The room is clean, comfortable and the location is nice and near to the beach and downtown, the hill is a little bit high but it is not that much trouble

Beautiful hotel, ideal location. Exceptionally clean, large spacious room. Loved our stay, the only downside was building works carried out 7 days a week, the roof top bar was closed, which was the reason we book this hotel, over others in the resort. We were not notified of this before our stay, if we were we would have changed hotels. The staff were all so helpful, kind and friendly, especially Ron, who went above and beyond throughout our stay. He is a true gem to Sugar Palm.

Absolutamente nada. El personal no se molestó mucho en ayudarnos a pesar de que estábamos en la zona más alejada del hotel y necesitábamos ayuda especial para desplazarnos.

un horror. El hotel está completamente en obras por lo que no hay piscina, no hay roof top y está todo lleno de escombro. No se puede tener un hotel abierto en estas condiciones. Los operarios paseándose x la terraza de la habitación, nada de intimidad. Cada vez que querías coger el ascensor te eternizabas por estar siempre ocupado subiendo y bajando escombros. En el mejor de los casos llegaba y tenías que montar con 5 operarios y sus respectivos instrumentos de trabajo. Al estar en obras todo el hotel las piscinas tienen el circuito de saneamiento cortado por lo que la piscina a la que daba acceso nuestra habitación estaba sucia, llena de cascotes y con un color de agua horrible. La habitación de limpia tiene lo justo, mandamos que limpiasen dos días pero viendo lo que hacían decidimos no dejarles entrar más. Un ejemplo de cómo un hotel puede arruinar tus vacaciones.

Location private and close to the beach. Rooms spacious and beds comfortable. Staff accommodating and friendly. They upgraded my room for free. Very Impressed to stay here in the low season and pay a good rate

The lift a bit slow and had to wait during busy times. I see a lot of negative reviews. Many unjustified. I wouldn't hesitate staying again at a reasonable rate.

Nagyon jó helyen van a szállás. Viszonylag tiszta is volt, mindennap kaptunk új törölközőket, illetve mindennap takarítottak.

Rettenetes bűz áradt be a klímán keresztül néha, ezért nem lehetett bekapcsolni. A reggeli már a második naptól unalmas volt és nem volt változatos, valamit nem úgy néz ki mint a képeken. Aki ide foglal számítson rá, hogy nem az várja ami a fotókon van.

Habitaciones amplias y camas cómodas. Desayunos espectaculares hecho al momento y gran equipo de dirección. Nos regalaron unas camisetas porque estaban de obras y había ruido.

We really liked the location, and the small uphill walk was not a problem for us. Overall, we were satisfied with both the accommodation and breakfast. The staff were generally very kind and helpful, especially the cleaning team – they truly do a great job and deserve recognition.

Unfortunately, the reception was the only downside. It takes them ages to reply to messages, especially during the reservation process, which is disappointing for such a lovely and comfortable place. Honestly, if you have any questions, you’ll get more useful information from guest reviews than from the reception itself.

As other posts mention it has a very steep uphill walk of about 50 meters to the reception ( is a real problem for elderly or mobility challenged). Our room was in the second building which required 2 elevators and steps to access. The other two buildings I think you needed to use the hotel golf buggy. I had back and hip issues due to the hardness of the bed but my wife liked it. Communication was a problem as I had a message from booking.com that I had paid for our stay and it was very difficult to resolve because their English was poor.

Superb location, very close to Kata and Kata Noi beach. You can see Big Buddha from the hotel. Our room with Private Pool was amazing, I loved swimming in the evening and taking in the scenery. Breakfast is amazing, big variety of choice. Staff was also very nice and courteous

I didn’t realise that to get to my room required transport in a cart because of how steep the access was. However they were always very quick to respond with the transport which I used many times a day.

Great experience for such a reasonable price, room was very spacious and clean. Many thanks to the hotel stuff - attentive and helpful guys

The property was clean

I was over charged for 1 of our 5 rooms, the staff weren’t friendly or helpful. The first 2days we went without air conditioning and to get it fixed was a nightmare, breakfast was terrible. We paid for all 5rooms with breakfast included when we arrived only 2rooms had paid breakfasts. Our rooms were all so far away from each other and I specifically asked for rooms to be next to or close together. My son accidentally broke a glass and we were charged for it. Extremely disappointed being over charged they wouldn’t reason with us and they kept saying it was Booking.com error. Will never recommend this place so so disappointing. The week before we stayed at Andaman White Beach Resort and this place was amazing, beautiful, brilliant kind friendly staff, amazing location, great food, very clean.

Private pool

Hotel is very basic we only booked it because of private pool.

Numerous pools which meant that the pools were never overcrowded. We had a room with pool access which was great. The views from these rooms were also fantastic. Location was good, and an easy walk to the Kata Night Market.

I feel like this was a 3 star accommodation at best. The decor of rooms were outdated (eg. quality of finishes inside room were poor, facilities were passable). Toiletries were horrible (bring your own - especially after beach/chlorine hair!). The housekeeping was substandard. Our beds were made each day and towels changed, but benches remained dusty throughout our stay with clumps of dust, floors seemed to go unswept, we spotted and killed two cockroaches in our room, and a small gecko in our kids' room. My son was bitten all over his legs by some insect after the first night. They weren't mosquito bites and I sure as hell hoped they were bed bugs! We ordered 5 days of breakfast, which was uninspiring and by the 5th day, repetitive. There wasn't a huge variety on offer and the selection remained the same over the 5 days. TV channels were very limited with no streaming platforms available. Overall, the accommodation was passable but if the finer details matter to you, this was not it.

The hotel is 5 min away from the beach. The rooms are big with a balcony with a view to the beach. The breakfast is very good.

Great hotel and we loved spending time in our pool, breakfast was great, proximity to the beach and shops was a 3 minute walk, workout room was tiny however, climbing the hill to and from the hotel was enough of a workout that we needed.

As previously stated the resort is built on a steep incline, not suitable for those with mobility issues. We were on the top floor and the last 3 ascents were by a very steep ramp which was very difficult. Also the pool bar was not open during our stay

Pool was great. Location close to the beach was also great.

Housekeeping was lazy and didn't replace consumables like soap or shampoo. The hillside is a major effort to walk up when your room is in building 3 (up the back). We had an issue with housekeeping trying to charge for towels that were dirty that wasn't resolved until there was a heated discussion with management and photo evidence was provided which proved otherwise.

It’s quite run down and old looking, in need of some maintenance. Gardens have some rotten wooden steps, unsafe to walk on. Road to hotel needs fixing as the entrance has pot holes.

Big balcony, good view, and quiet compared to the noise of Kata beach.

The mobility inside the hotel is terrible. Need TWO lifts or a golf car to reach to the swimming pool. The conditions of the hotel are fair but for that price you can get a better room distribution in other hotels. Please also add a label or notice that most swimming pools are private.

I booked a Seaview room with Jacuzzi and did not get this when I checked in. The guy checking me in claimed I had been upgraded which was false I ended up in a room overlooked by tourists opposite staying adjacent rooms. Not happy at all and it took 5 nights of my stay before I was put in the correct room . Really disappointed with this and treatmemt

Great location at the start of Kata beach. Lots of food, tours, massage and restaurants nearby. Also 20-30 minutes walk there was clothing market with food options. Beach was accessible from hotel.
