I did not like the whole set up of the place. It took me back to the old South Africa before the democratic dispensation. I was unaware that this property is entirely saturated in South Africa's past. I suppose some people would feel very comfortable in such an environment. I will definitely not visit this property again.

The building has a wonderful old-world atmosphere, and the rooms are unique and full of character. Secure parking is available. The on-site restaurant, which serves both breakfast and dinner, is excellent, with a great team and delicious food. They were also very considerate of my gluten intolerance and went above and beyond to provide me with interesting, delicious gluten-free options.

We had a wonderful stay. The accommodation was comfortable, beautifully maintained and offered everything we needed, while the location was excellent and made it so easy to explore the area. And the food was excellent.

Staff at reception and restaurant owner made me feel unwelcome. It was like they were doing me a favour by providing a service I paid I for. ‘I work at Pezula in Knysna and am only here because they are short staffed’ is not an appropriate response to a guest query.

Wonderful views. There is a walkway outside of the hotel and one can walk to the West Coast National Park ( 2.5 km) and to the main beach ( 2.2 km). Very cozy bar and delicious breakfast

Clearly one of the most beautiful locations in Langebaan ! The Hotel is old - not modern at all - but it is indeed “cosy” and authentic. Important to our stay in winter - the rooms are NOT cold with plenty of heating options. Dinner was great - and breakfast good. Having a nice walk with amazing views is a treat.

A bit of misleading is the room option “dinner included” ! Be aware that it just means to have a “not up-front” declared amount of “credit” with the gap to be paid. Any kind of add on for breakfast has to be paid extra. It’s not a lot - but it feels annoying, to be honest. The hotel management can still learn from international travelers. However, it’s worth a stay.

Our walking group spent one night at The Farmhouse Hotel and absolutely loved it. The staff were warm and welcoming, the rooms comfortable, and the views over the lagoon breathtaking. The restaurant, La Petite Maison, served the most delicious breakfasts and dinners, truly memorable. I'll definitely book here again for future group stays.

Aufenthalt während des südafrikanischen Winters. Die Unterkunft hatte keine richtige Heizung, nur so Heizplatten, die mit Strom betrieben wurden und wenig Wärme abgaben, Fenster mit Einmalverglasung, nicht richtig zu schließen . Dementsprechend war es in der Wohnung kalt. Wir hatten uns sehr auf die Benutzung des zu dem Zimmer gehörenden Hotpot gefreut. Das Wasser hierfür wurde durch eine Art Kamin erhitzt, leider funktionierte das gar nicht. Das Personal war nicht in der Lage, das Problem zu beheben und das Wasser blieb kalt.

We have been at the hotel many times and will return. Home baked scones on the terrace at arrival. I loved the hot tub! Soccer World Cup- therefore the DSTV-Sports channels were appreciated! Breakfast and dinner at Le Petit Maison - the hotel restaurant was very sophisticated and very delicious. Wonderful service with attention to details. A perfect place for special moments to celebrate.

I was very disappointed that over the winter period you do NOT have electric blankets!!!!!!! However, they had heaters in the room & that helped so much. Thank you! The cleaning staff were wonderful! The kitchen was a bit slow when it came to coffee (delay) but when we got it it was wonderful. We had a friend over for coffee & the scones & cheesecake was outstanding! Wow! We love the old & all the artifacts but in general we truly enjoyed our stay! What i can say a huge thank you for fact that it was pet friendly. Had you not been so expensive in December we would have made a 2-week booking. Lastly thank you very much for a super stay & will certainly recommend your place!!!!!

No electric blankets cushions need to be redone or washes! Really, we hate complaining but that was my only problem!!!!!!

Loved the meals, dinner was delicious! As well as the scones! Breakfast was good but to be honest nothing wow. The staff and manager at the restaurant and hotel were all so lovely. Very friendly and sweet. Our room was great, very spacious and considering we were traveling with a 1 and 3 year old it worked out great for us. The staff member that checked us in (Im sorry i didnt get his name now, my husband handled the check in) but wow, was so attentive, and approached us later to check if the room would be okay because we didnt request a cot and there wasnt a day bed in our room, I explained we didnt require anything extra, but i feel it was so proactive and thoughtful of him to check with us.

The dstv was going on and off every few minutes, losing connection, we didnt watch much tv so wasnt a big deal but something to sort out for future guests. More meal options for breakfast would be great. Also the fact that we did advise the hotel prior to arriving that we would appreciate halaal friendly meal options, but it seems as though they didnt alert the restaurant, owner/manager of the restaurant however did try to accommodate us as best she could.

The location is beautiful 😍 The restaurant, La petite maison is on site and serves the most scrumptious food. Free scones and tea every day from 4pm to 5pm 🙌

We had such a lovely stay at the Farmhouse hotel! Great staff, wonderful restaurant on the same premises, dog friendly (just note there is a friendly cat on property) and child friendly plus extra touches such as scones and tea in the afternoon.

I took my husband here for our wedding anniversary. I had stayed before and had an amazing experience, and again, it was just as I remembered. We had such a wonderful stay! We stayed in the romantic room with the hot tub (No. 17), and we absolutely loved it, it was tucked away, nice and private and very spacious. Dinner at La Petite Maison was delicious — I would definitely recommend the crayfish. Breakfast was also delicious, and the complimentary scones and tea were a lovely touch. The facilities were perfect, and enjoying drinks at the bar, a game of pool, and watching the sunset from the patio was the perfect end to the day. It’s also just a short walk to the beach at the lagoon. We can’t wait for our next visit. Thank you again, Farmhouse!

The room was so cozy and romantic with the fireplace and hot tub on our porch. It was incredibly clean and the food at the restaurant was fantastic! The views are incredible and the pool table and bar area just added to the comfort

Amazing staff who were always willing to assist when we needed them. Beautiful views of the lagoon from our room and a very comfortable bed. We opted for the dinner, bed and breakfast package which was great as we never had to leave the hotel and been a icey cold 3 days it was perfect.

The initial booking system/communication from the call centre. It would be easier and more user friendly to deal directly with the hotel from the start. My communication/requests thereafter with the hotel directly were great.

Cottage Room 16 was cluttered

The room was great but the supper was absolutely amazing!

This was a last minute booking and what a great hotel and room. A big spacious room with windows overlooking the lagoon. Beautiful historical space. A big bonus is that it is petfriendly that this is clearly a big drawing card. Just hope more follow them to focus on this market.

We were unable to make a dinner reservation, but were only told so the day before arrival. We need to shorten our stay because our flight had been cancelled (flood damage at the Hoedspruit airport), and the alternative was earlier. The hotel refused to even discuss a refund. Bad show.

Our stay at The Farm House Hotel was absolutely unforgettable. The place is truly beautiful, with a view that is simply out of this world. Waking up to the ocean like that felt surreal. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, showing great attention to detail. The food was delicious, and we loved the touch of history in and around the hotel. One of the highlights was being able to enjoy massages right on the premises. It added such a relaxing and luxurious touch to our stay. We would definitely come back again! Highly recommended!!!

Restaurant food was amazing. Staff could be a bit more attentive at breakfast - they forgot our orders more than once.

The bathroom needed a bit of maintenance/upgrading for the rate and the kitchen needs a few more items like a sharp knife and a few other basics

Lovely hotel. The breakfast, afternoon scones and restaurant were great. Comfortable room and cool even during a heat wave. Staff were helpful and friendly.

The room was a bit dated, but it didn’t affect our stay.

Die Frühstücksqualität war sehr gut, man wählte ein bestimmtes Essen mit Kaffee oder Tee. Schöner Ausblick auf die Lagune. Nachmittagstee mit stones kostenfrei erhältlich.

Beim Abendessen gab es kleine Portionen, das Restaurant wird nicht vom Hotel betrieben. Weiteres Getränk beim Frühstück nur auf Anfrage, eher nicht gewünscht.

Het hotel heeft een prachtige ligging met zicht op de lagune. Er moet wel een onderscheid gemaakt worden tussen het hotel en het restaurant (waar ook ontbeten wordt). Beiden hebben andere exploitanten.

De service was niet het hotel waardig. Eén avond was de kamer niet opgemaakt toen we einde dag terugkwamen. Daarnaast hebben we maar 1 keer doucheproduct en shampoo gekregen en werd deze niet aangevuld terwijl we er 5 nachten sliepen. Dit hotel onwaardig

Tolle Lage des Hotels am Rand von Langebaan in zweiter Reihe an der Lagune. Zimmer sind ok , das Personal ist sehr sehr freundlich . Die Chefin war unglaublich freundlich , nett und emphatisch . Aussergewöhnlich gutes und kreatives Frühstück und ein wirklich gutes Restaurant abends.

The hotel was OK but the real value was the restaurant petite Maison . Excellent meals. A great value to be able to bring pets along .Very civilised .

Bathroom and toilet not up to standard . Lights missing by mirror for my morning shave and shower door not aligned. Pentry very spaerly supplied with equipment.

The cottage was beautiful, cool in the hot summer, well kitted out, and we enjoyed hanging out with the resident cat.

The only minor inconvenience was a broken braai grid but Charles helped us out with a new one promptly.
