À la réservation nous avions choisi balcon vu sur mer ; à notre arrivée c’était une vue sur un pendant d’une forêt avec déchets (chaussures, sacs plastiques, papiers…). Environnement : très bruyant ; clients qui ne respectent pas ses voisins malgré le règlement et les affichages dans les couloirs (musique à fond et allers et venus à tout heure de la nuit).

Rooms were not cleaned , I’ve travelled allover the world and I’ve never smelt room like it , rudest reception staff I’ve ever come across. We was just talking in reception on arrival and the young blonde girl slammed her hands on the desk and shouted “stop been too loud “

The staff is friendly and my flight arrived around 10.45 so they let me do the check-in one hour earlier.

I didn't like the noise, there are a lot of young people so if you are looking to rest or perhaps safety in the night around 2.00 am is not the best place .

The location was super if your a party and beach loving. if you are finding a quite place, this is not the place you are looking. The beach is just 100 m downhill. And awesome clubs and party places 200 meters uphill. there are also plenty of food options there

however the apartment was average, but as per the number of rooms there are less bathroom or toilet, we were 4 adults and 2 kids staying at 1 apartment, there was just 1 bathroom and it was too difficult for 6 person to use just 1 bathroom for toilet and bath. Atleast one additional toilet room would have been fine. For this reason I would not book this apartment if going with bigger group, for smaller group it is fine. The parking is mostly road side, the apartment has the parking but it was full and the receptionist was too rude to convey this as if I have stolen her car and asking her for parking. You have to use the road side parking. There are enough place, but the crowd there is more than enough, so you hardly find the parking. it took me almost 45 minutes taking circles around the area with 1-way road to find the appropriate parking place. Even if you find, you have to be very skilled to park as the the road is downhill with parallel parking.

When we checked in, we were asked to provide a €100 cash deposit each. We were told that the hotel only accepted cash for the deposit, although they were able to take card payments for the city tax, which seemed inconsistent. We also purchased two small bottles of water, which cost €6.80. When I asked to pay by card, the receptionist told us there would be an additional €10 charge for using a card, which we found unreasonable. During check-in, one of us was asked to sign a document confirming we agreed to the hotel's policies. However, we were not given enough time to properly read the document before signing it. We were allocated a basement corner apartment that felt very unsafe. It was easily accessible from the street, with no visible security at night. Given that the property is located just off Albufeira's New Town Strip, this was particularly concerning for two young women travelling alone. The apartment was also not accessible for wheelchair users, as it could only be reached via a steep, narrow flight of triangular stairs, with no lift available. Inside the apartment, there was a strong smell of mould every time we returned, and it always felt unclean. At night, there were flies inside the room, and we constantly felt as though something was crawling on us while trying to sleep. Before checking out, we stripped the bed and discovered black mould on the mattress where we had been sleeping throughout our stay because of this we had both gotten really sick and had to both go to our doctors when we returned home. The check-out process was also unpleasant. We had to hand in our key card and wait with other departing guests while a cleaner inspected our room. After checking it, the cleaner returned to reception carrying a basket of our used towels and began shouting in Portuguese. The receptionist then informed us, in front of everyone, that €20 would be deducted from each of our deposits because of makeup stains on the towels, as they were unsure whether the stains could be removed. This felt extremely embarrassing and humiliating, especially as it was discussed publicly in front of other guests. Overall, I would not stay here again. I did not feel safe, particularly as a young woman travelling,Aside from one member of staff, we found the employees to be intimidating and unwelcoming. When we politely asked if a late check-out was possible, we were told no and then laughed at, which left a very poor impression and ended our stay on a disappointing note. Would not recommended this place at all, wouldn’t allow a dog to stay in it never mind a person. This intimates young women or any sort of young person for that matter I expected a lot more for the hard working money that had paid for this holiday!

When we checked in we were asked to give €100 each in cash only. The reception told us that they only take cash however they were able to take card for city tax. We asked for two small bottles of water and It was €6.80 when I asked if I could pay with card the receptionist told us that they would have to charge us €10 extra if we wanted to pay for the bottles of water with card. During check in we were asked if one of us could sign our name on a compliance with the policy’s document however, we did not get time to read the policy’s. They placed two young girls in a basement corner apartment that anyone off of the street would be able to walk into due to there being no security at night which made us feel unsafe because the location of the apartment is just off of albufeira new town strip. The apartment is not accessible for wheelchair users as it’s down a flight of narrow steep triangle stairs with no elevator present on the property. The apartment itself smelled like mould every time we came back and just felt dirty. At night the there was flies inside our apartment flying around and we constantly felt something crawling on us when trying to sleep. When we were leaving we stripped the bed before check out and put it into a wash basket just to find black mould on the bed where we were sleeping every night. During check out we had to give our key card and wait with other people who were also checking out for the cleaner to check and make sure our rooms were clean. When the cleaner came back from checking our room she brought a wash basket of our dirty towels to reception and started yelling in Portuguese while the receptionist was telling us because of the makeup on our towels we were told we had to give the hotel €20 each off of our deposit as they did not know if the makeup could be washed off of the towel. This felt like some form of public humiliation as it was done in front of other guests staying at the hotel. Overall I wouldn’t stay here again as I felt it was very unsafe for young women to stay there by themselves. Additionally all of the staff except one were intimidating as we had asked for a late check out and got told no and then got laughed at for asking.

So many bed experiences all rooms had cockroaches in one room counted 54 they killed, none of the rooms got cleaned throughout the stay and the contract stated they would, there were used underwear and condoms on the balcony and in communal areas and one person from the group had there passport and all there belongings stolen from there locked room resulting in them being stranded in Portugal and the staff at the hotel just dismissed it and ignored him.

Cockroaches, a break-in to a locked room, dismissive staff who laughed at us, and no towel/bedding changes for the entire stay. Not recommended unless you are purposely looking for a disappointing experience. WIPE YOUR FEET ON THE WAY OUT

Awful place to stay, a friend of mine had his room broken into and had everything stolen including a passport. Hotel staff didn't help in at all. Woke up multiple times each night due to a gang violence in the street. It all kicked off one night because a man in his 30s was asking for a fry up and wouldn’t stop asking. He quickly got removed but it woke up the whole hotel. Terrible stay, would not recommend to anyone. Although the beach is close, perfect for any rock hunters out there. Absolute dive of a place. Bed sheets were dirty on arrival, light fittings hanging from ceiling, questionable staining on lampshade, sofa, cushions and other furniture. In all honesty a turd on the floor would have brightened this dive of a place up. We had a few rooms between the group, One room counted 56 cockroaches that had to be executed. Another room got robbed, of his belongs and passport, meaning he’s had to stay out there till a temp passport document turns up. Told reception and they were as much use as a chocolate tea cosy. The grime didn’t stop in the rooms, around the accommodation there were splattered eggs, used condoms, underwear with bowel juice in. Id avoid this place like the UK border force avoid the beaches on England.

Awful hotel. Cockroaches and brake ins topped with staff who couldn’t find sand in a desert. Used condoms and smashed eggs everywhere. Only plus is you can get some serious body surfing in at the beach.

Horrid establishment. A friend had everything stolen from his room (passport, watch, money, clothes) he is now stuck here and the reception said “nothing we can do”, the only way into the room is with the keycard. Cockroaches everywhere and used condoms/dirty underwear thrown on the floor outside the door of the apartment. Noisy most nights and difficult to sleep. Only plus is that it’s close to the sea, would not recommend anyone to stay here. Sort of place you wipe your feet on the way out of rather than the way in.

A group of 14 of us stayed here and we would definitely come back! It was great hotel value for money. Perfect location staff was very kind and helpful. Clean basic rooms has everything you need

I think your opinion of this place depends very heavily on expectations, mine were low so I wasn’t in any way disappointed and would consider my experience to be a positive one. I was in town for a few days in a stag weekend so I basically just needed somewhere to rest my head. I had a studio apartment which consisted of a single bed (disguised as a sofa upon arrival) and another single bed stored underneath. It appeared to be made up, but I didn’t use it. The mattress wasn’t the best, but the room was clean, air conditioned and I was on the top floor so it was relatively quiet. Bathroom was small but had everything that I needed and I even had a small balcony with a view of the sea (I never actually went onto it, but it was nice to have it there) Location was good, but this again would depend on where you want to be. There is a 1min walk downhill to the beach with a bar / restaurant, and in the other direction you’re probably a five-ten min walk to one of the main nightlife areas, so plenty of food and drink options within easy reach and there always seemed to be plenty of tuk tuks close by if you didn’t fancy walking. All in all, I have no complaints but I would proceed with caution. It appeared to mainly be used by younger people on party holidays, but depending on your needs and budget, it could be all you need.

Stayed here with 3 friends all girls in the non-sea view 4 person apartment- 2 single beds in the bedroom and pull out sofa beds in kitchen area which were all comfy. We arrived very late at night and departed early morning, however there was a 24 hour reception so no problem. There was some outdoor noise from people walking past at night, but that’s expected being so close to the strip and I thought the rooms did block out some noise. The apartment was clean and just like photos, very good location by being very close to the beach, strip and supermarkets. Our room was on the bottom floor so not much privacy with people walking past when on the terrace as was by the road and we didn’t have outdoor furniture like some other rooms but could take the kitchen stools outside. We had our 100 euro deposit returned no problem, and receptionists were all friendly, one lady offered us chocolates each. We were given fresh towels and toilet roll on our second day. Although in a busy location, the apartment felt safe at night for us. We didn’t use the breakfast or pool facilities during our stay but the pool area looked clean as we walked past. The room was provided with shower gel, hand wash, washing up liquid, a sponge, cloth and suitable Tupperware and utensils. Overall, I would be happy to stay here again for its great location and clean facilities, good value for money.

Booked a stag do at Soldoiro expecting three days of chaos, questionable decisions, and waking up wondering why my bank account was crying. Instead, I discovered the greatest beds known to mankind. The lads headed out every day for the usual stag activities: bars, beach clubs, restaurants, and making memories. Meanwhile, I was busy making the most of what can only be described as a luxury hibernation chamber. The mattress was so comfortable that after a “quick 20-minute nap” on the first afternoon, I woke up sometime around breakfast the next day. By day two, I had accepted my fate and fully committed to the sleep schedule of a retired house cat. The boys came back each night with stories of adventures, wild nights, and near disasters. I contributed by telling them how I’d successfully reached the REM stage for the seventh time that day. At one point they checked I was still alive. I was. Just incredibly well-rested. So while the rest of the stag party returned home exhausted and needing a holiday to recover from their holiday, I returned feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and approximately 14 years younger. If you’re looking for nightlife, Albufeira has plenty. If you’re looking for the best sleep of your life, Soldeiro’s beds are the real attraction. Would absolutely stay again. Might even leave the room next time.

Both rooms were clean on arrival Didn’t use the pool or the breakfast facilities £100 deposit each, we followed the instructions in the room for check out, all linen and towels in washing basket and emptied the bins, no problems getting the deposit back We paid for a mystery holiday on Wowcher, we then paid extra for a certain type of room using travelodeal Would not recommend using them, complete cock up from start to finish, initially booked us nowhere near where we wanted to be and then kept adding more charges, an issue we will take up with the company

Péssimo início. - o alojamento em que ficámos tinha o microondas estragado e o wifi não funcionava, não tem telefone para a receção portanto liguei do meu, e disseram que é ‘normal’, portanto não havia internet. - pequeno almoço sem opções, sumos sem qualidade, sem água, sem fruta (só laranjas), havia apenas croissants e pouco mais, deixou muito a desejar - barulho: este é um local de festas, com muitos jovens que criam desacatos e por vezes com aspeto sujo, se procura um sitio para descansar e dormir sem barulhos noturnos de festa, este não é o lugar ideal, passei noites sem dormir por causa do barulho dos outros apartamentos

AVOID!!!! The apartment was full of COCKROACHES ( they usually hide when you turn on the lights and still we saw loads) We notified reception and left on our second night as they were even in our bags and the BED! We left at early hours of the morning, could not find alternative accommodation due to the time. And are still waiting for them to reply after making a formal complaint , sending pictures and explaining what happened. This was a week ago. The balcony door on the right hand side did not shut and our apartment was on the first floor so it was easy to climb up and enter. We told reception just after check in when we noticed and they said they would send someone the next morning. We could have had someone come in or even our things stolen. The apartment wasn't safe.

Recently stayed here with a large group and had a horrible experience. After two nights staying there our group and another got shouted at the manager for being too noisy and told us they would force us to sleep on the beach if we were noisy again which is highly unprofessional as if a complaint was raised to us prior we would have been receptive and been quieter. After this encounter we then the last night of our stay were quieter as we listened to our warning. Despite this at checkout we were told that there was another complaint from a staff member complaining we were being noisy that night and that our full deposit was not to be given back. After some back and forth we eventually got half back (which we didn’t argue with if as we knew we were too noisy the first two nights). At checkout as well they charged another room in our group €29 for two stained towels one was stained with a drink and the other with mud which is quite a common stain. After we found this out we spoke to another party checking out and they had said they had ripped towels and weren’t charged. But what was even worse the other room in our group deposited €100 and only got 90 back to which reception claimed they only deposited 90. They’ve clearly seen a group of mostly younger women and taken advantage of us.

Awful experience. From the start it felt like the hotel had a vendetta against our group. After our second night we received an aggressive noise warning, where the manager banged our door down in the morning and shouted at us in reception. This could have easily been resolved at the time, staff could have knocked on our door instead of apparently filming us without our knowledge or consent. At check-out they kept €400 of our deposit, claiming we were noisy on our final night. This was completely false. We were extremely careful after the first warning, yet they provided no evidence and refused to consider that the noise may have come from other guests around the pool who had woken us up. Another room lost part of their deposit over dirt on a towel, which seemed excessive. To make matters worse, one member of our group was only given €90 of her €100 deposit back because staff claimed she had only paid €90 at check-in and ‘stole’ it from the desk. Ridiculous, refusing to let us look at the cctv therefore once again no proof. The whole thing felt like a money-making scheme. We left feeling unfairly targeted and would not recommend staying here.

This behaviour was completely unprofessional and intimidating. The hotel itself is located at the end of the strip in an extremely noisy area, yet we were blamed for excessive noise without any proof and accused of things that were not us. Despite being given a warning, we tried to be respectful and cooperative, but staff were rude, hostile and unhelpful throughout our stay. There were also basic issues with the room, such as not being provided with enough toilet roll, and members in our group were charged money over something as minor as a dirty towel. It felt like the hotel was constantly looking for reasons to take money from us rather than provide good service. Overall, the atmosphere was unpleasant and stressful, and we felt unfairly treated throughout our stay. I would not recommend this hotel, especially to young travellers, due to the staff’s attitude and the way guests are spoken to and threatened.

It was close to the main area of Albuferia which made it easy to walk to places.

It was very noisy at night time from 10:00pm-6:00am every night, some nights were worser than others so we barely slept. Maybe sound proof walls would help? Or as the noise was from the same group of men shouting every night I’m surprised complaints wasn’t made from this or the person on reception dealing with it as for sure they would of heard the noise all night too.

The staff were miserable. We wasn't allowed to take water round the pool. The room that was advertised to sleep 2 people was a L- shape sofa, no beds or bedroom. There were charges for bedding and towel changes.

The hotel was in an ideal area for the night life and beach that’s the positive out the way, the pool was getting filled a hose pipe, extremely cold, concrete slabs to sit on in the rooms, it’s like a maze to find the rooms, room wasn’t cleaned once, safes had no locks a lot of stairs, all concrete, breakfast horrendous practically non existent, everyone had to pay €100 each in cash, given back once rooms were fully checked, on a hill, avoid if any mobility problems Overall a hotel to avoid

If you want a quiet holiday this complex is not for you. Caters for hens and stag do's. They were at the pool all day, rowdy. I felt uncomfortable being a woman on my own.

If you want a cheap base only for stag/hen do’s for only a couple of hours sleep and don’t wash frequently this is the place to be - straight onto the strip and beach, location is literally the only good thing about the place. I don’t blame them for charging a security deposit sadly most people who go there couldn’t care less about being respectful, HOWEVER, take a card payment to protect both parties! Cash only is a joke, I think we only received ours back, ( other than the fact it was cleaner than when we arrived ) was because we took pictures before and demanded a receipt! A toenail was stuck in the wall and one of the wardrobes stunk of urine where some desirable clearly forgot where the toilet was! Can’t complain about the noise that’s what was expected, so if you want a quiet night definitely not for you. Staff were as helpful as a stubbed toe, we asked several times for clean towels, judging by the comments they rely on not changing them so they can use that as an excuse not to return deposit! They were rude from the start, but they did book us a 4 seater taxi for 5 of us so that was super helpful!!! Moral of the story is it’s cheap and stay if you want to be close to the beach and new town, can ignore the cleanliness and go out smelling like you’ve had a wee shower this is spot on for you, for us I wouldn’t return even if you paid me!

The studio apartment is tiny, and the balcony is a waste of time. I know the resort is well known for stags etc. So I knew what to expect but having a few lads at the pool singing sectarian songs and blaring rangers songs is a bit far for grown men time to move on lads.

Het zit vlak aan het strand, er is een kookgelegenheid met pannen en je krijgt schoonmaakmiddel met een sponsje van het hotel. Als de bedden niet zo vochtig waren hadden ze opzich prima geweest.

De airco was smerig dus niet gebruikt. Het was erg vochtig, alle ramen waren beslagen smorgens, er vielen zelfs vieze bruine druppels van het plafond, de bedden voelden vochtig aan dus we moesten elke dag de ramen openhouden. Wij hadden ook een appartement op de bovenste verdieping gekregen maar er is geen lift dus met de kinderwagen, kind en spullen elke dag zeulen. Het ontbijt is elke dag oud en erg beperkt terwijl we altijd vroeg waren.

Near to the beach stayed hear a few times now great location, no good if your bad on your legs it’s a steep hill to calm to get on main road for buses. We had a car no problem.

La ubicación es lo mejor todo muy cerca. La atención bien Las instalaciones están bien.

Cuando cogí la reserva ponía vistas al mar y lo que veía era una pedazo de casa que no solo veía eso. La televisión no funciona.

Great room it is basic but all what you need we did have an issue with our air conditioning unit which was sorted no more then 10 mins after reporting though shame the maintenance man left before we could thank him. Towels changed every 2 days and staff friendly we had top floor with sea view with table and chairs for balcony my only down side was we were there when a large group of youngsters who were noisy all night and they over took the pool area so only got to use the pool once they had gone home but other then that it was perfect beach a small walk down the hill with a nice bar/restaurant and 10 mins walk to the strip about a half hour walk to the old town. I look forward to coming back

Die Lage war sehr schön mit Meerblick. Die Wohnung war groß und hatte zwei Bäder.

Das Appartment war sehr ausgekühlt und feucht. Es roch sehr stark nach Fäkalien aus dem Abfluss in der ganzen Wohnung. Die Heizung, Klimaanlage hat einen halben Tag gebraucht, ehe es warm wurde. Mich hat vor allem gestört, dass es keine richtige Sitzgelegenheit gab. Das Frühstück war eher mager bis sachlich. Es war fast alles da, aber der Service war so, dass man zur Rezeption gehrn musste und fragen, wenn etwas fehlte. Die Bäder waren sehr einfach ausgestattet und man musdte 5 bis 10 Minuten das Wasser laufen lassen bis hrißes Wasser kam.

First few nights there were a couple of noisy groups that were partying until around 5am. But once they left it was nice and peaceful.

Das Frühstück war nicht sehr gut. Brötchen und Beläge waren ausreichend, jedoch der saftspender und der Kaffeeautomat war so dreckig und verkalkt das es unnutzbar war. Im Pool schwamm ein riesen Sonnenschirm . Es war so hellhörig als gäbe es keine Wände. Leider hatte unser Nachbar von oben anscheinend eine Blasenenzündung und wir im halbstündigen takt Angst das die Rohre platzen

The antiquated rooms

The apartment was, as last year, clean, tidy and well equipped. The towels were replaced every couple of days and the beds were changed twice although it was only a 15 night stay. The only problem we had was with the micro wave and it was replaced with a brand new one within just a few hours of it being reported to reception

The location on the corner of the building with a rather limited patio and right over a very busy noisy street. There was also very noisy building work going on both behind and alongside the accommodation.

My view exceeded my expectations.only a short walk to the beach and a very good supermarket 5 minutes away. Restaurants are plentiful as are the sport bars.

The first room that we were put in did not have heating, had cockroaches on the wall and in the kitchen were those with any mobility issues. The second room we moved to the bed was extremely uncomfortable. It’s almost like a hole in the mattress that you sunk into pillows were awful and the cleaning ladies threw dirty water from the upstairs apartment down onto our apartment which splashed all over my husband‘s coffee and chair while we were sitting outside . The hotel is located on a very steep pill.

Housekeeping staff were lovely, they were always asking if we needed extra towels etc, and the apartment was spotless. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well equipped and had everything necessary for basic cooking. We went in February and it was quiet. The apartment is very close to the sea and within a short walk away from Intermarchè, Aldi and local bars/restaurants. Albufiera is also close by and walkable in about 30 mins.

As other reviews have mentioned, I think the experience at Soldoiro depends very much on what time of year you go. Out of season, it's quiet but I imagine in the summer it would be a whole different thing as the apartments would be full and all the bars and clubs open nearby, so if you're looking for a party it would be great. If you're looking for peace and quiet during the summer months then avoid!

A very well run small hotel with lovely small apartments - lots of kitchen facilities very clean friendly reception and just four minutes from a beautiful beach if you walk very slowly!! I went off season and would come again high season because it has everything you need. It's a three star hotel with a five star attitude in terms of service kindness and the facilities it offers for those three stars - well over and above the standard. I would imagine in the summer it's a while away from noisy riotous crowds(!) as it was a 20 minute, delightful walk, into the centre of the town. Despite the recent bad weather the beach was in excellent condition sandy, long and stunningly beautiful.

The location, the vibes and the price

Toilet roll/ papers are limited for one pc. only for 2 nights stay with 4 ladies who are booked to stay there. Its not enough for us. It says toletries, toilet tissue etc…. are included but why its one tissue roll was provided

Do not come to this hotel! Me and my friend booked through wowcher, we have not been given the correct room. So we have to share a sofa bed, the guy at reception has told us he can not do anything and the hotel fully booked. We had no hot water when we arrived and was told nothing can be done until Monday?? Do not book it is awful, no one knows what they are doing, hotel is unclean. Waste of money
