Great location walkable to sights and restaurants, friendly and helpful staff at check in. Very clean room with nicely renovated bathroom and complimentary coffee machine. Only negative was the room was quite small, down a narrow passage and only had windows looking out on an interior stairwell and a ventilation shaft. Still a good value for the money considering the generous and tasty breakfast buffet was included in the price.

Property is in an excellent location close to restaurants and attractions. Nice and spacious with a full tub. Not a fan of the 1/2 shower door where water inevitably spills onto the floor... although seems to be the way with most hotels. AC was excellent and also appreciated the ability to open the window. Unfortunately even with a request to the hotel to review, Wifi wasn't good for most of the stay. Overall a very nice and pleasant stay.

Being inside the palace walls is an incredible experience. Parking is a little rough as the underground parking was far from the hotel. Cobblestone roads are not easy to roll your bags. But we loved our stay there.

Perfect location. Room is small but the windows from our room overlooked the square. Beds were not the most comfortable. Staff was excellent. Many stairs, there is a small lift but mornings waiting can be a challenge

Hard to find and figure out parking. NO air conditioning! Front desk told us to open the windows, but people talking, smoking etc... made that impossible. If you are not going to turn on the AC, don't advertise it!

Our first time in Avignon was a delight! Staying at Kyriad Avignon Palais Des Papes was convenient and accessible to all the walled city had to offer. We want to come back!

The hotel's main selling point is its location, so central to everything you might need or want to visit. The staff were nice and helpful. Room was basic but for the price given the properties location it is good value for money. My only complaint would be the 20 euro charge for accessing the room one hour early.

I liked that the hotel was right in the center of things, easily walkable to everything. My only complaint is that my room smelled. It was hard to keep the window open, especially at night, because of mosquitos, so I felt as if I were suffocating. The smell was chemical and musky, very disturbing as if I was being asphyxiated. Otherwise, the staff were helpful and friendly and all was well!

The Kyriad is situated in an excellent location. It's a short walk to the Palais des Papes and the excellent Petit Palais museum, and surrounded by places to eat, drink shop and people-watch.

A really clean and comfortable small room right in the middle of a lively square with lots of nice places and spaces to enjoy a drink, a meal, or an ice cream….just steps away from the Palais des Papes.

Rooms are small but the hotel is lovely and in a great location. Employees were very helpful.

The front desk clerk who greeted us (Sorry I can't remember her name) was amazing and pleasant. Very helpful. When you return to the hotel, if after 10 p.m. , you must enter a code to gain entry. We did not realize this and rang the bell. The lady who came to let us in seemed quite perturbed that we had bothered her. Great location and great hotel, just don't disturb the night manager!!

Location was great, very close to the old town. The only thing is that we thought the property comes with parking as it shown in the picture, but after we spend 5 minutes drive into the town and arrived at the hotel, we were told that only available parking was the underground parking palais des papes which the entrances is another 5 minutes driving outside the town. Good thing is that the hotel offers discount and we left our luggage at the front desk while we went for parking. Other than that I was very satisfied by the room condition, it’s very clean and has everything we needed,nexceed my expectation for a 2 star hotel.

The hotel is dishonest and cheats it's customers. It's air conditioning broke down but they did not inform me beforehand or even when I was checking in. I only found out after got to the room. I checked out immediately after asking for a refund. I was told to ask Expedia. To date, neither the hotel nor Expedia has agreed to give me a refund despite failing to provide for air conditioning as promised (it was warm as the sun cooks up the room in the day). I did not even stay past an hour and the hotel has eaten up my money for three days worth! If they had informed me beforehand that the aircon was down, I could have cancelled for free. The hotel is now lying hat they turned down the aircon to comply with some energy saving nonsense rule. They are also deleting my posts. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS DISHONEST BUSINESS UNLESS YOU WANT TO END UP LIKE ME! Wish me luck in getting my money back!

Much to my surprise this hotel is a great option if you are staying in Avignon and want to be in the center of the city. Just don't eat at any of the touristy restaurants, there are lots of great places in Avignon and the hotel can give you "Bonne Address". Staff is very nice, place is very clean and the breakfast was good for the price. overall great value

Overall the hotel was situated in the heart of Avignon. The room was very spacious and clean. The staff was extremely helpful. It would have been nice if my hotel room would have had some more natural light because it was facing a small courtyard.

Brilliant situation. Wonderful reception staff. Double glazed windows keep the outside noise out. Walks of the rooms however don’t do the same and we had very noisy neighbors from midnight to 1.30 am clonking around.

This hotel is not particularly impressive from the outside but once one enters the small interior, the warmth of the staff and cleanliness of the facilities forces a recalibration of the first impression. Our room was quite small but who goes to Avignon to stay in a hotel room? The location puts all the major tourist and cultural attractions within a few minutes walk yet “noise” was never a problem. Staff uniformly went well beyond what was needed. The savings on the room price allowed us to splurge on a fancier meal and other experiences. We’d certainly return.

Fabulous location! Walk straight out of train station for about 15 min & on the main square. Staff were very nice. Room was spotless! Bathroom was Perfect! All was newly renovated(?) I would stay again! Only negative: no lobby if you want to lounge. They DO have a luggage hold room & a breakfast room with terrace off of it. We stayed 1 nt but could be good for 3 nts as well. We have stayed at the mercure right past here next to the popes’ palace for 3 nts a few years ago & this was better!!

The room though small is functional. Lightings can be improved. All the staff at the reception are friendly, courteous and efficient. Breakast is good for a small hotel. Location is excellent.

We enjoyed the hotel and being on the main plaza of the old town. The hotel itself was located conveniently to loads of museums and churches and the like. The hotel’s breakfast was a little underwhelming generally speaking - no real protein / meat options except bacon, coffee machine could have used some instructions on how to use it. Tried 3 ways the first morning before figuring it out, mostly because I hadn’t seen coffee pods like that before. Hotel bathroom was nice, bed was comfortable. Clean all the way around. The big issue was that we travelled in January. We only stayed 2 of our 4 scheduled nights, moving to Paris 2 days early. So much of the city and museums and churches was just closed or had limited accessibility, probably because we were traveling out of season. I don’t blame anyone or anything for this, it just made it hard. Also, it was excessively windy in Avignon - none of the research we did beforehand indicated that the Mistral - the north wind - was so rough. We had one day that was 45F / 7C but with 24mph winds. It was NOT fun. The next day was similar temp but 18mph winds and it was better but not by a whole lot.

Great location. Room was fine. Housekeeping came very late but I think they are understaffed. Wish they used real eggs instead of nasty powdered ones at breakfast.

Very nice hotel with elevator. Breakfast was good. Yummy pastries. Was hard to get in for late checkin. Attendant was probably on break. Can’t get in door to reception unless someone is at desk. I was given a room without a view, actually facing a wall. The room was quite small. And there was no water available in thew room that was free and there was no amenity to have free access to drinkable water in the hotel

Absolutely as advertised. The Palais Des Papes is the main attraction and Kyriad is right next door. Pleasant, charming small hotel, small room but totally adequate. Good restaurants right in front. Would stay again. Convenient safe parking at Mecure Centre in front of Palais. Closely follow your GPS to find.

The hotel is in a fabulous location with many restaurants and stores nearby. It is close to the historic sites. The room although small is nicely laid out with all the convenience you are looking for. The staff is very friendly and overall the hotel is a very good value. The only negative is the parking is off site paid parking and a distance away which made bringing the luggage a problem. For a one night stay we paid an additional $14 euros to park and had to make two trips from the garage to bring our luggage across a rocky road. Absent that it was an excellent stay.

When we checked in to the room there was a terrible sewerage like smell in the bathroom, we hoped just from the previous occupants and that it would go away. It did not. The smell was so bad and overwhelming it was pretty unpleasant to use the bathroom at all and also had spread to the room itself so made the overall stay quite revolting. Very disappointing that hotel staff let guests occupy this room when there was clearly something wrong with the bathroom - either the drains or the toilet required an extensive clean. The smell was constant the entire stay which we ended up leaving early (left after 2 nights instead of 3). The bathroom walls were also very dirty with brown splatters and the shower was not fully screened so the bathroom floor would get covered in water. Only provided a very small bath mat, and no extra towels to dry the floor either. The room was very noisy - located just behind the breakfast room and hotel laundry so lots of banging, slamming doors and noise. Also the hotel uses a noisy doorbell for after hours entry which we could hear from our room - why not give guests a key to the front door or use a code system so that guests aren’t disturbed! Overall this was a terrible stay and the disgusting smell resulted in us checking out early. Would not recommend!

Good location Poor communication at check in. We bad a double bed room and they stuck a opened cot in the room as they didn't have space to put it. Our room became their storage locker. They did not remove the bed when we requested it. Told us we have to wait till there is space i another room.

Kyriad Avignon Palais des Papes is prime location! Looks out directly on the central square. The staff were AMAZING! Super friendly and helpful! My friend became ill on Christmas day and the person at the front desk took the time to find for me a pharmacy that was open so that I could get some medicine. My second Christmas at this hotel and I love it!

The location was great and the room was clean and big.

The hotel has thought to everything to make their guests super-comfortable with Grohe toilet & sink, small fridge in room, free H20 bottle everyday, coffee/tea service in room, comfy bed. My advice to future guests, ask front desk on reservation and every morning to have housekeeping close curtain and leave your air conditioning settings untouched if you get #54 because it's like a sauna when you come in in the evening if these are not done. You can use this hotel to explore Provence.

This hotel is next to everything most people visit in Avignon. They provided 10 percent off in the large underground parking lot. The staff was helpful with restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was a buffet that included eggs, sausage plus all the other usual choices of meats, cheeses, breads and yogurts. One pleasant surprise was frozen yogurt. I would stay here again.

The only problem we encountered was that the ac in our room did not work and the weather was in the 80’s; but we were able to open the windows so that the room cooled off at night.

Conveniently located to everything. Entrance is between restaurants and cafes on the right hand side as you come from the train station, opposite the city theatre. I missed it first time when I walked past. Hence the detail for you! The staff were very friendly, gave me two options of a room. They were always helpful and friendly. The room was large and provided me with everything I needed. This hotel offers competitive rates and helps you manage your travel budget well. I completely recommend it. Also the breakfast is very good and well priced.

Selecting Kyriad Palais des Papes Hotel was the best choice of the week! The twin room was economical, the largest and most spacious, most comfortable beds, the largest bathroom and shower and very modern and up to date facilities. If all of the Kyriad hotels are exactly like this one, I’ll definitely pick Kyriad again. The location was fantastic, close to all of the tourist attractions and yet very quiet.

Located in the centre of the historic area close to the railway station,this hotel offers spacious rooms which are light, bright, very clean and quiet. All thesights are within easy walking distance. The staff speak English and are particularly helpful There is a lift. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and cafes. It would be my first choice for accommodation in Avignon as it is very reasonably priced.

Hotel is well located and clean. Arrived around 1:00, room not ready, must wait till 3:00, the check-in time. That is fair. At 3:15, room still not ready but we can give you this other room which is very quiet and looks out at street. Okay. But room is in the housekeeper’s work area, must access through breakfast room, and apparent refrigerator in room does not cool (later clarified that it isn’t meant to cool, just hold something already chilled as cool — kinda pointless). It was such a weird set-up we asked about getting another room. “Then you will have to wait.” Well, we took it. It actually worked out okay, although the construction that began adjacent to the room (not part of hotel) in the morning & continued the rest of our stay certainly detracted from a “quiet” room. And they did let us use their big refrigerator in the kitchen to chill a bottle of wine. All in all, I just got the feeling we could have got more for our money/a smoother experience elsewhere.

Right below the Palais, the location is perfect. We took a half day small group wine tour that picked us up right across from the hotel. This was excellent as well. Helpful staff, spacious room, large bath and access to a roof terrace where we could enjoy wine and snacks. Our 5th floor view was of the opera house and beautiful hotel de ville clock tower. Superb!

Nice hotel in the city center. Very friendly staff who goes an extra mile to help you and sincerely tries to assist you with your queries regarding places to visit, restaurants, shops, etc. Room is clean with tea making facilities. Nice breakfast also available and famous sightseeing places are a walking distance away. Palais des papes is hardly a minute away and point d'avignon just a 10 minutes walk away. Highly recommended. Will definitely stay again on my next visit to Avignon.
