Provider-sourced guest reviews.
No Breakfast. Bed comfortable. Room had everything I needed in it .
Nothing I can think of.
The room was clean.
I chose this guest house, based on the reviews I read but my stay was awful, I didn't manage to sleep there, I checked out first thing in the morning, I was due to stay there 3 nights I just couldn't. Theres a communal bathroom for the guests and that was close to my room, the walls are paper thin so you hear everyone all night in and out of the bathroom. The floorboards creak from the stairs throughout the house any type of movement is very loud. I could hear others talking in their rooms plus I could hear the TVs. I'm guessing contractors stay here as I could hear all the alarms going off in different rooms from 5am onwards.

SHOWER PRESSURE A BIT LOW
Very hospitable staff. Room extremely comfortable and close to town. Very pretty house.
Nothing to dislike. It overlooked a main road but still quiet. Unable to hear the traffic.
Lovely clean rooms, Debbie was really welcoming. Cute little garden to sit in
Very friendly vibe but regrettably no breakfast
Very comfortable Bed, had a good nights sleep
We had a family room because it was on the ground floor, but the bathroom entrance was that you had to climb a couple of steps , which for us at Anvanced age was a bit concerning especially in the middle of the night
Good location, short walk into town centre, quiet area
No footpath at the front of the building
Lovely place to stay. Easy to access from M40. Brilliant welcome and such friendliness throughout our stay. We felt very welcome. Bedroom spacious and comfortable, bathroom well set up and a great shower - especially useful in the very hot weather!
Slightly tight car park

Location cleanness
Excellent parking, spacious room. Comfortably furnished. Good TV & internet.
Blocked waste in shower meaning water did not drain as it should. Bathroom was not cleaned during our two night stay which meant the muck just sat there. Room was not made up either which meant I ran out of milk. Room was hot so thank you for the fan. Armchair was too big for the room and got in the way. No breakfast but there are plenty of places in town, 5 mins walk.
We didn't take breakfast, but we enjoyed a cup of tea in the morning. The house, a period building, had a lovely charm and kept us cool during the hot weather.
In the present summer heat it was a bit far to walk to and from the venue. But no harm done, really -
Staff were very friendly and had a lovely stay
Friendly, helpful staff.
Signboard outside shows breakfast being offered; the guest information file also states this but there is no catering on site. One could hear every footstep of the occupant of the room above. Check-in at 4.00pm, rather than norm of 3.00pm.
The location and parking was good for an overnight stay. Room was a good size with good facilities including a fan ( it was very hot).
The bed was really uncomfortable and needed a new mattress. Was hoping for a good nights sleep for a long journey ahead!
Good situation
Room was a little cramped but we knew that it would be when booking
Such a beautiful guest house. The service was impeccable and so personable. A must stay and definitely get yourself the full English brekky on the weekends. Thank you again to my hosts for a delightful and welcoming stay. Is also a peaceful spot.
Everything was wonderful, I think the tiniest critique would just be the bed and pillows were a little firm for my liking, still slept very well though.
Nice and quiet both from traffic noise and other guests. At £90/night, good value
En suite bathroom was a bit small for my liking
Debbie was a wonderful host. She checked in on me frequently to make sure that I have everything that I needed. The single room that I booked was very comfortable and it had a lovely view from the window. It had the essentials such as towels, shampoo and conditioner, a small fan, TV, etc. The location is a distance away from Banbury station (about 10mins walk) but there’s a Morrisons conveniently located along the way. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in Banbury
Staff were really friendly, welcoming had lovely conversations.
Nothing.
Very comfortably
Location Clean with a comfortable bed
The room was extremely hot but so was the weather on that day
Attention to details.
Good location to the town
Due to the ridiculous heatwave @ 36 degrees, the room was ridiculously hot and as only a guest house, there was no air-conditioning as expected. They did provide a room fan
Overall it was a nice place, the lady who checked us in was pleasant and helpful. The place was clean room was nice, location perfect.
Couldn't sleep, it felt as if someone was in the room with me. I appreciate its a lovely old building with a history, but I just could not settle.
It has parking which was a big bonus The owner was very friendly and welcoming The room was nice and big and clean Quaint
Squeaky floorboards meant you could hear people walking about upstairs. Disappointing that we were not informed that breakfast is no longer available as it is 0.8mile walk into town
Quiet, pleasant, clean, comfortable and convenient for exploring Banbury (half a mile downhill). Breakfast NOT available.
Very friendly welcome. Room small but clean and beds comfy.
En-suite very, very tight. Lack of information how to get back in late at night. Lack of response to pre-requests about if breakfast was available and reservation for two. Dissapointment to find breakfast was no longer served despite still being advertised on their website and the 'A' board outside. Shame, lovely staff and building not being run to their full potential.
Beautiful, cosy and very clean! Debbie was a star!
Convenient to Banbury centre. Easy check in and out. Clean and tidy room. Pleasant host. Lovely addition with toiletries.
Could have done with fan due to high temperatures.
Very friendly and comfortable rooms.
The rooms are very well furnished with good quality furniture and soft furnishings. Good quality linen and towels. Very comfortable beds. Lovely toiletries supplied (& good quality loo paper too!) Free parking a real bonus
The outside area seems a bit run down, the gardens need attention although the outside seating area at the back looked nice. Our twin room was very small but not a lot could be done about that!
Location was ideal for where I wanted to be
Friendly staff, clean snd cosy room.
I wish breakfast was cheaper! We opted out.
Was informed immediately after booking that check in needed to be early or done remotely as not staffed after approximately 7:30
Location and it did / provided what I needed - a small comfortable room and bed for a night
Chambre très confortable et propre. Hôte très accueillante.
Malheureusement, le petit-déjeuner n'est plus proposé.
It was very clean and comfortable.
Just that the kettle flex didn't reach the socket, which meant I had to put the kettle under the table to plug it in. A longer flex needed.
Good sized room, comfortable bed. Free car parking
Bathroom light switch hidden behind TV screen!
Cosy room.
Bed is waaaay too soft. Plug hole in the shower was blocked
Very friendly staff! Helped me get comfortable with a change of pillows! Very clean and well kept. Great shower!
Have been coming for years, the charm of the building, its history and the lovely owner make it a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.
Nothing. Fantastic overnight spot.
Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Bed was super comfortable and the room was a great temperature
Nothing
The accommodation was excellent, very clean and both the building itself and its surroundings were very beautiful. It is also within a short walking distance of the city centre, which was very convenient.
The railway station is quite far away on foot. Also, the owner told us that breakfast was not available, even though we had read that it could be requested.
Close to Banbury and great land lady
Clean and lovely host
Door to my room very low
Didn't get chance to experience breakfast as we was up and out early for work rooms were clean staff was friendly and welcoming would definitely recommend and if were back in Banbury again for work we will definitely be stopping here.
Great location for us. Clean room and friendly staff.
Lacking facilities such as desk and chair, no fridge, and minimalist in terms of tea / coffee.
Location brilliant. Plenty of parking at the back. Nice continental breakfast. Debbie looked after us really well. Clean rooms. Nice bedding & towels. Open fire in the main hall, warming & welcoming. Will definitely return.
I wouldn't change anything. Comfortable stay.
Warm and very cosy
Bathroom a little small and no shampoo it ran out Not overly generous with tea bags and no decaf coffee but minor things which do not detract from the place at all too much
Clean room, friendly staff. 5min walk to town
Liked everything that was offered , from plenty of parking space , being made to feel welcome and at home so that I could enjoy my stay and rest and relax. Was pleasantly surprised and happy to be able to have my breakfast in my own room.
There was not anything I did not like.
The room was spacious, warm and comfortable. The owner was very friendly. Short walk into centre of Banbury.
The breakfast was a little costly for what we had, but it was delivered to our room so can't complain.
Excellent welcome on arrival, All revealant information given
There was absolutely nothing that I didn't like.
Location and cleanliness and team
Sounds,
Friendly staff. Clean room.
Advertised as bed and breakfast, but no breakfast eas available. Had to have breakfast at cafe in rowntree.
Lovely old building with well kept gardens, lady who met us was very friendly .
The room was very small as were the beds . We were expecting the beds to be together as in the picture of the twin room. Was very hot in the heat . We were provided with a small fan the following evening but room was still very hot so we decided to travel home
Fantastic Host. Made the stay very warm and welcoming. ++++
Location was really good and house was beautiful from the outside.
Room could have been a bit cleaner. Was dusty and had cob webs on the ceiling. Shower head wasn’t very clean with soap and limescale
The scenery and aesthetics of the building, along with comfy beds plus helpful staff.
Small rooms , however more than suitable
Didn't have breakfast it was additional cost
Small shower room
