Very disappointing stay. The bathroom had a leaking roof, and the shower pipe was broken, causing water to spill all over the wall. The room's lighting system was also poorly designed and confusing. When I asked for help because I couldn't switch off the lights, the staff eventually came but responded in a condescending manner, implying that I didn't know how hotel key-card systems work. It wasn't a lack of experience—it was simply an unclear setup. As a result, I couldn't get to sleep until around 11:30 p.m., which was especially frustrating as I was staying there the night before my marathon. Even the weighing scale provided in the hotel was unusable because it had no battery. Overall, the room was poorly maintained, the service was unprofessional, and the price did not reflect the quality provided.

Der Pool liegt direkt neben dem Restaurant, so dass jeder hinausschauen kann. Ich würde mich beobachtet fühlen und ungern darin schwimmen. Klimaanlage läuft ständig, im Zimmer war es kalt. Eigenhändig nicht gut regulierbar.

Hele personalet var så imødekommende, men vi sender en speciel ros til event manageren Praveen Aparna Rohith, der gav sig tid til at finde de bedste udflugtsmål og også var os behjælpelig med at booke overnatning til vores videre rejse her I Kerala. Vi blev også dag mødt af smil af pool manden, der sørgede for håndklæder til os, så vi kunne nyde solen efter en tur i swimmingpoolen.

Theen til morgenmaden var helt sort og for os udtrykkelig.

We were disappointed that the spa area was closed and that hardly any of the gym equipment worked. The corridor ceiling was badly water damaged and looked as if it was on the verge of collapse.

Sea view, Bed, Good Breakfast. Harikrishnan in the restaurant was very helpful in getting food items.

Cleanliness of bathroom, toilet, washbasin. Choking of washbasin . Very very few malayalam free channels are available for viewing. Pay channels even malayalam are not activated

I would like to appreciate the incredible chef and the whole catering staff for their exceptional service and culinary excellence. Your talent, hardwork and flawless service made this experience unforgettable. The staffs professionalism, attention to details, and warm hospitality made the dining truly memorable. The service was impeccable and truly shine through .It was a most memorable holiday and I am thankful to each and every staff.

Breakfast was good and so do the location. Had pleasant stay in the hotel, all the staffs were friendly and would like to thank Dip kumar and Sayed the housekeeping staff they were amazing! I was especially touched by the beautiful towel swan and few other creative towel they made in our room — such a thoughtful and artistic touch. It really made our stay feel special.

Problem with WIFi in my room

Our stay in the Executive room was very pleasant. Large, well furnished, and had great facilities. The included buffet breakfast was very extensive with a huge range. The front manager Praveen was very kind to us, helping resolve problems and making our stay excellent.

At first we had trouble with paying by foreign card because the reader wasn't connected online. Very minor issues, TV didn't work well and body soap was empty in our bathroom.

Location and ambience: Very good. Less than about 10 minutes by car from the railway station. As for the nearby amenities, I accessed the beach in just one minute through the gate at the back. Please note that swimming in the Arabian Sea is dangerous. The beach, kept neat by the local authorities, bustles with activity late into the night. Local traders with trinkets, toys and fast food adorn the silver sands. I relished all these walking on the beach in the nights, listening to the waves crashing on the steep shoreline with Quilon Beach Hotel on one side, and the lights from the boats afar in the Arabian Sea festooning the horizon, on the other. Room: All rooms apparently have one window with sea view, it seems. I could watch the sunset reflecting off the ripples on the Arabian Sea. Rooms are clean. Room service has been very prompt.

It was challenge (if not frustrating) to control the lights in the room, for all the switches are on one single “remote” panel (Ethernet wired) and they malfunction.If you press the wall lamp on, the toilet light will go off and so on. Unfortunately there are no physical switches on the walls to override. Half of my evenings were spent toggling them buttons on the dysfunctional “remote”. You will have to make do with whichever bulbs light up… WiFi: Don’t count on it if you do not have local SIM. I will give their WiFi a generous 2/10. It was intermittent and weak in most areas. I really struggled. Food: Breakfast was just okay. Items like kwa-son (croissant) aren’t of international standard though. But for the local standards breakfast could be considered very good. Staff: Very polite and very helpful. In particular mention is Aparna at the Reception. Her communication is very professional. Praveen, the manager, is a blessing to the establishment. He sorted out a problem I had with the room without any fuss. Between the two, nothing was too difficult. They readily dealt with all my requests efficiently and promptly to make the 50-year reunion with four of my closest University friends in Kollam smooth and enjoyable. Thanks to the hospitality I was offered by Quilon Beach Hotel (previously known locally as “Beach Orchid”).

I truly loved this hotel. Maybe because I wasn’t expecting everything I received.

That I didn’t stay longer

You can't swim in the sea, the area is very run down and dirty which is a pity because it could be so beautiful,hotel is a bit dated maybe more a 3-4 star hotel

Beds were super comfy and clean! Staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really great, lots of Indian choices that tasted delicious. Problem is when there is full capacity of guests for breakfast and not enough staff so teas, coffees, omelette or dosas (which was not self service) was chaotic when there were some impatient guests. The staff tried their hardest, but a few more staff during busy times would be better.

We had 2 rooms and both rooms toilets was disgusting , WC looks like never been cleaned . Also rooms are not acoustic we could here from next rooom very loud , even when they flushed toilet we can here so disturbing sleep at night . Didn’t have hair dryer or ironing box provided, when we requested iron box they bring one for us and the cable was damaged it’s dangerous to use ( photo can provide ) mould everywhere in shower room . Food price in their restaurant very high compared to other 5 star hotel. Last night we went to chef pillai restaurant for dinner and money was half of the previous night

The location. Big, clean and modern Executive room with superb beach views. Not noisy at all despite room been close to lifts. Really comfortable bed and pillows.

Surprised the restaurant/cafe been modern and all, doesn’t have an espresso coffee machine, and could only offer instant coffee. A small machine would make a huge difference:)

Exorbitant cost of travel from the facility due to the absence of ride hailing facilities. We ordered a mutton curry which was full of bones ,and hardly any meat.

The manager was exceptionally helpful and friendly . The rest of the staff were really helpful with any of our requests

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The staff — Manu, Aparna, and Abhirami — were exceptionally good. They were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was well taken care of. Overall, it was a comfortable and satisfying experience. Highly recommended!

I posted the below feedback about my disappointing stay on the hotel’s Google business profile as well. About this property - There is a convention centre located within the hotel premises, and on the night of my stay, the music was blaring from around 7:00 PM until 11:15 PM. I contacted the front desk twice, and both times they claimed they would notify the convention centre — yet absolutely nothing was done. This level of disregard for guests’ comfort is unacceptable and highly unprofessional. To make matters worse, the sink in my bathroom was completely clogged and never fixed during my stay. On top of that, the Wi-Fi was the worst I have ever encountered — constantly dropping and painfully slow. Horrible! Overall, a deeply disappointing experience. I will not be staying at this hotel again. I even recorded the excessive noise clearly audible from my room on the 4th floor. Totally messed up my sleep. The food was good, the rooms were spacious and clean and the view is great.

We had a wonderful stay at The Quilon Beach Hotel. The suite room was very spacious with excellent amenities and an amazing view from the window. Housekeeping and room service were great. The breakfast and lunch buffets were delicious – compliments to the chef! The beach nearby made it easy for us to relax and walk at evening and the hotel also arranged cab services for sightseeing, which was very convenient. A couple of areas for improvement: the gym could be better maintained, and the Ayurvedic spa was under maintenance during our stay. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!
