Breakfast wasn’t breakfast it was grab and go

Everything was great. The one exception was that there was no hot water.

Had a short stay but this place was perfect! The beach is literally in front of the hotel, staff is the sweetest, check in and check out process was extremely easy, the room and hotel was extremely clean as well! you have so many food options walking distance too. Honestly I don’t think I ever took an uber to anything around me besides if you want to go to the other part of the island. Absolutely recommend!! And my favorite part of the stay was coco ❤️ 10/10 definitely plan to come back soon !

This place has a great view of the beach. The parking area isn't the best. If you can't parallel park well it will be difficult to park. Also alot of the excursions will not pickup from this location. But if you want to just enjoy the beach this location is perfect for you.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Perfect Stay at La Playita Hotel! From the very moment I arrived, I knew this place was special. Alberto greeted me warmly with a beautiful magenta leaf to comfort me, knowing I was visiting my sick aunt—a small gesture that meant the world. The bed was super comfortable, the air conditioning was perfect, and the food at their restaurant was absolutely delicious. But the best of the best? The view! Oh my goodness—what a view! Just a one-minute walk and you’re on the most beautiful beach, right in front of the hotel. I loved the little details too—free water, excellent coffee, and the incredible peace of falling asleep to the sound of the waves. This is truly the best place for comfort, relaxation, and recharging your spirit. I will definitely be back!

I absolutely loved how small and charming this hotel was, everything i needed from bar and food inside and also being right on the water, walking distance from great local restaurants and bars 10/10 recommend and would absolutely stay here again

I like how the beach was across the building and easy parking with everything I needed to land and start my trip in Puerto Rico after landing and very nice staff and complimentary breakfast with with a nice view in the back

This is a little hotel set off the peninsula in the Isla Verde area. It's mostly clean and an enjoyable place to stay. It's within walking distance of a few restaurants, bars, other hotels, casinos, and other places. The only down side is that it's by the airport enough that you hear the planes fly in day and night. The owner also has a few dogs that run around and do whatever they want. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is pretty, and comfortable. But the breakfast option is not adequate, is poor. Advice to do better on breakfast options.

The food at the restaurant was bad , the dont clean the room very well and the room are like old the smell is also not good!

The location is perfect in terms of being right on the beach. It's walking distance from many restaurants and the supermarket. The hotel itself can use a little update. They have a mini fridge, with a freezer that couldn't close all the way cause of the ice build up, so stuff got frozen. The closet only had hangers, so no place to put our stuff. The beds/pillows weren't too comfortable. The breakfast was only hawaiian bread with ham/cheese and mayo, coffee, mandarins, bananas, and apple, and some crackers, so we had to eat out all week. The staff was great and very helpful and kind. Theres a nice restaurant downstairs, but only opened on the weekend. Price is good and they let us do late checkout for only 20 extra per hour. I would go back for a short stay if i want to be right on the beach.

The atmosphere is relaxing, and the people are very friendly.

The only problem I had with this property is that I didn’t get to stay longer! It was amazing, very friendly staff, it’s walkable within the area and the best part is there’s beach area at every turn.

Amazing stay from start to finish all aspects where perfect only suggestion and ice maker and coin dryer for us to use.

The staff and hotel is Ahhhmazing. They just developed a restaurant and the food and drinks are good. I didn’t like the restaurant too much b/c they told me that I couldn’t bring outside food to the Lounge when they are in operation but the lounge is where the view is and I’m a hotel guest so I’m not going to eat in my room when I paid for the view… other than that everything was great.

I never will recommend anyone to stay there. Very nasty and dirty. Bar and restaurant very dirty also they informed me the hrs for restaurant and bar was from two to nine and only one day was open. The lock for the room broken we had a hard time to open are room door 🙄 I never going back to this nasty hotel if you have kids don’t even think to take them there.

It was ok but I wouldn’t stay more then 2 day this hotel only a day or two the max but the staff was wonderful and very helpful can’t complain that much didn’t like how that much ..

We booked the place very last minute and was very pleased with our stay. We were only there for one night and didn’t have the time to enjoy any of the amenities, but the view out the back patio was lovely. The place was clean, well kept, and check in was a breeze! I wouldn’t recommend planning to park, and it was a little challenging to get in and out of the place with a large SUV but we would definitely book again.

Firstly, there's no reception, no signage, clearly marked area other then the restaurant which is only open on weekends. After waiting nearly 15 mins and about to leave, I saw someone walking who came out to greet. She was very pleasant. I did not stay there for several reasons. The advertised refrigerator is only mini fridge, I needed to keep something frozen, the upstairs room I was placed in has stale cigarette smell and the downstairs I moved to triggered my mold allergies. They were ok with me leaving because I needed freezing space. I was unable to cancel or fer any refunds but I found a place better. Things to note: this is not a place to stay if you have mold and pet allergies or sensitive to aesthetics; the building sits by the ocean and about 90% repaired post 2017 hurricane. The employee has dogs.

Location and access to get to the hotel very hard. Parking for guest was very limited.

My flight got cancelled so I had to book something last minute. Called La Playita and asked if I could check in early and they were very accommodating. The woman that helped us was very nice. Check in was super easy and fast (we went straight to our room). Location was great- walking distance to everything. Would stay here again!

I canceled this reservation upon arrival because there was no parking, no signed entrance, no front desk, mo room assigned… the place is in remodelation and should be closed. Waiting on a refund.

The hotel pictures that are on the website are pre hurricane i believe. There is no longer a patio off of the back, it has fallen off. There is very limited parking, 5 spots for 15 rooms and a whole restaurant. The rooms are also nothing like what is pictured. My room decor was a little wooden roof over a glass christmas tree with LEDs in it. Definitely not worth the 200 a night price tag when there are very. Nice hotels across the street for 105-160 a night. There is no vending, bathrooms were moldy. There was clearly floor teim installed previously that is gone. It just needs a little face lift and a lower price. It does feel like a nice small hotel but the drunk guests at the restaurant walking past our rooms were obnoxious.

The general condition of the hotel is poor. Top to bottom. Door wouldn't close easily which was a hassle. Decor is pitiful. Would not recommend.

Great view of the ocean from my room and the hotel patio. Beach right next to hotel. Clean. No breakfast. I wouldn't even call it continental. Good coffee but no juice, cereals or bagels as advertised. Biscotti, apples, bananas and tangerines available.

Not beach front, although the beach is very close. Minimal parking. Area feels unsafe. Not as advertised. Breakfast was only apples, bananas, and bread (like rolls you would buy in a bag from a supermarket). No real breakfast. People were very nice though. We left 4 days early and went somewhere else.

Great location just between two beaches. Staff is very friendly and very helpful. They serve good basic breakfast with sandwiches, fruits and coffee. Bed was comfortable. Property could use some slight remodel, but given it is in the hurricane path, it is not most likely on the "to do" list. But I was happy with the stay.

The property was very rundown and the room wasn’t in very good shape either. The advertisement about it was very misleading!

I stayed only 2 nights but it was very cozy, it has a beautiful interior garden with orchids, a very cute open space. I walked 10 steps and was already in the beach. Highly recommended

The hotel butts up against the ocean so there are amazing views from the patio area and straddles two beaches. The room was lovely. We had a great view of the ocean from our windows and it was clean and comfortable. The king size room was large enough to comfortably spend time in it when we were ready for a break from the sun. The staff are amazing - accommodating and friendly. They make La Playita a truly special place. Easily walkable access to nearby dining and shopping via roads or beach. Highly recommend.

This view is breathtaking but it is more on the low budget type establishment than anything else. I didn't stay there because I had acquaintances on the nearby big name hotel chain on the main road. So, I'll give it a 2.5 stars.

My second stay at La Playita did not disappoint.

If a person wishes to stay at a small and economical hotel right on the beach then I recommend LaPlayita...

Nice low key hideaway right on the beach. Very casual. Great hotel dog. Near the airport so you hear the planes constantly. Clean but the property is run down. The continental breakfast is a joke but plenty of good restaurants nearby to walk to. I'd stay again but its not for everyone

The view from the back patio was amazing! The lady that met us to show check us in was nice. The room was tiny, which we expected. The decor was not pleasing, the bed was up on some blocks. The shower never got warm, much less hot. I couldnt find a plug in the bathroom for the hairdryer. A little updating and could be back to its glory. If you go in knowing this it could be ok. We were just sleeping in it not spending much time in it so it was ok.

Beautiful location. Friendly staff and clean hotel with a nice garden. Not a lot of space for parking but can park on the street, the hotel staff is not available at night for checking in, other guests are waiting as well.

Love this hotel! It was perfect! Everything you need is in walking distance. A public beach to your left or a more private beach to the right, just steps away. Casino is 3 blocks away. Breakfast at 6:00am from a gorgeous ocean front view. 20 minute drive to old San Juan. I rented a bronco, but a taxi or uber is another way to get to Old San Juan. Old San Juan is great for day or night life. Don’t forget to check out the two castles for only $10 bucks per person. You won’t be disappointed with this lovely hotel. Better than any fancy hotels.

Nice little tucked away place!

Quiet, secluded property. Friendly staff. Clean room. Views to die for. A very calming, relaxing experience.

The breakfast terrace was the high point of the property, other than the staff who were wonderful and very accommodating. The breakfast terrace sits right on the ocean. Two gorgeous beaches are minutes walks away, as is a variety of dining options. The property itself is tired and in need of repairs and upkeep. We reserved a queen bed but had a full. The couch in our room was faded and stained, and we had a significant leak when it rained.

the staff was very helpful, and the breakfast was adequate But there is no reception nor personnel to open the hotel gate. Expedia did not provide a telephone which is the only way to reach someone inside the hotel and get to your room The rooms would do better having a hair dryer, a coffe maker and a proper closet

If you are looking for more relaxing, chill feel as if we’re at home. This is definitely a place to stay. Very friendly, safe respectful place and ppl. We were relocated here from another hotel and I must stay it was quite pleasant. A few feet from the beach area, shopping restaurants were within walking from the distance hotel. I will definitely recommend and will be staying again

An incredible gem in a prime location. The hotel itself is outdated and simple, providing bare bones necessity items. Certainly, not a luxury hotel for sure however, ample large common area with the potential for a kitchen/eatery. One side faces the ocean and the other side is right at the very beginningof Isla Verde Beach. For those who enjoy gambling and the grand lobby of the El San Juan hotel, and casino, this hotel is only a 10 minute walk away. There are only about five dedicated parking spots on the property and if you don’t get one, you will need to park on the street.

This was my first time returning home in 18 years, I was nervous and the staff was amazing they provided local recommendations and were over all very attentive. The room was super clean. Very homey feeling, very relaxed environment. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the parking is very limited and I wish I had know ahead of time. I was so nervous about hitting peoples cars trying to get in a tight spot.
