Reviewed Sep 7, 2026La posizione è centralissima, direi la migliore a Saimt Malò, nella piazza del "castello", ovvero del comune. Bell'edificio, con sottostanti un bar ed un ristorante/bistrot: la rue che porta all'hotel è un susseguirsi di locali per mangiare: attenzione anche qui, perchè chiudono presto, rispetto agli standard italiani. Facilità di parcheggio (a settembre) nei parcheggi lungo il porto, a pagamento: ma costo accettabilissimo.
Camera veramente piccola (venduta d'altronde come10 mq, direi bagno compreso....), un po' vecchiotta, bagno ugualmente piccolo: va bene, in questa tipologia di camera, per una o due notti. Una maggiore attenzione verso il cliente non guasterebbe, anche a colazione: ma la posizione è troppo bella, e ci si passa sopra....

Reviewed Aug 30, 2026We didn't expect to be in such perfect location, but it's in the heart of Intramural of Saint-Malo and tons of food options right outside the door. Yet still not a loud room at night, even though right outside the hotel it's pretty loud. Generally very nice staff and better than expected as a stay. Location was really perfect as also all the parking spots are only a few min by feet away, which can be an issue when staying in Intramural here (no cars allowed).
Small room if you have a lot of luggage. We left a lot in the car so for us it was fine.

Non ci è piaciuto quasi nulla della struttura. Camere molto calde senza aria condizionata. Pernottamento di due notti senza cambio asciugamani. Inoltre , per chi viaggia con animale domestico, viene richiesto un deposito cauzionale (150 euro x un cane e 300 euro x un gatto) senza che sia specificato nelle loro condizioni generali. L’accoglienza è poco amichevole.

Certaines chaines de télévision ne marchaient pas. Absence de climatisation. Chambre donnant sur des terrasses de café, donc pas mal de bruit jusqu'à 2 heures du matin. Les chambres méritent une rénovation. C'est très vieillot!

The room was hot and no air con. When you opened the windows you could hear the noise from a bar in the street below until the early hours. Don’t stay in a room at the back of the hotel.

Je trouve que le rapport qualité-prix est décevant. Je suis venu avec mes parents, donc nous étions trois dans une chambre. Celle-ci faisait environ 12 mètres carrés, hors salle de bains et toilettes. Ce n'est vraiment pas spacieux. La plus grande déception est l'absence de climatisation. Je comprends que nous sommes dans le nord, mais il peut tout de même faire chaud en été. À défaut de climatisation, vous pourriez au moins installer des ventilateurs. Le réfrigérateur fonctionne à peine. Un autre point concerne le petit-déjeuner. J'ai payé 15 euros, mais je l'ai trouvé relativement modeste au regard de ce qui était proposé. Surtout, avez-vous déjà goûté les œufs brouillés ? Je ne suis pas difficile en matière de nourriture, mais ils étaient vraiment immangeables. À mon avis, 15 euros est un prix trop élevé pour ce petit-déjeuner. Dans l'ensemble, le rapport qualité-prix est décevant.

Kamers eerder wat gedateerd. Ligt op de drukste plaats van St Malo. Ik had gelukkig geen kamer aan de straatkant. Gevraagd om een extra nacht, was mogelijk maar was bijna dubbel zo duur dan wat ik betaalde voor mijn nacht. Dus niet genomen.

Nous avions réservé une chambre double avec vue sur le Château. Nous avons été déçus car la chambre que nous avons reçue ne correspond pas aux photos présentées par l'hôtel. Malgré notre réclamation auprès de la réception et notre demande de changement de chambre, aucune solution n’a pu nous être proposée.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026I requested for 4 single beds, which were granted. The location was excellent. It was super easy to find the hotel. The ferry was late by 90 min so it was fairly late when we arrived but the Hotel was still in full swing, was lively and offering a lot. The room was relatively spacious, just enough for the 4 of us. Once we checked out we were allowed to leave our backpacks in a locked room so that we could walk around the historic site.
Though the bathroom looked clean the toilet smelled of urine. Unfortunately, when we asked for gluten-free bread at breakfast, we were told that there was none available.

On avait une chambre qui donnait côté rue pavée. On a été réveillé par le bruit des poubelles dans la rue dès 5h du matin malgré les fenêtres fermées.... Idem par le bruit des autres voyageurs dans les couloirs ou les chambres à proximité. L'isolation est de très mauvaise qualité, Je ne recommande pas cet hôtel pour se reposer ou séjourner en famille.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026Je séjourne une fois par an à l’Hôtel de l’Univers, je n’ai que du bien à en dire : emplacement idéal à deux pas de la plage, des remparts et des commerces ; chambres vraiment spacieuses et propres ; literie confortable ; accueil chaleureux ; service de bagagerie - tout concourt à rendre notre séjour vraiment agréable.

Although mentioned; room was very small, no space for two small suitcases. We had a room with view on old city walk, but this meant also above terrasses. Noisy untill 2am.

Reviewed Aug 5, 2026Ottima posizione, a due passi dai bastioni e dalla spiaggia. Camera un po' piccola e letto comodo, più che sufficiente per un buon riposo. Colazione buona e varia ma a pagamento.
Per il tipo e dimensione della camera un po' troppo costoso (colazione si paga a parte), anche se nella media degli hotel della zona.

Reviewed Aug 5, 2026Locatie hotel binnen de stadsmuren is leuk. Heel veel kamers en dus voor massa toerisme. Parkeren is onmogelijk. Dus reken op parkeren buiten de stadsmuren.
Te duur voor eenvoudige kamer. Volgende keer zoek ik een hotel buiten de stadsmuren.
