ANA Crowne Plaza Niigata by IHG

Nice place , room amazing and the staff is fantastic

Nice hotel, friendly, efficient service. Particularly impressed by the EV charging: AC chargers with no faffing, you can just plug it in when you arrive and leave with the car full the next day with no extra charges or messing around with apps and authentication things.

I much enjoyed the luxury of my five-night stay in a junior suite. Of course, it was bigger than one person really needed, but for some reason there weren't many suitable options for my Niigata stay and all that space made it feel more like a home than a hotel. It was relaxing. The twin beds were comfortable with good pillows. The lounge was high enough to sit there and work on the nice big table as a change from using the desk and chair. The fabrics were attractive but the artwork was a weird AI creation. There were drawers for clothes or other items and lots of wardrobe space. I loved the fusuma-style windows with two layers. Lighting and WiFi were good and there were plenty of power sockets. I didn't have to refill the humidifier once - at many hotels I've had to do it every day. I was delighted to have a coffee capsule machine and four capsules per day, although there were only the two varieties - Tokyo Lungo and Decaf. Bathing in the long, deep bath was a treat. There was a generous supply of towels - not reduced to one of each type because I was a solo traveller, which some other hotels have annoyed me by doing. The quality complimentary facial cleansing and nurturing products were appreciated. I had reasonable city views tending to be dominated by a large parking lot, but in the hotel forecourt there were lovely azalea hedges in flower and trees vibrantly green with their new leaves. The breakfast buffets were great. There were lots of local specialities, and I enjoyed trying the unusual and tasty homemade dressings for salads and toppings for toast. Speaking of toast, the French Toast was fantastic! The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the JR Station. The immediate area is not particularly scenic but the river is pretty close. Streets full of eateries were a couple of blocks away with supermarkets closer. The hotel does have its own restaurants but I didn't try them other than for breakfast. The staff were always pleasant and greeted guests as they walked in and out. A nice young woman in the restaurant actually remembered my tea and milk preference the morning after she first served me! The hotel offered 10 daily rituals to feel good, I'm not sure what they were but it sounded interesting. It was a great place to stay and I was quite sad to leave. Thank you!

Frühstück war sehr gut, hatte japanische ubd europäische Auswahl.

良い

Very clean and comfortable room and facilities. Amazing staff. Some important documents I left in the room safe were efficiently returned to me at my next destination. Extremely professional.

The location was easy to get to from the train station by walking. Also it was close to many eating places and for site-seeing Niigata.

The location was great, the station, the shopping centers, restaurant and ferry were all easily reachable

The room was ridiculously hot and we could not turn off the central heating system, all the staff could do was bring out a fan. The fact that you can't even open a window or turn the AC on to cold at the ed of March is ridiculous and it made us not spend much time in the room. The breakfast was also not as good as other Crowe Plaza hotels we've stayed at.

Staff and room. Sake tasting.

Hotel unable to get a taxi on departure so had to walk to station with luggage in pouring rain.

The receptionist was trying to help us, he really understands, but he could not help.

They say there is an air-condition, well there is but it did not work so they gave us 2 fans.... The parking place is not beside the hotel so you need to take the luggage out and go park ... And there was no parking space so I waited for someone to leave.. And I needed to pay extra for the parking in that spot. Overall I did not recommend this hotel

The bestest breakfeast in Nigata_ everything you could want and delicious flavour, nice size room

A bit of walk to train station,_ but managable

Amazing staff and a fantastic breakfast! Highly recommended for a comfortable stay.

Nothing

Very poor AC system meant that the room temperaturewas very uncomfortable

First time in Niigata and wasn't disappointed by this hotel. It felt new, clean & modern. Front desk staff were amazingly helpful. If I ever return to Niigata, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Much better than the Crowne Plaza Kobe where I stayed the following days.

Location is close to Bandai and shopping area. About 10 minutes walk to Niigata Station, very manageable with suitcases. Rooms were very spacious, breakfast was great. Attentive staff. They have luggage transfer service with Yamato Transport in the hotel. We sent our suitcases from/to Narita airport directly to/from the hotel. Very convenient. Hotel also accommodated request for rooms with single beds. Single beds were of a good size, and pillows were very comfortable.

It was a bit pricey.
