Great staff.great food. Great Location. Not Expensive.
The bed was a bit to low.
Location was beautiful, very peaceful and relaxing.
Parking was the only downside.
Amazing location with stunning views of the river; fabulous beer garden and cracking ales; lovely staff and a super breakfast. Top notch.
Beautiful place, great location.
Problem with the electrics. Burnt out old extention leads. Very dangerous. None of the lamps worked, poor lighting.
Great central location next to the river, really loved the morning sounds of the wildlife.
Great location, Friendly staff, good food.
Delightful location on the river, lovely old building, fascinating architecture. Genuinely kind helpful staff.

That it was so close to the river. So picturesque

Great location, comfy room.
river view
was a little dated
A 400 year old attic room that was clean and covered all our needs, given the reasonable price we were pleased. The location is excellent and the staff went out of their way to make or stay very comfortable. Not the Ritz but recommended for a nice, affordable break.
Nothing.
Central location
Low down ski bed with broken slats hence not much sleep 😴,also check in wanted money upfront before allowing into our bedroom after a 3 hour journey we was both exhausted so not a good start or a friendly welcome 😁
Staff helpful and friendly. Quirky oldy worldy character to inn. View and. Location v pretty. Excellent for visiting Severn Valley Railway.
Cracked sink. Floor in bathroom perhaps needing new joists.
Super emplacement
Spacious room on the top floor with double bed, settee and chair. Excellent wet room with shower. Views both sides of the property but windows are a little small to appreciate them.
The bed was quite firm.
Great location on the riverside with buzzing outdoor tables and a bar serving a great range of ales. Our room (the Rose Room) had a good view of the river. We were able to store our kayak in one of the outdoor areas overnight.
The staff weren't particularly friendly and seemed more interested with running the bar / hotel / restaurant than they were in making guests feel welcome. Breakfast was particularly odd - order exactly what you want by 20:00 the previous evening and have it served in a joyless room the next day. I would recommend skipping the overpriced breakfast and walking along the riverside and enjoying far better fayre from any of the other cafe's or bars open in the morning.
Really lovely place to stay great staff beautiful views and very central x

Never stopped here before but will be back
Atmospheric pub in beautiful location. Pleasant, helpful staff.
Having to return later after finding place locked at 5pm.
We love the location overlooking the river. A fridge in the room was very welcome as was a fan.
We like the property and visit annually. We dislike nothing.
The bathroom was lovely but the room was very old and very basic. It had everything we needed to be fair. Tea and coffee facilities a mini fridge in the cupboard a tv. The stairs to the room were very steep and although they did provide a fan it was very noisy. The location was fantastic right by the river and the staff were very friendly. Public Car parking wasn’t very far away and did allow for overnight stay for £7 per night. Breakfast was extra we chose the basic breakfast which again was just ok.
The very basic facilities in the room. The check in was confusing only allowed to check in at certain times. When we arrived the property was closed and we had to wait until the property opened before we could book in. No car parking.
Nice position friendly staff comfortable room and outside area
Perfect location for our day on the Severn Valley Railway. Staff very helpful, food good, we stayed an extra night & we’ll be back !
Would prefer a walk-in shower but all such rooms were taken, some aspects a little tired but to be expected in an Olde Worlde Pub/Hotel. Steep stairs for Olde Worlde people ! 🤗
Lovely location, car park very near, staff excellent. Definitely recommend this to friends and family. The food was also amazing and very reasonable prices.
Nothing not to like
The location was excellent
Music playing loudly at night when was shut and the shower and bath didn’t work
Great location, river views, staff helpful, quirky in a good way!
Nothing
The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent.
Everything was lovely
Wonderful location. Room overlooking the river.
No parking at property . We should have checked where to park before we arrived.
everything went well from start to finish. The staff at all levels were consistently welcoming and friendly and were genuinely interested in providing excellent service. Food in the evenings was competitively priced and well cooked, particularly the fish. The room (Cottage 2) was bigger than anticipated with a a great view over the river.
Nothing springs to mind
The room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable. The food in the pub was lovely too.
Location. Charm. Welcome and service.
Nothing
The room was tidy, comfortable, and unique with an exceptional view on the river Severn. I wasn't able to try the breakfast as I had to leave earlier than they were serving. I would suggest they shift breakfast forward by an hour:)
Breakfast could be served a little earlier.
Lovely location on the river and close to town.
Cannot think of anything we disliked.
Location Food Pub Atmosphere Staff friendly
Bedroom ensuite ok bit dated but fine
Location right on the river, quirky old beams

The location was excellent staff were really helpful. Will be returning.

Offers a surprisingly good pub stay. The attic Apple Blossom room was lovely with many period features and the river below right in front, though they have even better 4-poster bed rooms. A very nice touch was how they provided room service (which they don't usually do) for my delicious 3-course supper. The continental breakfast was standard, but a good standard with excellent service.
This is a very pleasant pub right on the banks of the river Severn. Bewdley is an ideal town to relax and unwind.

Our room was on ground floor and being disabled it made it a great stay
It’s hard to find something to pick faults with
The location on the riverbank, the size of our room & furniture, comfortable bed, friendly staff, good restaurant. We enjoyed exploring a new area.
A bit noisy at times but less so than anticipated.
Fantastic location on the River. We had 2 dinners and 2 full English breakfasts, all the food was really good and tasty. All the staff were exceptional, so friendly, so helpful and accommodating particularly when we wanted to change a booking last minute from 5 to 11 on a Friday evening! Thank you all so much. Also lovely character building.
The cleaning could have been better although the bed linens were fine. We moved from the 1st cottage room due to squeaky floorboards above and shower was lukewarm. 2nd Rose room was larger and quieter. The building is old and requires constant maintenance
With two replacement knees and a hip problem , it was a shame I had a room in the loft space ! Next time will request a room lower down.
Convenient
Rooms overpriced and need some TLC.
Lovely accommodations and staff!
The hotel was in a perfect place for sight seeing
The room was a bit dusty and needs a refresh in our room
Very friendly and professional staff with the ability to deal with awkward situations without a fuss.
Good food great location and value for money.
Excellent location. Great facilities in the room. Nice bar. Riverside location. Great for Severn Valley Railway. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The room was lovely. Breakfast was very satisfying. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The Mug House is in an ideal location for exploring Bewdley. Lovely views of the river from my room.
There were a couple of issues with cleanliness but the owner sorted these out promptly so I'm not going to say any more about that!
The view from the room was exceptional.
Large comfy bed, river views
Bathroom
The location is lovely overlooking the river
Last time we stayed there the breakfast was included in the price
Brilliant excellent staff, beautiful location. Beautiful food, we Love it

Position of pub, staff were very helpful.
Slanted roof in the top cottage Lack of light. Owner happy to add a light
Position was great. The staff were friendly and helpful
Apple blossoms radiator was not hot on a very cold night. The shower kept running when trying to run the bath. Cottage at the top had a very low slanted ceiling over one side of the bed. I was worried about hitting my head in the night. Advised the owner an extra light was needed at the TV coffee end of the room. He was happy to add one.
Had full English breakfast costing £12. Black Pudding was like old leather. Bacon tough but manageable all together not good value.
Evening meal was pretty average as liver seemed tasteless expected better meal for £17
Didn't take up the breakfast option, but load of other options nearby. Good sized room with a lovely view of the river severn. Room very quiet and totally secure with access only via 3 separate doors.
Staff were poor, room didn't have any toilet paper so requested some. Staff then "forgot" as they were busy ? Not good enough and lame excuse that they were busy. No parking but very good public car park just round the corner.
Where it is based
Requested on booking lower based room as struggle with mobility with bad legs , completely ignored and was put into the highest room possible , 2 flight of stairs . Which was a massive struggle , was treated like when I said this on checking in not my problem it is what it is .
Great location Nice new years eve meal Nice breakfast
New years eve entertaintment man with guitar playing christmas songs at new year Bed to soft for me Breakfast could have been a little later on new years day
Fabulous position overlooking the river, and reasturants and town . Very large disabled room on ground floor, massive walk wet room with lovely shower bed massive and comfy if you like a medium mattress.. Staff, John very accommodating and informative on booking in showed us to room and gave us info re breakfast and different use of keys .. We bought breakfast from the hotel, lovely choices and cooked to my preference.
Pillows fluffy but soft ..corrected it by putting scatter cushion under and had good sleep. Sad food menu not on after 5.30 on sunday, but was aware before going so not a shock ..
Amazing location on the riverside and the view was so pretty. The staff were lovely
No parking on site but we could drop our luggage off outside
This was our second visit to the mug house inn , we also had a meal with friends there & everyone enjoyed it . The staff are always helpful & rooms are always comfortable & clean .

All the staff I met were lovely, friendly and very accommodating. The food was EXCELLENT! And I loved my room, on the front of the hotel -overlooking the river.
The car park is only a minute away, so easily walkable - and if full there are other options.
Beds comfy, dogs welcome, room warm . Tea, coffee etc good quality.
Noisy outside as a popular walk way, too much light as rear window uncovered.
Lovely Location! Great pub with lovely friendly staff. Room great size and comfortable beds. Breakfast wonderful! Great Value
