I found the breakfast room a little enclosed and lacking fresh air, and the breakfast selection didn’t quite meet expectations. The fruit wasn’t fully ripe, and the choices were limited. A few simple additions — fresh local bread, a small fruit salad, boiled eggs, or even the option to enjoy a pastry and coffee on the bar terrace outside would have been nice . And the bar absolutely gorgeous but sadly closed, which was a real pity.

Reviewed Sep 13, 2026This Hotel is right in the middle of the old town and has that rustic Italian feel about it. It’s a pleasant place to relax with a 25 minute train into Rome, if you need to be in the hustle and bustle of city life. All of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. There is an abundance of places to eat out around the Hotel. This little gem of a place is also not overloaded with tourists, and we look forward to returning to the Colonna Hotel for another break in the near future.
We were a little disappointed that the bar was closed for some reason in the Hotel, but it wasn’t the end of the world, due to the surrounding establishments.

Reviewed Sep 7, 2026Great location in the center of Frascati. The room had plenty of space for a solo traveler. The furniture is good and the presence of many paintings is pleasant. The staff is very friendly and satisfied all our requests.
The breakfast could have been better. It was kind of lacking in terms of salty food, and the sweet pastries didn't have a great variety. The free WiFi works well but has a web-based authentication flow that requires re-authentication from time to time, which can be annoying.

Climatizzazione centralizzata, non gestibile autonomamente (il che crea qualche disagio). Colazione di qualità e quantità sufficiente per la parte dolce, insufficiente per la parte salata. Manca l'ascensore, per me non è stato un problema ma può esserlo per altri ospiti. Chiusura della porta della camera un po' difficoltosa

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026This was a fantastic place to stay. We made our decision to stay here after reading the reviews, and we are so glad we did. From going above and beyond by accommodating us after a long flight, to being greeted in the morning from their lovely baristas while preparing our morning coffee, our stay here was just next level. Rooms were very clean and staff were friendly. Breakfast was great and again the staff were fantastic. Also, you can sit on the patio and enjoy an aperitivo before dinner, that the local bartender can prepare to your liking. This is a prime location, walking distance to whatever you need. We will definitely want to stay here again.

Reviewed Aug 13, 2026Nous avons passé un séjour vraiment très agréable à l'hôtel Colonna. L’ambiance chaleureuse du lieu, ainsi que l’accueil des propriétaires, toujours aimables et disponibles ont été un point important. Leurs conseils nous ont été très précieux tout au long du séjour comme laisser la voiture au métro Anagnina pour rejoindre Rome. Cela nous a permis de visiter Rome très facilement et avec beaucoup de flexibilité, tout en profitant le soir du calme et du charme de Frascati, avec une température nettement plus agréable qu’à Rome. Et Frascati est vraiment un point de chute idéal: Rome est bien sûr incontournable, mais tous les Castelli Romani méritent également d’être découverts. La région est magnifique et offre énormément de choses à voir. Un grand merci aux propriétaires pour leur accueil, leur gentillesse et tous leurs précieux conseils, qui ont largement contribué à rendre notre séjour aussi agréable. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

Da entrada, do quarto, do banheiro. Não gostamos de nada.

When we arrived, we were told that the elevator was broken, but no one informed us about it in advance. The air conditioning barely worked, making the room very uncomfortable. Housekeeping was also disappointing. the beds were not made every day, and the towels were old, heavily stained, and clearly worn out from overuse. Overall, I would recommend looking for another place to stay. There are many better options in the area that offer a much better experience.

Lo specchio del bagno che pur essendo un grande e bello specchio stile classico molato , presenta macchie dovute all'ossidazione dello strato riflettente dovute alla vetustà dello stesso che se da un lato ne esaltano la patina classica , da un altro potrebbe stonare in un ambiente pressochè perfetto

Reviewed May 10, 2026It is a very typical italian rustic building which was very nice. The personnel was super friendly and nice. The location of the hotel was in the ZTL zone but the owner was very well prepared and gave our car license plate to the police in order to avoid any fines.
The room we had was facing a plaza with lots of youngsters talking very loud till 2-3 AM. Was not easy to find parking on a weekend ( saturday) but we manged.
