Some staff were clueless. Couldn’t speak anything but Italian which is difficult when you’re in hospitality at the hotel’s front desk!! The single beds aren’t that comfortable and there were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room - we had to ask especially for them.

Good location in the middle of town, just off of the main street in Orvieto. Room was nice, nothing special but very functional. Breakfast was the best we had during our two week stay in Italy, and I would like to highlight how nice the breakfast room staff was. Front desk was also helpful, she called to restaurant to reserve a table for us, which turns out to be very helpful as that restaurant was turning away all walk-ins, to the point the owner locked the door. Good value for your money.

Colazione pessima, da pensione di terz’ordine, priva del minimo indispensabile, cappuccino freddo, uova non disponibili, tè con acqua nel bollitore non calda, cibo miserrimo, personale sgradevole e per nulla accogliente e disponibile. In camera telefono non funzionante e mai riparato, frigo bar che non raffreddava, mancanza di appoggio per le valigie, letto scomodo (matrimoniale ma con due materassi separati e scomodissimi), biancheria del bagno da pensione di terz’ordine, kit di accoglienza in bagno ridicoli, in terrazza - sporca - tracce di animali vari (topi), stanza posta all’ultimo piano ma senza ascensore e per di più nessuna persona di servizio che ci abbia aiutato a portare le valigie (due ospiti over 60), taxi per ripartire prenotato e mai arrivato. Hall tristissima. Esperienza negativa sotto tutti i punti di vista. Rapporto qualità/ prezzo pessimo.

Hello, I had a very nice day for two nights checked out early and I needed to get a ride down to the train station which I took a taxi on my way to your hotel on Friday and it was 15 euro. I asked the front light desk to order me a taxi not a private car a taxi because €15 is what I expected to pay to take transportation down to the train station which is .9 miles they asked me if I would share a car. I said sure thinking I was going to split the 15 eu or maybe a little bit more. And the guy charged us €50 to drive .9 miles down which it was literally a very short distance. I cannot recommend this hotel because they have people at the hotel that are on a scam with drivers please please you have a very nice hotel they need to watch out. This is the first time I have ever been ripped off in Italy and I was totally ripped off.

The rooms were fabulous, bright airy and spacious. The location was very central. The communal area is slightly dated and but the rooms have been renovated and are lovely. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

We had two rooms for a family of 4 0- we probably could have gotten by with one room to be honest. Rooms were large and comfortable. Excellent beds and showers. Location made it easy for walking around and exploring Orvieto. The breakfast provided many choices and hotel hosts were friendly and provided local recommendations.

Ottima posizione centrale.. Stanza all ultimo piano ..molto grande e con ogni confort.. Terrazzo privato con una vista meravigliosa su tutta la città.

Excellent hotel. Large rooms. Refreshing luxury especially after few nights in awkward ABBs. Parking nearby. Quiet area. Short stroll to Cathedral and several other charming piazzas. The staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast top notch. Many restaurants and shops just few steps away.

Camera ampia e spaziosa, pulitissima con un bel terrazzo che dà sui tetti di Orvieto. Personale alla reception gentilissimo, ci ha consigliati molto bene nella scelta del ristorante per la sera. Ottima colazione a buffet con personale accogliente .

We were allocated a room with a generous terrace giving amazing views of the surrounding countryside. This really made our stay memorable as we did not expect this. The hotel location is excellent. The interiors may be a bit dated, but everything was very clean and all the staff were courteous and helpful. Breakfast was adequate. Would recommend for the location and the rooms with views.

Breakfast could be improved. Plenty of sweet items but savoury items in short supply.

Матрас очень мягкий и про давленный был. Но второй у ребёнка был нормальным.

Os funcionários muito prestativos sempre muito educados e dispostos a nos fornecer o melhor, sempre. A localização é maravilhosa, no centro perto de todas as atrações. Quarto super limpo.O café da manhã muito bom também, tudo bem completo. Amamos o quarto com sacada com uma vista maravilhosa! Banheiro espaçoso e o chuveiro muito bom.

Escadas inesperadas para o 5° andar. Tem elevador mas não vai diretamente para 5° andar. Foi um pouco incômodo porque estávamos com malas grandes e muito pesadas.

Ontbijt in een te kleine ruimte. Wannee er een lage bezetting is wordt er blijkbaar bespaard op ruimte en personeel. Parkeerplaats vinden is niet vanzelfsprekend, zeker als alle parkeerplaatsen longer plein bezet zijn

Hotel in ottima posizione, ho soggiornato in una camera confortevole all’ ultimo piano con terrazzino e vista meravigliosa su Orvieto, in quanto ho preferito un bagno con box doccia anziché vasca. La stanza era ampia e pulitissima e con frigobar rifornito. Ottima la colazione, completa di tutto. Il personale è stato molto gentile e cordiale, ed il soggiorno molto piacevole.

Hotel is in a great location and has clean rooms and a good breakfast.

One of the guys on the front desk was quite off hand, which I didn't feel was necessary and we did not feel very welcomed by him at all.

Colazione misera con Yogurt dell’eurospin (letteralmente), la camera aveva pavimento e letto puliti, nel resto, polvere e segni di pulizia non profonda (doccia con capelli e macchie di calcare, sia doccia che lavandino intasati, finestre sporche, due bottiglie di acqua frizzante, ma neanche una naturale, mancanza di shampoo, piante del terrazzo non curate) muro rotto e mal riparato, in generale senza dubbio non un servizio ed un attenzione degna di un hotel a 4 stelle

l'hotel si trova in un'ottima posizione, ma il parcheggio rende tutto difficoltoso! solo a pagamento, con limitazioni dovute ai divieti e senza alcuna agevolazioni per gli ospiti. Colazione da migliorare, magari con prodotti meno industriali.

The staff is not sufficient enough, there were only 3 people taking care of breakfast, which was scarce, messy and late. Overall the hotel is old and worn out, doesn't feel very clean.

Mieliśmy piękny widok na miasto z tarasu. Przyjechaliśmy późno - o północy. Bardzo pomocny pracownik recepcji pojechał z nami na parking, gdzie można bezpiecznie zaparkować auto. Śniadanie było zróżnicowane i smaczne.

Overall 5/5. We loved our 2 night stay here in this superb medieval small hilltop town with a breathtaking Duomo. Very helpful reception staff. Perfect location, spacious room and bathroom. 2 balconies. Fine views and very helpful staff. They even showed us the ancient tufa caves underneath the hotel. Thank you. Arrival 5/5. We took the train from Perugia to Orvieto station. You can get the funicular from Orvieto station to the hilltop town, but you may have to drag your cases quite a way to your hotel in the old town, depending on its location and it’s all uphill. We saw a few doing it and it’s all cobblestones. Check your hotel’s distance from the funicular. Also, during our stay, the funicular was sometimes out of action. We took a cab - 16 euros. Check in was friendly and efficient. We were allocated room 502 on the 5th floor. There are lifts, but they only goes to the 4th floor. So a bit of carrying require. Worth it though for excellent view. Location 5/5. Perfect. A 20 second walk to the nearest restaurant (where we ate both nights - excellent). Lots of restaurants, shops etc within a 2-5 minute stroll. The superb Duomo is 5 minutes away. Nowhere is far. Room 5/5. Electronic key card entry. A spacious room everything you need for a few nights stay. Comfy, massive bed. Aircon/heater. Bedside cabinets with a drawer and nightlights. Lots of floor space either side of the bed. Desk and table. Large chest of drawers. Large wardrobe. Fridge/minibar. Easy to use digital safe. TV. Two large sets of doors leading to 2 balconies. The larger one had a table and chairs and 2 sun loungers. After dinner close by, we sat out both evenings with a glass of wine and some gentle music, enjoying Umbria. Bathroom 5/5. Very spacious with all that we needed. Large shower, huge sink, toilet, bidet and even a stool to sit on. Large window where you can look across the terracotta rooftops. Soap, shower gels etc. Breakfast 4/5. Pretty good. Limited fruit and hot food choices. Cereals, breads, pastries, coffee/tea. All OK. Negatives. Struggling to think of any really - no kettle, as we do like our tea, but this is becoming the norm in hotels now.

Avevo chiesto con ampio anticipo di avere un posto auto nel loro garage ma non mi hanno nemmeno risposto. Attenzione alla doccia > è scivolosissima, non c’è un minimo appiglio interno e per i diversamente giovani ritengo sia veramente pericolosa

Nice hotel, first time here. Helpful staff, good breakfast. Near a nightclub, so not the quietest place on a Friday or Saturday night, but we enjoyed our stay nonetheless. Clean, comfortable rooms and reasonable prices.

Location in the city. Very close to all the city attractions. If you use the train station, the funicular from the station to the city center does not work. There is a shuttle bus. It will take you up the hill next to the fortress. The hotel is a short walk (~1 km) along a straight street with a slight climb. Not recommended walk with a suitcase. It is recommended to take the local bus "A". It goes to the cathedral, and the hotel is less than 10 minutes away by walk. Breakfast. Not very varied, but good, and you can have lunch in one of the many restaurants nearby. Shower cabin. I like that the glass door closes completely.

We were met by a gentleman who's name is Maurice,  he gave a lot of information and advised on places of interest and great significance to the area. We later checked in, got to our room and although it seems old it is very comfortable and spacious. We also have a large bathroom with a double shower. Breakfast buffet was lovely,  plenty of variety. The Accommodation has an elevator which is a winner, and the location is central to everything.

Grand Hotel Italia apparently just opened, and it was a fantastic experience! It's a beautiful hotel with knowledgeable and friendly staff, oversized rooms, and upgraded bathrooms. They kept some of the most beautiful parts of the old hotel, including the lobby and staircases, but everything else is totally new. The hotel breakfast was amazing--the waffles had the freshest, most incredible berry compote. This was one of my favorite hotels during a trip across Italy, and I'd highly recommend a stay here.

帰りの空港までのアクセスが心配でタクシー手配を相談したところ、とても丁寧に情報をくださり、予約をお願いすることにしました。 お部屋も清潔で雰囲気もよく、朝食も美味しかったです。8日間の旅程のなかで、一泊の滞在でしたが、一番素敵なホテル体験でした。 街の中心にあるので歩いて回るのにもとても便利でした。

The breakfast was amazing. We were offered cappucino, plus there was strong excellent coffee where we could serve ourselves. Excellent juices and fruit. Plus a couple of hot items, which may change. Ours were scrambled eggs and american-style bacon. Plus wonderful fresh sweet and savory croissants. Our room (405) was large but the pillows were large and very firm. We asked for soft pillows but none were available. The A/C worked well. The electricity outlets were not convenient. They were under a table so we had to use our phone flashlights to see how to fit our adapters and converters. Would be nice to have an outlet that is table-height.

Hard pillows. One guy at the front desk was older and not very helpful. He didn't have a TV channel guide and didn't know which channels might have sports. With 100 channels, it was VERY slow to determine that channel 64 was the Suoer Tennis Channel. The TV was small and hard to see from the beds. Another younger guy was very helpful with recommending restaurants and sightseeing tips.

The shower needs upgrading. There was nowhere to put soap or shampoo & the floor was dangerously slippery. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The bed or mattress needs upgrading to a more comfortable option.
