Posizione eccellente. I giovani ragazzi dello staff sono stati gentilissimi. Camere pulite e la nostra aveva la vista sul mare e sulle casette colorate del borgo. Una gioia per gli occhi. Colazione eccellente.

Peut être le fait d’être dans une chambre mansardée. Mais c’est vraiment qu’un détail.

Heel goed hotel, super locatie, top personeel en de garage met parkeermogelijkheid is echt een grote troef.

Chambre très agréable et bien éclairée située au 3 étage - changement obtenu moyennant supplément. Très belle vue sur l'île Palmaria et le Brocche. Très belle terrasse donnant sur le port pour prendre le petit déjeuner.

La première chambre qui nous a été proposée au 4e étage était petite et très sombre. C'est avec beaucoup de gentillesse et d'efficacité que l'un des concierge (Gianluca) a trouvé une solution qui a convenue.

The location is incredible; beautiful setting beside the water, interesting to explore without too many tourists, and plenty of high quality shops and restaurants. Very close to the ferry dock for day trips, which was very convenient. Secondly, the hotel staff were faultless; always so friendly and willing to help, never rushed - we can't talk highly enough of the staff and it's amazing how the hotel has created this kind of environment, very impressive and goes a long way as a guest. Thirdly, the restaurant was fantastic - brilliant breakfast with the tastiest omelettes, and high class dinners with a great wine and cocktail list!

Didn't have a swimming pool, but you can take a dip in the sea, not too far away. We felt the terrace space was very large and the hotel was missing a trick by not setting up soft seats/loungers with umbrellas along the narrow passage that extended round the side of the restaurant, which looked like dead space, and could instead be used as a place to sit and rest outside with a book/drink.

Close to beach

Family room had no air conditioning and right next door (balcony had workers looking in ) . Staff just shrugged shoulder!

The hotel is very well placed in Porto Venere. The room offered a good view across the sea and the terrace is a nice place for breakfast and for a cocktail.

The garage has a very narrow entrance and exit which I would guess is too narrow for many big cars. The aircon struggled to bring the room temperature down below 24C, which was a bit too hot for comfortable sleep.

We had a memorable stay at the Portovenere Grand! From the minute we arrived, the staff made sure we were very welcome ! The staff at all levels went out if their way to please us and ensure that we were pampered in every way! We are grateful to all for the warmest hospitality!

Can’t imagine anything we didn’t like! We would definitely stay here again!

small window with no balcony- misleading description was told to check out late would be half the cost of 1 night. I inquired ahead of time, however they charged us a full additional night stay and we left the hotel by 6pm.

Amazing hotel in an incredible setting

Localização muito boa, com vista para toda a cidadezinha e o mar. Como Portovenere é bem pequenininha, dava para fazer tudo a pé e super rápido.

Já é a segunda vez que me hospedo nesse hotel, que é maravilhoso!

Hoog service niveau en zeer vriendelijk personeel

Kamer zelf kan wellicht een update gebruiken. Badkamer was daarentegen uitstekend.

This is an expensive, luxury hotel with first class service, and the price reflects it. The location cannot be better and we had an excellent view of the sea from our room. Breakfast was included and was wonderful. We hiked 9 miles from Riomaggiore to Portovenere and the trail drops into town just one block from the hotel. Staff arranged a cab to La Spezia for us when we left and escorted us from the lobby to the waiting cab (parking in town is virtually non-existent).

Again, very expensive, but everything was perfect.

Molto bella la location. Lo staff molto gentile. La colazione top. Dettagli e decorazioni particolari. Comodissimo il posto auto in garage per poi raggiungere altri posti in barca o coi mezzi.

This is definitely not a five star hotel! This is a scam. It struggles to be a 4 star.hotel at twice the price I often question the Booking.com rating system . It is extremely overpriced.The rooms and bathrooms and vanity are small. The food in the restaurant was not fresh. There were few guests dining there. The wine was not fresh . I felt ill after eating. The outside street restaurants are so much better.

The location was stunning. We had an amazing top floor room with 2 balconies. Incredible views. We also appreciated the welcome gift and bottle of prosecco. The staff were very nice and professional.

Some parts of hotel were dated. Would be nice to switch up the breakfast options as we were there for 5 nights. Also, I’m not sure I would recommend the Possa wine tour. It wasn’t very professional and seemed thrown together.

Outstanding hotel. Great location, walking distance to everything. The hotel is well appointed and updated. The staff are incredible friendly (all of them, without exception). Food and drink also exceptional. Well done!

Amazing staff and accessibility

We stayed at Grand Hotel Portovenere to explore Cinque Terre for three nights during our honeymoon. The hotel was well located for catching the bus or ferry, but doesn’t have a train station. Unfortunately the cost of transfers offered by the hotel to book were extortionate (400€ approx to Pisa Airport - a 1 hr 15 min journey). The ferry was running hourly until early evening during our stay, and we enjoyed seeing Cinque Terre from the sea. However, the trains between the villages are much quicker to use - it takes nearly 1.5hrs to get from Portovenere to Monterosso by ferry. The staff at the hotel were very friendly, and the room was comfortable and clean. We had booked a room with a sea view, which was lovely. Although not necessarily expected, it was surprising that for a 5 star hotel, we weren’t provided with any extras for this being part of our honeymoon - the only hotel during our trip around Italy to not do so. The additional bottles of water provided each evening were appreciated. We did eat at the restaurant one night, which was a bit underwhelming, and we would recommend Porto 82 a few minutes walk away instead. However the view from the restaurant if you manage to get a table on the terrace is beautiful. We had breakfast on the terrace in the mornings, and it was the best we had during our Italy trip, particularly the freshly made to order eggs.

Everyone was so nice and helpful. We enjoyed our trip and Portovenere is one the most beautiful places to visit. We loved staying at the Grand Hotel and would happily visit again

Great hotel overlooking a beautiful village. Short walk to shopping and restaurants. Staff efficient and super friendly. Close to 5terra by boat.

Estes comentários devem se ao facto de ser um hotel de 5 estrelas e pago como tal Assim sendo: Pequeno almoço simples , pobre e pouco diversificado, sendo que as panquecas e sumos naturais se pagavam a parte Absoluta intransigência com o bufete de pequeno almoço com recolha de tudo até as 10:30, sem alargamento de horário ao fim de semana Não existe água no quarto, quando questionei mandaram me ir ao bar e pagar pela água… não explicaram que mais tarde iria alguém deixar água no quarto Melhoria do serviço que quartos - Deixavam pijamas por dobrar e amontoados nas cadeiras Não abrem as camas também seria simpático deixar um mimo aos hóspedes no quarto ( fruta por ex?) Sem cafeteira eléctrica no quarto Máquina de café não está ligada a eletricidade Áreas comuns exíguas principalmente quando está mau tempo Sem piscina No meu caso acrescentaram 35 de consumos no bar do quarto que estavam errados - situação retificada no momento do check out Restaurante do hotel caro para a qualidade da cozinha

I stayed at Hotel Porto Venere and the experience was simply perfect. The location is unbeatable, with a breathtaking view of the sea and the harbor. The property is beautifully maintained, elegant, and welcoming. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were extremely kind, professional, and always helpful their warm hospitality truly made a difference. The breakfast was rich, varied, and of excellent quality, served on a terrace with a postcard-perfect view. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to enjoy a truly charming experience in Porto Venere. I would return without hesitation!

La vue est imprenable, demandez les chambres en coin vous ne le regretterez pas. Tout est au top. Le personnel au petit soin. Je le recommande vivement.

Posizione e vista strepitosi. Pulizia molto buona e ristorante Palmaria di ottimo livello con attenzione ai celiaci, molto preparati al riguardo. Personale preparato, efficiente e molto disponibile.

L'emplacement et la vue étaient superbes et le personnel extrêmement sympathique et serviable.

La taille des chambres et leur décoration extrêmement médiocre ne correspondent pas au prix de cet établissement. De plus, les chiens sont admis, ce qui a entraîné des aboiements pendant la nuit.

Fantastically polite and helpful reception staff. They quickly get involved and resolve any request. The location of the hotel and the view from the window are TOP. The breakfast is quite acceptable.

This is such a lovely property. The staff is exceptional- to a person, each staff member was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Rooms aren’t huge but enough room and comfortable. Modern and updated. Restaurant was great. Venus Bar/Palmaria patio has an incredible view. Gym is on smaller side but we were able to get a workout in. I don’t know why this town gets overshadowed by Cinque Terre towns and other coastal resorts. It is so beautiful.

My daughter treated us to a night here. Hotel was lovely, but disappointed with the desk service. I'm not sure if it was a language barrier or just ineffective communication. They suggested we take the ferry to the next Island to attend the beach club. No mention that they called ahead and we were entitled to beach towels. We were informed about the towels when we returned. Towels cost 15eu. each. We found a bottle of wine in our room. The note said, "Welcome to the hotel." We didn't touch it because we thought it was part of the mini bar. We then found out my daughter sent it to us for our anniversary but no mention of her sending it. How does a hotel not include a note that this was from a person not them. We found out late in the evening, never drank any of it and could not take it on the plane with us. We needed our room keys rekeyed several times. (No they were not near credit cards nor phones.) This would not have been a big deal, but with the other two issues it made this stay unpleasant even though the hotel was lovely.

Todo, excelente en todo, el personal es lo mejor que tienen, son muy amables, educados y afectuosos.
