The location of the property is perfect, right in the old town and in a great area. Close by to shops, restaurants and historical sites. Very comfortable and clean room, great bed and mattress with very comfy pillows which you can purchase from the hotel . The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The reception staff very friendly especially Nicholas who was very polite and courteous and also gave us some very good recommendations for restaurants and sites to visit. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful views from our room overlooking the port.

It was different, room was good and clean. Bed was comfortable.

Lots of stairs to the room, which we didn’t know about when we booked. We are 80 years old . It could have been mentioned to us. It was also very noisy into the early morning.

Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis steht in keiner Relation! Das Zimmer ist sehr klein, sehr bescheiden ausgestattet. Für diesen Preis bekommt man normalerweise eine sehr ansprechendes Zimmer in einem 5-Sterne Hotel. Frühstück sehr rudimentär.

Our stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. One of the main advantages was the convenient location, right next to the entrance to the Old Town. There are also plenty of lovely cafés, restaurants, and shops nearby, which makes it a great place to explore the area. We really liked the overall style and design of both the hotel and the room. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean and comfortable. We also appreciated having a good fan in the room, which is especially important in older buildings without air conditioning. The breakfast area was quite small, but the breakfast itself was very good and more than satisfactory for our taste. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the atmosphere and location of the hotel.

The only downside was the smell in the bathroom and toilet. Since the building is old and there is no proper ventilation system, the air in these areas felt somewhat stale and unpleasant.

The location, the great staff. Room was clean.

For the price it was poor. No air con in the room, no fridge or mini bar, it says it has parking but it has zero private parking. You park on the street at €45 per day, or in a public car park at €18.50 a day. For one beer and a coke €17 in the hotel bar. Breakfast area is way too small. No elevator on a 4 storey building. Steep steps.

Nous avons aimé l'emplacement de l'hôtel, le petit déjeuner ainsi que l'accueil, la disponibilité et la gentillesse des personnes qui y travaillent et la propreté générale de l'hôtel qui est irréprochable.

Le prix qui est trop élevé par rapport à la chambre (equipement, dimensions de la chambre et de la salle de bain).. L'insonorisation entre les chambres qui est trop faible.

L'hotel è in pieno centro, nel cuore di Saint Malo. Gli spazi sono curati e ben organizzati. La colazione è ricca e varia. Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile.

Struttura particolare, a tema marinaro. Personale molto gentile. Buona la colazione.

Die Lage ist hervorragend: direkt in der Altstadt, sodass alles bequem zu Fuß erreichbar ist. Unsere Suite war schön geräumig, das Bett bequem und auch das Badezimmer ausreichend groß und sauber.

Das Hotel ist in der Hochsaison völlig überteuert. Da kein anderes Zimmer mehr verfügbar war, mussten wir eine Suite buchen: 1.000 Euro für zwei Personen, zwei Nächte inklusive Frühstück. Für diesen Preis hätten wir deutlich mehr erwartet. Es gibt keinen Aufzug, nur eine sehr schmale Treppe, keine Minibar und keinen Tresor im Zimmer und nicht einmal eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit wie Begrüßungswasser oder Schokolade. Insgesamt fehlt es an Ausstattung und Service, die einen solchen Preis rechtfertigen würden. Wir waren mit Fahrrädern unterwegs und mussten diese auf der Straße abstellen, da das Hotel über keinen geeigneten Abstellraum verfügt. Der Frühstücksraum ist klein und das Angebot eher durchschnittlich. Die junge Dame an der Rezeption war freundlich, musste jedoch offenbar alles allein bewältigen: die Rezeption sowie das Café mit den Sitzplätzen innen und auf der Terrasse. Natürlich bestimmen Reisezeit und Lage den Preis mit – dennoch bekommt man für 1.000 Euro andernorts wesentlich mehr geboten.

Zimmer zu klein und der Preis unverschämt es war sehr warm im Zimmer keine Lüftung. Es war sehr laut in der ersten Nacht. Man konnte nicht schlafen. Keine warmen speisen zum Frühstück

The staff were very helpful and clean.

The room and bathroom were exceptionally small with no air conditioning so very hot and uncomfortable also very noisy throughout the night. The kind staff supplied a fan for the 2nd night but without being able to have the window open because of the noise it was still not sufficient.

La literie était confortable, la localisation est top, le personnel était globalement sympathique

L'exiguïté de l'ascenseur (bâtiment historique), le bruit dans la rue en pleine nuit, la bagagerie n'était pas une vraie bagagerie (les valises étaient laissées dans l'entrée sans vérification de la personne qui les récupère)

L'accueil de Nicolas, le réceptionniste, a été extraordinaire. Il nous a donné plein de bons conseils pour découvrir St Malo et les environs et conseillé également de bonnes adresses pour se restaurer.

Il n'y a pas de climatisation dans les chambres et si on ouvre les fenêtres la nuit, c'est très bruyant car l'hôtel est entouré de bars et restaurants. Je déconseille d'y aller en pleine canicule !

Cooles Hotel-Thema - speziell für eine grosse Kette wie Ibis. Die Lage ist perfekt und der Service ausgezeichnet.

Nicht wirklich schlecht - aber einen Hinweis wert: Wir hatten noch nie einen kleineren Lift gesehen als in diesem Hotel. Selbst unser Kühlschrank ist grösser ;) Eine Person mit einem grossen Gepäckstück geht - mehr definitiv nicht. Und das Frühstücksbuffet: Hat alles, was es braucht, aber auch hier wird das Hotel seinem Seefahrts-Motto gerecht und bietet ungefähr soviel Platz wie die Mannschaftsküche auf einem mittegrossen Boot... Die Hinweise auf dem Zimmer zu den Stosszeiten am Buffet sind ausdrücklich als eine ernstgemeinte Warnung zu verstehen ;)

We spent 4 nights here and had a very positive experience. The location is beautiful, and the fun maritime decor immediately gets you into the spirit of Saint-Malo. The room was super comfortable for the three of us, featuring a great sofa bed. Bonus points for the convenient parking right outside the city walls, directly opposite the hotel. Breakfast was average but decent. Overall, a highly recommended and convenient stay!

Being on the ground floor next to the city's high historic walls, the room was a bit dark, but that's unavoidable given the unique location.

Nicolas and Benjamin went above and beyond. Perfect location. Easy walk to everything.

No air-conditioning and awfully loud on the streets outside. Had to close the window to try and sleep, which meant we overheated.

La habitación en la planta baja con salida directa a la calle. Sin aire acondicionado y sin posibilidad de dormir con la ventana abierta. La ducha formaba parte de un todo junto al lavabo y el inodoro. En la reserva indicaban con vistas a un lugar de interés pero solo se veia la pared del muro. Falta de limpieza.

The location in the heart of the old city perfect

I didn’t like having to pay an extra 30 euros for a fan in the room during the massive exceptional heatwave. I think the hotel should prioritise the comfort of their guests during a heat wave and provide fans at no extra costs . The hotel has no air conditioning.

Location excellent within the walls. Room was furnished like a cabin on a ship which was interesting. Excellent choice of food at breakfast. I loved all the different types of bread.

Room (twin) was very small for two people with two suitcases.

Très bel accueil dés notre arrivée avec une personne souriante et beaucoup d'humour, la chambre est fonctionnel, propre avec une très bonne literie, la sale de bain est correct elle aussi, le petit déjeuner était très bien

Pas d'ascenseur, il faut monter les étages avec les bagages (escalier très étroit qui ne rend pas forcément la tâche facile. rapport qualité prix un peu élevé.

Teeny tiny lift - made husband use it balancing the luggage and I took the stairs. Would have been awful if we were on a higher floor. Room was an okay size but the bathroom was small. Squished in to sit on the toilet. Weird shaped shower cubicle, a bit too small - hard to wash properly.

Alles sehr eng, Zimmer und Bad winzig, Aufzug passt nur 1 Person mit Gepäck. Auch Frühstücksraum eng. Kühlschrank und Safe nicht vorhanden. Bei dem Preis eigentlich selbstverständlich.

I loved the location; friendly and helpful staff and the breakfast. Also liked the provision of water to refill your water bottle that was in the reception.

I paid for a larger room with sea view but the room in my opinion was very small. The rooms are not soundproof and I was woken up at 3.00am with someone’s alarm. Conversations could be heard.
