Room had a bad smell esp the bathroom, bed was ok but the pillow was awful, felt like it was filled with wood shavings, a decent pillow doesn’t cost much, very loose and badly positioned toilet seat, easy things to fix, a nice hotel ruined by small details.

Reviewed Sep 17, 2026L'hôtel a une décoration très chargée et typée Afrique du Nord, avec un petit jardin kitsch intérieur, c'est surprenant à Bruxelles mais très sympathique, on se croirait au Maroc! Notre chambre était petite mais fonctionnelle. Nous avons pu discuter avec le patron de l'hôtel qui nous a montré des souvenirs de clients fameux passés par son hôtel, il y a plein de photos de célébrités sur les murs! Parking payant tout proche, Place de l'Albertine (Mont des Arts). Expérience à vivre si vous êtes à Bruxelles.

Reviewed Sep 16, 2026Bardzo dobra lokalizacja, praktycznie zaraz przy rynku i w samym centrum życia towarzyskiego. Parkingu brak ale w odległości 10 minut spaceru jest parking podziemny (bardzo drogi, ale trudno). Wygodne łóżka.
Śniadanie symboliczne i wyliczone dla każdego gościa. Nie pamiętam kiedy piłem tak okropną kawę. Pokoje ciemne, momentami dawno nie odświeżane. Część rzeczy zrobione mało profesjonalnie, np zamiast kontaktu przy łóżku przyklejony do ściany przedłużacz. Wystrój strasznie kiczowaty, choć to rzecz gustu.

STAY AWAY!!! This was the worst experience of my life!! I've travelled to 45 countries and this was the dirtiest place I've ever been to. The owner is always hanging around, he tried charging me 40 euros for breakfast to begin with, then he told he was giving me a "great room" as a favour: the room was disgusting, dirty, small, dark, dingy. Found a bug in the bathroom and the sheets were stained. Asked for a different room, the owner decided "I was causing too much trouble and said he was throwing me out about ten times". I am a 60 year old grandmother travelling alone in Europe, being thrown out of a "hotel" in the middle of the afternoon because I asked for clean sheets and a clean room. He refused to give me my money back and unfortunately I had already paid over $500 for four nights. I stayed but hated every minute of it. Bought a plastic tarp and slept on it so I wouldn't touch the sheets or bed. Disgusting!

Reviewed Sep 13, 2026Das Gute: Die Lage. Einmalig, sehr zentral, fußläufig ab Bahnhof, recht preiswert. Das Frühstück habe ich nicht probiert, dürfte aber reichhaltig und liebevoll zubereitet sein. Das Personal ist auch sehr freundlich. Unterm Strich: Für den Preis war es eigentlich OK.
Leider war mein Zimmer doch sehr simpel, dunkel und etwas schmuddelig, aber "noch" sauber, so ehrlich muss man sein. Abends kann es etwas lauer sein (von der Straße, an der es liegt), aber dafür ist es eben super zentral.

Reviewed Sep 10, 2026The owner is absolutely lovely, he was so welcoming. I was travelling solo and he gave me a room at the back away from the noise. He really takes the time to have a chat with you whenever he sees you.
As others have pointed out, there is no air-conditioning. Luckily it wasn't too hot when I went, but can imagine it would get pretty hot in the rooms

Reviewed Sep 10, 2026Really cool Moroccan feel... unique layout unfortunately lots of narrow stairs to get to our suite which is a bit harder with luggage... No AC in room :( The open window breeze did its work though... Location is beyond superior, right in the middle of down town with a short walk to everything. Most of the attractions and food are within short walking distance.
Room was dated, used/beatup and a bit dirty....

Magnifica la struttura, decorata con cura e originalità dal proprietario. Ogni stanza e corridoio è un museo e lascia senza fiato dalla bellezza. Inoltre il proprietario ci ha accolte in italiano, in quanto parla sette lingue. È estremamente cordiale, disponibile, alla mano e ci ha fatte sentire molto benvenute. È stato così gentile da farci un breve tour dei luoghi turistici principali. È un viaggiatore e ha tanto da raccontare. Le stanze sono spaziose e arieggiate, provviste di tutti i comfort. Consigliatissimo.

Reviewed Sep 9, 2026Localização é perfeita. Praticamente na Grand Place e perto de todas as atrações e muito próximo da estação de trem central. O banheiro do nosso quarto estava reformado e atendeu bem. Ducha muito boa. Os donis são atenciosos.
O hotel é bem antigo com uma decoração bastante intensa, propícia para acumular poeira e bichos. A janela do quarto era pequena e o quarto escuro. Não tem ar condicionado, nem frigobar. O ventilador é antigo, não ventila e faz muito barulho. O carpete não é higienizado periodicamente e o chão é bem fofo, range qdo anda por ele. A roupa de cama estava nova e limpa mas não fiquei confortável, parecia que a qualquer momento apareceriam o tão dos percevejos e outros bichos. Fiquei um dia e meio mas se fossem mais dias eu mudaria de hotel.

Reviewed Sep 9, 2026Best location. 1 minute walk to Grand Place, right in the middle of restaurants, especially good Asian on the corner, and a few hundred metres to Gare Centrale train. Welcoming staff, reception open all the time, bed was comfortable. Mixed Islamic walls with Mozart paintings but at least it is interesting not boring! Lift is small but functional and working well.
Booked a single so room smallish and a bit crowded, but still works fine. Looking a bit worn in places but it is an old building.

Très bruyant. La décoration est belle mais pas du tout fonctionnelle… miroir dans la chambre situé au dessus de la tête. Chaise qui ne servait à rien car cassée. Garde robe trop grande pour la chambre donc placée devant le fenêtre. Rideaux cassés. Douche avec jet très faible.

Perfect for the reasons we were there, lots of tourist attractions within walking distance as well as the train station. Ease of movement was the most important part. The hotel was clean, it is very eclectic with collections of items from around the world. We very much enjoyed the colours and sites of the decor throughout the hotel. Staff was good, courteous, helpful and friendly.
We were there during a heat wave where the temperature exceeded 40C. Unfortunately, the hotel does not have air conditioning. Granted, Brussels does not normally get that hot. It was unforeseen but uncomfortable. They gave us a floor fan and it helped. The breakfast left us disappointing. It was half a bun, a croissant and a juice. Definitely needed to get a mid morning snack.

Reviewed Sep 5, 2026Fantastic location just off the grand place and near Central train station. Staff were helpful although they didn't mention the TV signal was broken. Its quirky like it's photos, but great value, clean and well located. The breakfast is very basic but was OK for me.
The room had a fan, was very grateful for this but in August wish I'd had air con. I didn't feel safe leaving the window to my room open as there was an escape ladder and platform right outside the door size window. But nice would stay again.

Pour le prix payer, la chambre ne convenait pas. De plus, la chambre n'était pas propre. Je ne recommande pas cet hotel !

Reviewed Sep 2, 2026Líbilo se mi všechno. Náhodně jsem potkal majitele hotelu, tedy jednoho z nejvíce laskavých a příjemných osob, co jsem viděl. Za tak malou cenu je to fakt skvěle.
Nerad říkávám že minusy nejsou, ale tady to tak opravdu je. Obvykle hodnocení nepíši, ale byl tem pobyt tak dobrý, že bych se styděl to nenapsat

Ben, el propietario se encargó de que nuestra estadía sea amena, él es como un niño bromista, muy alegre. Al despedirnos incluso nos invitó a desayunar en el restaurante y hasta terminó tocando algunas melodías en su piano. Nuestra estadía fue breve, pero sin duda recomendaríamos este hotel.
En la madrugada limpian la ciudad y los camiones se escuchan, si tienen sueño ligero les vaca molestar un poco el ruído externo.

Reviewed Aug 30, 2026Die Lage zwischen Bahnhof und Marktplatz ist ideal. Das Hotel ist sehr schön und es gibt viel zu entdecken. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Wegen der Lage ist es natürlich ziemlich laut und die Zimmer sind hellhörig. Die Betten sind leider durchgelegen. Nach dem Fund einer Kakerlake im Badezimmer konnte ich aber ohne Probleme das Zimmer wechseln.

La struttura è un po datata ma pulita e ordinata nonostante la quantità di oggetti che ospita. A un fascino particolare, gli ambienti comuni sono bellissimi sembra di essere in una altra parte del Mondo. Le camere sono un po datate il bagno e minimali se non avete grosse pretese va più che bene. Tutti gli ambienti sono puliti sia la camera che il bagno. Il Personale molto cortese e disponibile Siamo stati bene.
Il bagno può essere migliorato mancava aspiratore manca qualche gancio per gli asciugamani usati. Trovandosi in pieno centro su una via piena di ristoranti si sente molto il rumore esterno anche la notte quando girano i mezzi delle pulizie delle strade. Forse basterebbe sistemare un po la finestra che dà sulla via per alleviare un po’

The room didn’t feel very clean, and very bad sound proof. I would change the door and the windows, too thin.
