Good for one night stay. Walking distance to the center. Parking option(not for free but comfortable)

The room was extremely hot and there was only a small ventilator, which didn't help to make it better. It was a hot wave but it was very difficult to sleep because of that.

Stayed here a couple of times and very nice guest house with the hosts Ian and Elaine lovely people.

Was welcoming very clean and ideal location to train station and all amenities. Ian and Diane were lovely.

Iain and Diane were warm and welcoming hosts. The location was very convenient, only a couple of minutes walk from RSC, as well as Stratford city centre. The breakfast was provided in a 'breakfast box' to the room, but this was sufficient as there was plenty of food provided and folding tables available in the room. The bed was very comfortable and the room itself was charming.

The only thing I can criticise is sup-par water pressure in the shower and that it takes several minutes to get warm water. In times of drought that seems dangerously wasteful

Die Lage ist für einen Stadtbesuch sehr gut. Die angebotenen Parkplätze sind großzügig, aber nur durch einen sehr schmalen Durchgang zu erreichen.

Das Frühstück wird wie in Corona-Zeiten aufs Zimmer gebracht. Leider gab es beim Frühstück keine Angebote an Eiern. Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche war sehr sparsam.

Excellent staff, breakfast and location

Framförallt de fantastiska ägarna. Att det fanns kylskåp med kallt vatten och mjölk till kaffet i. Att de fyllde på och tog soporna varje dag. Att det fanns en morgonrock att använda när man gick till toaletten. Varje dag fick man fylla i ett dokument med val av frukost till nästa dag. Det var ett bra urval tyckte jag. Frukosten kom i en liten låda till rummet vid den tid jag hade valt.

Det som var lite sämre (men det stod tydligt med i beskrivningen) var att toaletten fanns i korridoren. Jag hade nyckel till den då den bara hörde till mitt rum, vilket är superbra. Om man har svårt att sova om det kör bilar utanför, så ska man inte ha ett av rummen på framsidan av huset. Det körde bilar hela natten utanför. Jag sov bra ändå, så det störde inte mig.

Bekvämt och prisvärt boende med mycket hjälpsamma värdar. Frukosten, som serveras på rummet, är ett mycket trevligt inslag. Har även bra parkering.

A bit too much furniture in the room - double bed with 2 cabinets, single bed with small table, 2 armchairs - I kept banging my legs or feet on the bed legs while trying to navigate between everything. Room would be better without the armchairs, imo

Très bon accueil, très bon petit déjeuner servi dans la chambre. Le B and B est très bien situé, à l'entrée du centre-ville. Le lit est confortable.

La rue est très passante. Heureusement, les fenêtres sont bien isolées et il y a un ventilateur bien utile pendant la canicule !

The property was clean and comfortable and was in a great central location. The staff I interacted with were all very friendly and welcoming (I met Iain, Diane, and said hello to one of the cleaners). I really enjoyed the breakfast and being able to enjoy it in the privacy of my room in my pyjamas! The vegetarian sausage sandwich was a particular highlight, but I also enjoyed the fruit and yoghurt given it was hot when I stayed. Also, as someone who collects teddy bears, I loved the bear sculpture outside and the one on the staircase, so I felt I’d picked the right place to stay!

Whilst I had a private bathroom, I would usually prefer an en-suite, so I would book one of the other rooms for my next stay. I was also on the road side of the property, which as I’m a light sleeper I was a bit concerned about, but it wasn’t an issue at all. The wooden teddy was glued to the bannister so I couldn’t take him home!

A great accommodation for a 2 night trip to Stratford

The main road outside was very busy and noisy all night.

Breakfast was exceptional with a very varied choice. The location was perfect for walking into Stratford and many of the amenities.

A very comfortable room and quiet. Easy access to the town with car parking facilities. Liked having your breakfast in your room. Very friendly and amenable hosts. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Friendly welcome by owner, pleasant room at front with view of small park , room had many items that might be needed for a stay eg iron , fridge with milk and bottle of cold water, . Breakfast ( items selected on previous evening ) was delivered to room at requested time , and so able to watch TV while eating it ! Towelling bath robe was provided as bathroom a short way from the room.

Our stay was great, room super clean. Beds super comfortable. Diane and Ian were great. Very inviting and nothing was to much trouble. Location was perfect. Despite the main road. We didnt hear any traffic noise from the room. Breakfast choice were all great and standard 5star. Would definitely stay again in the future.

It has a convenient location. Not far from the railway station and the town centre. The room was quite small but adequate and had several additional extras such as a fridge, Breakfast was served in the room and was very good, especially the bacon and sausage sandwich.

It is currently very warm in the UK. The room does have a fan, but I had to open the windows, and the road immediately outside is really noisy at times. When closed, the windows were effective in muffling the noise of the traffic.

It was very charming. I loved my room at the top of the stairs. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to the birds sing every morning. Very comfortable bed with a nice little sitting room. Having a light breakfast delivered to my room every morning was amazing. The perfect start to the day. Very convenient to shopping and grocery stores. I was easily able to walk everywhere. Safe and very clean town. I would stay here again.

Highly recommend and would stay there again . Perfect location to walk into the town centre and see the sights . Parking available and our car was safe and secure .

Excellent location with the bonus of a big car park. Friendly hosts, clean and comfortable room. We would have preferred a traditional cooked breakfast but the breakfasts brought to our room were more than adequate. We'd definitely stay here again.

El desayuno espectacular, muy completo, recién hecho y todo delicioso. Tú elijes qué tomar, es un acierto seguro y un lujo tomarlo en la habitación. Tiene parquing por 5£/día, muy práctico tenerlo tan cerca. La habitación es muy confortable, con todo lo necesario, secador, plancha, tabla de planchar, nevera. Great location, close to the RSC Theatre, good restaurants and all the famous Shakespeare sights. Private, pre-bookable parking. Neil and Di were friendly and helpful hosts and all the facilties were comfortable and spotlessly clean. We really enjoyed our short stay and would definitely recommend Ashgrove guest house.

We had a lovely big room at the front of the property, overlooking the park. Breakfast was great, enjoyed having it in our room! Great location, close to town centre, pubs, restaurants, only 10 minutes walk to riverside.

The hosts are really friendly people and are always there for questions. It’s very close to the swan theatre so it’s a good place to stay if you are visiting the city. The center is closeby. The breakfast is very vegetarian friendly. The rooms are comfortable and clean. One thing which is not a critique more of a request for future stays: maybe offering a milk alternative for breakfast would be amazing! But that’s like I said more of a bonus and I have nothing negative to say about my stay! Until next time!

Location was fantastic and it was clear care had been taken with decor, making the room comfortable . I liked the idea of breakfast baskets.

Shower room was very small, had to sit diagonally on the toilet! Fresh coffee at breakfast would have been lovely. Bed was not comfortable, pillows were hard.

A room with a view,number 6,with great views across the City of Bath.

Central heating was a bit intermittent in the evening.

The breakfast here is truly delightful, offering an incredible variety of options! I love how conveniently located it is—just a short 10-minute stroll to the town centre and train station. Iain, the owner, was incredibly warm and welcoming; he took the time to introduce me to the town and even adjusted my breakfast schedule to make it more convenient. Overall, it was a delightful experience!

The location was fine for us to walk to town. The room was basic but comfortable.

The breakfast was basic and used cheap ingredients eg poor orange juice, flavoured low fat yoghurt and only instant coffee made in our room.

There is nothing to dislike, if you set your expectations accordingly before your trip. This is a no frills, authentic/ Old England B&B and way more than expected for the very reasonable rate. Reception was wonderful, breakfast was aplenty and served in the room, which is a welcome change from the usual basement/drafty drawing rooms. Many thanks to Iain and the rest of the team, I will make sure to be back!

A tad more heat, as I noted, would be welcome. However, there are blankets in a dresser on the landing, free for use if you are a winter rat, like me.
