quiz.
Amazing rooms

It was a very enjoyable stay the moment I arrived the staff were very friendly and the locals were too

Staff were friendly.
Old, tired room that had an odd smell. Was hoping for better as a Four in a Bed winner.....
Great location, nice and peaceful, amazing staff and lovely food
Really friendly staff, great room nice and spacious
Bathroom could do with a little attention, the tap was a little loose but nothing major.
Clean comfortable room. Friendly staff.
Would have been nice to have breakfast included in the price.
Good location for West Midlands safari Hearty food Spacious room Powerful shower Parking outside
Room was a little tired
Super friendly staff. Nice food. Thoughtfully laid out room with everything we needed.
Can’t think of anything. It’s a very nice small country inn.
The pub is cosy and warm both in the environment and in the staff. Very friendly and helpful. The food is freshly prepared and homemade. After a chat with the chef, I was made a very tasty ratatouille pasta dish for dinner as there was no vegan option on the day's menu. My partner said the game pie was amazing. Being dog friendly also makes a huge difference to us, too, and makes this place always a good choice for us whilst stopping in the area. This was our second visit and won't be the last.
Very cold stone floor in the bathroom. In the depths of winter, it's not great, but in the summer, I should imagine it's very good
Everything was great
Location is outstanding for the Wyre Forest Gruffalo Trail. There is ample parking and you can walk to the forest entrance quite comfortably. The guys there are very friendly, they dealt with the little issues we had.
The food at the venue was disappointing and service was a bit of a car crash, that said this wasn't necessarily to do with the room which this is a review of. The room was originally cold and whilst i understand some people often complain the rooms are too hot, providing electric heaters cannot be a cost-effective way of managing it. Matter for the owners but just seemed a huge outlay given the price of the heaters over turning the radiators up. The shower was lukewarm but again this was probably down to the boilers being turned down
Location for our needs is ideal. Family run business with customer focussed team. Bed was very comfortable.
We were in the pumpkin room this time & it has a pumpkin like wash hand basin which is very impracticable. Its a bowl with mixer taps too low to say fill a kettle & the lever arms are already dipping towards the basin edge as they are fitted too low. I imagine when first installed it looked very attractive, but there is nowhere level with the basin to place hygiene item etc.
Sink in room. Tap too long to fill kettle
The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The rooms and bathroom was lovely with a cozy and different from the normal, standard type of room which was really nice.
There is nothing I didn’t like about the property.
Love it here. We have stayed numerous times and will stay again
Enjoyed everything about our stay at the Royal Forester Inn. Great rooms, friendly staff and amazing meals. Very dog friendly.

Friendly staff good food clean and tidy
Highlight of the property has to be the restaurant. The dinner menu was excellent and the food fulfilled the promise. Similarly there were plenty of options on the breakfast menu, also well cooked and presented. The room was a decent size, with the usual tea and coffee facilities, TV and good sized en-suite. For the price paid the experience was very good
The bedrooms could do with double glazing to cut down on traffic noise from the adjacent main road.
Staff friendly on arrival.
The kitchen had closed when we arrived at 17:00 so unable to have a meal. The room was cold, so had to ask for the heating to be put on. It lasted for an hour and was then turned off. We requested a 07:30 breakfast, but when we went down for it, the whole place was still in darkness and there was no sign of life. 😳
