Nice beach. Spacy room and many dinner options.
The selling of future stay package by the staff
The resort looks impressive at first, with a large property, many facilities, and a good variety of breakfast options.
The hotel felt overcrowded and impersonal, with many areas and amenities reserved for members or available only at an extra cost. The quality of the food and drinks was well below expectations, service was inconsistent, and the water park was much smaller and less impressive than advertised. We also had a safety concern when my wife cut her finger on a children’s waterslide, and the incident was handled very casually.

Very dissapointed tbf with this hotel for the cost the childrens pool lazy spa and one resturant is under construction with no notice, if you dont speak good spanish ur a bit buggered tried to ask for a water and came out with a plate of lettece! Not all but most staff are rude , there is not much for a 2 year old 2 do as she couldnt only go in kids club a certain time because of her age , everything that was good for my 13 year old was charagble ie in the boulavard lazer quest , escape rooms, rv everthing is an extra expence when we spent 8k already ... on the plus side pools great drinks are branded and the beach is good too first and last time vistiting the hard rock dominican! mexico any day !!
A hotel that met my expectations: top-notch food, very clean, huge, and very attentive staff.
The hotel is wonderful for families. Ask for building six or seven, they are closest to all the food and indoor amenities. If you are on a budget, do the timeshare tour- 2 hours of your life you can’t get back, but we bought four excursions for five people for about $550 after the timeshare appt. If you do participate, book early! Otherwise, you’ll in line for an hour. Note: no alcohol or you may spend about $27k. Do not take the snorkel tour. Not a single piece of live coral in the area. What corporation brings boatloads of people to a reef that is so sparse? And there is no life at all in the coral here. Bleached totally white. I’m embarrassed for them. I’ll be back for the resort, tho!
The issues with this place start the second you step off the plane. We prepaid for transportation that they had no record of. And let us know we would need to wait 90 mins for a ride. By the time we arrived at the hotel it took over 2 hours to check in. Only to arrive at our room to someone else’s toiletries and used panty liners. The issues continue from there. We were treated poorly by the staff every step of the way. And the food wasn’t edible, that being the worst part along with the cleanliness issues. My biggest gripe being the cups that they don’t clean and “recycle for sustainability” they dunk them in a bucket of dirty water and serve to the next place. This place is truly disgusting. For reference we paid 530 per night and expected much better. We certainly did not get what we paid for
Piss poor treatment from the service staff around the polls. Room service took over 2 hours and didn’t even get the order right. Food was mediocre at best. Was there for a wedding and all the food sat out for hours before it was served. Best thing we are that still wasn’t great was at the steakhouse where the service was terrible. Was sat for 25 min before a large party was sat next to us, the entire large party table had their main before us.
That I didn’t have to go outside
Maybe the staff is very intensive about selling you a membership ( but I understand they are doing their job ) but getting to the hotel very tired from airport and make you make a line to speak to a representative . I just want to go to my room and then talk with someone
Atmosphere is very good location
I’m a legendary Hard Rock member and have been a member for about 10 years. I’m currently staying at Hard Rock Punta Cana, and after deciding to extend my membership, I had an experience that I feel is important for potential members to know about. When I extended my membership, I was told that I would have six years to use one of my prepaid Legendary weeks. What was not clearly explained to me was that after three years, the season in which I could use that week would change. As a teacher, this is a major issue for me because the season I’m now restricted to gives me essentially an eight-day window each year to use the week. I recently met with the membership team again to explain the situation and asked if they could simply make the change that I understood I was originally promised. Unfortunately, they refused unless I paid additional money. I’m not writing this review to say that everyone will have the same experience, but I do want to strongly encourage anyone considering a Hard Rock membership to slow down and be very careful:. don’t rush, ask questions, read the fine print, and make sure you understand exactly what you are purchasing before signing. Don’t feel pressured to make a decision quickly. There is a lot of information presented during the sales process, and it can be easy to focus on the exciting benefits without fully understanding the fine print. I’ve enjoyed many aspects of being a Hard Rock member and the Punta Cana resort is great , which is why I’m disappointed by this situation.D
@traveltomvacations.com/ and his team recently helped organize a trip to Hard Rock Punta Cana. Tom and his team organized all the details necessary and all we had to do was show up! Our experience at Hard Rock was wonderful. Our group of 45 consisted of people ages 5-53 and there was something for everyone to enjoy! The younger members of our party enjoyed the water park and lazy river, while the older ones were able to relax by the numerous pools, play volleyball on the beach, use the fitness amenities, and golf. We were also able to have a private dinner and Francis Cruz Benitez, our event coordinator, was amazing with the planning and execution of the event. The food, drinks, rooms, and overall ambiance of the resort were wonderful! It was an amazing experience!
We just arrived today. We are VIP members when I tell you they made us wait two hours at the airport and then to check-in with another hour and then it took them over two hours to bring our bags. We have three towels in our room. We are in a presidential suite. And the service has been horrible and we are only here 7 hours they wasted an entire day of our vacation and we are members I strongly recommend not purchasing with them and I have been a member with them for over 15 years and before them I was with Palace resorts. Their customer service is subpar. It’s nothing close to a five star resort. The waiters waitresses bartenders their phenomenal the front desk. People are terrible. The Bell boys are terrible and his room service is you can’t get anything that you ask for

The waiter at the buffet named Sammy gave us amazing service refilling our drinks all time , so good!
Absolutely adored this resort. The property is enormous and there is always something to do. My favourite part of this hotel is the people. I had some amazing experiences with the servers and the staff during my stay. Big shoutout to Sammy at the Market, he was an amazing server with amazing service. And to Anderson at the pool. He did a great job ensuring we enjoyed our time at the pool. The hostess at Ciao (didn’t catch her name) was also so friendly and got us seated earlier which was very very helpful. I love this resort and i hope to return.
Wonderful experience, the hotel is incredible and beautiful, but without a doubt what really stands out is the excellent service; everyone was very friendly.
Organizzazione Pulizia Intrattenimento ⁸
We just returned from our 5th visit to Hard Rock Punta Cana, but it wasn't the same experience we had on our last trip. We usually check out already planning our next visit; we’ve even recommended it and brought family and friends along to experience the hotel. It seems they’ve focused solely on selling memberships, forgetting the very essence of what the hotel used to be: absolute quality! We stayed for 6 nights—intending to extend to 8—but from the moment we arrived, it was one failure after another. 1. Despite several attempts throughout our 6-night stay, we were never able to get a reservation at the restaurants that required them. 2. Food and drink quality has dropped. The buffets are extremely repetitive, and even the orange juice—which used to be fresh-squeezed—is now artificial. 3. The housekeeping staff seems so overworked that they don't have time to clean rooms properly; even at 6 PM, rooms still hadn't been serviced. 4. We could sense the employees' lack of motivation; it’s clear they aren't given the resources needed to provide excellent guest service. 5. The purchasing and logistics department is severely lacking; whenever we asked for simple items, the answer was always the same: "We're out!" We ran out of ice, limes, etc. 6. Restaurant facilities are run-down and lack air conditioning: Ipanema was a nightmare throughout our stay, and the furniture in the coffee shop was damaged. 7. The hotel was overbooked, and there was a shortage of beach cabanas for shade, even though there was plenty of space to set up more. 8. Don't be fooled by these expensive memberships; the benefits end up being the same, and the hotel is in URGENT need of improvements. A huge thank you to Ruth and Elizabeth at Ipanema for saving our night when the heat was becoming unbearable for the kids. Also to Joan and Rolando for the delicious omelets at breakfast. And to Jeiko, the guy at the kids' pool towel station, who was so helpful with finding us a spot. And the waitstaff at the children's pool are absolute sweethearts with the guests. It is a shame that a hotel—which is by no means cheap—is going downhill due to amenities and services it used to offer but has gradually eliminated. Mind you, the employees are the ones who have made this resort wonderful, yet apparently, they aren't being compensated in line with what they contribute to the hotel; we regular guests notice this and often discuss it among ourselves.
The resort is huge! The food was fair, some restaurants are good others not. The two biggest disappointments were the check in and the credits they offer you to use daily! The credits are a crock of bull- it’s false advertising. The check In took four hours! The person was so ridiculous and stupid! They wouldn’t even let me pay my bill because the card I tended was not the same number I used 10+ months ago for the deposit! Never in my works have I seen a place that wouldn’t take a credit card because it didn’t match the deposit 29 months earlier . Note the deposit was $400+ the final payment was $9000! Yes and he gave me such a hard time about the card! For that reason alone I won’t come back! I will say my family and I did have a great vacation!!! I will go somewhere else before here ! Four hours to check In is crazy
Hard rock Punta Cana resort is HORRIBLE HORRIBLE STAFF a lot are rude to you it’s to big so you either have to wait for a tram which takes a while or SPEND MOFE MONEY AND GET A GOLF CART the staff has attitudes never book the resort horrible experience first and last time!!!!!!
location:good atmosphere:great rooms:exotic value: idk this one I'm 13 cleanliness: cLeAn As A sPoNgE noise level:quiet like the suburbssss service:amazing! (I know have a crush on a waiter named diego😏🥴🤭) and that's it! I rate the hard rock hotel & casino punta cana a 10/10!!! (even tho it was out of five stars)
A prison camp for tourists. All-inclusive, which in reality means everything is mediocre at best. The location is really remote, no escape to the local community or culture. The noise of tacky Muzak is incessant, there are speakers everywhere across the whole site. Being fair, the rooms were adequate, but the air conditioning was so loud I had to keep it off when I was in the room. The size is crazy, way too big. It felt like an enormous cruise liner on which no one is allowed to think outside of what the Hard Rock fan boys want you to think.
Our family had a wonderful time on our 1 week vacation. There are so many pools to choose from, but we liked the Drum pool the best. Our rooms were clean, food was ok- lots to choose from. We enjoyed our nights hanging out at the Moon Bar after our dinners. We had an excellent waitress who we called Eno. She gave us excellent service every night and went out of her way to make us feel so special. She definitely made our vacation a memorable one !

The staff here are amazing. Really nice, keen to please, delivering excellent service. But they are being let down by the poor running of the hotel. Our toilet was blocked and it took four trips to reception to get them to unblock it, eventually doing it at 11pm. The minibar is restocked every four or five days. It’s a building site, with a huge area including kids slides and lazy river all closed off and heavy drilling. You call room service or to report something and nine times out of 10 there is no answer. And it is heavily geared towards Spanish speaking guests rather than English. I would definitely recommend the golf course though. It’s a shame, as it’s a nice hotel but it lets itself down day after day and there are better alternatives. We leave on Monday but would happily go now.
My favorite part of Hard Rock was the gym and spa. Felix at the gym was super helpful always very pleasant. Andujar was amazing from the Spa. Also Wendy from Ciao restaurant was amazing (Helpful, pleasant and attentive. Look forward to more trips here 🙃
Very disappointing experience. We were attracted by the advertised free pass and water park access, but once we arrived, we had to deal with several very pushy salespeople trying to sell us their packages. After we said the package was not for us, their attitude completely changed. Communication was poor, and they did not even provide us a ride back. We also paid for food, which was disappointing in quality. This experience wasted almost an entire day of our family vacation. The advertising did not match our experience, and I would not recommend putting your family through this high-pressure sales situation.
Misma comida
The worst experience!!!! Room was not ready when I came to check in . Then at about 7pm as I was showering with soap all over me the water shuts off and never comes back! Called multiple times to the front and nothing was done. They sent me bottled water finally so that I can at Least rinse off the soap. Then when I came back from eating at about 11 pm still ko water so I went to the front desk and complained and my room was changed. It was already 11:30 pm and we had to pack up with kids to move. They said call the front desk when finished packing so they can bring the luggage’s to the new room. They never picked up the phone!!! Had to go back to the front desk again. The customer service is horrible no apology for the situation and not even any type of compensation for the inconvenience. Sad to say but I would not come spend all that money here for a frustrating and stressful experience.

Wow, where do I even start? This was by far the worst resort experience I’ve ever had. The property is enormous, so you can easily rack up 10,000+ steps a day walking around in the blazing sun. There are trolleys available, but they are not particularly reliable, and depending on the time of day, you may have a long wait (30+ minutes) or struggle to find seating. The experience starts off poorly as soon as you arrive, when you’re immediately subjected to a very aggressive sales pitch for the resort’s membership/timeshare program. Your salesperson, who is presented as your “personal concierge,” seems far more interested in getting you to attend a timeshare presentation than making sure you actually enjoy your stay. Once it becomes clear that you’re not interested in purchasing a membership, the attention and interest essentially disappear. Unfortunately, the resort itself didn’t make up for that experience. The rooms are dated, and the air conditioning is incredibly loud; so loud that it was difficult to comfortably watch TV in the room. The food was also a major disappointment. The only restaurant experience we found to be decent was the hibachi restaurant, but even there, the service was lacking. Our drinks didn’t arrive until after all of the food had already been cooked, which really took away from the experience. The evening entertainment was also underwhelming to say the least, and felt very subpar for a resort of this size and price point. The one positive thing I can say is that the housekeeping staff did an excellent job. Our room was consistently well maintained and cleaned. Overall, this resort did not come close to meeting our expectations. Between the aggressive timeshare sales tactics, unreliable transportation around the property, dated rooms, extremely loud AC, disappointing food, and lackluster entertainment, I would not recommend Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana and would not stay here again.
Love this resort, and the best part is the service. Tiffany and Noel at the Eden pool were fantastic and made sure our drinks were always full. They greeted us with hugs and smiles each day and made the week the absolute best!
I have been a loyal Hard Rock patron for years, which is exactly why I booked this property for my 17-year-old daughter’s very first trip outside of the United States. She was incredibly excited based on our great experiences with the US properties. Instead of a memorable luxury vacation, this resort turned our milestone trip into a stressful logistical nightmare. Upon check-in, we were assigned an uncomfortably warm room averaging 78°F with an unsealed patio door that allowed a bug infestation into our living space. Management refused to move us initially, claiming they were at full capacity. At 8:00 PM, they abruptly changed their minds and told us we had to relocate. By 9:00 PM, we were moved to a second room, but the staff completely abandoned us. We were forced to repack our entire room and physically haul five heavy luggage bags across the resort entirely on our own with absolutely zero help from staff. To make matters worse, the second room was a sweltering 80°F, and the AC did not successfully drop down to a habitable 72°F until the following morning. We paid thousands of dollars for a luxury resort experience and were instead treated like our own bellhops in a bug-ridden, hot environment. Management acknowledged the failure by granting a single-night credit, but they have rigidly refused a full refund for a vacation that was completely physically and emotionally ruined from day one. Our trust in the Hard Rock brand is entirely shattered. Avoid this property if you expect basic luxury service.
The property was clean and beautiful
The stairway inside the theater is very dangerous to walk when the lights are low. Stairway can use reflective material to make it easier to walk.
Writing this review as I sit in our room on our last night....be prepared to WALK and Walk and Walk! 1. Rooms - we were in a Caribbean Sand Suite in building 1 which is farthest from the lobby area, but close to the beach and pools. Rooms are very spacious but ZERO drawer space to unpack clothes for the week so be prepared to keep everything in your suitcase except for hanging clothes. Our AC stayed on 65 all week and room stayed cooled and we also kept our shades closed as well. 2. Pools/beach - we are a HOF members so stayed at the members pool all week and the beach a few days. The beach is massive and gorgeous. It's fairly windy, so while on the beach it feels good. Service at the pools and beach was great and never really went thirsty or hungry. The main pool has a DJ daily, so it's the more lively pool and the biggest. Seems like there are pools wherever you turn, so plenty of space for all. Chairs get reserved early, so be prepared and there seems to be one umbrella for 4 chairs, so finding shade can be tricky. We had 6 chairs every day and couldn't find more than 2 umbrellas. 3. Food - pool/beach side food is good and plenty of options. There are a few food trucks near the beach access points, so it's convenient not having to walk up to the restaurants. All of the restaurants are good, but we had a horrible experience at Impanema....think the A/C was out as they only had fans blowing and the service was terrible. The meat options only came to our table twice, so we left early due to lack of service and it being terribly hot. Our favorite was actually Split (sandwich shop) in the main lobby...kind of like a Subway but scaled down. For breakfast we ate at Isla every morning since it was nearest our room. Plenty of options for every age of life. If you get to breakfast after 9am, be prepared to wait. 4. Staff - Our butlers Jose and Jean Carlos were great. Satisfied every request we had timely and effectively. Pool staff was attentive and helpful. Overall - we would come back at some point. The hotel is dated and you can tell in some areas, but always seemed to have staff doing regular maintenance.
This is our third HR hotel experience. This is a huge property which we knew. This didn’t bother us because we have teen kids that are active. We found it easier to walk than wait for the shuttle. We were in building 1. Furthest from the lobby. However right beside the Isla restaurant and pool. We enjoyed both. I already had low expectations for food to so I wasn’t as disappointed as others. Nothing here is great but didn’t mind Zen and the small Italian place. Kids had fun with the escape rooms, bowling and laser tag but they are costly. Spa was great. Night life lagged. Pools closed at 6pm so no night swimming. Waterpark was geared more for smaller kids. Beach was great when we were there. Service at the beach bar was quick because not many people were there. Most of the places to grab food by the pools took way too long to get food. With a hotel this large it should be more efficient and half of the time they were out of most things. We’re glad we came for the memories but won’t be back.
My husband, 17-year-old daughter, 19-year-old son, and I traveled from late July to early August. We stayed 6 nights and 7 days. Made a reservation with the member and saved money. Check-in was easy since I booked with a member. There was a separate desk for member check-in pass the regular check-in counters. It was hot and humid. I am from the Midwest, so I am used to the weather. I expected it to be hotter, but it wasn’t. In the pool, you don’t feel it. The place is huge. We took about 10,000 to 15,000 steps a day, sometimes more. Once you know where everything is, it gets easier. It took me one day but only a few hours for my kids. I am slow. Lol. We stayed at 7B and walked everywhere. It was faster than waiting for the tram, which could be full. There are many pools and pool chairs are always available. It’s a bit hard to find shaded areas, though. We arrived around 9:30 am and got an umbrella with four lounge chairs. Many people reserve seats and don’t return for hours. There is always a nearby food place. The beach was beautiful. Rough sea but clean. Lounge chairs were available. Food was okay. We tried all the places. My favorites were Isla Gastro Market for lunch and Bistro Med for breakfast. Arrived at Zen and Toro just before they opened and we were seated. It’s busy everywhere around 7 pm and later. There were a bunch of food stands during dinner in the lobby area near the restaurants. All the employees were very nice and friendly. Some are a lot nicer than others. The room was okay and as clean as it could be. I didn’t use housekeeping, just got new towels each day. The casino is small but fun. I lost some money but didn’t expect to win any. Enjoyed ice cream during the late afternoon in the main lobby area. I wished there was a bit more entertainment in the moon lounge. We really enjoyed the music and games they played. We enjoyed our stay.
Su locación y su gente.
La limpieza. La comodidad. El colchón tenía alambres
Loved Ivet at the pool area, her and her team were amazing.
Could never catch a trolly and some elevators not working for my 76 year old parents
Being a frequent visitor to the Hard Rock Hotel between 2014 and 2019 (I think we went there 4-5 times in this period, always with a great experience), I have to say that the standard dropped WAY BELOW our previous experiences, mainly for three reasons: 1. Food quality was really poor (everything tasted the same, poor variety between restaurants). 2. Restaurant waiters this time were AWFUL at all restaurants (the only one we did not visit was the Mexican restaurant, Los Gallos). We always had great experiences with staff before (between 2014 and 2019) — they were usually very welcoming and provided great service — but this time it seemed like an entirely different resort. Everyone acted like they couldn’t care less, doing everything as if they were doing us a favor; everyone seemed busy and unwelcoming. When we needed to call a waiter for our drinks or anything else, most of them pretended not to see us (most of the time we simply got tired of waiting and one of us had to get up and go straight to the bar); sometimes we finally managed to get a waiter to come to our table after a long wait, but even then we had to ask multiple times for the same thing because it seemed like they had simply forgotten about us. 3. The overall transport system between blocks inside the hotel also got worse. Back then, there was only one route covering the entire hotel, but now the multiple-route system was very confusing and made us lose a lot of time waiting and switching between lines to get where we wanted; the trolleys were also often full, further increasing our waiting time just to move around. We had the HIGHEST expectations for our vacation (backed up by our previous excellent stays), and they were completely let down by this dramatic change in the hotel’s overall policy and management. This hotel went from a place we considered “something special” to just one more generic all-inclusive resort. Being legendary members, we’ve always told our friends they must go there. It saddens me to think that we helped two families book their reservations for September and December this year — BEFORE we went there ourselves. Now that our trip turned into an absolute disaster, we feel very ashamed of what we promised our friends about their vacations, because we gave them the same high expectations. They may end up blaming us for their bad experience. Overall, we found this kind of culture now present throughout the hotel, and I find it hard to believe it will ever again be that awesome place we once knew. From now on, I think we’ll need to explore other resort options that can better suit us.
Arrived at the airport the same time as other planes. Plenty crowded and luggage was already there when we reached the carousel. Private transportation picked us up and drove us right to our building at the resort. Butlers and support members were there to greet us. There was no communication with the Butlers before we arrived. No reservations were made in advance. I believe they may have had the wrong phone number given to them for What’s App. They connected with our daughter when we arrived and she was able to get the situation fixed. Disappointed that we were in building #1 since we were told we would be in one of the casino High Roller Suites. While our suite was ok, we have stayed in nicer suites. We were there to celebrate high school graduation with our grandson and the rest of his family. It was never acknowledged even though we had told people. After dinner we returned to our rooms and discovered the air conditioning was insufficient. Sleep wasn’t the best in a warm room. Maintenance came the next morning to make an adjustment. It may have improved the temperature by 1-2 degrees. Still on the warm side. The thermostat had to be adjusted one more time during the week. Our poolside chairs were reserved every day. Our Butlers, Jose and Anderson were there to reserve chars, make dinner reservations, and handled all of our needs. At the pool, Scooby Doo, always had a smile and attended to any wants. Several days we had Nury as our server. Always there when we needed something. One thing we did notice was HOF members seemed to get better service than we did as a Chairman. Asked to have a cooler to keep water and ice at the pool. HOF received it, but we never had a cooler the entire week. We usually went to Isla for breakfast where we met Katherine. She always had a beautiful smile. We sat with her each day at breakfast. At Toro, we were served by Winde. Great service. All restaurants had good food. Ciao was our favorite. During the week we had mani/pedis. Veronica & Gisselle did a great job. Our Chairman massages were done by Angela & Gabriella. We were picked up by our building when we left. The drivers we had both ways got us where we needed to be. The airport was a disaster. We couldn’t believe how long the lines were for each section. First through security, then passport control, then immigration. All lines were very long. It felt like cattle being herded through several gates. If we ever come back, I hope there is an improvement there! We missed seeing Osman but Alexander met with us. I did communicate with Osman and he did say he wouldn’t be able to see us.
While the hard rock is generally amazing, the shift to making the resort a far more family friendly environment has created an unwelcoming vacation spot for young adults looking to celebrate & party. If you like kids knocking into you a few times a day, this is the spot for you. (Club hours & on resort bars used to be far more exciting with longer hours, closed walls + karaoke pre 2020)
We are presently at the resort and there were multiple issues with one of the rooms we booked. We checked in last night and there’s been no resolution. It’s unacceptable and highly inconvenient. We have been to the desk twice and received no solution. Attempts to reach someone by phone have been unsuccessful. The sales pitch to buy into the property is ludicrous considering the poor service thus far. Of note Dany Sanchez of LV and Greta were professional and polite. The island and people are beautiful and kind. Hopefully by the end of the week our review will be more positive.

Alisha was very helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable.
We spent 6 days and 5 nights at this resort, and while our experience wasn’t terrible, it’s not a place we’ll return to. The resort is absolutely massive, but there aren’t nearly enough trolleys to get guests around. You can either wait 15–20 minutes for a trolley or spend 15–20 minutes walking to your destination. On two separate days, one person in our group walked over 6 miles just going back and forth between our room, the pools, the beach, and dinner. That became exhausting very quickly. The food was another disappointment. The Mexican restaurant was the only dinner I truly enjoyed. The hibachi was decent, but both Italian restaurants were underwhelming. One evening, no one in our group even finished their meal. One of the biggest frustrations was the dining system. Only two restaurants accept reservations, and despite trying, we were only able to get a reservation at one of them during our entire stay. For every other restaurant, we waited around an hour to be seated during peak dinner times, which made evenings feel like they revolved around standing in line instead of enjoying our vacation. The food trucks were also repetitive—they all served essentially the same menu of chicken tenders, burgers, chicken sandwiches, and fries. Since those same options were available late at night as well, we were all tired of eating the same food by the end of the trip. The service was average at best. While a few employees were friendly, most interactions felt very transactional, and no one really seemed interested in making the experience memorable. We even had a couple of encounters where staff members at the food trucks were noticeably rude while taking our orders. Although this is advertised as an all-inclusive resort, keep in mind that many of the activities families are likely to want—bowling, laser tag, the arcade, mini golf, and the escape room—cost extra. “All-inclusive” really just covers the food and drinks. The water park is included, and our kids had a great time there, but the bar at the water park only serves beer for adults, which was a little disappointing. The rooms themselves were nice enough. We didn’t have any major issues, and the beds were comfortable. However, across all three rooms our group booked, none of the air conditioners kept the rooms cool enough to sleep comfortably. Every night felt too warm, even without using the blankets. The beach is beautiful. The sand is incredibly soft, the water is clear, and everything was clean. However, because the beach is so wide, the chairs and cabanas are set a long distance from the water, which made hauling everything back and forth with kids inconvenient. Another downside was that there were constant vendors walking the beach trying to sell excursions, souvenirs, massages, and other items. It felt like every few minutes someone was approaching us, making it difficult to truly relax and enjoy the beach. The one standout experience for me was the spa. My massage and facial were excellent, and the spa staff provided the best service we received during our entire stay. It was easily the highlight of the trip. Overall, while there were some positives, they weren’t enough to outweigh the frustrations. Between the excessive walking, long waits for dinner, underwhelming food, average service, and the extra costs for many family activities, this isn’t a resort we’d choose to visit again.
I prepaid two rooms in full before arriving at Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana. Despite having paid in advance, I was charged for both rooms again at check-in because the hotel failed to recognize my prepaid reservations. The hotel later acknowledged that the duplicate charges were made in error. What makes this experience especially frustrating is that I tried to resolve the issue every day during my vacation. Rather than enjoying the trip I had already paid for, I spent time at the front desk and speaking with hotel staff attempting to correct the billing error. Despite my repeated efforts, no one was able to resolve the issue before I left the resort. Since returning home, I have continued trying to resolve this matter and have been doing so since my stay in May. Although some refunds have been issued, the hotel still owes me over $700. I have repeatedly provided reservation confirmations, credit card statements, and a detailed reconciliation of the charges, yet this matter remains unresolved after more than two months. What is most disappointing is not that a billing error occurred, because mistakes can happen. It is the complete lack of urgency and accountability in correcting a documented mistake. No guest should have to spend part of their vacation trying to fix a problem created by the hotel, only to spend months afterward continuing to chase the remaining refund. I genuinely hoped Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana would stand behind its customer service and resolve this matter promptly. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. Until the remaining refund is issued, I cannot recommend staying here based on how this situation has been handled.
My stay at this hotel was disappointing overall. The language barrier made it very difficult to communicate with the employees, which affected the overall experience. The rooms were not clean, and the food was average at best. The beach was also not well maintained and was dirty. The only highlight of the trip was the entertainment, which was excellent and kept us entertained throughout our stay. Unfortunately, because of the cleanliness issues, communication difficulties, and overall quality, 1 would not return to this hotel.
Beautiful resort and Lobby. I do not recommend this resort for families because you will pay $10K for a week and the concierge will stop talking to you if you don’t buy a 30 year timeshare. Very messed up practices. NOT worth the money.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely incredible experience! From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything about our stay at the Hard Rock Hotel exceeded our expectations. The resort is beautiful, the rooms are spotless and comfortable, the food was delicious, and every staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. The highlight of our trip was definitely the entertainment team! They brought so much energy and positivity every single day, making every activity exciting and creating such a fun atmosphere around the resort. A huge thank you to Leonardo, who truly went above and beyond to make sure everyone was having an amazing time. His enthusiasm, friendliness, and ability to get everyone involved made such a difference. Whether it was games, activities, or just interacting with guests, Leonardo always had a smile on his face and made every moment unforgettable. The entertainment team turned what would have been a great vacation into an absolutely unforgettable one. They made us laugh, kept us entertained, and created memories we’ll be talking about for years. If you’re looking for a resort where you’ll not only relax but also have an incredible time, the Hard Rock Hotel is the place to be. We already can’t wait to come back, and we hope to see Leonardo and the amazing entertainment team again on our next visit!

⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) This was, without a doubt, the worst all-inclusive resort experience I have ever had. The problems started at check-in, which took almost one hour. During the process, the staff repeatedly encouraged us to use the hotel’s own booking platform while discouraging us from booking through Booking.com, which felt unprofessional and inappropriate. The resort is enormous, but that quickly becomes a disadvantage. Most restaurants, pools, and amenities are very far apart, so you depend on the internal shuttle carts to get around. Unfortunately, the transportation is inconsistent, and I often found myself waiting or walking long distances in the heat. To make matters worse, I learned that there are different transportation options and privileges for guests who pay for memberships or upgrades, something that is never clearly explained when you book your stay. The food was mediocre at best and often disappointing. The drinks were equally poor, frequently tasting watered down or poorly prepared. For a luxury resort at this price point, the quality was far below expectations. What frustrated me even more was the constant feeling that “all-inclusive” doesn’t actually mean all-inclusive. Everywhere you go, someone is trying to sell you something better: premium alcohol, upgraded experiences, exclusive areas, cabanas, memberships, or extra services. Instead of relaxing, I constantly felt like I was being marketed to. On the public beach, I was approached by someone offering massages. After the massage, the agreed price suddenly changed, and the person became aggressive. Although I understand the beach is public and this individual was not a hotel employee, guests should at least be warned about these scams. The worst part of the trip happened after I complained to the front desk about my experience. As an apology, the hotel offered us four complimentary massages. However, when we went to redeem them, we were trapped for almost five hours in an extremely aggressive Vacation Club sales presentation. We repeatedly explained that we were not interested, yet they continued pressuring us. What was presented as compensation turned into one of the most stressful experiences of my vacation. By the end of my stay, I genuinely felt that the hotel’s main priority was selling memberships, upgrades, and additional services, not providing guests with an enjoyable vacation. I have stayed at many hotels around the world, and I have never experienced so many problems in a single trip. For the amount of money charged, there are far better resorts in Punta Cana. I would not return, and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, hassle-free all-inclusive vacation.
Todo! Volveríamos.
Nos encantó todo!
The location is perfect. The resort is located on the white sand beaches of Punta Cana. The rooms are really well appointed with quality toiletries and good bed linens. The beach views are spectacular. The pool decks lack cleaning and chairs loungers are old. Staff do not clean areas when patrons leave and food is scattered around the pool deck causing ants. Not typical for Hard Rock brand. I have stayed at locations in Mexico and its always clean. This is disappointing. Entertainment is wonderful but at night the main Bars (Eclipse & Moon Bars) are overrun by strollers and kids making getting a cocktail challenging
Food subpar, service laughable, long waits for everything, check in is a joke, rooms dirty, worst vacation I’ve been on.
Quarto excelente.
