I loved its central location and the really helpful staff who responded promptly to my questions. Wolfgang in reception was particularly helpful. He explained where to park when we arrived and told us about the outstanding son et lumière at Chartres Cathedral. We enjoyed dinner at Le George, especially the soufflé and the wine pairing.

The breakfast room is very cramped. No Nespresso machine in the room.

We always try to stay at the hotel. Usually 3-4 times a year. The staff are quite exceptional and most speak good English. We like the bar and the location is very good.

Our stay at the hotel was truly regal. This is one of those rare places where the occasional minor inconvenience feels more like the charming patina of a distinguished hotel than a genuine shortcoming. Special thanks must go to the exceptionally attentive staff, both at reception and during breakfast, whose warmth and professionalism made our stay all the more enjoyable.

The bedrooms were lovely and the breakfast was very good. The staff were terrific.

Die Lage des Hotels am Rand der Innenstadt ist perfekt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Valet Parken funktioniert perfekt. Am nächsten Morgen findet man sein Auto auf dem abgeschlossenen Hotel Parkplatz ca 150 Meter entfernt. Das Zimmer ist ausreichend groß und die Betten sind sehr bequem. Badezimmer, Dusche, Toilette sind geräumig. Alles ist sauber. Die Dekoration ist „klassisch“ und geschmackvoll. Das Frühstücksbuffet erfüllt nahezu alle Wünsche. Es wird in einem überdachten Innenhof serviert. Sehr schön.

Der Weg zum Zimmer geht zick zack über enge und verwinkelte Flure. Unser Zimmer war extrem hellhörig. Aus dem Nachbarzimmer hat man nahezu jedes Wort verstanden. Die individuelle Klimaanlage schafft es kaum das Zimmer auf erträgliche Temperatur zu kühlen. Das Bad / Toilette war aufgeheizt wie ein Backofen.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, die Zimmer groß und mit Wasser und Kaffee ausgestattet. Das Hotel liegt so zentral, so dass Ort und Kathedrale fußläufig erreichbar waren.

Wir sind als Familie gereist und hatten eine Familien Suite. Das Zimmer ist groß und recht schön (obgleich nicht so hochwertig wie die Bilder vermuten lassen). Jedoch ist die Schlafcouch sehr klein, hart, quietschend und nur für wirklich kleine Kinder geeignet. Das Parken ist etwas umständlich, das Auto früh morgens zu holen gestaltete sich als erstaunlich kompliziert. Dass der auf den Fotos abgebildete Pool gar kein Pool sonder ein "Relax-Becken" für den Spa-Bereich ist und dass dort nur Menschen ab 16 mit vorheriger Reservierung rein dürfen, war uns nicht klar und enttäuschend.

Tout, absolument tout! Je n'imaginais même pas qu'un établissement de cette qualité existait encore! Tout y a été parfait, de l'accueil du directeur, Monsieur Paul DEPREUX, particulièrement remarquable, à l'ensemble des membres du personnel. Tout le monde a été dévoué à notre bonheur. Mention spéciale pour Monsieur Frédéric! L'établissement est littéralement royal. Tout y est de bon goût. Notre chambre était parfaite, le restaurant d'une qualité irréprochable. Le service... Ahhhh! Le service: absolument délicieux de bout en bout. Délicat, fin... Bref, remarquable! Mille mercis pour ce (trop) bref séjour!

Room extremely small - Bed linen had a severe hole in them, very visible (I have picture of that if proof required) - Hotel parking not exactly next to the building - the shower glass door was not the right fit so the water spilled all over the tiny bathroom and it is really unavoidable - Room not very sound proof (room 205), you can easily hear (nearly feel) the person walking one level above the bedroom.

Sehr gute Mitarbeiter im Hotel. Gutes Englisch. Man musste sich nicht mit eigenem Schulfranzösisch durchkämpfen. Super Parkservice mit EUR 15,-- pro Nacht relativ günstig. Charmante Ausstattung und sehr gutes Frühstück.

Sauna / Schwimmbad mit Aufpreis von EUR 22 pro Person/ Tag ungewöhnlich hoch und wurde erst bei Rechnungsstellung konkret kommuniziert. Wir haben es bezahlt um den ansonsten schönen Aufenthalt nicht zu vergiften. Bei so einem Zusatzpreis müsste man aber zumindest vernünftige Sauna-Handtücher bekommen und der Indoor-Pool erschien einen Filtrations-Service/Wasserservice zu benötigen. Das kalte Abklingbecken war deutlich zu warm. Atlantik Ocean Dusche defekt.

We came to the hotel, it was a very hot day. In our room category we had a climate device, which has worked only moderatly - room temperature arround 26 degrees. That was to hot for me and my wife and I went to the reception to change the room. The staff was very solution - oriented and gave us a cooled Suite without any additional costs. Thank you very much ! We will never forget that - so we had a very pleasant stay.

The hotel is delightfully located with a valet service that was greatly appreciated after a long journey. All staff delivered excellent customer service from check in through to dinner service. The food was impeccable - we enjoyed every moment of our dinner. Gives Ritz vibes. We'd stay here again if we are ever passing through.

Le bruit, les portes des autres chambres claquent, nous les avons entendues toute la nuit. Très mauvaise insonorisation. Canape lit pour les enfants de mauvaise qualité.

Sa situation

Superbe établissement parfaitement situé à Chartres, à deux pas du centre ville et de la cathédrale. Le cachet « Vieille France » de l’établissement se marie très bien avec la modernité et le confort de ses équipements avec des chambres spacieuses, une literie très confortable et une belle salle de bain le tout dans une propreté impeccable. Le restaurant situé sous la verrière est magnifique et offre une cuisine raffinée et locale dans un cadre superbe. Le spa est très agréable et lumineux avec de nombreux sièges et transats. Le petit-déjeuner quant à lui est copieux et très bon. Le personnel de l’établissement, que ce soit à la réception ou au restaurant est très pro et serviable. C’est l’adresse incontournable pour un passage réussi dans cette belle ville!

Gut gelegenes Hotel direkt am Beginn der Fußgängerzone von Chartres. Freundlicher Empfang - das Auto wird von einem Valet übernommen! Geräumiges, ruhiges Zimmer mit Klimaanlage und Blick zum Innenhof. Das hoch gelobte Restaurant haben wir nicht getestet.

Beim Frühstück leider nur wenig ansprechende kleine Auswahl von Schinken und Käse. Die Butter war ranzig und die Kühlvitrine sollte dringed gesäubert werden, insbesondere die Schienen der Türe!

מלון יפה ונעים חדר מעוצב ונקי, צוות חביב מאוד. כשהגענו לקחו את הרכב לחניון וזה היה מאוד נוח. ארוחת בוקר טובה. ברברי במקום נעים ואוכל טעים. קרוב לקתדרלה היפה שמוארת בהופעה אור קולית מרשימה.

Pas de climatisation (sauf dans les chambres). Peut-être à cause de la canicule... ; Chambre à l'autre bout du GRAND couloir, alors que mes parents ont plus de 90 ans et ont une canne tous les deux. Une chambre plus loin de l'ascenseur : il n'y en avait pas.... comme si cela avait été fait expres... !!! beaucoup de complications : impossible de diner au bar, impossible de laisser la voiture 3 heures de plus etc.

Un magnifique hôtel historique situé en plein centre ville. Un parking avec voiturier pour se garer, un personnel très agréable, une chambre calme et très bien finie avec un literie de qualité ! Mais aussi: un spa complet avec piscine, bains à remous, hammam et sauna et enfin un petit-déjeuner des qualité avec des produits frais et locaux !

Kamer 200b, heel fijn en erg groot bed, lag perfect! Riante kamer met leuk zitje en fijne hoeken. Badkamer is groot met losse douchecabine en ligbad. Lekkere verzorgingsproducten. Fles water met koekje erbij stond klaar. En er lag een waaier klaar wat echt heel fijn was omdat we midden in een hittegolf zaten. Airco aanwezig en erg stil en kon de hele nacht aanblijven. Vales parking was goed geregeld, iets verderop. Wel lastig om even uit te laden voor de deur maar de mdw die parkeert helpt ook met de koffers. Top! Hotel ligt op loopafstand van het centrum.

Ontbijt was erg goed en uitgebreid. Veel lekkere Franse kazen en ook cake achtige dingen. Eitjes kun je zelf koken. Lekkere bio yoghurt. Enige dat we misten waren plakjes kaas 🫣

Nous n'avons pas pu aller au Hammam; par contre, la salle de sport était très propre.

On voulait le garage car c'était indiqué qu'il y avait place de parking interne mais une fois qu'on a réservé, il n'y avait plus de place. On a dû payer en plus, un parking public. On n'a pas pu manger au restaurant de l'hotel car il fallait réserver au minimum un mois à l'avance.

Le bruit des pas et des meubles quand le voisin du dessus est irrespectueux

This lovely historic hotel is in a great location in the centre of Chartres and a short walk from the Cathedral and restaurants. Our large room (105) was beautifully decorated with many references to its historic past. We used the valet parking which we really appreciated.

Just one niggle. There was no shaving socket in the bathroom and not enough easily accessible sockets for charging all our modern devices.

Gorgeous building, well located. Offered parking, which was very helpful for central location.

We arrived late due to road closures in the area and the overnight staff member did not know where the car park was or how to get into it. We spent an hour on top of our late arrival trying to get the car parked in the car park we were paying 15 euros to stay in. We also did not like that you had to pay €20 for use of spa - we just wanted a quick swim but did not want to pay a further €20 each for the privilege.

Great location for walking to the Cathedral. The valet parked my car, such a relief rather than trying to find a private car park and having to walk back. Touches of old world glamour. Excellent restaurant - we had one of the best meals we’ve had for a long time.

Breakfast buffet: My cup was dirty: I asked for a clean one and when I got it, no apology or smile or comment, the surly woman just gave it in my hand like it was my fault. Slow turnaround of food (no croissants and a spoonful of dry scrambled egg only while we were sitting, for 1/2 hour). There is valet parking but they take the car somewhere far. Took >1/2 hour to get it back after checkout. You can only wait 5 mins in front of the hotel. The shower drain was very slow and apparently caused a dripping problem below our room!

Je reviens en cet établissement pour la troisième fois et y retrouve toujours la même ambiance: hôtellerie de qualité qui reflète la tradition française. Décoration raffinée, liens avec l'Ancien Régime... loin se la vulgarité ambiante. Les lieux ont été intelligemment, juste ce qu'il faut, adaptés à notre époque. C'est merveilleux!!!
