Le lieu était magique, avec le charme italien que j'adore et une vue sublime et des couchés de soleil à couper le souffle. Le personnel à été très adorable pour rendre mon week-end d'anniversaire innoubliable.

Un poil compliqué d'accès sans voiture car les bus ne s'arrêtent pas trop, se fait à pied en 15/20 min en fonction de si on est en descente ou en montée.

The stay was great. The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice sea view, and it was cleaned regularly throughout our stay. The staff were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was overall good, especially the fresh pastries and cakes. The hotel is within walking distance of the city center, and the port is a bit further, but that was fine for us. The location is quiet and has a nice countryside feel, away from traffic and crowds. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back.

There aren’t any shops or supermarkets close to the hotel, so there is nowhere nearby to buy food or even basic things like drinking water. To get to the city center, you need to walk down/up some stairs. This was especially inconvenient because there is no complimentary drinking water in the room. After a long day out in 30°C heat, we found that the only water available at the hotel was for an extra charge, so we had to make sure to bring bottles of water back with us every day. The breakfast selection of hot food is quite limited, with only scrambled eggs. The eggs were a bit liquid. If we arrived after 08:30, they were sometimes already finished. We planned around these things and managed just fine, so overall they didn’t significantly affect our stay.

Hotel La Badia is charmingly classic. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The view is spectacular. The pool was idealic, surrounded by lush plants and flowers. Sunbeds always available. Accomodation was exceptionally clean and elegant. Loved this hotel.

Breakfast options for hot food could be improved. Slight issue with buses from town up to the hotel. If the local bus doesn't stop to pick you up, you are left with the option of waiting an hour, paying 35 euros for taxi or walking it, if you are able to walk up hill.

This property is 10/10. The venue and views of Sorrento spectacular. The staff so helpful. I felt I was home away from home. An easy walk into town and pick up transport to the door for external activities. I will definitely book this property again and thank the kind staff for all their advise and help.

Nothing about the hotel, walk back from town in searing heat was a struggle and would have been good to maybe have a shuttle bus at set times of the day back from town,

Great staff and nice atmosphere

The hotel was amazing, really authentic Italian experience with a beautiful view, swimming pool area and gardens. The rooms were spacious and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. They gave us a list of restaurants with free shuttle which really helped when we didn’t want to do the walk into Sorrento on a hot day

There was nothing not to like and we’d stay again. The only thing that could make it a 10/10 was a shuttle bus to and from Sorrento. Walking into Sorrento downhill was fine, but the way back up would be difficult for someone less able than, us especially in the heat and the buses were unreliable and taxis expensive. Even if it went to a few hotels on the hill with a small charge we’d 100% use it

The breakfast is honestly comprehensive with the relevant basics to get your day started, with additional Italian pastries etc. it covers just enough although not extensive as far as choice its enough for you to leave the hotel with a full stomach to start your day

The Pool is nice and warm with a decent size and was quite during the time we used it treelined which covers the pool area for a relaxation.

Room view was excellent. However, it was noisy from internal foot traffic and people talking late in the night. (Not the hotels fault but a notice could be displayed somewhere) The hotel happily put together a breakfast to take away as we had to leave early for a trip. This was really good.

Breakfast was okay, however, it was bizarre that you couldn't have the warm option (scrambled eggs for example) until after 8am. Breakfast is served from 7am, so I would expect the chef to be available from then. The hotel could run a shuttle service, from collection from and return to the train station. And to and from town in between certain hours. This can be for a small additional charge.

The property was beautiful, spotlessly clean with beautiful views. The pool area was lovely with lots of seating and the pool is bigger than the pictures suggest. The view from the terraces was stunning. It is an old building and therefore it is beautiful and pretty. The staff are unbelievable!! I have never met a team who are so helpful and I have stayed lots of places. They cannot do enough, before and during your stay. From arranging transfers, information on the area and ordering pizzas for us. One member of staff knowing we had waited a while for a bus and decided to come back and walk even popped out and gave us a lift down. The staff are so lovely and accommodating I genuinely cannot praise them enough. Also considering it is a hotel the food and drink prices were good but they also helped you order in pizzas.

So there is nothing I dislike about the property but there is a bit of pre planning to think of. The property doesnt provide shuttles to the town and the short cut whilst short in distance so not an issue in terms of length of walk it is steep and uneven so whilst I wouldnt let you put it off the property as it is exceptional just consider the walk when packaging your shoes.

The location and view, fantastic. The hotel is located slighty out of town, great if you like a quiet evening but not too far that you cant experience the nightlife with a short walk or taxi home later. The staff were very friendly, helped to get us restaurant bookings and arranged free shuttle services to and from. They offer tours and the hotel will sort out shuttle pick up and drop off for those too. Everything about Sorrento is made to make guests lives as easy as possible and this hotel does this perfectly. The breakfast is fine if you dont mind a continental style, the pool is nice and clean, the bar is great and again the views from the terrace are great, they make a nice spritz, the lunch menu is also quite extensive and the food is nice. I expected a 3 star hotel, everything was above that, the views are 5 star, the staff are 5 star, just dont expect them to make your requested cocktail at the bar or the chef to make you a random thing they dont have on the menu.

There is not much to dislke about Hotel La Badia, my partner and I really enjoyed our stay the only downside I would say would be that someone much older and much less fit than myself and my wife may struggle with the short hike down to Sorrento town, it is steep and on uneven cobble streets, perhaps not a suitable place to take your 80 year old parents or grandparents unless you want to taxi everywhere. Other than that a beautiful hotel with great rooms, great views and great staff.

O hotel é maravilhoso. Lugar lindo, vista do café da manhã do mar de tirar o fôlego, e o café é muito bom!!! Piscina no verão uma delícia. Atendentes muito atenciosos, deram ótimas dicas, nos ajudaram bastante. Foram dias maravilhosos.

Único ponto é que apesar de nao ser tao longe do centro (15 minutos andando), na volta tem muita subida, entao era bem cansativo voltar ao final do dia após jantar e tomar uns vinhos. E tambem dava cerca de 25 minutos andando até o porto para pegar ferry. Porém depois descobrimos ônibus por perto, apesar de poucas opções, nos ajudaram. Mas isso não foi um grande problema, só um alerta para quem prefere prezar uma localização mais facil/acessível.

This is such a beautiful hotel. It’s is set in lovely grounds with lots of sitting areas and hammocks. The pool is well looked after and was a really nice temperature. The breakfast had a good choice and the view from the bar/dining area is stunning. The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I have to mention the walk into town although it really didn’t bother us. Yes, it is fairly steep and challenging in the heat but we still did it twice a day! It isn’t particularly well lit at night but I never felt unsafe. We actually walked back to the train station from our hotel in 36 degree heat, dragging 2 suitcases! So it can’t be that bad!!

The beautiful villa sits high above the Bay of Naples with the terrace and views from rooms overlooking Trieste and Mt Vesuvius and Sorrento, exquisite panorama! Lush olive trees surround the lively big pool and garden. Fantastic breakfast and all meals available in the terrazzo with super friendly and professional staff. We like to walk down the path to the city. It’s an uphill climb back, but great exercise! Great views too.

We like everything about La Badia!

The staff (especially at front desk) were incredibly kind and helpful. Breakfast was very nice. Bed was very comfortable and room was a nice size. View of the Bay of Naples is spectacular. The swimming pool is a real gem. Particularly when no children are there. The location, is both a plus and minus. It is quite removed from the center of town (up the hill about 1km) which makes it a bit of a challenge to reach, but it also means it is very peaceful and quiet. If you don't mind walking up and down the hill to reach the restaurants and shops, it's ideal.

The room (particularly the bathroom) was old fashioned. Renovation would make things feel more modern. The location was challenging.

We loved our stay at La Badia. Each request (packed lunches for an outing, booking taxis to the station, restaurant recommendations) were brilliantly handled and we felt very well looked after. The view from the terrace where we ate breakfast was wonderful and the pool was perfect too. A lovely hotel!

Le personnel de l'hôtel a été extraordinaire. Notre vol annulé, nous avons dû repenser totalement notre séjour. Nous avons réservé une chambre last minute pour notre lune de miel. L'hôtel nous a préparé une petite décoration spéciale, nous a organisé rapidement un transfert en taxi depuis l'aéroport (payant) et nous a préparé un petit repas alors que les cuisines étaient fermées. Ils ont clairement sauvé un début de voyage qui se promettait chaotique. Le lieu perché est extraordinaire. Il s'agit d'une ancienne abbaye avec deux terrasses (en-dehors des terrasses privées des chambres) qui permettent d'assister au coucher du soleil. Bien qu'éloigné du centre, un petit chemin permet de rejoindre Sorrento en 12 min à pieds. La nourriture est bonne et le petit déjeuner copieux. Mention spéciale à Marita.

L'établissement est un vrai coin de paradis. J'ai adoré y séjourner qq jours après une semaine de randonnée. Le personnel est très gentil, les chambres sont très propres et la piscine parfaite! J'ai aimé me détendre le soir dans le jardin, face au Vésuve.

Un petit peu difficile de venir en transport en commun quand on ne connait pas le pays et ses codes. Dommage qu'on ne puisse pas manger le soir également. Mais ce n'est pas très grave.

Beautiful place to stay in Sorrento. The hotel is in a quiet area but only a 15 minute walk to town. They gave us an upgraded room at no cost with a beautiful view. Breakfast was great too!

- La vue était incroyable avec vue sur la mer et le Vésuve que se soit pour déjeuner ou profiter de la terrasse. - La proximité avec le centre de Sorrento 10-15 min maximum à pied. - La piscine à température parfaite et les terrasses. - Le personnel était sympathique et parlais français. Et étais disponible 24/24 à la réception en cas de besoin. - Clim disponible dans la chambre étais très agréable. - Le petit déjeuner étais super bon et on y retrouvais énormément de choix. - Proche des moyens de locomotion, magasin, et divertissement.

- Pas assez d’espace de rangement dans l’armoire, et pour ranger sa valises. - Pas assez d’accroche dans la salle de bain pour faire sécher les essuies ou prendre c’est vêtements. - Le chemin pour y accéder est assez sportif.

Die Zimmereinrichtung könnte etwas neuer sein. Mal eine Mischung zwischen klassischen Möbeln, aber dann auch wieder Plastikblumen.

Sehr nettes Personal. Sehr schönes Hotel mit super Aussicht und einem kleinen aber feinem, sauberen Pool mit agenehm warmen Wasser zum entspannen.

Hotel piękny, pięknie położony, kameralny, z dużym, widokowym tarasem gdzie można zjeść śniadanie, skorzystać z baru lub zjeść lunch z dużym ogrodem i basenem. Nie ma problemu z parkingiem. Pyszne śniadania, obsługa zawsze uśmiechnięta i pomocna. Dodatkowy plus, że jedna z Pań na recepcji świetnie mówi po polsku. W pokojach wszystko czego potrzeba, wygodna łazienka i balkon z widokiem.

This hotel is in a great location, with easy access to downtown while also away from the noise of the street and city. The bed was very comfortable, pool was perfect and morning breakfast was delicious. Rooms were cleaned daily from very professional and kind staff members.

Lovely all round experience, the location of the hotel itself is fantastic, the grounds are pristine and extensive, with lots of leisurely options around for you to be able to relax. Staff are extraordinary. Marissa and others there are always on hand and are willing to help. Stayed with my partner over her birthday and they took steps in helping me sort out a couple surprises for her that I couldn’t have done without their help, and for that I am grateful! Staff are lovely, grounds are pristine, rooms are comfortable and location and proximity to the rest of Sorrento is just great- not much more one could ask for. Could not recommend enough! Thanks guys for helping make the holiday a great one!

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the view from our room was magnificent. Breakfast was delicious and varied. The pool area was clean and a lovely place to spend our afternoons.

The only downside was the fact that the hotel is up on the hill and the path back to the hotel is not very well lit at night, so it felt a little secluded.

The setting was beautiful overlooking the bay etc. The hotel rooms were spacious for a family run smaller charming hotel and it was immaculately kept with a lovely pool, hammocks in the gardens. The staff were welcoming , so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We had a wonderful time and can't recommend it enough. The walk to town is about 15 mins but coming back up takes a bit more effort!

We only had5 nights there and wouldhaveloved longer. There was nothing we didn't like.

The hotel is charming, set in amazing grounds that we didn't even discover until our second day - there are hammocks and peaceful places to sit in amongst the trees and bushes and flowers, so pretty. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is fabulous, deep all around, and surrounded with loungers and umbrellas. In July the water was pleasantly warm and it was great to have a dip after getting back from a hot and sticky day. The breakfast area is delightful, with a lovely view. Of course, the price for the view is that it's a fair way down into town, but if you are ok with walking there is a reasonably easy shortcut getting you into the centre of Sorrento in about 15 minutes. It's a bit less easy on the way back, but perfectly manageable if you are fairly fit. Our room was a good size, with comfortable beds, a good shower and a lovely little terrace with a table and chairs.

The hotel is a little dated, it could be described as 'granny chic', or maybe just Italian charm. But that fades into insignificance when balanced by all the positives.

Totalmente tranquilo, buena vista y piscina deliciosa, limpio, habitación cómoda, el personal muy amable y dispuesto siempre a ayudar, ofrecen los toures típicos de la zona con recogida en la puerta del hotel lo q hace más fácil conocerlos, es un poco retirado de sorrento pero para quien va en carro es perfecto y puede parquear sin costo, tiene buen desayuno y ofrecen restaurante para el almuerzo (hasta las 3 pm) en la noche no hay restaurante solo bar.

El sitio es lindo solo un poco antiguo y mejoraría las almohadas.

This hotel is an absolute gem. From the views, the charm and the staff you can’t go wrong here. I splurged for a balcony room and the views are unbeatable; worth every penny & still less expensive than many other hotels I researched in Sorrento. The walk into town is an easy 10-15 minutes & ended up being an enjoyable part of the stay because the views are beautiful. The dinner we ate at the hotel was very good. Would gladly stay here again.

Stayed here for 4 nights at the start of our holiday exploring the Amalfi coast and we were really pleased with our choice. An excellent base to do all the things we wanted in sorrento. We had two rooms as a family, both were clean with fresh towels every day. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times and the pool was fantastic. Breakfast was also included and was great. No complaints at all really other than the walk to sorrento isn’t for the faint hearted but we did this once, sometimes twice a day and is part and parcel of the Amalfi coast!! Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Das Personal war Spitze, gute Ortskenntnis, freundlich und professionell. Das Hotel bietet alles was man braucht, Essensmöglichkeit, Pool, Bar und Sitzmöglichkeiten rund um die Uhr. Die Lage ist ein zweischneidiges Schwert, einerseits ist sie abgelegen und nicht im Zentrum sondern etwas abgeschiedener im grünen, am Berg, was ein erreichen aufwendiger macht, etwa 15min (Bergab zu fuß zum Stadtzentrum), Bergauf mit Bus etwas länger aber grundsätzlich auch kein Problem. Mit dem Auto erreicht man die Unterkunft allerdings am komfortabelsten. Was sie allerdings auf der anderen Seite besonders attraktiv macht ist die beeindruckende Aussicht auf den Hafen und das Meer, diese lässt einen die mehr Gehminuten ins Zentrum schnell vergessen und in Bezug auf Ruhe hat die Lage sicherlich auch ihre Vorzüge. Zusammengefasst ist die Lage in Bezug auf die Erreichbarkeit weniger gut, allerdings birgt sie eine überragende Aussicht mit und bietet ein ruhiges Umland.

Grundsätzlich ist die Unterkunft wirklich empfehlenswert, allerdings gibt ein ein paar Punkte die eben Zeigen, dass es sich um kein 4 oder 5-Stern Hotel handelt. - Auswahl des Frühstücks - Auswahl der Barkarte - kleinere Mängel im Zimmer (schief sitzende Klobrille, leichte Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten bei Sauberkeit - allerdings auf hohem Niveau geurteilt, die Leistungsfähigkeit der Klimaanlage, etc.) - kein Hotel Shuttle

As the hotel is a little way from town, you will require a taxi to get there if you're not driving your self. Taxi costs are very high in Italy.

Everyone was very kind. Amazing views and location. Great breakfast. Absolutely would love to come back. The walk to downtown sorrento is about 10-15 min and it is steep coming back up but the hotel can help with guidance for taxis or the bus if a walk is difficult for visitors.

Very nice and extremely helpful staff all around. The house is really beautiful and the pool is a big asset. The breakfast was good (not spectacular, but different fruits, warm croissants, eggs,…). The bar (for lunch and evening drink - there is no dinner option) was great as well!

The uphill way is not well lit and I would not feel comfortable going there alone in the night (after dinner in the town) - but one can of course always take a taxi.

Una antigua abadía, con modernas instalaciones y la mejor mejor atención. Fue lo máximo! Atendida por la nieta de la dueña. Superó mis expectativas. Amé Sorrento por vivir en este lugar!

Great hotel with stunning views. It has the benefit of a beautiful pool and is only a short stroll into the centre of Sorrento. Breakfast is good with breathtaking views whilst you sip a coffee. Rooms have everything you need. Would gladly return and maybe get a room with a balcony next time.

Nothing to dislike the walk back from the centre would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues but we found it fine.
