Helen welcomed us when we arrived & offered her local knowledge of places to visit & routes to take. She was very informative & very friendly. The room was very clean & comfortable. Great location- about a 10 min walk into the centre. Would definitely stay again & would highly recommend 🤩

Reviewed Jun 11, 2026On a main road which made all routes easily accessible. Opted for a small single room and it was warm and cosy, comfy bed and hot shower. Loved the old features including high ceilings and stained glass panels in the windows.
Parking spaces were not clearly marked, there was an area further down the driveway with spaces in front of units with own front doors. It was unknown when first arriving that it was ok to park there. Decor in bathroom a little tired but always clean

Reviewed Apr 29, 2026Good location nice and central to Banbury, comfortable, clean, a knowledgable and helpful host. We didn’t have the breakfast so can’t comment but it looked reasonably priced. Nice touch having electric charging points.
Room felt a little clinical could have done with more pictures/decoration, to make it feel more homely, had to have lights on as dark inside even with sun out outside, we wouldn’t have wanted to stay for longer than a night or two.

Frukosten var vällagad och god, det fanns inget mer att önska. Värdparet var mycket trevliga och hjälpsamma. En liten promenad till centrum, men skönt med lite rörelse...
Badrummet/toaletten var i minsta laget, på vasken kunde man inte ställa något. Gillar inte heller två kranar med varmt respektive kallt vatten. Det kunde ha funnits några krokar i rummet at hänga saker på..

The chalet where we stayed was also beautiful and had everything required. Hosts were most helpful and friendly running a beautiful guest house making us feel like part of the family. Wonderful breakfast served fresh and plentiful.

The shower water pressure was extremely low; perhaps just a problem with the room I was in as my colleagues did not experience this issue.

The rooms were spacious, clean, and neat. Breakfast was great, with a few options to choose from. We were very charmed by our stay here and really enjoyed it!

Reviewed Dec 19, 2025As we were touring the area from Warwickshire to Oxfordshire, Fairlawns proved a strategic and convenient location for our three short days. Helen and Matt were helpful in providing us a comfortable and hassle free stay and the kids absolutely loved the room provided with ensuite toilet and shower facilities.
Nothing much really as the parking managed to even fit our truck!

Reviewed Dec 9, 2025I only stayed at Fairlawns Guest House for one night, but it left a really good impression. The place has this lovely Victorian style feel — you notice it as soon as you walk in. It’s got character, but it’s also really clean and well-kept, which made me feel comfortable straight away. The hosts were genuinely welcoming. You know when people make you feel like more than just another guest? That’s exactly how it felt. They were friendly without being overbearing, which I really appreciated. On the practical side, the free WiFi worked perfectly (no annoying dropouts), and having car parking on-site was a big bonus. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better: it’s close to both Horton and Foscote Hospitals, and only about a 10-minute walk into Banbury Town if you fancy exploring. Another nice touch is the bus stop right opposite the guest house. The route is reliable, so even if you don’t have a car, getting around is easy. Overall, Fairlawns felt like a mix of charm and convenience. For a short stay, it ticked all the boxes — clean, welcoming, and perfectly placed. I’d happily go back if I needed somewhere in Banbury again.
