Reviewed Sep 18, 2026Staff were friendly, location is good near the station and several supermarkets. Room and bathroom were clean.
They did not allow check-in earlier than 2:30 pm and we had to wander in the city because our booked train was early in the morning. Dental kit and slippers were not provided. Make sure to bring yours. No bidet in the bathroom.

To our shock, the bathroom for each room was located outside the room itself. This critical information was never clearly disclosed on the hotel's listing or during the booking process. The photos on Booking.com portray well-equipped, proper rooms. In reality, we were assigned small, run-down rooms with severely worn furniture and substandard amenities that look nothing like the advertised images. There was no room telephone to contact reception regarding issues or basic assistance. During extremely hot weather, there was no air conditioning. The only provision was a small, ancient electric fan in each room, which failed to make the rooms livable.

Reviewed Sep 1, 2026Ich musste für das spätere Check-out CHF 90 bezahlen, obwohl das Zimmer für den nächsten Tag nicht gebucht war. OK. Nur konnte ich am vereinbarten Zeitpunkt, das Zimmer nicht mehr betreten. Also wollte ich mein Geld zurück. Der Chef behauptete, die Zimmerkarte hätte neu programmiert werden müssen. Warum hat er es nicht getan? Sehr unfreundlich. Nie wieder Hotel Europe.

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026Excellent location. The lady at reception was very helpful. There is a nice view of the mountains from the balcony. Breakfast is European with juice, cereal, pastries, boiled eggs, cheese, ham etc. The self serve coffee machine is excellent.
The bed was soft with a mattress topper and personally I prefer a firm bed but that is to the individual. The balcony is not particularly private.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026Sehr unkompliziert, nettes Personal, tolles Frühstücksbuffet. Mir hat zudem der Lift sehr gut gefallen (Gebauer). Unser Zimmer war auf die von der Strasse abgewandte Seite ausgerichtet.
Wenig Parkmöglichkeiten, obwohl inkl. Wir waren früh da und hatten wohl Glück und einen Parkplatz. Sind dann nachher nur noch zu Fuss weg. Das Boxspringbett hat stark "geknackst". Wir hätten es geschätzt, wenn der Minikühlschrank eingesteckt (= bereits kalt) gewesen wäre.

Keine Klimaanlage wir hatten 28 grad im Zimmer Es war kaum auszuhalten auch im Badezimmer gab es nur eine Abluft keinen Abzug somit war es Warm und Feucht. Frühstück sehr lieblos und einfach. Keine Lactosefreien Optionen

Ademas que tienes una hermosa vista de las montañas. El desayuno esta super rico todo muy fresco y una variedad de quesos increible. Estas a solo 100 metros de la estacion del tren y metro de Brig. Super increible vale cada euro pagado.

Reviewed Jul 24, 2026Nous avons apprécié une chambre spacieuse, lumineuse, calme malgré la proximité de la gare, une literie confortable et une terrasse extérieure aménagée. Le petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet est correct avec des produits frais Les quelques places de parking gratuites sont un plus non négligeable. La jeune réceptionniste (présente mardi à mercredi) mérite une mention spéciale pour sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité, et l'attention portée à ses hôtes.
La lumière dans la chambre est trop faible pour la lecture. Dans la salle de bain il manque 3 ampoules sur 6 au dessus du lavabo.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026Das Hotel liegt zentral in Brig, nur wenige Meter bis in die Altstadt. Das Zimmer war sauber, das Personal hilfsbereit und nett.
Das Zimmer war nicht klimatisiert, ein Ventilator war jedoch vorhanden. Parkplätze sind nur sehr wenige direkt am Hotel verfügbar. Öffentliche Parkmöglichkeiten sind nahe zum Hotel vorhanden, ab 19 Uhr kostenlos. Durch den gegenüberliegenden Bahnhof gibt es immer etwas Lärm bei geöffneten Fenstern.

Reviewed Jul 16, 2026I loved the location, the type of room, the breakfast, the elevator was appreciated for luggage- but above all the absolute standout are the kind family parents who run this hotel. They are professionals who are absolutely efficient and communicative, but they are also completely connected to the human heart. What a combo. They recognized my tiredness levels even though they must see many types of tired traveller every day, and they treated me as an individual that was worthy of attention and graciousness. They were above and beyond, helping me carry sleeping kids to the beds even when I arrived super late by taxi, and were so empathic that it’s actually been a keystone point of warmth of my memory of the journey, and of Brig. Their breakfast is a compilation of caring, locally sourced, delicious choices which really is uplifting after a good solid sleep. My kids absolutely adored it, and they responded so positively to the managers and staff too - and we know how honest kids are!! I will certainly recommend this place to friends and family, without a hesitation, and with warmest gratitude.
It should be more famous for its excellent quality. I would suggest a visitors book (maybe I didn’t see it) so that happy rested travellers can gush by handwriting too, as a heartwarming reading material for future guests in the lobby too! I will definitely stay again if I return to stay in brig, whether with family or by myself. Thank you both so much, Orion & Z! I wish your family the very best.
