Breakfast was outstanding and dinners. Pool and pool area clean with plenty of towels. Awesome view from the pool. Our room was in the old part. It was huge with an amazing view to Kitzbuhel. The spa was beautiful. All the staff at the hotel were so friendly and professional. (Bar, Breakfast, Dinner, Reception and Spa staff) Shuttle Service to the ski hill and town were timely and great!

So good that you probably never had to have lunch. Dinners were delicious. I had two spa treatments (facial/massage) which were soooo good.

Schön ist der geräumige Pool und die Aussicht vom Wellnessbereich. Das ist schon einmalig.

Leider mussten wir beim Frühstücks- und Abendbuffet (spontan angeboten) sehr oft nachfragen. Nicht nur Speisen waren schnell vergriffen oder erst nach SEHR langer Wartezeit erhältlich, auch Geschirr mussten wir suchen. Schade, dass dieses Hotel während unseres Aufenthalts nicht die gewünschten Leistungen erbringen konnten. Leider hatten wir im Zimmer etwas vergessen und erst kurz nach dem Auschecken bemerkt, was auf Nachfrage dann aber schon nicht mehr auffindbar war. Was noch interessant sein könnte: Es gibt neben der großen Sauna nur noch eine weitere „Sitzsauna“.

The staff is great, the pool looks amazing and is perfect to relax after skiing. The breakfast is great with so many options and the restaurant is also amazing. This was the second time we’re at the hotel.

We were a group of friends, going for a weekend ski trip and wanted to stay in a smart, classic Austrian hotel. We booked Schloss Rooms to get the most authentic experience. Due to a booking screw up by our agents, we had two Schloss rooms and a shared suite. Check in was OK but time consuming form filling on a digital pad, then we were told that the rooms in the Schloss have no lift - no offer of help with bags - just have to lug them up the stairs on your own. The Schloss rooms are supposed to be 'traditional' but come across as - not touched in the last 20 years. Either the furniture was from a yard sale or just never maintained. The TV was precariously propped on a table too small and I had to crawl around on the floor to try and plug in the ariel cable. Luckily the weather was fab because if you have wet clothing there is no-where to dry it, the room is heated by boxed in radiators and cooled by opening the windows! There is a handheld shower, which was so tight to the wall it's impossible to stand underneath unless you hold it... it's a long time since I've experienced this. Water was supplied so tick for that. On a positive, the room was quiet albeit hot, and the mattress was firm and comfortable. Breakfast was good, especially off of the menu card, and the shuttles to the ski lift were constant and efficient. When it came to leaving, we had lugged our bags back to reception only to be told our rooms needed paying for. What followed was a series of requests for emails, bank statements and confirmations to try and prove the rooms were prepaid. Surely when we checked in, they would have taken a pre-charge on a card if this was the case?? We stood there for 30mins, with our taxi threatening to leave and our flight pending, before they found the funds in their account. No apology, no sense of responsibility just a request for a further room tax charge. I'm sure the big view pool is a massive draw but that's full of screaming kids by late afternoon, even out of school holidays, otherwise a disappointing and expensive experience.

Facility was nice, especially the pool! It was a bonus to have a ski shuttle to the mountain. Breakfast was very good either way many choices.

We enjoyed our rooms in the castle. They were very comfortable and spacious but there is no elevator and we had to climb up 2 flights with luggage. Should have asked for a lower floor.

Posizione molto bella per chi vuole stare fuori dal centro, ma a 18 minuti di passeggiata a piedi. Parcheggio riservato disponibile all’aperto o a pagamento anche al coperto (chi tiene molto alla macchina capisce). cani ben accetti anche nella zona bar/bistrot dove ci hanno fatto accomodare sia per colazione che per la cena senza problemi.

Un po’ cara, ma d’altronde la struttura è bella e siamo stai molto bene.

Swimming pool

The hotel has 150 rooms and is a ski hotel. You have to get a bus to lifts and the hotel has one minibus that sits eight working a lot of time. The return journey time at best with putting skis on etc is 15 minutes. There is a second bus but that starts at 09.00. At beginning day we waited up to an hour for a space standing outside. At end day there is always a wait. The hotel ran out of bar snacks and draft beer. Never been in a hotel which manages to run out of both.

Det ene rommet var veldig kaldt da vi kom, og det tok lang tid å få opp varmen. Dette skyldes at vinduet sto oppe da vi kom og at rommet var i gamle del av bygget

Allgemeine Teile des Hotels sind phantastisch, neu, großzügig, modern, besonders Schwimmbad und Sauna sind toll. Zimmer groß genug. Frühstück in Ordnung.

Das Zimmer (Junior Suite) war ausreichend groß, hat aber in Relation zum Preis alt und abgewohnt gewirkt. Entweder Preise runter oder renovieren. Frühstück ist in Ordnung, aber nicht außergewöhnlich. Mir fehlten Dinge wie frisch gepreßter Orangensaft bzw. feine smoothies. Größter Schwachpunkt ist das Personal: zwar meist (nicht immer !) freundlich, aber teilweise weder Deutsch noch Englisch verstehend !!

Rezeption war Unterirdisch. Rest Personal super. Man sieht klar welcher teil renoviert ist und welcher nicht. Wellnessbereich bekommt 10 von 10 von mir. Eben so die Bar inclusive das Personal an der Bar.

Amazing time

The lobby, the restaurant, the bar are renovated and look great. The dinner menu was delicious. The service was great. The pool and view is nice. The breakfast was small but very good. We could always order fresh eggs in different ways. Overall a great experience.

The rooms are very old and not very well cleaned. Found an empty bottle under the bed. The swimming area is also old. Why is there a need for a solarium? Could have been a sauna. For the first time in a spa there was no tea and at the lunch/ evening no fruits were left in the basket. There is no sauna to get in with clothes especially good when in big groups of friends. The hamam is very small and quite cold. The dinner was great, but whenever we wanted something extra like another scoop of icecream, they said we need to pay extra which is not nice and it’s a small gesture. Also, since when do we pay 3,5 for tap water in Austria? Especially when there is such a big city tax! I find it unfair! Also, the price for coffee at the bar is extremely high, 7€ for double espresso is not really ok.

Excellent breakfast, beautiful views and ambience, and exceptional staff and hospitality. Also very convenient for skiing (punctual shuttle bus, easily accessible ski storage and on site ski shop).

Met name aan de receptie waren Anastasia, Irini en Johnny zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam, dank daarvoor! Ook de medewerkers achter de bar verstonden hun vak en waren beleefd en vriendelijk.

De 2 slaapkamers lagen ver uit elkaar en de ene slaapkamer bevond zich geheel boven in het torentje, dat niet bereikbaar was met een lift, dus helaas veel trapgelopen.

Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. So wie auch die Dame, die für die Reinigung zuständig war.

Beim Roomservice kann man nur bis 17:00 Uhr bestellen, danach hat alles, auch nur einKaffee, einen Aufschlag von zehn Euro. Sowas hab ich vorher in keinem vier oder fünf Sterne Hotel erlebt. war der Roomservice am Telefon nicht besonders freundlich.

The pool, room and breakfast were great. The facilities in general meet our expectations.

Our check in was not great. It took us nearly 60 mins to check in as they could not find our booking. I had to retrieve bookings from my account and eventually they did find them. The hotel service was quite slow and seemed disjointed when ordering drinks from the bar. The hotel is further out from the town from what the description gives on booking.com.

Tijdens mijn verblijf in dit hotel heb ik een ontzettend fijne ervaring gehad. Het hotel heeft een frisse en luxe uitstraling, wat zorgt voor een warm welkom bij binnenkomst. Alles is stijlvol, strak en schoon ingericht, met duidelijk oog voor detail. De kamers zijn comfortabel en goed uitgerust, het ontbijt uitgebreid en vers, en ook het restaurant is van hoge kwaliteit. Een absoluut hoogtepunt is het panorama zwembad, met een adembenemend uitzicht over Kitzbühel, een unieke ervaring! Bovendien is het hotel ideaal gelegen als uitvalsbasis om de omgeving van Kitzbühel te verkennen. Kortom: een aanrader voor wie comfort, stijl en persoonlijke service waardeert!

Niets op aan te merken!

The hotel was beautiful. Exceptionally clean. The pool was probably the most stunning I have seen anywhere in the world. The staff were incredibly friendly, especially Botond and the staff covering dinner in the restaurant.

It was extremely hot during our stay. Whilst the main hotel areas had aircon the rooms didn’t. This was the only thing in the whole stay that could be improved. There were room fans but given the extreme heat they didn’t do much use.

The facilities were great. The breakfast was a great start to a days skiing. We had dinner one night in the hotel which was good however I thought it was pricey in comparison to other eating venues in the nearby town.

Our check in wasn't a great experience as they could not find the bookings quickly. I had to rely on my booking reference via the booking.com app. That took nearly 1 hour to get resolved. Since there was a large group of us I thought the hotel was under-staffed especially at night. We all would congregate in the bar area and it did take while to get served. The hotel is not centrally located which we knew however the distance that is advertised is not correct. It is a good 20 minute walk into the centre of town and not 10 mins.

The thermal pool is absolutely fantastic. and the location of the hotel is good. The breakfast is delicious with a wide variety of options.

Spa is nice

Shuttle to the service definitely doesn’t work. Tried to talk to the manager and she was clear that this service is complementary, so I shouldn’t expect much. Van to lift are are small and always packed. It was a fight everyday managing to get a spot in this van. Really disappointing for someone who wants to ski, this hotel is not prepared for it.

I had a bad experience. There was no hot water in my room on the second day and it last until the other day noon time. After skiing my husband couldn’t take shower. The hot water was running out when my daughter half showed and that’s why she caught a cold and had fever. I called the reception where we could take shower but she responded unhelpful and no where we could go. Also on the second day dinner was a buffet, we booked our table at 19:30 and all the food was already empty. It’s totally empty and many guests complained and people were standing there to wait for food. For a 4 stars hotel it’s totally unacceptable. Obviously the hotel cannot pass through stress test when it’s full house.

Tolle Gastronomie, sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Die angebotenen Speisen waren sehr gut. Der Pool und Wellnessbereich sind spitzenklasse, bei toller Aussicht. Der Shuttleservice war wirklich sehr gut. Ich habe mein Fahrzeug nicht einmal benutzt im Urlaub. Der Skikeller ist auch gut.

Teilweise war die Kommunikation mit dem Hotelpersonal schwierig, da die Deutschkenntnisse oft nicht sehr ausgeprägt waren. Das Personal war an Heiligabend mit dem Service beim Menü etwas überfordert. Mein Fahrzeug wurde angeboten, zu parken, jedoch fehlte mir der Hinweis, dass es in einem nicht überdachten Bereich abgestellt wurde. Als ich abreisen wollte, wurde das Fahrzeug mit Schnee bedeckt und zugefrorenen Scheiben gebracht. Hätte man mich darauf hingewiesen, hätte ich die kostenpflichtige Tiefgarage gewählt, wovon ich nach der Kommunikation ausgegangen war. Ein weiterer Kritikpunkt war ein stark betrunkener Gast mit sehr anstößigem Verhalten, auch vor Kindern, bei dem das Personal relativ spät eingeschritten ist. Die Kritik wurde allerdings angenommen und soll intern thematisiert werden.

The hotel location and its facilities, the view, the quality of food

It was our second stay in this hotel last 3 years, first stay - we were very satisfied, but this time we had problems with service - chaos in the restaurant, waiting for food for 2 hours, in overall management was not very professional, with exception of bar tenders and Maria at the reception and shuttle bus drivers.

Te druk waardoor shuttle service vaak ontoereikend met lange wachttijden. SPA overbevolkt met onduidelijkheid over te volgen etiquette.

It is truly amazing how such a beautiful hotel with such fantastic infrastructure can be so horribly mismanaged. The hotel was recommended to us by people who have been there in the past, but something has clearly gone wrong there. The staff is made up of a ragtag team of predominantly Greek people and other non-German speaking nationalities, who seem to have been specifically handpicked for their lack of experience and short fuse. The only people who seemed to know what they were doing were the bartenders and the kitchen staff who managed to produce decent food at the price of having to wait for it for hours. To be specific: At arrival things seemed quite alright apart from the fact that nobody seemed to speak German. The rooms were fine. Luggage was brought to us by a tall friendly man. From that point on things started going downhill. At dinner it took the staff 2 hours to bring our main course. The house rule for ordering drinks seemed to be that you had to ask the waiter 3 times for your drink before they brought it. This process was repeated every single day (we stayed 5 nights). Upon inquiring whether they could bring the food a little faster since we have a newborn who needs to sleep (it was already 23:00), we were ominously told by our waiter that “our time will come” – possibly because the staff also lacked English skills. After that the waiter started arguing with the woman from the restaurant reception. He told her to hold his tablet while she walked past our table, since “she could also wait a bit if all the guests had to wait for everything”. Once the bill arrived the waiter explained to us that he had given us a EUR 160 wine and not a EUR 50 wine by mistake, but since we had consumed it unknowingly, we had to pay for it. We politely declined which visibly confused him, and he proceeded with trying to tell us that they may be able to give us a discount. We declined the offer and he managed to bring the price down to the original price, after 20 minutes of pondering out loud what he should do. The cleaning lady in the morning wisely asked at what time she should clean our room out of respect for our newborn, only to scold us the next day why we were in the room 45 minutes after she should have cleaned it. My wife tried to explain that the cleaning lady was 45 minutes late, and we needed to feed the baby, but she possibly didn’t hear the explanation because she slammed the door midsentence. Before going to the SPA in the afternoon our friends ordered room service only to be told to go to the bar and pick it up themselves, since there was no one available to bring it up. The SPA, while having one of the most iconic views in Kitzbühel was clearly too small for the huge hotel, especially considering the fact, that only the outside sauna was properly working. The other saunas and the steambath were clearly not at the right temperature which for an Austrian hotel is truly sinful. The outside sauna was therefore crowded with people looking like a can of sardines. At New Years the party was magnificent. We concluded that service was perhaps so horrible, because the staff wanted to motivate the guests to bribe them for better service. This theory proved to be correct, since we were given the best table and proper service after prepayment. After having finally cracked the code, we thought our stay may improve, but were welcomed the next two days by the fact that the warm water at the hotel had stopped because something broke. Thus, we were treated to a free cold shower procedure for the rest of our stay. All in all it was comic but definitely not recommendable. A change of management or perhaps the hiring of management in the first place is a good recommendation for The Lebenberg Schlosshotel.
