The pool area was perfect to chill out

This was a special trip for my hen party, with a group of 24 people, and unfortunately the experience we received fell far below what we reasonably expected from your accommodation. Before travelling, I contacted the hotel regarding our group and specifically asked whether we could be accommodated together. I was reassured by email that this would be accommodated. Despite this, we were separated on arrival and throughout our stay. Check-in and luggage We were told that check-in was from 4pm. However, after arriving, we were left waiting for approximately three hours without access to our rooms. Even more frustratingly, we were not allowed access to our own luggage while waiting. This left 24 people sitting around for hours without access to their belongings. This was an unacceptable start to what was supposed to be a special occasion. Our group being separated Despite having contacted the hotel in advance and receiving reassurance that our group would be accommodated together, we were given rooms in different areas and effectively split up. We were also given different-coloured wristbands, which then prevented members of our own group from using certain pool areas together. This made absolutely no sense when the purpose of our booking was to celebrate together as a group. What made matters worse was that we saw guests wearing the same-coloured wristbands as us in the pool that we had specifically been told to leave. Treatment by staff and security The treatment we received from some members of staff was extremely disappointing. We were told that Dutch guests were allowed to remain in an area but English/British guests were not, and that we had to leave. At the time, we were simply lying in the sun and were not causing any disturbance or excessive noise. We also found the reception staff to be extremely rude, dismissive and unhelpful when we attempted to resolve the issues. The security staff around the pool were particularly unpleasant. Members of security repeatedly approached and followed our group around the hotel, despite us simply going about our holiday and not causing trouble. We felt as though our group was being singled out and targeted throughout our stay. Security should make guests feel safe and comfortable. Instead, we felt intimidated and harassed. Housekeeping, towels and basic hygiene We were also extremely disappointed with the lack of housekeeping. Our rooms were not cleaned, and when we requested fresh towels and toilet roll, we were refused basic supplies. We were then told that we would have to pay for fresh towels. Regardless of any policy regarding pool towels, we are referring here to basic room hygiene and the provision of essential bathroom supplies. Being refused fresh towels and toilet roll during our stay was unacceptable. Overall experience This was supposed to be a memorable and enjoyable hen party. Instead, a significant amount of our stay was spent dealing with reception, security and issues surrounding our rooms, wristbands and access to facilities. We were promised in advance that our group could be accommodated together, yet this was not honoured. We were then subjected to inconsistent rules, rude treatment and repeated approaches from security. It is particularly disappointing because your own website describes Quinta Pedra dos Bicos as a place where guests can enjoy a relaxing stay and make the most of the swimming pools and surrounding facilities. (Quinta Pedra dos Bicos) Our experience was very different.
It was good location, central to the strip and shops etc.
The staff were rude, the apartments were not cleaned, the apartment had ants in the kitchen and the bedroom wardrobe and your only aloud at certain pools as well.
Apartments are huge, cleaned regularly and having use of the pools is a great bonus considering the price.
Nothing
This is a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities. The pool area is clean, well maintained and has the potential to be a wonderfully relaxing place to spend the day. Most of the staff we encountered were friendly, welcoming and professional, and the hotel itself deserves a great deal of praise. Unfortunately, the behaviour of some of the pool attendants significantly detracted from what was otherwise an excellent experience. I fully appreciate that enforcing safety rules is part of their job, and I have absolutely no issue with staff ensuring guests behave responsibly. However, there is a clear difference between firm, professional enforcement and an unnecessarily confrontational approach. During our stay, I witnessed several occasions where younger groups appeared to be singled out and spoken to in an aggressive manner, even when the situations seemed relatively minor. Rather than calmly managing situations, the approach often appeared to escalate them, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere around the pool. One interaction particularly concerned me. My son-in-law politely asked why the approach was quite so aggressive, and the response he received was: "You are on your last warning, and I have your room number." We found this response unnecessarily intimidating and completely disproportionate to a polite question. It was not the standard of customer service we expected from a hotel of this quality. This is a great hotel, and it's a shame that the conduct of a small number of pool attendants overshadowed what was otherwise a very enjoyable stay. I hope management reviews the customer service approach taken around the pool, as the facilities deserve staff who can enforce the rules firmly, fairly and respectfully, without creating an atmosphere of confrontation. We would happily return because the hotel has so much to offer, but I sincerely hope this issue is addressed.
I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this hotel. I booked our stay nine months in advance for a group of seven after hearing positive recommendations from friends who had stayed here previously. Unfortunately, the problems began immediately after booking. My reservation repeatedly showed only three adults instead of the seven guests I had requested. I contacted the hotel numerous times to query this, and on every occasion I was reassured by staff that everything was correct and there was nothing to worry about. We later made a minor amendment to our booking, changing our travel dates while keeping the total length of our stay the same. After this change, I was unable to obtain an updated confirmation email despite multiple attempts. When I eventually received it, the reservation still incorrectly showed only three adults. Frustrated, I contacted the hotel again two days before our arrival, only to be told for the first time that the apartment could accommodate only six guests, not seven, despite having been repeatedly assured over several months that the booking was correct. To make matters worse, we were informed that accommodating the seventh guest would cost an additional €583. I found it completely unacceptable to be asked to pay such a substantial amount just two days before our holiday because of an error that had been repeatedly brought to the hotel’s attention. We tried to discuss the situation and asked whether they could reduce or waive the additional charge given the circumstances, but no reasonable solution was offered. The only reason I have given this review one star is because the apartment itself was comfortable and reasonably clean. However, even this was overshadowed by the presence of ants and a few cockroaches during our stay. I would also like to mention Cora at Quinta Pedra dos Bicos, whose handling of this situation was disappointing. At no point did I feel that any genuine effort was made to resolve an issue that stemmed from the hotel’s own booking errors. The lack of communication, accountability, and customer service turned what should have been a relaxing holiday into an unnecessarily stressful experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a smooth, stress-free holiday.
The pool and pool were very nice and apartment was quite modern
Balcony doors didn’t shut properly so didn’t feel to secure as the door wouldn’t lock
This hotel was a pleasant surprise. We had read some terrible reviews before arriving, but our experience couldn’t have been more different. The location was excellent—just a 10-minute walk from the Strip, meaning we could enjoy all the nightlife while avoiding the noise when it was time to sleep. The beach was also only a short walk away, making it the perfect base for our holiday. The rooms met our expectations, with very comfortable beds, plenty of space, and all the essential facilities working properly. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our stay, and we weren’t disturbed by noise at night at all. Their was 3 pools located around the accommodation with our apartment block containing a private pool which was lovely , we were presented with 2 balcony’s too one with a slight ocean view. There were only a couple of minor downsides. You have to pay to have your towels washed, as there isn’t a washing machine available for guests. Also, while there isn’t an oven, there is a hob, which was still useful for basic cooking. Some amenities were broken such as the handle to our window ,the lightbulb was burst and one of the AC remotes didn’t work , but these did not directly effect our stay whatsoever As a group of 18-year-olds going on our post exam holiday , we were worried that we might be treated differently or asked to pay a large security deposit. However, from the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel completely at ease with their warm and welcoming attitude. We felt respected throughout our stay and had a fantastic experience. We’d happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to others.
Close to the beach
Aircon never worked all day and night and we had to sleep in 30 degrees temperature Shower stall holder was broken so couldn’t have a proper shower Toilet seat was chipped All towels were dirty No toilet roll holder Obviously cleaning was very shoddy No provision of coffee or dishwashing liquid
Wow what a magical place, the staff are beyond friendly, especially Cora, on reception who went above and beyond to make our stay absolutely memorable, nothing was too much trouble, the apartments were clean, comfortable and most importantly cool, the pools were lovely and the location was great. We have already booked again for next year! We didn’t venture to other pools so can’t comment on them, however were given wrists bands for if we wanted to.
Ruime kamers, fijn zwembad en goede locatie.
Very lovely hotel, the apartment was clean and modern. We did have one issue with the hob but it was changed the next day and staff were very friendly. Great location from the strip, around a 4min walk.

The location was perfect, the beach was 5-10 minutes walk and shops were every where. The children loved the pool and the bar area was easy to access. Staff were wonderful and everything was clean. We were also offered room clean each day of being there which was not needed but we valued the thought. When we needed help the staff was a call away and they tended to our needs . It was even more convenient that they had an ATM at hand in the lobby which was free. We will definitely be coming back.
Great location clean
The security round the pool are the angriest people in the world. It’s actually funny how angry they are
This was our third time staying at this hotel. We requested the apartment that we stayed in last year and the staff where so kind to honour our request, all the staff are so friendly and speak very good English. The apartment has 2 large bedrooms ( the beds are so comfortable )with the bedroom nearest the bathroom having a large balcony with a view overlooking the sea and children's pool The apartment is well equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. The location is amazing, ideally situated with plenty of bars and restaurants close by, a big shout out to Eddys bar across from the hotel, the food is amazing ( English menu ) Carlos the owner has become a friend over the past couple of years and looks after us every time we visit, Natalia the cook is so lovely and welcome's us with a lovely hug every time we go in. We honestly can't say enough about staying in this hotel, we have recommend it to lot's of our friends and family, as well as people we have met along the way. Until the next time Quinta pedra dos bicos adios we will be back ❤️
Nothing, everything was spot on.
We arrived at the hotel in a Friday night as a family of 5 adults and 1 child (6) Check in was slow and we had to ask for safes etc ad these were not offered to us. This is a huge complex and the apartments are in separate buildings away from the hotel itself. We were given 2 rooms in Lote 1 this faces the main road opposite a hotel with bars and restaurants nearby. Underneath the apartments are a Chinese Restaurant, chemist, tour shop and a gift shop also scooter hire. The first room was on floor 1 apartment I This was a huge apartment with a sofa (this didn’t convert) a single bed, dining table and nice furniture. Next to this was a good self contained kitchen including a washer and a dishwasher even though detergent and tablets were not included these can easy be purchased if needed. Next to this was a bed with 2 single beds pushed together, built in wardrobes, safe and plenty of drawers. The bathroom was spacious with a shower over a bath. There was also plenty of hot water and a great shower. In the cabinet was a first aid kit and a hairdryer. In the hall section there was a further wardrobe and drawers. Overall plenty of storage for clothes etc. There was an air con unit in both the living area and the bedroom which was amazing and quiet. My only gripe was there was only 1 mirror and this was located in the bathroom. There was a huge balcony that stretched across the full apartment. The second room was on floor 3 apartment E This was similar to the other but the sofa opened up into 2 single beds and had a larger TV The first couple of nights there was a lot of noise from surrounding apartments which made it difficult to sleep it sounded like they were moving the furniture around constantly. Then there was the music from the Hangover Bar across the road which would play into the late hours. Out daughter and partner with their son asked the hotel if they could move rooms due to the noise. They were given a 3 floored apartment in a different building which slept 8 with 3 bedrooms. The problem with this was as it was amongst large groups and the noise was the same with them coming in at all hours shouting and playing music. There was 2 pools that were available to use 1 being the main pool with a bar etc this was always so busy. The 2nd pool was ideal for young families but there was no toilet facilities, so a trip to reception was required for the loo. This hotel is not good for families with small children as it attracts large parties due to the larger apartments
I chose this as I thought hotel by pics wish I hadve read reviews before booking. I booked with easyjet 4 nights got there very late in the evening around 11pm our flight came in at just after 9 we had trouble finding our transport which was part of package then 15 mins into an hour long journey to hotel the driver was told to turn back to airport to awaken his work colleague who had fell asleep in his minibus and passengers were waiting on him. So this added to our travel time everyone so tired. Got to hotel told we were in apartments block 1 2nd floor the terrace didn't get the sun anytime of day or evening had to walk back to street hotel is in to get to pool so not onside as I thought. We were there 4 days before getting clean towels and had to email easyjet customer service because I asked the hotel 4 tomes to no avail. Couldn't sleep at night because of noise from clubs pubs and bars across from apartments also the light showing through curtains I wear hearing aids and the noise kept me awake all night . The view when you go out on terrace in the morning is of the pool and hotel across the road which looked beautiful. The lock on the door was very hard to open or lock drug dealers also hang about round the apartments in the evening noise also from traffic and motor bikes I could go on and on but not the place for me returned home exthausted . I did inform easyjet said nothing they could do but eventually got clean towels 4th night was going home 6 next morning. Cheers easyjet.
Zwembad plus ligging
Kon weinig doen in de keuken
tres bien
mais il ne manque qu'un lave vaisselle à 7 ce serait bien
Having just returned from from a 10 day holiday Any one booking this place as a family holiday. I really would think twice about it. We needed two rooms that were close together As it was family with 2 children ages 7 and 10, and grand parents. There are 18 blocks in this complex. We were placed in block 1. Nicknamed the prison block. Over the Chinese restaurant. One of the worse experiences of any holiday we have been on. These apartments. Are full of stag and hen. Groups. Or. Gangs of middle age men. Language. And being sick. Not once. Loads of times. Complained every night due to lack of sleep with children. The youngest was a bit frightened due to, the noise. We eventually got moved after day 6. When we say stag groups. It’s groups of any number. Totally took over the pool even the children’s pool. At the main pool It could be a very nice place. If they put the big groups in certain blocks. Another downer. Dealers driving round the complex
The apartment rooms were clean and comfortable, and we were impressed with how nice they were.
Short walk to the strip, but the rooms were a very high standard
The relaxed atmosphere, great food and drink and good location
The only negative unfortunately was the sometimes aggressive attitude of the pool Security and ni life guard
Only Disappointment on the Holiday was we didn’t get checked in until 15:45 on the day we arrived. We booked the 2 Bedroom Apartment and there was enough space for the 4 of us. Spotlessly clean and plenty of bedding changes and towel changes during the 7 Night stay. Bits of ambient noise during the evening into the early hours but nothing that was excessive. Close to the strip but also close to Aldi. Turn right out of the hotel for a quieter life and Turn left for the noisy strip. Beaches close by and plenty of bars and restaurants to eat.
Arrived mid morning, check in is 4pm. They store luggage but they take it off you and give you a ticket to collect, so definitely have poolside items ready at hand if you want to enjoy your 1st day on site. Check in was easy and staff very pleasant. Room was ready early at 2pm so that was a bonus until we got to it! It was awful to be honest. I knew the whole place wasn't modernised but I mean this was from the stone age bath looked dirty, toilet seat didn't fit and the lounge area is weird no air con, only on the bedroom whichbJet2 does not stipulate. Grounds OK, but someone vomited outside my block and ot was just left for the remainder of my stay. Was also work going on, on the neighbouring block for the entire week which was very noisy starting at 8am. I thought the pool area was lovely and quiet, until Thursday arrived along with hundreds of groups of males. Who of course couldn't check in so made full use of the pool bar which btw is extortionate 11 euros for 2 small beers in plastic cups. The security man is ride I know what orecious reviews mean. He pretends he is monitoring the pool, but he really isn't and one male in one of thee groups dived I to the shallow end of the pool, I could see it happening and was almost sick when it did, luckily he just had a rather large bump but it could have been so much worse and there were a few other near misses. I could barely relax for fear of someone really injuring themselves. I know it might seem common sense but there is no signs warning no diving until a certain point and since they're selling copious amounts of alcohol to large groups all too ready to show off it is a serious accident waiting to happen. Location is OK if you want the strip which is about a 10 min walk away there isn't really anything much else next to the hotel unless yiu want burgers, pizzas and English vibes. Old town is a 50 minute walk and under 5 euros in a taxi (recommend taxis, the walk is a bit of a killer). For a lads or lasses cheap weekend away this place is probably fine, but I don't think I'd return. Oh also our block the maids were not turning up until 4pm a time I think is a bit rubbish as it's generally when people are in their room taking a nap or getting ready for the evening. Expect noise through the night on a weekend too. Especially of you end up with a full hen party occupying the other rooms on your block.
Lifeguard who thinks he’s the most powerful man in Portugal ruins the pool experience. Fair enough if theres rules in place to stop balls/floats etc and he enforces them but keeping balls he’s confiscated as trophies is a representation of his condescending demeanour to guests of the hotel. Not only does he speak to all guest in an aggressive manner with full intent to intimidate but looks for a reason to show the power he feels. I would hate to think I was bringing childen or my wife here. Apartments are nice but all the work done by the hotel and staff is tarnished through the poor conduct of the life guard.
Location.
Room was not as advertised. Very dark and dingy. No full length mirror. Extremely noisy. Weird room layouts. Pool bar took forever to get a drink and there’s not enough loungers.
Peaceful but close to all the bar’s & restaurants! Great value for money & large apartment
Check in was a bit chaotic
The apartments are ideal, location is perfect walking distance to a beautiful beach, close to restaurants and shops. Shout out to reception that checked us in it was really busy and they were great got us into apartments early
One of the apartments in our group booking had issues with the toilet not flushing they fixed it but it was an issue that happened more than once
Perfekt alles abgelaufen so wie mann sichs vorstellt. Nähe Strand einfach perfekt.
.
Taking a 40 euro deposit then not transferring it back to me (keep saying it’s been processed and will be with me soon but 2 weeks later still nothing).
Great location. Spacious rooms. Very clean!
Keys are physical keys. When with a group of friends it maybe better as a key card or on the wrist bands.
The accommodation was amaaaaazing!!!!!!!! It was all so clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. An extra thank you for providing an oven and washing machine it was a real bonus!!
Very nice apartments great value for money
Nothing much just the fella round the pool is a bit grumpy runs about very angry looking over silly things
Ubicación e instalaciones
Clean and well equipped apartment which was spacious
Nothing
Door was broken, they fixed it very quickly
The property was clean and well equipped. It was spacious. It had a central location
Nothing
Clean and modern
No outside space in our property.
Was in a great location, Nice pool too was perfect stay for our stag group
Had nothing to complain about during our stay
Good location , rooms very big and had everything we needed in it and more for our stay
I recently stayed here with a group of 15 ladies to celebrate a hen weekend. We were allocated four apartments across at Lot 1 right across the road, which had all the amenities you would expect for self catering apartments. The apartments were also very clean, spacious and well laid out. In terms of deposits we were charged 30euro per room, not the 250 per person however I guess that depends on your behaviours checking in perhaps, we were a group of varying ages from 30 to 60s. We did not experience anything but gracious staff or have any issues throughout our stay. I left an expensive hairdryer behind and realised when I got home. I contacted the hotel who advised they had found it, and offered to post it back to me. They did this, send me the tracking number and trusted me to settle the cost of return which of course it did. Not a lot of places would do this for past guests so for this alone they deserve 5 stars for service. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to Quinta pedra dos becos, maybe next time to the hotel for a family holiday
Apartment was clean, comfy and modern. Staff (both in reception, cleaners and at the pool) were brilliant and very helpful when needed. Good location - restaurants and bars within walking distance, beach less than 5 minutes. For the price, 2-bedroom apartment was excellent.
Could be noisy with other groups entering/exiting the buildings. There was no lift to upstairs floor which wasn’t an issue for us but worth being aware of.
Great location, friendly staff.
As we were a group of 12, it would have been nice to be located close to each other, we had a 5 minute walk to meet some of our friends.
Location was ideal for everything we wanted. The accommodation was clean and reasonably modern. All required kitchen items available.
The wardrobe in the second bedroom smelled musty and had a distinct urine odour, to the point that no clothes could go in there and the spare blanket and pillow could not be used. Bath towels are very small, take your own if you like to wrap yourself in them to move from bathroom to bedroom, as no privacy will be obtained.
Everything and the location.
Nothing we didn't like.
Great location and very clean room. Comfortable bed and nice having the separate kitchen area with sitting room
Heated pool would have been nice
Estupendo
Todo genial
Location
It was all good
Another amazing stay at quinta pedra, been coming here for years & will continue to return. Rooms are spotlessly cleaned (tad dated) but doesn't concern us. Pool area amazing & such a relaxing place. Staff so understanding with any issues & are so friendly 😀
Everything about our stay apart from the rain lol
The rain
Very good location to the beach, clean, superb staff
I didn’t like the beds being 2 singles pushed together
I read most of the reviews of this place before booking on trip advisor and I couldn’t work out why it was so varied in opinion, then I got there and totally understood! First of all, if you want to lounge by the pool, don’t get an apartment it’s not poolside, you need to cross the main street to get into the hotel area, get a hotel room! For what you paid for, this is satisfactory (I don’t think I’ve ever been in an apartment abroad with an integrated dishwasher and washing machine ha). The rooms are spacious; the housekeepers kept the apartment nice and clean. The staff had good communication, they rang you when your room was ready at check in (4pm). But there are snags so if you’re pernickety it’ll annoy you, eg for every 3 lightbulbs in the room, 1 doesn’t work. The door handles are temperamental. In summary, this place has so much potential, the location is good and it’s functional for a little impulsive break away but I would recommend going hotel rather than apartment if I was going back again, just so I don’t have to listen to the hotel across the road crucifying ‘sweet Caroline’ every night; you’ll get a pool as well!
Ideal for group holiday
All was great
Apartment was spotless and plenty of room
Only 1 small pool to service to whole hotel & apartments
Liked the location, close to beach and good restaurants. Modern comfort apartments. Clean pool area
Nice big rooms , plenty space for group of 5, clean and comfortable beds. In a nice location close to the beach . Fabulous staff very friendly and very helpful
No washing machine
Always stay here in the winter and always find the apartments OK. Cleaning is done regularly, towels and bedding changed often. Reception staff pleasant and helpful and do their best to meet our requirements.
Our 2-bedroom apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had a well-equipped kitchenette which was perfect for breakfasts and light meals. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the apartments are large, clean, and well-maintained, with daily housekeeping and regular changes of towels and bedding. We had a fantastic stay at the Quinta Pedra Dos Bicos in late 2025. The location is truly a highlight—just a few minutes' walk from the beautiful beach and close enough to the shops and the 'strip' for convenience, but far enough away to be quiet (mostly!).
Excelente localização! Staff 5 estrelas
Tudo perfeito, nada a apontar negativamente.
Very nice staff in general. Very accommodating, comfortable, really clean, well equipped facilities Etc. Perfect location for my group.. Stunning garden pool.
-The pool wasn't heated. -Our electricity went off in the middle of the night which made our food from the fridge go off + was really uncomfortable to get around E.G. go to the bathroom, take a drink Etc - The hotel staff (other management) were being rude to us, not letting us use the hotel facilities.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment with bathroom, kitchen and living area. The shower was over bath but the water pressure was fantastic and had plenty of hot water. The bedroom was large size and had 2 single beds and 2 lockers. The wardrobe had plenty of hangers and spare pillows and covers. There was air conditioning in the bedroom. The staff were lovely and particularly Lena and Gina from reception.
Cama um pouco mole de mais.
Not a four stars place, we had an apartment with kitchen fridge. The furniture were very uncomfortable and there was no heating in the room. We had to get a heater and put it in the room or put it in the kitchen. It was very cold and humid. The pool were not heated and was very cold. The mattress was very old and there was like a hole in the middle. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
