Reviewed Sep 14, 2026Very disappointing experience. There is no reception at the entrance and no clear signage explaining where to find it. The reception is hidden away on the second floor, and getting there involves navigating a confusing series of corridors, finding the elevator, and then going through more corridors. Trying to find the reception feels more like walking through the set of a horror movie than checking into a hotel. At some point, it becomes unclear whether the goal is to find the reception or escape the building. After finally reaching the reception, things don’t get any better. The staff member was rude and unwelcoming. A hotel should make guests feel welcome when they arrive, not make them solve a maze just to check in.

Reviewed Sep 13, 2026המלון ממוקם על הרחוב הראשי 50 מטר מהשוק הענק הכל קרוב מסעדות אוטובוסים ומול המלון שווארמה נהדרת. החדרים גדולים ומאד נקיים. ישנה מרפסת שמקיפה את המלון. ארוחת הבוקר דלה ואין ירקות. בחדרים קומקום ניתן לפי דרישה. הצוות מדבר רק איטלקית ופקיד הקבלה אנגלית בסיסית. ריהוט ישן וארון קטן ללא מדפים רק תליה.

Il punto di forza è sicuramente la posizione, comoda per raggiungere le principali attrazioni e per muoversi facilmente in città. Ho apprezzato molto anche la gentilezza e disponibilità del personale, sempre cortese e attento alle esigenze degli ospiti. Le camere e i bagni sono sufficientemente spaziosi e funzionali. La colazione è discreta, con una scelta adeguata.
L'aspetto che, invece, meriterebbe maggiore attenzione è lo stabile, che appare piuttosto vetusto e avrebbe bisogno di una buona ristrutturazione e di un generale ammodernamento. Un intervento in questo senso valorizzerebbe sicuramente la struttura e renderebbe il soggiorno ancora più piacevole. Nel complesso, una struttura con ottima posizione e personale molto disponibile, che potrebbe migliorare sensibilmente con un intervento di rinnovamento degli ambienti.

Το πρωινό χρειάζεται μεγαλύτερη ποικιλία και πάλι όμως δεν αποτελεί μεγάλο προβλημα αυτό.

Reviewed Aug 15, 2026Pasqualino was a warm gentle guy, nothing was too much for him. As a solo traveller, I felt safe in the hotel. My flight was cancelled due to airport closure and erupting Mount Etna. They had availability upgraded me in a double peaceful air-conditioning room for 1 night when I needed an extra night. The hotel is traditional Italian style which I love..also the location was great walking distance to the train station and bus stop outside
The noise in my single room for the 4 nights but I got used to it and slept through.

Teniamo a specificare una nota di merito al signore della reception che fa il turno di notte, il signore più gentile e disponibile che abbiamo conosciuto nel corso dei nostri giorni passati a Catania.
La luminosità della camera e nella doccia si accumulava l’acqua, era fastidioso dover aspettare che la doccia si svuotasse.

Struttura fatiscente completamente da ristrutturare. Aria condizionata funzionante solo nella stanza ,negli spazi comuni si moriva di caldo. Nel bagno vi era una finestrella piccola quadrata profonda con una grata da quale era impossibile far entrare luce... La lampada dello specchio non funzionante, crepe sul muro della porta. Colazione scarsa.

Hotel is stil blijven staan in de tijd, maar als je daar doorheen kijkt zit je voor een prima prijs op een toplokatie. Men had wel de regel dat bij het verlaten van het hotel je altijd je sleutel moest afgeven.

El ascensor, las lamparas, la decoración del salón y recepción, la TV, los interruptores de la luz, el telefonillo de la entrada... La ubicación es perfecta.
La cama, posiblemente sin haberse cambiado desde su inauguración allá por los años 50 y el desayuno.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2026The location is absolutely fantastic—within walking distance of many of Catania’s main attractions, restaurants, and cafés. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and available 24/7, which made me feel very safe as a solo traveler. The included Italian breakfast was a lovely way to start each morning, and having elevator access was a huge plus. Overall, it was a comfortable and charming place to stay.
The only drawback was the Wi-Fi, which wasn’t reliable enough for remote work or large uploads. However, if you’re a digital nomad, there’s an excellent coworking space with fiber internet within walking distance, so it wasn’t a major issue for me.

O cafe da manha é razoavel, tem pao de forma, croissant, leite, cafe, Manteiga, queijo, Salame, geleia.
Hotel muito antigo, mas tudo na Catania é antigo. O banheiro tem um tamanho normal, porem, box mal da para tomar banho, é bem pequeno, sou pequena e mal conseguia me virar dentro do box. O quarto nao tem iluminacao natural.

Molto comodo per la vicinanza alla fermata della metropolitana Stesicoro e su via Etnea c'è la fermata dell'Alibus che permette un ottimo collegamento con l'aeroporto. Colazione ottima con prodotti dolci e salati e staff molto cordiale e disponibile.

Un jour avant notre départ, nous avons constaté que 180 € en espèces avaient disparu de notre chambre. Nous sommes allés à la réception simplement pour demander, calmement et sans accuser qui que ce soit, si cet argent avait été retrouvé. La première réponse a été de nous dire qu'il s'agissait d'un hôtel familial, que les personnes qui y travaillent ne sont pas des voleurs et que nous avions probablement mal fermé la porte de notre chambre. Pourtant, je vérifiais systématiquement que la porte était bien verrouillée. Lorsque nous sommes arrivés dans notre nouvel hôtel, nous avons entièrement vidé et vérifié toutes nos affaires : valises, sacs, vêtements, poches... Nous n'avons absolument rien retrouvé. Le 9 juillet, lorsque nous sommes revenus séjourner dans cet hôtel (car notre réservation était déjà payée et confirmée), j'ai envoyé un message pour les informer que nous n'avions toujours pas retrouvé l'argent, toujours de manière neutre et respectueuse. Je n'ai reçu aucune réponse. Personne ne nous a ensuite demandé si l'argent avait finalement été retrouvé, ni cherché à faire un suivi de la situation. Je tiens à préciser que nous n'avons jamais accusé un membre du personnel. Nous souhaitions simplement signaler la disparition de cette somme et savoir si elle avait été retrouvée. En revanche, nous avons eu le sentiment d'être considérés comme des personnes qui accusaient injustement l'hôtel, ce qui a rendu la fin de notre séjour assez malaisante. L'argent a disparu et, à ce jour, nous n'avons toujours aucune explication.

Die Balkontür konnte wegen einem Kasten auf dem Balkon (Klimaanlage-Ventilation) nicht richtig geöffnet werden. Das Frühstück hat Potenzial nach oben, insbesondere der Kaffee.

No dispone de jarra eléctrica en la habitación ni tienen dispensador de agua caliente. Mala predisposición al mediodía del personal femenino para proporcionar agua caliente diciéndome que la maquina de café ya estaba apagada cuando no era verdad. El señor de recepcion me dio el agua caliente sin problemas. El horario de desayuno es hasta las 9 horas, dado que uno está de vacaciones, lo lógico es que sea como en la mayoría de los lugares hasta las 10 horas.

L’hôtel est un peu vétuste et mériterait une rénovation. Les câbles électriques de la prise alimentant la télévision et le réfrigérateur n’étaient pas correctement isolés et la prise ne fonctionnait pas. Le réceptionniste a essayé de résoudre le problème, mais il a reçu une décharge électrique. Une rallonge a finalement été installée sur une autre prise pour permettre l’utilisation des équipements. Par ailleurs, la peinture du plafond était écaillée, ce qui donnait à la chambre un aspect peu entretenu. Dans l’ensemble, des travaux de rénovation seraient nécessaires afin de rendre les chambres plus sûres, plus fonctionnelles et plus accueillantes.

Reviewed Jul 7, 2026Es un hotel muy céntrico, hacia casi esquina con una calle principal. Muy bien comunicado con paradas de autobuses cerca. La estación está a 20-25 minutos andando. Parece que lo lleva una familia de toda la vida y el check-in fue un poco lento pero fueron muy amables. El desayuno es correcto. La habitación era grande con techos altos y pinturas tal y como se ve en las fotos.

Se aude zgomot de pe stradă pentru că este o zonă centrală, însă se poate odihni și cineva care este mai sensibil la zgomot cu niște dopuri de urechi bune.

Reviewed Jul 2, 2026Per me è un ottimo hotel se si vuole alloggiare in centro a Catania. Lo staff è molto gentile e disponibile per le eventuali richieste che abbiamo avuto. La camera in cui alloggiavo era pulitissima e molto spaziosa (praticamente era un appartamento). Gli infissi sono abbastanza isolanti da rimuovere tutto il rumore proveniente dalle strade vicine e questo per me era molto importante. Infine, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo per il periodo. Ci tornerò sicuramente.

El colchón incómodo y las paredes de la habitación bastantes deteriorada aparte el servicio de limpieza empezaron hace mucho ruido desde muy temprano en la mañana lo cual fue muy imcomodo
