The room was excellent. Nice view of the trees. Nice old fashioned atmosphere
The food in the restaurant was expensive and not up to the standards of what I expected. The bar with whiskey was a rip off.
hotel warm and friendly
evening dinner menu too rich
Clean / company / friends
Warm
You tell back in the day it would have been a grand hotel, our room looked like it had a recent spruce up. It was clean, comfortable, carpet and bathroom looked new. For an overnight stay it did the job
Nothing springs to mind

The staff was amazing, especially Jess, all went above to be helpful and accommodating. The food was delicious, the free laundry availabllity so appreciated, and to top it off you provide wash cloths!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💜
Can’t think of a thing
The perfect highland stay. The whole team at Grant Arms could not have been more attentive.
Nothing at all.
Diner en bar. Medewerkers. Whiskey proeverij. Lokatie.
Gehorige kamers. Ietwat gedateerd.
Perfect Location, beautiful surroundings and every member of the staff were friendly and helpful
Absolutely nothing
Comfortable. Lovely staff. Great location
lovely old building with character. staff very friendly. in the heart of the town.
no complaints.
Staff were friendly
One night no hot water, hotel's boiler was broken.
Localização hotel histórico e comida excelente
As janelas precisam de cortina black out
Location
Friendly reception staff
Not keen on buffet breakfasts!
Location very good, breakfast was also good
Beds uncomfortable, creaking floor boards above the room and noisy pipes. The bar areas had no atmosphere and the drinks options were limited
Mediocre
More continental options and hot breakfast made to order
Quaint, charming facility with old world feel.
No elevator so multiple twists and turns to get our bags to our room but front desk offered help without asking.
Excellent location. Nice old fashioned hotel with excellent staff
No hot water on one morning when boiler broke down, but fixed quickly.
Clean well set out room with great shower and bathroom,
Not much.
Lovely classic styled Scottish styled hotel with modern bathrooms. Wonderfully accommodating and friendly staff. A little gem of history. What’s there not to love! (Try the classic lift)
The area was nice and people were very friendly
When I arrived she ask me if she could help. I said I have a booking she said 2 minutes and booked the people from Germany in left me and my daughter standing with a new born baby. Then give us a room with a pram having to lift it up stairs, my daughter just had a c section and me having chronic pain I constantly had to climb 4 flight of stairs due to the lift being busy and very small. My dog being 13 also struggled. I went down asked for a cot as it wasn't in the room, she replied I don't have any at is point I was ready to give the key back and go home. Then she said leave with me, finely a lovely woman brought at cot got settled for the night. I wouldn't stay here again its not worth the money and its not suitable for prams and wheelchairs.
A very comfortable, clean and well run hotel
Buffy breakfast
The hotel was lovely and in a perfect location. Our room was great and it was spotlessly clean. Lovely big bathroom with beautiful hand soap, moisturiser and the softest, fluffiest towels. Breakfast was pricey but it was lovely and there was a huge choice of food, cereals etc.
It's so hard for hotels to survive these days and the staff work so hard and such long hours but there was only one minor little thing. We had to leave a day early as my husband wasn't well and when checking out, the receptionist didn't even ask why we were checking out early. Like I say, minor and it wouldn't stop me staying there again.
The hotel is lovely and grand in a historic highland way. Lots of space and the staff were so friendly, accommodating and super helpful.
I would stay here again but I’d look for it on offer as it was quite expensive.
Spacious rooms
Lots of stairs with suitcases Breakfast was reasonable but nothing wow, freshly made eggs would have been nicer and fresh bread
A very comfortable stay wit good staff snd excellent food.
Good location. Good Price. Good pub.
Nothing
It was all good location staff and the hotel it self we had no complaints 👌
Nothing all was good.
Clearly extensively refurbished, including furniture carpets and decor, with a comfortable bar which is well stocked. All staff without exception were cheerful and helpful. Rooms were cleaned and tidied daily and the whole building was spotlessly clean.
It wasn’t always possible to book a table in the restaurant due to staff shortages and the evening menu wasn’t very extensive however this was in contrast to the excellent breakfast which was both of good quality and good value fr money
Sehr freundliches Personal
grosszügige zimmer, bequeme betten und sehr nettes personal
Skønt, autentisk, klassisk hotel i Speyside. Godt udgangspunkt både for fugle-kiggeri og besøg i områdets fantastiske whisky destillerier.
Been several times and each time we experience the olde worlde atmosphere and surroundings The bedrooms comfortable and clean
Not sure about the old style lift
The breakfast was ok, but expensive.
From 6am there was engine noise which prevented further sleep. We should have been told that there was renovation work going on - then we might have been a bit more tolerant of noise from 8am
This is a classic Highland Hotel. Located in the heart of the town of Grantown on Spey. Has a good feel and staff are very friendly.
Right in centre of town with good parking available nearby lovely friendly staff and beautiful public areas.
Some rooms were a bit dated and could do with a refurbishment
Everything was amazing, friendly and professional staff... lovely food .. super comfortable room and the location.
That we weren't staying longer !!!
Staff were friendly and helpful, atmosphere in the hotel was warm and welcoming. Food was good and varied menus inthe bar and restaurant.
Ease of check-in. Very polite and helpful gentleman on desk. Room was immaculate and food for dinner and breakfast was excellent. All staff were polite and took time to chat to you and ask if anything they could do.
Not a thing.
Very good advice about whisky in the bar. The waiter was very nice and professional.
A fantastic stay at a beautiful hotel. Attentive and personable staff. We are already planning a return trip. Many thanks to all that made our stay so memorable.
The room itself was very good, spacious, comfy bed. En suite was cramped but water was hot and shower was good
Room was up lots of stairs in an annex and no lift. Breakfast was £15 but if you order from a menu it’s another £15. The order was skimpy not very tasty and not worth the money. There was nothing to say it was extra so beware.
Staff were very welcoming helpful and professional. Dinner menu was varied and very tasty.

Old world charm
The stay here was the best of our 3 week Scotland/England vacation. Starting with the welcome by the front desk staff, to riding in the 100+ year old Victorian elevator, and the beautiful room with a super comfortable bed and walk-in shower. The dinner in the dining room was delicious. Tea and biscuits in the lounge afterwards. Close free parking. It was everything we wanted. Plus a nice grocery store just across the street. Close to Loch Ness and other sites.
Weather was a little cold and grey, but hey - it's Scotland in May.
The quiet environment. The breakfasts were very good and well organised.
We were not happy with the dining room service on the first evening, so much so that we explored other options in the town and ended up eating at a restaurant in town the following night.
Charm- clean- amazingly friendly and helpful staff- location is amazing too

The atmosphere of the hotel and its location.
The evening meal was disappointing for one of us as the fish was dry and overcooked. The soup though, ordered as a starter was delicious.
The staff were helpful and friendly
The room was very dated. Single glazed windows meant people standing outside talking could be easily heard (above outdoor bar tables). Bathroom also dated. At the rate I paid at this standard of hotel,
All of the above
Poor internet connection
Nice building and good bar and restaurant rooms. Bedroom was a good size.
The mattress was soft and had probably seen better days.
Clean room and newly renovated bathroom, stylish. A very good restaurant and great hospitality. The house was impressively old 1762 but in very good shape.
I didn’t have any problems but my wife said she missed a softer mattress pad and found the bed a little bit hard.
Room was clean. It also had a guest laundry which was a major plus for us. The personnel were great and friendly. Would stay there again.
comfortable bed; good quality of beddings. Clean toilet and bath.
Ideally the curtains had a better blackout effect.
Location Modern room
Was a bit warm in the room but weather was very hot
The room was very comfortable and clean, the breakfast was very good, husband loves his cooked breakfast and I love my fruit, yogourt and granola and we enjoyed a simple but very good dinner
Clean comfortable. Geographically excellent
Access good staff helpful cleanliness as expected a breakfast menu would be useful
Niets
Dating back to 1765. A beautiful traditional Scottish hotel.
prachtig gerenoveerde badkamer en koffie- en theehoek.
traplopen, alternatief is oude antieke lift.
Great location, nice rooms.
Great location in Speyside and very nice looking, grand hotel.
Our second stay at this lovely Highland Hotel. All Staff are welcoming and so very helpful, friendly and observant, anticipating needs and offering timeous and approriate help. Spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable bedroom with adaptations to assist with mobility for one of us. Daily servicing of the bedroom to a high standard by friendly attentive staff. Attractive restaurant with lovely food and careful dietary adaptations (gluten free for us) by Chef and Servers. Attractive and comfortable lobby with daily papers and spacious and a comfortable bar for after dinner coffee and socialising. Lots of information is available on the local area, natural history and places of interest. A full programme of talks, walks and birdwatching is available from local expert leaders. The atmosphere is truly Highland at its best.
We couldn't stay longer!
L'accueil et le personnel
Old world charm. Friendly staff and a wonderful building in a great location
Nothing apart from my shaver socket not working. It might have been my shaver but will not know until I get home.
The Hotel is in a prime location, has an interesting history, is very spacious and relaxed, it feels comfortable and welcoming. The staff were always there when you needed them and were very polite and friendly. We had very nice breakfasts.
The rooms are a little bit tired and creaky but that is part of the charm of this old hotel
All well laid out with good options and choices
All was good and acceptable to a high standard, very quiet location with lots of historical and nature info.
The lovely spacious bar and dining room.
Nothing to dislike.
Very pleasant traditional hotel in a very pleasant town. Very helpful and friendly service. Extensive whisky list in the comfortable bar.
Nothing.
Alles was gewoon goed, een aanrader
Er was niets negatief te vinden
Bar staff were excellent
Everything else, we also got charged different prices for the same drinks on different days
The hotel staff were friendly and the breakfast was great.
Lovely and well organised hotel situated in the centre of Grantown on Spey, with parking directly outside. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Situated a short walk into the town centre where there is an array of small independent shops, including bookshop.
The coffee/tea station in the bar after dinner. A problem dealt with quickly.
Cold plates for hot food at breakfast. Would have liked bigger selection of fresh fruit at breakfast and more variety in bread/pastry products.
The room was excellent.
Not that we didn't like it, but the dinners were a bit variable in quality. We also felt it was a pity that the breakfast was rather inflexible - I like a continental breakfast, so I would have preferred a more economical alternative to the all or nothing full cooked breakfast.
