The Lalit Temple View Khajuraho

Dining at Panna restaurant stood out for its good food and service. The rooms were good too. The temple complex entry gate is a 20-minute walk from the hotel, while the exit gate is a 10-minute walk away. This was very convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The term “Temple View” is slightly misleading, as the ground-floor rooms do not offer any view, while we were told the second-floor rooms did, and one can see a temple shikaras from the swimming pool area.

Designed ok. Staff at spa and reception mostly good. Staff at restaurant excellent.

Terrible housekeeping. Not great service recovery in the beginning with manager coming to meet in middle of my meal. Later it was done well before I left though

I got contact dermatitis while staying in the hotel, which clearly shows the bedding were not clean. Very bad experience just because of this issue otherwise no complains from this property.

Aucune réactivité : Nous avons envoyé à 5 reprises la même question à l hôtel qui a daigné répondre la cinquième fois en nous disant qu’on verrait sur place. Il y avait un mariage avec 600 personnes dans l’hôtel. Nous n’avons pas été prévenus même au moment du Check in. On nous a donné une chambre attenante aux toilettes pour le mariage. Le Mariage a duré jusqu à 4h30 du matin avec tous les invités passant dans le couloir. Le gérant de l hôtel nous avait rassuré en disant que le mariage se finirait à 23h !

Room was very comfortable with mod cons. Grounds of hotel were very beautiful and the view of the temples from the pool area was lovely. The staff are the most outstanding feature. The service is exceptional, the best we experienced in India.

Smoke detector in the ceiling just on top of bed/pillow area. Disturbing green flashlight at night. It is good to have a smoke detector but not in that location

The breakfast spread was perfectly fine and well prepared, and the location was truly fabulous. Being situated in such a great area added a lot to the overall comfort and enjoyment of the stay. And the mulled wine! It was quite a wow! Chanda at the spa provided excellent service. Lakshman at the Panna restaurant was attentive as always. Amit’s overall attention throughout the stay was warm and thoughtful. The location was fabulous and added greatly to the experience.

Exceptionally good breakfast! Specially Bhagwat Agnihotri was very humble and he took care of us very well. We are very impressed. Mr Singh (Cheff) made excellent food. One of the beat cooks!! We will visit again! Thanks!

Bathrooms needs little bit more updates.

Very disappointing experience due to poor coordination and lack of guest support We stayed at The Lalit Temple View, Khajuraho from 3–5 December 2025. While the staff was generally courteous and the food was good, a serious incident on the evening of 4 December completely overshadowed our stay. After a long day visiting Khajuraho Temples and Panna Tiger Reserve, our vehicle was stopped far from the hotel entrance by police. We were informed that because the Chief Justice of India was staying at the property, no vehicles were allowed inside. Shockingly, the hotel had given us no prior intimation about any such restrictions. We were asked to either walk back with luggage or wait indefinitely—despite traveling with two senior citizens and a 4-year-old child. When we contacted the hotel, the staff offered no real assistance, citing “district administration” and taking no responsibility. Later, even after the hotel assured us they would inform us when the road reopened, there was no communication for nearly two hours. Eventually, we were stopped again at the barricade and, with no support from the hotel, had to walk to the property carrying luggage, exhausted and uncomfortable. What was most disappointing was that on reaching the reception, there was no acknowledgment, apology, or effort to address the inconvenience. The issue was simply brushed off as something that had “never happened before.” For a hotel of this reputation, the lack of advance communication, on-ground assistance (such as a golf cart or escort), timely updates, and basic empathy was unacceptable. The experience caused significant physical and mental discomfort to my family. Overall, despite good food and polite staff, the poor handling of a predictable VVIP situation and complete absence of guest care make this stay very disappointing. I would advise future guests to be cautious, especially if traveling with elderly family members or children.

Good breakfast, nice spread of breads and fruits. Very friendly and efficient staff

The grounds and breakfast were the only redeeming features of this property. Cleanliness was very good. Staff over eager to please - a brand like LaLit should get the balance right. Bath gel and Body lotion was abundant and very good.

So far we have travelled for 35 days out of town and have stayed in 6 local and interational brand hotels along the way. The LaLit by far was the biggest disspointment. The in room TV required susbscriptions to watch anything of note. The promised high speed WIFi was all of 7 Mbps and higher speed internet was at an additional cost in a country that has very affordable and high speed internet access! Terrible beds. Ridiculously overpriced dining. The bar pricing was as expensive as most good hotels in the West. Thank God the beer was reasonably priced.

The check in experience was fantastic, being welcomed with a necklace, a tilak, and a drink. The tour immediately after checkin, the facilities, the breakfast, the service at breakfast and dinner.

At Lalit Temple View, we were treated extremely well - from welcome to departure. The staff really was very friendly and helpful. They took care of all our needs including helping us try new local dishes. Ravindra at the door was phenomenal, always smiling, always willing to help. All the front desk staff was super friendly and helpful as well.

I chose your hotel based on its reputation and expected a higher standard of comfort and service. I hope you take this feedback seriously and address these concerns to improve the guest experience.

Unfortunately, I feel that the room charge did not reflect the value provided. The quality and amenities offered were below my expectations considering the price paid.

The customer service from ( entry , reception , dining room etc), everything was exceptional . The people make the experience and the food was excellent too .

Closer to 5 star experience, it is better than Radisson that we stayed first night in Khajuraho. Nice guy in turban contributes to the real Indian experience. Garden and territory looks pleasant.

Staff is different, woman on reception were not smiling and spoke not that good English. Another man in the dining room is too familiar. Although it is called 'Temple view', there are no temples visible at least from our room, instead you may see the fields across the fence :)

The location is great - very close to the Western Group of Temples in Khajuraho. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful.

The booking.com reservation indicated 15% off food/drink in the "included extras". However the hotel did not honor this and did not give us the discount.

You will love the staff . If you have a chance try to get attended by staff like Jeetendra, Mukesh , Bhagwant...they will take good care of you.

Large sized pool, large grounds that are well maintained that we used to walk every morning and evening. Their housekeeping was unparalleled - they did up our rooms twice a day, and catered to every request without delay. They also got us very good guides for the temple tours. Service was very attentive and prompt.

We spent three nights at The Lalit Temple View Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The restaurant staff were outstanding, friendly, attentive, and with a great sense of humour, which made dining a really comfortable and enjoyable experience. Our room was very good, the housekeeping team were excellent, and the hotel grounds were beautiful. We also appreciated having access to a well-equipped gym. Overall, a wonderful stay, thank you to all the staff for making it so pleasant.

I was charged twice by the hotel. Reservations was done through Expedia and they told me no payment had been issued BUT the next day they told me they shall ask for refund asap and two weeks later l have not heard from them nor refund has been issued!!!!

Hotel situado en un maravilloso jardín y de una edificación comodisima . Instalaciones cómodas y excelentemente cuidadas. Habitación cómoda , amplia y el único pero sería el estado del baño, correcto pero quizá necesitaría una pequeña renovación . A pesar de ello el hotel es totalmente recomendable y el personal es muy atento estando pendiente de tus necesidades

The room was beautiful and spacious with a nice big window. Very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was great. The lunch and dinners at the hotel were also very good.

Everything and in particular the friendliness of the staff and service. The dinner and breakfast I had were absolutely outstanding! Please let the chef know. In particular the cappuccino Mushroom soup and the Lamb/Mutton Bryan in the clay put were super, super excellent. Thanks it’s a recommend.

The open areas were maintained well. That is the only saving grace for the Hotel.

Rooms and bathrooms are old and need immediate renovation. The amount which is being charged does not justify the service. Variety in menu of breakfast is needed. Bakery items were not fresh.

Wi-fi hardly worked A/C did not work Mini bar refrigirator was not cooling even the water Beds were too small Closets and drawers doors were too hard to open and close Side tables and furnitures were not cleaned properly, one can see the glasses and cups marks Bathrooms were horrible, too small and water comes out after the shower Gym has only one outdated treadmill There were no signs to throw used towels and water bottle for recycle in the sym For three guests, not ebough towels and toiletries were provided. They did after asking though. Iron and Ironing board was also provided once asked and wasn't there This was extremely poor and worst stay experience for approximately Rs. 25,000 a night and doesn't look a 5 star at all.

Excellent food and service

The gardens were beautiful. Such a shame that the hotel doesnt make more of them. They are tucked away. The staff are very attentive. They couldn’t do enough to help us. Lovely pool.

It wasn’t value for money. We felt it was over priced for what it was. Hotels of this cost should offer superior hotel interiors and better customer service. The rooms were off rather drab corridors. Once inside the rooms, they were pleasant. We always had to go and get a pool towel. We ordered one soft drink at the hotel which was very aggressively priced. A 10% service fee was also added. This is very unusual in India. The hotels pricing for the rooms & extras is very high. We have stayed at a Taj hotel or equivalent hotels for less!
