I love that the awa is across the road the room is standard but everything we needed for cooking and washing is here. Thank you Adam for taking the time by ringing me today to check in and for coming to see if we were ok when we got here to check in Ngā mihi maioha kia koe mo tēnei wiki o te reo māori.

Reviewed Sep 12, 2026The location was great. Nice and quiet. The room was a good size for two people and had all the facilities that were required. It was an older building and the room reflected that, but it was absolutely fine for a place to rest.
The TV Reception was a bit annoying. The program kept cutting out due to internet access issues.

The only drawback was the shelf placement for the microwave. Should have been over the bench. Knocked my head a few times in the corner, as rubbish bin placed under neath, so moved it, but just beware. As it can be a storage area also.

Reviewed Aug 5, 2026The cottageI had everything we needed. Fresh towels were unexpectedly provided on the second day. The kitchen was well equipped with lots of kitchen utensils.
It was cold when we first arrived but soon warmed up. Decor somewhat dated and shower over bath was a bit of a challenge for me as an older person.

We did not expect to see the motel ground outside of units are not paved up and because of rain, it was messy to step on the ground The main heater for the living room was out of order even though they replaced with another unit which also did not work. The living room n bathroon were rather cold The overall facilities were rather run down

Everything worked and I appreciated that they provided coffee, tea, milk, and cleaning supplies. The beds were comfortable and clean, and the electric blankets were a lifesaver during early winter.
The floors in the bathroom collected a lot of moisture so it got a little slippery.

Quite run down. Carpet was threadbare in patches. No screens on windows so unable to get fresh air unless we were prepared to be bitten by the midges.
