Basic but clean and tidy with nice staff & good location to the centre.
Additional carpark charges
Very helpful staff, nice breakfast.
Good location for town center.
Great location and delicious breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff
Room decor was a bit tired and a lack of care in preparing the room - no soap or shower gel provided. As the room was at the back of the hotel there was a lot of noise including an unnecessary horn beeping at 5.30 from a delivery van.
On arrival the staff were very helpful and polite. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was very good.

Really good 💯 great breakfast
No fridge
Close to Beacon Park, has a good carpark comfortable rooms and serves a great breakfast
Nothing
Staff very helpful, spotless room and very good breakfast 👌
The location is quite good for the city centre and the hotel staff are friendly and helpful.
The shower in my room is very small and has no thermostat control for safety, it's easily knocked on to very hot given how cramped the shower cubicle is.
Good location
Room was very hot even with the fan on.

The staff are very freindly & helpfull
Everything was ok nothing not to like
It was of its time, but a lift would have been useful. However, assistance was readily offered to carry cases and musical instruments (heavy) up to the room.
Nothing. It was as expected and fitted our requirements as being near to the venue, friendly staff, and a good nght's sleep.
Friendly staff, but not empowered to make decisions.
Nail clippings left on desk, bath didn’t drain well. ( partly blocked?), shower head fixing loose (kept flicking to ceiling), toilet roll holder installed upside down, so toilet roll continually fell off.
The hotel is in a perfect location and the staff and breakfast was great
The room is very small and basic, this was ok however it was so hot it was unbearable and it wasn’t even on a hot day. I realised we were need to the laundry room
All staff professional, helpful and friendly
It would have been better score but we had very noisy and angry people next room. Through the night ithey was arguing and up and down stairs. No sleep
Staff and communication and freindly.
Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast good
Bathroom could have been cleaner
Lovely staff. Excellent breakfast. Room really good price
Close to cathedral and good restaurants.
No air-conditioning. Noisy early morning
Good location near main street. Very good value.
Drain smell in bathroom, window seal gone so a bit noisy. Bit dated.
Lovely breakfast, nice rooms
Location was excellent close to everything value for money staff friendly and helpful breakfast was enjoyable price of parking car reasonable not too expensive would stay again when visiting again 😀
Nothing really like staying at the hotel
Good location, staff friendly, bed comfy. Breakfast good quality..and variety...order eggs as soon as in as made to order...but had last of buffet so little on cold side
Room hot..it was only 20 outside but much hotter in room, window open but noisy from road, so used fan provided. Would be good to have sheet as well as duvet in this weather. Heated towel rail touches your leg when on toilet, suggest it's moved higher up to avoid this
Location within walking distance of town centre attractions. Easy to find by car. Great value for money . Polite staff . Good WiFi , and good tv . Appreciated the fan in the room as very warm in there. Appreciated the luggage stand furniture. Great breakfast. Comfortable
No water provided in room. Slightly dated room . Bathroom extractor fan not coming on Bathroom in need of updating as in certain fixtures looking tired eg around bath A few marks on bed linen
Location, staff & breakfast
Very clean
Nothing
Helpfulness of staff.
Lack of bed side lamps.
Friendly staff and the hotel was clean
Location is very convenient for the cathedral and city. Good to have parking available for a small charge. Room had a good wardrobe and plenty of drawers.
Sockets were not near the bed (as listed), but across the room on the desk.
The staff were amazingly helpful and caring
There was no lift, but the staff member carried my bag to the top floor and was so incredibly kind
Greatlocation with useful car park
No lift and v hot tip floor rooms with a passable fan and barely opening windows.
Ideal location 10 minutes walk from the town 5 minutes from the Cathedral highly recommend a visit
Every thing was just fine friendly staff nice breakfast comfortable bed
Great location for where we needed to be. Lovely staff and very welcoming
It was bright, airy, clean and just a lovely hotel. The staff were brilliant, from to the hotel “breakfast fairy” (she knows who she is) who chatted to every table and made sure that they had exactly what they wanted for breakfast to Peter on reception (and the bar) who was a jack of all trades. We didn’t experience housekeeping but from the cleanliness of our room they are doing a very good job. The hotel just felt super friendly which I believe is down to the staff.
Nothing though I wish that they did evening meals but understand why they don’t.
The room and en-suite were a very good size. The bed was very roomy and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff who accommodated us for an early breakfast one morning. Parking was very convenient and good value. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choices.
There is no lift in the hotel so if stairs are a problem, book for the ground floor! Not the best coffee at breakfast…staff need to check what they are serving as we experienced extremely weak coffee.
Nothing at all
Poor hygiene Very tired room.desperately requires updating. Very cramped bathroom. Loud traffic noise. Very poor sound proofing Hotel insisting on a car parking payment of £5 per day. This payment was never mentioned at the point the reservation was booked.
Friendly staff. Lovely room. Great breakfast
No lift.
Excellent breakfast
Close to city centre and cathedral.
Did not have air conditioning or lift. Room was quiet.
Breakfast was good and staff were helpful.
Room was very tired, particularly the bathroom and general decor. The bathroom door was blown and water damaged. I was told on arrival that the room would not be serviced unless requested, the level of cleanliness would have been improved by daily cleaning of rooms
Breakfast was good & the room was a great size and good facilities
Bathroom was dated & a little dirty. Rusty shower screen didn’t really want to use bath/shower Bed was comfy but soft and mattress was noisy
I don't normally write reviews, but In the case I needed to. We had to alter our plans last minute, the staff could not have been more helpful before and during our stay.
The hotel is well looked after and clean. Our room was a superior room which was first class. The breakfast could not have been better with agreat choice and good service. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to Litchfield centre.
Great hotel, walking distance to cathedral, shops, pubs and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good with a nice choice.
Good location, room was comfortable. Fan provided to try to make room cooler. Breakfast was good. Bar was comfortable. Easy walk to Cathedral and older parts of the city.
No lift and we were on 2nd Floor. No restaurant in the hotel, but plenty of choice for eating in the city. Bar choice was quite limited. Nothing critical, just minor.
Good location and parking. The staff were all excellent and very helpful. Eva in particular is an absolute gem! She gave us very good advice on where to go and what to see. Lovely breakfast and a very pleasant bar area.
It is well located but one needs to be aware that there is quite a hilly walk to the town centre.
Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable room. Easy parking.

The staff are always brilliant, very helpful and accommodating . The location is fab too .
We were in the top room on the back and the room was so hot i almost passed out on the second night . It was during the heat wave but the fan provided just wasn’t enough. In that room as it’s so high up it would need a portable cooling unit .
The staff were very friendly and chatty. The room was comfortable and facilities good.
There was no aircon in the room and this made sleep difficult due to the heat wave.
Peter on Reception was excellent and very helpful indeed. The hotel was lovely and within walking distance to the city centre, which was ideal.
Breakfast very nice. Waitress Eva, very attentive.
Heavily stained bath towel (with make-up). Bathroom needed updating. Shower confined. Furniture marked by cup marks, and hadn't been wiped or polished properly. Drinking glasses had not been cleaned properly.
Location
Bathroom too small and hot 🔥 tail rail stuck on full heat Rooms too hot and no air conditioning desk fan not sufficient for job leading to really poor sleep
Fab location near the city of Lichfield. The staff are wonderful, the breakfast fabulous!
Not had breakfast yet. Staff were incredibly kind and helpful.
No evening meal available in or near hotel. No cocktails available in bar.
Great for the town centre close to everything
Clean and comfortable
Breakfast was a nice full English, Staff are very pleasant.
Rooms very small and basic. Could do with better cleaning , food crumbs from previous guests still evident. Decor and finish a bit rough around the edges. Window view on to car park and rear gardens of housing estate a bit naff.
Terry and I have had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Eva and Lesley were outstanding in their help to us whilst we were there. Nothing was too much trouble to them..THANK U U 2. The hotel was very clean and tidy and welcoming and the brekkie was excellent . Free parking was also appreciated. We would recommend it to all.
Location was great, very close to lots of bars and restaurants and town centre.
Very dusty room, furniture chipped and broken. Bathroom also dusty. Room looked tired and old.
Room was comfortable, with storage space. Breakfast good and plentiful. Staff helpful and friendly.
Being on the top floor with no lift!
The location of this hotel is exceptional. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was very good. Personal preference, but would have liked black pudding as an option. The building was very clean and car parking brillant. The weather was very hot and the building was quite warm. Hotel had provided fans in rooms. I really enjoyed Lichfield and would stay at this hotel again.
Rooms very warm
Great location a short walk from the cathedral and town centre. Eva, who is a real star, made us very welcome. The room was large and clean. Breakfast was first class. Eva, again, was out and about arranging service and taking an interest in each guest. She made a good experience into a special one.
Nothing
Sehr gute Lage, großes Zimmer, freier Parkplatz, nette Bar zum Schlummertrunk. Rezeption sehr hilfsbereit gute Tips
Great location for walking to town, staff are friendly.
Staff a bit hit and miss, not always greeting or speaking to us as we enter leave. No AC in the rooms, like an oven in there. There was a small desk fan we could use in the room but was FILTHY. Also lots of dead spiders and dirt/dust around the room and window ledge etc
Easy check in. Helpful friendly staff. The bar downstairs. Very convenient for visiting the cathedral, the burial place of St Chad, ideal for anyone with interest in history and the works of the Venerable Beed.
The shower mixer needs attention, it is difficult to adjust the temperature. The shower head needs to be raised, it was impossible for me to stand upright under it. Alas, like many British hotels there is no bidet.
Location the staff was amazing and the breakfast 1st class
Nothing
The staff were all really lovely and incredibly accommodating. We stayed as a touring choir and they allowed us to have breakfast a bit earlier than advertised so we could get to an early rehearsal.
It was very warm in the room but with the current weather we don’t think the hotel could have done anything further, they provided a fan which was helpful.
Would recommend this hotel for the friendly, attentive staff. From reception to being served breakfast nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was also very clean with a comfortable bed, what more could you want for an overnight stay!
Location
The bathrooms desperately need renovation When you turn the water on there’s a really loud noise of a pump I think
The staff were friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The room was clean. The location was close to the town.
No lift. No garden area.
Location and the staff
Nothing
Good location, decent room size and comfortable bed. Very nice staff
The room absolutely stank of stale cigarette smoke so much so that all of our clothes now smell. Quite narrow staircases to carry luggage up and down.
Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful
Great breakfast, room a good size and comfortable bed.
Lack of plug sockets in room.
The hotel is very well situated on the outskirts of Lichfield. Good view of the cathedral and walking distance into the town. Good breakfast, good value for money
The room wasn’t serviced, we had to keep asking, we stayed for 4 nights, and had to ask for tea, coffee and milk and fresh towels
Location friendly staff
Small car park spaces
great location and largish room for the price.
Cleanliness was poor. Rooms are very dated and bathroom smelt awful and despite having the windows open for 6 hours and extractor on, it still didn't clear it. Asked a member of staff for a corkscrew and they didn't have one on site. went to check out in the morning and 4 members of staff were just talking at reception and ignored us. others there were asking to change rooms too due to cleanliness. Had booked to stay again but have now cancelled
Close to town centre and they did a lovely breakfast with lovely staff
The location, comfortable beds, powerful shower, great breakfast! And especially the brilliant staff, so friendly and helpful.
If I had to pick anything, paying for car parking
Nice staff, clean room and comfortable bed. Exceptional breakfast and service.
The shower head wouldn’t stay in place. Also the button on body wash in shower was very stiff, so I had to use the one next to sink instead, which involved getting out of the shower to reach it.
Room 301, large size, top floor. Nice, airy room. Staff friendly & helpful. Breakfast: lovely poached eggs, fresh fruit, excellent.
The staff were really friendly and helpful,,in particular Peter and Wesley on reception who interacted with our banter ,,also ava who took our orders for breakfast on both mornings,, she was very attentive to detail and nothing was to much trouble for her ,,thank you all
Came here last minute due to a travel schedule change. Agree about cleanliness, great proximity, and friendly staff… however, it was not clear this property does not have elevators (I.e. for those with accessibility needs, this may not be a good hotel as there are only stairs). And, coming here during warmer weather it was also not clear that the hotel does not have air conditioning. Today’s high was only 24 C, but at 11:30pm, the room is still warm/stuffy and the window has been open since at least 4:30pm, along with the provided fan being on. So, if you are coming here during warmer weather, and have trouble sleeping if you are warm, take note!
The position was good for the cathedral and town centre, although the hill back up to it was long
The Devore and facilities were very tired and could have done with refurb
Great location, Breakfast really good,
A little dated
Absolutely perfect. Beautiful hotel, excellent location, lovely and peaceful, very friendly and helpful staff. The room felt more like a room in a country house than a generic hotel room, which I loved. Definitely the best place I’ve ever stayed.
Impossible to dislike anything about this place!
The hotel is in a super position for Lichfield centre. Safe car park. Staff always helpful and pleasant. Our room 301 was excellent. Very comfortable bed & fantastic bath.
The staff were excellent and did everything to make the stay a good one. Breakfast was really nice and cooked to order with a wide variety of cold choices too. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. The staff were kind and attentive.
Our room was very hot and we had problems with the shower. We were moved into another room which was much cooler but still warm. One of the lovely ladies at reception gave us a fan to combat the heat.
Das Zimmer ist komfortabel, das Frühstück in Ordnung, der Rezeptionist war sehr hilfsbereit, die Betten sind sehr hart.
Das Hotel liegt an einer stark befahrenen Straße,es ist sehr laut
Location and price
Location.
Bedroom was extremely warm with a small desk fan.
Location was perfect, helpful staff on check in, room comfortable and clean Buffet breakfast was good value and food was lovely
Road noise from the front of property Very warm evening but had to close the window due to traffic
very friendly and helpful staff
it was ok
Was very close to the centre. Staff were lovely and welcoming and the breakfast was really nice. Also got a discount at one of the sister hotels for food which was nice.
Room was noisy from the road traffic. Also so hot we couldn’t sleep. Weather was exceptionally hot but air conditioning would have helped.
Lack of air conditioning
Great location for City Centre and Beacon Park. Fantastic breakfast and lovely staff
We were in room 316. You couldn't adjust the shower temperature, which was very hot, the water didn't drain away in the shower basin, and the door wouldn't close properly....so basically unusable.
In a lovely park of Lichfield right opposite the park and an easy walk into town. Very quiet.
Nothing.
