Ein kleiner Minuspunkt ist der etwas schiefe Boden in unserem Zimmer gewesen. Vom Bett ins Badezimmer zu gehen fühlte sich an, als wäre man auf einem Schiff und müsste die Schwankungen ausgleichen. Anders kann ich es nicht beschreiben.

S'il faut vraiment écrire quelque chose, nous dirions, manque la climatisation, sachant que ce ne doit pas être possible de modifier cet état de fait dans cet hôtel, mais nous sommes arrivés à une période où nous avons pu nous en passer.

Parkeren in de Altstadt is alleen mogelijk in dure parkeergarages. Opladen van EV kan uitsluitend daar, tegen hoge tarieven!

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Die Lage des Hotels direkt gegenüber der alten Brücke ist unschlagbar. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer, dass zum Innenhof gelegen war, der allerdings ziemlich schmuddelig aussieht, war sehr geräumig und liebevoll möbliert. Alles war sehr sauber und die Betten waren bequem. Das Business-Frühstück war für den Preis in Ordnung.
Wir hatten das Pech, dass es bei unserem Besuch in Heidelberg extrem heiß war. Das Zimmer verfügte nicht über eine Klimaanlage und heizte sich stark auf. Es gab allerdings zwei starke Ventilatoren, die Abhilfe schaffen konnten. Die Oberbetten waren für die Jahreszeit zu schwer und zu warm.

Das Einzelzimmer hatte einen Balkon mit direktem Brückenblick und war mit Kühlschrank und Safe sehr gut ausgestattet. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ab dem 2. Kontakt wird man mit dem Namen angesprochen und sogar die Zimmernummer wurde sich gemerkt.
Das ich nur 3 Nächte Zeit hatte ...

Нет климатизации. Вентилятор это был наш кондиционер в жару 40+°С. На завтраке были открыты окна, соответственно летали мухи и садились на все продукты, что лежали на шведской столу.

We arrived before check-in time after a long haul flight and the helpful young lady on the reception desk got us into our room immediately and even gave us an upgrade. It is a fabulous old hotel and the breakfast was second to none! We’ll be back!

Staff were very friendly an helpful, particularly as one of us had some eating restrictions, and they were very accommodating with the breakfast option

If you drive, the parking overnight is a bit far. In front of the hotel is hot spot for photos so it's very crowded with cars and people.

Reviewed May 24, 2026Breakfast was first rate. The room was clean and fairly comfortable. The location was excellent...literally right beside the bridge.
If you're driving into Heidelberg, as we were, parking is a bit complicated. Unloading your car requires the staff to unlock a chain in front of the hotel and squeeze your car into an unloading area. Since the hotel does not have its own parking, you must park your car in a city parking lot. The hotel did give us a discount coupon for this and that was nice of them to do that. The biggest problem we had with the hotel was that the AC had not yet been turned on and so the room was warm. To ameliorate this we had to open the windows, but when we did that the street noise was very loud. It stayed this way until around 2am when the bars finally closed. Also, there is limited ice available.

Blackout curtains could have been better, and the mattresses were a bit stiff. Otherwise was nice!

The staff there were all super friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself was a beautiful example of old style charm. It has an interesting history which added to its atmosphere.

Reviewed Apr 25, 2026I don't think you could find a more convenient location to stay whilst exploring Heidelberg. It is right across from the Old Bridge and close to restaurants and cafes. I also appreciated that they had an elevator.
I am an early riser and would love to have had a kettle in the room for making tea or coffee.

Reviewed Apr 11, 2026Es ist gemütlich eingerichtet, sehr sauber . Das Personal unheimlich freundlich. Der Ausblick ist traumhaft schön, wie eine Kulisse. Man ist mitten in der Altstadt,viele tolle Restaurants in der Nähe, ganz nah zum Schloss. Alles super zu Fuß zu erreichen.
Das gilt nur für mich , die Matratze war viel zu weich ( chronische Rückenschmerzen). Mein Kind dagegen hat dies nicht gestört.
