La localisation. La literie excellente.

L hôtel ne signale pas la façon de se rendre à l hôtel, alors qu il y a des travaux qui interdisent un accès direct en voiture. Le parking de l hôtel est à 200metres de l hotel donc des difficultés pour les voyageurs ayant des problèmes de dos pour le transport des valises. Chambre mal nettoyée ( lavabo bouché, table non nettoyée) Les plats cuisinés passent de la cuisine en salle du restorant panoramique en passant par l ascenseur des voyageurs sans que les dits plats ne soient protégés par un couvercle (Hygiène problématique).

Room very clean with good bed, excellent sea view and tea and coffee making facilities. Location brilliant as right in the town and by the ramparts. Breakfast good. Dinner first night in the Panoramic restaurant was amazing! Second night in the Brasserie was great too.

Shower leaked. Should have been a fridge. Parking expensive.

The noise from the restaurants often open until 1.00 and then they put furniture away, and at around 5.30/6.00 they put the furniture back out!!

The room was lovely, the bathroom was amazing, we had a sea view but unfortunately we had to book in at the ferry too early to have breakfast. We did have lunch at the bar late afternoon and it was delicious, the staff were so helpful, I left a ring in the bedroom and only realised on the ferry, the staff contacted me and have arranged to post my ring. Excellent service

Très decevant: la rapport qualité prix n'est pas du tout à la hauteur. Le petit dejeuner est plus que moyen à 15e par personne ce n'est pas correct bien que la salle soit très jolie la qualité n'est vraiment pas là. La jeune femme a l'accueil tres aimable mais sa cadre qui lui crie dessus devant les clients...moyen... La chambre "superieure avec vue mer" est située au 2eme etage et offre un aprecu mer mais contrairement aux photos booking il y a un vis a vis direct avec les remparts. Des taches sur la moquette, un interrupteur incomplet qui n'inspire pas confiance, des boutons de porte manquants, robinetterie cassée quoique fonctionnelle... à 253e la nuit hors petit dejeuner...

Outstanding historical hotel in the best spot of intra muros Saint Malo. It has been smartly renewed so everything is fresh and contemporary, still remaining classic and perfectly matched with the beautiful building. The room was lovely, with a beautiful view. The cafè/bistro/restaurant open to the square has a beautiful atmosphere and very good food and service.

Super zentrale Lage in Saint Malo - intra muros - und fußläufig nur ein paar Meter von Parkplätzen und Parkgarage entfernt - perfekt, um die Gegend zu erkunden und Ausflüge nach Dinard, Dinan, Cancale und Mont Saint Michel zu machen!

Un hotel con historia, precioso por dentro pero el baño de la habitación era muy pequeño y en bastante mal estado. El colchón malísimo, la habitación minúscula. Pero lo peor ha sido llegar desde el parking con las maletas... Las calles del casco antiguo están adoquinadas por lo cual ha sido un verdadero suplicio llegar con el equipaje hasta el hotel. Deberían cuidar más la limpieza del baño (el 1 día faltaba el gel de ducha) y en general renovarlo por dentro. Una pena que no se mantenga en buen estado un hotel con tanta historia... Le doy un 6.

Ніякої організації сніданку. Необхідно чекати «дефіцитну» тарілку. Мене покусали якісь комахи в номері! Без берушей неможливо спати. На ранок виїзду просили менеджера на рецепшн викликати таксі, як же були здивовані, коли і таксі не приїхало і на рецепшн нікого не було!

Der Service in den Restaurants war nicht gut. Beim Frühstück morgens immer ein Chaos und Abends waren die Kellner sehr müde und vergesslich (verständlich nach einer langen Saison!)

Great location in the old town. A grand hotel but could do with some tlc. Panoramic restaurant is outstanding, we had the tasting menu for the 2nd year running.

A small improvement would be getting the car park entry email earlier in the day of booking.

The location was great, very central, near the main restaurant area and next to the town walls and coast. The hotel is a historic building. The breakfast is fine, the usual buffet. Great shower pressure!

The hotel doesn't have air con, which is fine if you can open the windows. But being so central, and right next to (and above) the busy bars and restaurants, you can't sleep with the windows open because of the party-goers outside. However you can't sleep with the windows closed as it's so hot. A catch 22! When we did finally get to sleep, we were woken early with street cleaners, bin lorries etc. The lift was old and smelly. The room was very dated (circa 1980 I would guess) and quite small. All in all a bit disappointing for our last night on holiday. It felt like a lot of money for very little sleep.

We had a delightful view of the sea, the city walls, and a fort beyond.

There was a lovely bath but no stand-up shower. This was difficult for my husband to use, but they brought us a mat and a stool which helped a lot.

Superbe hôtel intra-muros avec vue sur les remparts. Idéal pour visiter la cité et être dans l’ambiance. Tres belle décoration,chambres spacieuses. La nôtre offrait une vue au dessus des remparts, avec le levé de soleil en prime. Le petit déjeuner est copieux, fait de produits maison. Nous n’avons pas dîner dans le restaurant mais la carte est alléchante. Le personnel est sympa et professionnel. Nous avons pu stocker nos vélos dans un local proche.

Tolle Lage intra muros, schönes Zimmer, Ausblick auf Meer und Rathaus. Wir kennen in Saint Malo inzwischen 8 Hotels. Das France et Chateaubriand gefällt uns sehr gut, auch in Preis/Leistung. In Saint Malo gibt es viele grottenschlechte und dabei teure Hotels. Dieses gehört definitiv nicht dazu.

Nichts zu bemängeln. Auch dem Hund hat es gefallen.

Die Unterkunft hat grosse Räume die sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet sind. Das Inhaberpaar ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Gutes Frühstück mit Wahlmöglichkeiten.

The location is very good, right in the old town, and the building itself is lovely, with some beautiful original features that hint at its history and past.. The hotel is quite basic, but it is clean, everything works as it should, and the room was comfortable enough. Breakfast was basic but perfectly adequate, with the usual continental selection, plus an omelette, bacon and sausages as the hot options. There were some fresh fruits, although no vegetables, and the coffee from the machine was actually very good. We chose the hotel mainly because of the parking option. However, the parking is actually at the nearby Q-Park Saint-Malo – Saint-Vincent public car park, which can be booked online in advance, so this is worth knowing when making a comparison with other hotels. The bar area is nice, and it was lovely to be able to have a drink on the terrace overlooking the market square.

We stayed in a Superior Room overlooking the inner courtyard. However, with the window open, it could get quite noisy in the evening and early morning. The room also became quite warm, and as there is no air conditioning, this could be problematic during hot weather. The staff were polite, but we didn’t really get a sense that they were particularly engaged or interested in making our stay special, and there was very little interaction

Il rapporto qualità/prezzo è stato il peggiore dei 5 hotel di pari categoria nei quali ho soggiornato in Bretagna nello scorso agosto. Deludente in particolare la colazione: brioche bruciacchiate, zero torte...insomma, anonima quasi quanto un motel di passaggio...

Lovely location with an incredible view from our rooms.

Building itself is charming, if not slightly tired. Staff were not the most polite.

There was no aircon and the rooms were extremely tired.

Our sea view room with views of the ramparts and ocean was exceptional and was the highlight of our stay in Saint Malo.

The sliding door on the toilet in particular was awkward, did not totally cover the toilet opening and would get stuck in trying to move it when closed. The toilet paper was issued in dreadful little squares which ran out, were not replaced in the container and the replacement sachet left on top was awkward to manage a tended to drop small sheets everywhere. Regular toilet paper would have been preferred. Room to lay out 2 medium cases and hand luggage was very cramped.

We booked the restuarant for a meal and it was excellent. Food drink and the atmosphere were great and the decor was really nice.

I feel like the superior room we booked wasn't up to standard at was a little dated. The 1st room didn't have a shower and we got moved to a diffrent room. For the price we thought these rooms should have been nicer especially the bathrooms.

Fabulous location just inside the walled town. Beds were very comfortable and the hotel very well decorated. The general standard of food were also excellent.

Il parcheggio non è loro ma è un pubblico sotterranea, non molto distante ma essendo l'hotel situato in zona pedonale, con pietre come selciato, il traporto delle valigie è piuttosto difficoltoso

Excellent location, very close to beach, bars and restaurants. Historical building with lots of character and the restaurant was fantastic!

Stunning views of the beautiful beaches outside and the city walls. A pretty room with nice lighting details and a nice shower with a rain head and some nice products. We loved how centrally located the hotel was, and we were even able to park our car pretty close by, making coming/going easier than we thought. Nice restaurant downstairs. Would stay here again but would probably get a family suite instead for size/convenience.

Booking.com seems to have glitched and set our booking as for one person, rather than two (it seems like we weren’t the only person that happened to after speaking with hotel staff). Our room was pretty tight. If we had just been on a brief 1-2 night stay, it would have been fine but since we were on the last stop of a multi-week vacation across Europe, it was quite snug/cluttered in there. It felt like the hotel didn’t have a real sense of how guests would use their rooms - no clear place to hang towels/swimsuits for example, despite being right on the beach. Bed was comfortable but pillows were not - my husband is still walking around with a painful neck days later. There is a paneled drop ceiling in the bathroom and the panels blew up and moved around whenever we had the window of the room open. Oh, and if you’re looking for romance, be aware that the toilet has a glass door and a big glass window next to it - not a lot of privacy when using the facilities!

Un peu difficile pour stationner mais l'hotel nous a trouvé une solution !

Nous avons tout aimé ! C'est endroit magnifique pour les personnes qui le goût des belles choses. Notre chambre était très bien. La salle du petit déjeuner absolument splendide . L'ascenseur pour monter à l'étage les bagages. La Brasserie superbe et de nous avons très bien mangé. C'était pour mon anniversaire 🎂, 60 ans. J'ai adoré et nous y retournerons avec beaucoup de plaisir !

The hotel is very well positioned and it was lovely to have a residents’ lounge downstairs where we could spend time in the evening.

The shower in the room did not extend to full height. Also, there were shortages at breakfast when milk and muesli were not replenished.

We stayed in the family room which was 2 rooms joined together. One room had no window and was extraordnarily hot which made sleeping impossible. When I raised this as an issue to reception I was met with a very Gallic shrug because I was leaving that day they couldn't do anything.

Crazy money for very old room ( needs renovation, old carpets, conditioning not working, they don't give even simple toiletries was only only one pushing all over shampoo for everything! Breakfast was poor no greens at all, crepes were few days old, scrambled eggs were from powder and we payed for 2 days 905 €.

Tolle Lage, zentral und trotzdem ruhig. Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

De ligging is top, en we hadden mooie ruime kamers. Personeel is zeer vriendelijk. Ontbijt was goed. Interieur is sfeervol en chique. Onze kamers keken uit op het plein, de volgende keer zullen we kamers met uitzicht op zee vragen :-)

De badkamers waren wat gedateerd. De douche van een van onze kamers stroomde over, dit kon pas de volgende dag gefixed worden.

I rivestimenti e l’arredo della stanza: vecchia moquette sporca, muri trascurati e non ridipinti da molto tempo, armadio guardaroba ridotto a una misera struttura di formica vista, bagno con sanitari vecchi e persino il phon asciugacapelli vecchio e non funzionante.

La localisation, la déco dans son ensemble très soignée

L’absence de clim nous a obligé à dormir la fenêtre ouverte, je n’ai contre les mouettes et autres goélands, mais des 5h du matin c’est dur… J’ai également demandé des conseils pour fêter nos 10 ans de mariage, un petit mot dans la chambre aurait été apprécié…

Location Amazing. Downstairs of the Hotel beautifully decorated & very cool.

Everything above ground floor - corridors and rooms - all a bit tired & threadbare. Paid quite a lot of money and our room didn't even have a shower, just a bath with handheld shower attachment. Went to the bar to get a drink and was told to find a seat and wait for waiter service and no one came for 25 minutes. Was told there would be someone on reception 24hrs but when we had to check out early due to early ferry no one was there and had to work out how to unlock the main door ourselves.

Durch die zentrale Lage ist es sehr laut am frühen Morgen. Es gibt kein direktes Parkhaus und zu wenig Parkmöglichkeiten vom Hotel selbst, dadurch waren wir gezwungen nur das nötigste aus dem Wagen mitzunehmen.

Very well located intra-muros, hotel de charme old style. The standard room was quite small and not very comfortable. Good breakfast. The staff was very kind but it looked not very experienced.

We found hair in the bathroom and in the shower/bathtub which, moreover, had the handle for the shower broken. They promised we could change the room the following day but afterwards not a word from the staff. I left some laundry and got it back not ironed. Therefore not really ready to wear.
