A beautiful stay in gorgeous Taormina
There was nothing we weren’t happy with
Top place with amazing staff! We received a room upgrade and we were stunned about the room that was offered to us. The gentleman from the reception was so happy to see our faces when he showed us the room. Everything was well explained he suggested us a local driver to visit Etna. It was quite expensive but worth every cent. We learned so much about Sicily in these 3-4 hours. We will return and highly highly recommend this wonderful place with wonderful staff!

Great location. Good restaurants nearby.
Paying for parking. Crane in front of us ruined the view from our sea view room.
L’emplacement, l’accueil, la qualité des prestations
הכל היה נהדר, הנוף מקסים, מיקום מצוין, הצוות כולו היה אדיב מאוד, בקבלה, בחדר האוכל, במסעדה בבריכה, בחנייה
The staff were brilliant from the moment we walked in. Like welcoming you into their house in an old fashioned way that’s lost with a lot of modern hotels. The location is great with 10 min walk to the town centre and the rooms were immaculately clean and well furnished. The hotel has beautiful gardens and a swimming pool as well.
There could have been a little bit more choice at breakfast but honestly struggling to criticise much.

Staff extremely helpful and it was a great location
Everything. It’s what you want in Taormina. Luxury, location, service amazing

Beautiful hotel, amazing views. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean. Location is great, 10 min walking distance to shops. Breakfast had great selection of pastries, fresh fruits, everything you would want and more. We had a wonderful stay, thank you.

My family of four enjoyed our stay at Hotel Villa Belvedere! The location is perfect - just off the main street in Taormina and easy access to the beach via the stairs (600 - not for the faint of heart) or the cable car which is much easier and scenic. The hotel itself is impeccably clean, comfortable and well maintained. The pool area has spectacular views of the ocean and has a full kitchen/bar and seating area. Coming back to the hotel for a swim after a day of sightseeing or beach time was a highlight of the trip. But by far the best part of staying here is the staff, who treat everyone like family - special shout out to ** Rita **, who served breakfast each morning. We absolutely adored her and she made us feel so special and welcome. The concierge staff was also wonderful and helped us arrange beach club, boat tour and restaurant reservations. We can't thank them enough for making our trip easy and fun. Taormina is a beautiful place, made even better by the people and culture. We can't wait to come back!
Spent our 25th wedding anniversary here. All staff were lovely, polite and friendly, especially Rita and the Breakfast crew. Very clean. Highly recommend
We had a really great stay at the hotel. Perfect location - quiet with a beautiful view, yet short walk to the busy area with shops and restaurants. Great daily breakfast with a view over Taormina. The pool area was wonderful for a relaxing afternoon and the lunch by the pool was delicious as well. We stayed in a unit in a separate building across the street which wasn’t a big deal - we had a large unit with balcony and great view! Would definitely stay there again. Staff was super friendly and helpful with any requests.
酒店服务非常的好,前台很热情,距离汽车总站不远,方便拖行李前往,海景很不错。
房间隔音不好,建议带耳塞入住。
Great location , few mins walk from town. Lovely staff.
If you are going to Taormina this is the place to stay. Actually, if you are coming to Sicily, I would consider this wonderful, unique family owned hotel with great atmosphere. I stayed here for almost a week in the end July with my mother and we were both very happy with this choice .The hotel is beautifully situated next to the public gardens and has a stunning view over Naxos bay. The staff is professional and friendly and the cleaning spotless. The breakfast buffe is outstanding with fresh fruit, all kinds of bread and cheeses, nuts and local delicatessen and cakes. You can order extra dishes for free and we tried the pancake, crepe and the coffee granita. All delicious. We had lunch in the pool area and tried several tasty pasta dishes. Their tiramisu is unforgettable. The pool area is beautiful in the beginning of the evening when you see the lights from Naxos bay and the yachts being lit and you hear the bird song for the hotel's garden. Thank you Hotel Villa Belvedere for a memorable stay! We would love to come back some day. Kind regards, Ismael K.
Spent a week in Taormina at this gem. This time we had the pleasure of staying in a junior suite. This is our fourth time back at this hotel, the first visit was back in 2017. The hotel keeps getting better and better every time, and the rooms and building is kept perfectly Italian, it is not ruined by modern trends. Yet, it has everything you would want, and the pool with its nice breeze from the sea below is cooling even on the hotter days. The only thing that is not up to date is the gym, but I'm sure this is on Mr. Pècaut's plan for future upgrades. As always: The food is delisios, both the breakfast with fresh crepes and omelettes made to order, and the lunch with perfect pasta under the olive tree by the pool. Enjoy the warm and professional staff of Rita, Leonardo and Ludmila - time after time. This is a favourite, and we will be back.
Atención maravillosa, precioso, con vistas espectaculares, impecable. ❤️
We stayed for 5 nights at the Hotel Villa Belvedere on a bed and breakfast basis. From the second we arrived, we couldn’t have felt more welcome. Joseph greeted us with a welcome Prosecco/beer, and a short talk on some of the key sights, tour options and restaurant recommendations. The villa was decorated in a traditional Sicilian style which we loved. Our room was ready before 3.00pm, and we were allocated no. 47 which was one level up from reception at the top of the stairs. it was huge, with a small balcony with just enough space for two chairs. We overlooked the pool and the bay of Gardinia Naxos…it was stunning. The room had everything we needed plus more…lots of storage space, a fridge, safe, tea and coffee making facilities, and a very well stocked bathroom with lots of counter space for our products. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast on the terrace (one floor down from reception) was the best way to start the day. Options ranged from everything you would expect in a continental breakfast, along with Sicilian specialities, and bacon/sausages. Cereals, fruits, pastries and juices were plentiful, and Prosecco was available to make a Buck’s Fizz if needed! You could order à la carte it’s such as eggs/omelettes, crepes and granitas - highly recommend the peach flavour with a brioche bun. The breakfast staff were incredible - constantly checking if we wanted anything else, bringing us more cappuccinos, clearing promptly - all with a smile on their faces. The pool terrace was stunning. Towels are provided free of charge and we always managed to find a sun lounger no matter the time of day. The pool was a lovely temperature and a welcome relief from the heat of the day. There is a shower and toilet on the terrace. There is a snack bar / restaurant which is open until about 6pm (food between 12-4) which serves a huge range of drinks and a good range of lunch options. We enjoyed the bruschetta, tomato salad and melon and ham in particular…everything we had was delicious and the portion sizes were decent for a lunch ‘snack’. We also enjoyed Messina Beer, mojitos, proseccos and Aperol Spritz’ round the pool. It was such a peaceful and stunning place to be, and I think we spent time there every day apart from one. Location wise, it was PERFECT. The hotel is right next door to the Villa Comunale di Taormina, the public gardens, so we would stroll through the beautiful grounds to Corso Umberto each night, rather than walking along the road. It was about 7 mins to Corso Umberto, and 10 minute walk to Teatro Antico di Taormina. We didn’t hear any road noise from outside the hotel. It genuinely was so peaceful and within reach of the main sites of Taormina. I would 100% recommend anyone to stay at this hotel, and would return without hesitation. Its main asset is its incredible staff, who could not be more accommodating and willing to help, be it from ordering us taxis, bringing an iron to our room, to remembering our morning drink. They were all wonderful and we are missing them, the hotel and Taormina already x
This hotel is truly a slice of paradise in Taormina. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Joshua at the front desk, and the exceptional service continued throughout our entire stay. The breakfast team was incredibly attentive, friendly, and always made us feel at home. The location is perfect, set in a picturesque area with breathtaking views of the coastline, yet only a few minutes’ walk from Corso Umberto, as well as Taormina’s wonderful bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is full of authentic Sicilian charm. Rather than modernizing everything, they’ve preserved the beautiful antique furniture and the character of the property. The pool area, surrounded by lush plants and colorful flowers, feels like a true Italian oasis. It has a timeless elegance that’s becoming increasingly rare. Breakfast was outstanding every morning. The food was incredibly fresh, with a wonderful variety of authentic Sicilian specialties, seasonal fruits, vegetables, and homemade dishes that changed daily. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making our stay truly splendido!
Everything was excellent! Truly spectacular staff, facilities, room, services on site, assistance in planning for activities, location of hotel...etc etc
Nothing, everything exceeded expectations!
The staff were amazing. You can really tell it is a family run business as they take so much pride and care in their service. They went above and beyond to make our stay special.
The view is amazing everything was clean and organized. Staff extremely helpful and attentive to detail. Pool area was also nice, spacious with an excellent restaurant offering good food amazing cocktails.
This place is incredible with its perfect location, cosy and clean rooms and a very friendly atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us with a great introduction of the hotel. It felt very friendly and caring. The service at breakfast was always excellent and food very itialian and delicate. We stayed at one of the rock suites ans it worked very well. Big room and clean. Housekeeping had no flaw. This hotel is real value for money in Taormina. Only small improvement area would be to have more service at the pool. The guys working there could learn from the ladies at breakfast:) We will be back.
The quality of customer service is ok, but the rooms and swimming pool area look completely outdated. Definitively renovation is needed. Breakfast area was nice, and buffet well prepared and equipped, but the food à la carte wasn’t good at all. We had omlet and posted eggs, but both were very average. Positive point is the location and view from the hotel.
Beautiful tradionial proprty
Gym was not very good
Hermosa habitación. Desayuno muy rico y bien servido. Restaurante de la piscina muy bueno.
This was the most charming little hotel! The service was above and beyond exceptional. Its a family run hotel so it feels so friendly and welcoming. The location was amazing! we walked to the main town area where everything is every day and every evening . The rooms were very spacious and so clean. the grounds were also so clean! Their pool area over looks the fabulous picturesque Naxos bay. The pool is was stunning! the lunch restaurant by the pool had the most insanely delicious food ! best spaghetti in all of Taormina! the staff around the pool , i wanted to take them all home with me !!!! i would definitely go back and would highly recommend this hotel.
Absolutely wonderful stay! Joshua greeted us on arrival and made us feel like we were the only guests staying in the hotel. He mapped everything out, set up a boat tour and arranged for granita and cookies during check-in. He made sure we were comfortable and even upgraded one of our rooms to a sea view. Very short walk to main part of town and a favorite, Bam Bar and shopping. Fantastic views from the pool and peaceful, lovely hotel. One of our favorite hotel stays ever and would come back here if we return to Taormina!
This hotel is superb from the location, to the rooms, the staff, the food , the cocktails - just everything -I cannot fault it. We had a 3 night stay here and it was just perfect - it’s a charming, authentically Italian hotel with a beautiful pool area with stunning views of the bay below. The lunch menu is superb and you can just taste the freshness of the local produce with every mouthful . Breakfast is not to be missed, it’s got something for everyone - don’t forget to order the fresh omelettes and waffles - and a special mention to the granita with brioche - superb. This hotel is what Taormina is all about - stylish, classy, authentic and most of all, just beautiful Thank you for a lovely and memorable experience for our first time in Taormina
Belvedere is rated a 4 star hotel when it should be a 5 star hotel, especially because of its staff commitment to ensure the overall guest experience is exceptional from beginning to end. Four employees in particular made our stay extra special: (1) Rossana at the front desk who always welcomed us with a smile at the front desk; (2) Lucia who went out of her way to bring us an aloe plant to sooth my daughter's jellyfish sting; (3) Joshua who found me a dentist on a Saturday to alleviate a toothache; and (4) Sergio who always made the perfect drinks with a huge smile.
There is nothing we did not like about the Hotel Belvedere. My only comment is that the hotel should have a larger bar where we could have gathered for a pre-dinner drink. It has the space and would elevate the overall experience further complimenting the already luxurious setting.
Such a beautiful room and view was excellent
Most I’ve ever paid for a room
La vue magnifique et le personnel adorable

Returning to lovely Villa Belvedere after many years felt like coming back to an old favourite – only to discover that it had become even better. The hotel has been beautifully enhanced while preserving everything that makes it so special: its elegance, tranquillity and unmistakable Sicilian charm. The views over the sea and Mount Etna remain breathtaking, and the atmosphere is one of relaxed sophistication. A few days into our stay we were surprised with a complimentary room upgrade as returning guests, a thoughtful gesture that perfectly reflects the hotel’s generous hospitality. What truly sets Villa Belvedere apart, however, is its people. Every member of staff we met was warm, professional and genuinely welcoming. Reception made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, breakfast was a delight, the pool bar was a favourite place to spend the afternoons, and housekeeping maintained the highest standards throughout our stay. Luxury is not only about beautiful surroundings – it is about making guests feel cared for. Villa Belvedere succeeds in both. We left with wonderful memories and every intention of returning. Without hesitation, five stars in every category.
Just back after a superb 10 day stay. Completely faultless. Fantastic views, beautiful breakfast on the terrace every morning, rooms very spacious and immaculate. Lovely pool. Entire hotel decor was very classy italian, lots of art, beautifully furnished, great attention to detail. Location - 5 minute walk to the centre of Taormina, with lovely restaurant choices. BEST OF ALL - the service from every member of staff was absolutely outstanding. Very friendly, welcoming and highly professional. They couldn't do enough for you. Normally, we don't go back to the same hotel twice, just to vary things, but in this case we will definitely return to Villa Belvedere!! Thank You all for an amazing holiday!!!
Everything. Comfortable, peaceful, excellent service, beautiful garden, they make you happy. Lunches next to the pool were great, the food was superb, everything fresh, tasted wonderful.
Beautiful location and very accommodating staff
Nothing
This is a beautiful hotel situated in a very convenient and quiet location. The staff were excellent Joshua in particular, who helped us to navigate where we were, booked trips and restaurants for us, was very friendly and efficient. The pool attendant helped us get more shade and was always collecting towels and making sure you had everything you needed. Breakfast was fantastic, especially sitting in the shade on the terrace. The food was varied and everything you could wish for. Also well presented and of course good staff. Our room had a balcony and a great view of the pool and beyond. Couldn’t fault it.
Taormina has become one of Sicily’s most sought-after destinations—and for good reason. Beyond its beauty and the recent ‘White Lotus’ attention, it offers an unforgettable atmosphere. Our stay at Hotel Villa Belvedere made the experience even more special. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a refreshing drink and fresh fruit in our room. Throughout our stay, the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. Breakfast each morning, served with sweeping views of the Mediterranean, was a wonderful way to begin the day, and the peaceful pool area provided a welcome place to relax after exploring the town. Our Classic Room was modest in size but very comfortable. The housekeeping team was especially kind, efficient, and attentive to every detail. During an unusually hot week, the staff also offered excellent recommendations for boat excursions and other ways to enjoy the area while staying cool. What truly set Hotel Villa Belvedere apart, however, was the extraordinary care shown when our flight was unexpectedly canceled in the middle of the night. The team responded with calm professionalism, kindness, and genuine concern, turning what could have been a very stressful experience into one that felt manageable. Their hospitality left a lasting impression, and we are deeply grateful. Hotel Villa Belvedere combines charm, comfort, and exceptional service. We would gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Taormina.
Amazing every thing perfectly special the stuff Everything was outstanding, especially the staff. I would rate this hotel more than 100%! The cleanliness, comfort, location, safety, and above all, the exceptional staff and their willingness to help were simply amazing. I will always choose to stay at this hotel, and I will definitely book it again whenever I visit Taormina in the future. Words cannot truly describe how wonderful this hotel is. Honestly, I was surprised that it is only a four-star hotel—I would personally rate it seven stars. I have stayed in many hotels before, but this one surpasses them all by far, especially because of the incredible staff and their outstanding hospitality and support.

My husband and I traveled around Sicily in mid June and this was our first Hotel on the itinerary. This 4 star hotel gets 5 stars for customer service, it's lovely full buffet breakfast, well air conditioned rooms during a heat wave, and for its employee Joshua, this concierge was beyond helpful and accommodating in every way. He recommended a fantastic restaurant for dinner- Giardini Di Babilona and also booked us a private boat ride on a very nice boat with great shade and a fantastic guide fluent in English. The hotel was conveniently located walking distance into the town of Taormina. I would highly recommend this hotel to discerning travelers.
My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Villa Belvedere on our honeymoon in Sicily, and it was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in…ever. The hotel itself is gorgeous with stunning views of the sea and beautiful gardens. All of the fruiting trees and ivy create such a peaceful atmosphere. Our room was spacious, and we loved our little balcony. The pool is great for those days you don’t want to trek down to the beach (we did both usually). The breakfast was wonderful as well. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the hallways smell amazing. The location is absolutely perfect as well. Taormina can be tricky with it being on a cliff. I’d hate to have to be down low near the water and have to climb up or rely on a shuttle to get to town. This hotel is a quick walk into town and a quick walk to the gondolas/steps down. The bus is also close by, which we used to go to Giardini Naxos. Above all, the thing that stood out the most to us, even with all the amazing things the hotel offers, was the hospitality. Everyone who worked there was so nice and accommodating. We felt truly taken care of. The attention to detail and customer service felt genuine. My husband and I already plan to return on a future anniversary and will be staying at the Villa Belvedere.
Hotel is nice but some staff at the front desk are tired and have an attitude of ‘couldnt be bothered ‘.Almost seems like some of them havent travelled before and do not understand the real importance of what a ‘real’ comcierge with connections and knowledge can do ! The hotel is pretty the position is good . Dont use their parking service as there is covered parking 50 m before the hotel . After 2 nights our bmw was covered in bird poo and we had to ask the guy to remove it before we left .. if not he wouldnt have ! Feels like the hotel gets clients anyway as taormona is popular BUT the front staff are lacking in professionalism , enthusiasm and kindness … perhaps they could benefit from a holiday ?
Fantastic motivated staff that made you feel at home.

My wife and I have just returned home from a super weeks' stay at Hotel Villa Belvedere in Taormina; in fact, we think it is the best holiday we have ever had! The hotel is located an easy stroll (5 minutes) from the centre of the town, where you can find all the shops, bars and restaurants you could wish for. We thought we might have to do a lot of hill climbing given the elevated location of the main town, but the hotel is pretty much at the same level as the town centre so getting around on foot is easy. There is also a beautiful public garden right next to the hotel that you can walk through when heading into town. We had a sea view room with a large terrace which gave stunning views (I would definitely recommend choosing a sea view option if you can). The hotel is traditionally styled / furnished and all the decor in the rooms and main hotel areas looks fresh and is kept spotlessly clean. We often stay in more modern looking hotels, but we are so glad we chose the more traditional style for our stay in Taormina as it fits in perfectly with the charm of the town and we felt very at home. Our room wasn't quite ready on arrival, but we were given a complimentary glass of prosecco and had a wonderful welcome briefing from Adriana who explained all about the resort and helped us plan activities and gave us recommendations for restaurants etc. Breakfast in the hotel was lovely, with a good range of Italian favourites including freshly made pastries, Italian meats/cheeses/antipasti, as well as hot options (including eggs / pancakes / waffles cooked to order). The pool area is a lovely spot to relax and take in the views out to sea when you are not exploring the town. We had no trouble getting sun-loungers, regardless of the time of day we turned-up. The pool bar is also very nice and serves good quality lunches if you don't want to go into town. There is no restaurant service in the hotel in the evening, but there is so much choice in the town this was not a problem at all. Most of the restaurants offer Italian cuisine, especially seafood and fresh pasta, pizza etc. We tried restaurants at different price-points and every meal we had was lovely (although the wine was quite expensive compared to what we would normally get in the UK with the cheapest bottles starting around the 35 EUR mark). If you like the beach, then there are some nice pebbly beaches in Taormina. They are a bit of a trek to reach downhill: We walked down the MANY steps to get there (only advisable if you are pretty fit) but took the cable car back to town on return, which was only 6 EUR each and good fun. We paid 20 EUR each for a beach sun-lounger for the day and there are a nice selection of bars / restaurants on the beach for lunch & snacks. One of the excursions Adriana recommended was a boat trip from nearby Giardini-Naxos along the coastline, with a guide pointing out the main sights (accompanied by a few glasses of prosecco) and we would definitely recommend this - especially with private taxis picking us up from the hotel to the harbour and back again (all sorted out by the hotel). There was a real family-feel to the hotel and all of the staff (front desk, housekeeping, restaurant, bar, pool) were delightful. They could not do enough to make us feel welcome, and always gave a big smile. Every staff member is a credit to the hotel: "thank you to you all". We usually go for a 5-star hotel when we go on holiday, and were initially put off by the 4-star rating of Hotel Villa Belvedere, but decided to give it a try due to the very favourable Trip Advisor reviews... and we are so glad we did. If, like us, you like your holidays to be super-luxurious, then please do not be put off by the 4-star rating. We had a better time at Hotel Villa Belvedere than anywhere else we have stayed. We will definitely return. I hope this review is helpful if you are considering visiting yourself. You won't regret it!
large room, well appointed, superb view of coast and mt Etna
like all hotels in Taormina belvedere was very expensive, at least 30% more than any 5 star hotel I've stayed in, but HB is 4 stars. A beautiful hotel with great views but a very high price for staying in a fashionable and very touristy town
I have stayed in many hotels throughout my life. Some were more luxurious, larger, or more impressive in different ways, but what I experienced here was something I have never experienced anywhere else. After just three nights, I felt as if I were visiting close family members who had not seen me for a long time. I felt welcomed, appreciated, and genuinely cared for. That feeling cannot be created by beautiful interiors or luxury amenities – it comes from people. A special thank you to Marco at the reception and Rita in the dining room, whose warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality made me feel completely at home. Their smiles, attention, and care made all the difference. This hotel reminded me that there are still places in the world that are not your home, yet somehow make you feel as though they are. Thank you for that. I will return, not only because of the beautiful hotel and its wonderful location, but above all because of the people who give it its soul.
It was absolutely gorgeous and my sweet had a balcony overlooking the sea. The gardens were amazing to walk-through and the location was great to walk into town.
The breakfast were delicious and I could sit overlooking the sea and the gardens.
Excellent breakfast and location
My wife and I recently celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary in Taormina. We could have stayed anywhere in Sicily, and after considerable research we chose Villa Belvedere because of its long family history, outstanding reputation, and intimate atmosphere. We selected one of the Rock Infinity Suites and it exceeded every expectation. The suite offered breathtaking views from sunrise over the Bay of Naxos to sunset behind Mount Etna. The private terrace and outdoor shower made it difficult to leave the room, yet the hotel itself was only moments away and provided every service we could have wanted. What truly sets Villa Belvedere apart, however, is its people. In more than 40 years of international travel, we have rarely encountered a team that was so warm, gracious, professional, and genuinely invested in making our stay memorable. Special thanks to Joshua, Rosanna, Adriana, and Marco, who helped coordinate everything from restaurant reservations to day trips and local recommendations. Villa Belvedere delivers something increasingly rare: authentic hospitality. It feels less like a hotel and more like being welcomed into a beautiful Sicilian home. Our stay was flawless from beginning to end, and we left with wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. My only hesitation in writing such a glowing review is selfish—I hope there will still be a room available when we return. And return we most certainly will.
Spent a week here for our tenth anniversary. We'd spent our honeymoon at the Belvedere and loved the hotel, and Taormina, so much we promised ourselves we would return for this milestone. We were not disappointed. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. On arrival, we were given a choice of two beautiful junior suites. We chose the more rustic suite that had three terraces and a sea view. Far, far more than we had expected. It was extremely spacious, had a quirky layout and was literally seconds from the breakfast room. Breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice including cereals, fruit, cold meats, pastries, cheeses, etc. Omelettes can be requested and are made fresh. As it was our anniversary, the staff surprised us with a specially baked cake one morning. It was a lovely touch and much appreciated. It is a well located hotel. Turn left as you leave the hotel and within ten minutes you'll reach the main thoroughfare. There are restaurants and bars aplenty, as well as many shops to spend your money in. It is an expensive resort however. Just seconds from the hotel is Trevalyn Park. It is lovely. It is full of fantastical follies and exotic plants (though maybe not exotic in Sicily). The temperature is notably lower in the park as well. It is easily my favourite park. I remembered it from our honeymoon and it was a joy to walk through it again. The ancient amphitheatre is about a ten to fifteen minute "climb" (I exaggerate) from the hotel. It is worth a visit though, for the glorious views alone. Castelmolla, the mountaintop village above Taormina, is also worth a visit. We were sad to leave and got surprisingly emotional when saying our goodbyes. As I said, the staff had been exceptionally friendly and helpful. Even as we checked out, we were given a voucher for a free meal by the pool as we had a long wait for our transfer to arrive. That's two visits to the Belvedere we've had and thoroughly enjoyed both. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so special.
Great location. Old school charm. Comfortable room. Excellent staff. Really felt like home. Pool felt like the 1950’s. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay again! Also, if you’re traveling with small kids, it is a three minute walk to the beautiful park and playground.
Сервіс в готелі просто неймовірний, особливо увесь персонал дуже турботливо відносяться до гостей з першої хвилини перебування до відʼїзду!
Сподобалось абсолютно все! Чудовий готель .
Location Pool
Steep driveway but the staff takes your car out and in
Clean, good location, amazing view and very professional staff
We have returned from yet another highly enjoyable stay in the Villa Belvedere. The bedroom seaview was spectacular. The breakfast buffet was , as usual, excellent with a wide variety of choice whilst the pool restaurant expansive menu meant that we were never tempted into Taormina at lunchtime. The gardens in May are full of colour. The bedrock of this superb hotel are the staff who warmly welcomed us and did everything they could to ensure the holiday was memorable. I can't mention everyone but special thanks to Rita, Ludmilla, Guiseppe, Sergio, Angela and the entire Reception team. We look forward to our next holiday i the Villa Belvedere
Mixed experience Hotel is in a beautiful place with views over the sea Our first room was rustic and a little dated made worse by the mosquitoes (the cleaners left the doors open) we moved to a much more swish room (9) modern and luxurious Breakfast was good, lunch fabulous - caprese and pasta but they didn’t serve dinner Reception friendly especially on check in when they wanted us to book a boat tour A bit disorganised on check out and on booking a dinner reservation for us which never happened We ended on a negative with taxi driver trying to rip us off Big row- despite us booking taxi through hotel to avoid complications Probably wouldn’t stay there again
Beautiful hotel, lovely staff and a tranquil location
This place is paradise on earth! Such a beautiful location, with terraced gardens that create stunning photo opportunities around every corner as a frame to amazing sea views. I cannot praise the staff - from the top down - highly enough. So friendly and helpful. As an odd numbered friend group, we really appreciated the upgrade to a suite for three of us, and the way the hotel was incredibly accommodating to all our needs. Breakfast and lunch was always delicious with loads of choice. I cannot wait to come back! Thank you Christian and all the Belvedere staff.
I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the beautiful, peaceful Villa Belvedere for four nights at the end of May, visiting with four girlfriends. It was so welcoming from the very start, with prosecco on arrival, an introduction to the local sights with a map and recommendations. The manager gave us a fantastic upgrade so that three friends could share a spacious suite together. Every member of staff we met was warm and attentive, with a friendly "Buongiorno!": we felt like family. No request was too much, from making restaurant reservations to answering questions about the original artworks. From the balcony of my room on the top floor, we had a stunning view of the sea, Naxos Bay and the snow capped craters of Mount Etna. The hotel has terraces and delightful gardens brimming with flowers and trees offering shade so it was possible to find a tranquil spot, however hot the sun. We spent our days relaxing by the pool, enjoying the freshly cooked lunches from the pool side restaurant and then exploring the pretty, bustling streets of Taormina. Another bonus of the hotel is its location: we were able to walk to the neighbouring botanic gardens, an array of shops and restaurants and the famous amphitheatre whilst staying in a haven of calm each night. I can't give the hotel a bigger compliment than saying I'm already planning a return visit to this classy, charming corner of Taormina!
This review really doesn't do the Hotel Villa Belvedere justice! We visited for four nights and and five days at the end of May and from the moment we arrived, the welcome and attention to our party given, by every member of staff, was second to none. The hotel and gardens are like being dropped into paradise. Everything is immaculate, charming and beautiful. The pool and poolside food is fabulous. We were treated as though our visit really mattered by all of the lovely staff. I have visited many times over the years and all those who have been with me have also made return visits. The manager upgraded our room and extended our checkout time and could not have done more to make our visit perfect. Thank you, we look forward to our next visit.
One might be on the road for sometime until they arrive home where one’s needs and wishes are met in advance, effortlessly. The ambient and the engagement of the staff create an atmosphere of great ease and tranquility. An experience one shouldn’t miss
The staff here truly understand hospitality. Every team member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, offering fantastic local recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed with a genuine smile. If you love climbing, there are fantastic climbing areas located incredibly close to the hotel. It was so convenient to head out for a day on the rock and return to total comfort.
I had a really nice lunch in Villa Belvedere, the setting is breathtaking : by the pool, among the flowers, it’s a haven of peace. The meal was delicious and the staff was so professional, attentive and available. I recommend 100%.
I’ve just had the absolute pleasure of staying at this charming hotel. From the moment of arrival it was clear that this place puts guest experience as a top priority. Service is faultlessly warm and courteous, with nothing too much trouble for the team. The ambience is calm, relaxing, understated elegance in impeccable taste from furnishings to decor and home comforts such as interesting bookshelves and cosy nooks to relax in. The bedroom was spotless, refreshed daily and with a balcony view that took our breath away every time we stepped out onto it. We loved the pool, with sun loungers surrounded by lush gardens all cared for and bursting with flowers, scented Jasmine and fruit trees, with the bar serving light bites and delicious pasta dishes, meat or fish and tasty desserts at lunchtime. The breakfast set is up for the day and had a fantastic, generous range of meats, fruits, pastries and savoury items accompanied by fresh juices and coffees or tea. Villa Belvedere is perfectly situated to easily explore the delightful town of Taormina on foot. Not cheap, but worth every penny in my view and I cannot wait to return to Signor Pecaut’s beautifully run little corner of paradise! Highly recommended without a shred of hesitation- quite simply the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
Absolutely beautiful and amazing location. Very nice staff they made me feel like i lived there
Small but thing but the way our shower was caused water to flood the bathroom
This is a lovely hotel! The rooms are comfy, the views of the Mediterranean fantastic and all the facilities (pool, breakfast - such a range!, lunch facilities) are 5-star quality. Food is delicious. However, the staff is what makes this hotel stand out. From when we were greeted by Marco, given welcome drinks by Ludmilla and served everyday with such warmth by Rita and Elena: this hotel went above and beyond. All of the staff at the reception, at the bar and around the hotel are attentive and helpful. We really can’t wait to returj again. Thank you, Hotel Villa Belvedere!
We all had the best time at Hotel Villa Belvedere. The rooms we had here were excellently equipped, were very spacious and perfect for what we needed. The beds were comfy, our terrace (being in room 65) was fantastic and everything felt luxurious. The staff at the bar/reception couldn’t be more helpful and attentive. The breakfast here was delicious, and the staff (particularly Rita, Ludmilla and Elena) were exceptionally warm and kind. The poolside was well done and the food and drink was lovely by there too. Everything here was top quality and I couldn’t recommend this hotel more if people are to stay in Taormina.
Location was perfect so were the facilities and staff.
The property is beautiful and the staff could not do enough for you. Absolutely lovely experience
The Hôtel Belvédère was an absolute 10/10 experience from start to finish. This is a truly authentic hotel, perfectly located, with a beautiful garden that makes for a lovely setting to unwind. Breakfast was outstanding: fresh, generous, and a real highlight of each morning. But what truly sets this place apart is the staff. Their attentiveness, warmth, and genuine care for guests is something many hotels could only dream of. We left feeling genuinely looked after, and we will absolutely be coming back!
Nothing
Very good hotel if on the expensive side. Pool area and food around the pool a big plus. Sort out your parking before you go there as to park at the hotel is mega expensive.
Just had a wonderful week with my two adult children. Extremely beautiful hotel that lives up to all its glowing reviews. Lovely location with stunning views and a few minutes from central town and next to a park which is lovely to stroll through. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The only thing missing was a box of tissues in the rooms! Very quiet rooms, but the air con units are quite loud, but needed in the heat! The hotel food was excellent with delicious breakfasts (and beautifully served by Rita and the staff there) and the restaurant by the pool was fabulous for lunches. The staff throughout the hotel were amazingly kind and helpful and a special thanks to Rita and the man in the hotel bar who served us cocktails each evening. For anyone that finds it hard to swim in cold water, the pool is not heated. I expect in the summer once it's been warmed up by the sun, it would be lovely. But it was freezing cold for us. Otherwise the mostly lovely stay and highly recommended!
We have just returned home after a special holiday which got better once we left the hideous Leeds Bradford Airport. If only they could get the owners of this hotel to teach them how to give good customer service. A previous reviewer says it all really and I would echo all there superlatives. It’s amazing. All the staff from the hands on member of the owning family, through Rita and fellow waitresses made sure you felt special. It goes without saying that this characterful property is spotlessly clean. Thanks all and well done and a special thanks for the fuss you made of us on our 45th anniversary.
Absolutely beautiful and the staff was fantastic.
.
The rooms and the food (breakfast and lunch) and drink were excellent. The staff were very helpful and welcoming.
There was a slight smell of drains in the bathroom, and on one occasion the overhead shower flooded the bathroom (but the staff kindly gave us replacement towels immediately).
Exceptionnel ! Toutes les louanges déjà lues sont amplement méritées. Accueil, petite attention, personnel aux petits soins, je n’ai que des compliments à faire.
Je ne vois pas ce qu’on pourrait faire de mieux
We are so lucky this gem of a hotel was available for our hastily planned trip to Italy. The people at this boutique hotel are so helpful - Adrian, the bartender at the lovely pool and everyone else we encountered were so gracious. The breakfast was amazing and the view from every place in the hotel is spectacular. The location is close to town and restaurants.
A wonderful hotel, perfect for a romantic getaway in Taormina. The atmosphere is elegant, the room was spacious with a magnificent view of the bay (including from the bathroom), and breakfast is exceptional and served in an delightful setting—whether in the main dining room or on the terrace. Lush gardens (in late April) and a very pleasant pool area ! To top it off, attentive service worthy of this type of establishment. Hotel highlights: Luxurious · Beautiful views · Romantic · Quiet Nearby activities: In the heart of Taormina, without the hustle and bustle of other areas. Next to the public garden with an idyllic view of Mount Etna. Food and drinks: Superb breakfast.

Beautiful property. The most lovely staff and service.
Location, design of the hotel and the staff were amazüng
My friend and I were only able to spend one night in Taormina--don't make the same mistake! The Villa Belvedere is really special. The room had every possible amenity, the view to the sea was spectacular, the breakfast extraordinary. We didn't want to leave. It is right next to the beautiful public gardens, and there are three restaurants less than a block away. The Greek theater and the main street are a reasonable walk away. The staff are very warm, helpful, and accommodating. We easily arranged a 2-hour late check-out, and they held our bags till we were ready to leave in the afternoon.
It would be very hard to reach this hotel with luggage without a car or a taxi.
The rooms were large and very well appointed. The breakfast had a nice selection and good service overall.
No negative feedback. There was some slight confusion with the bill on checkout but it was taken care of.
Beautiful hotel that felt really luxurious. We upgraded to the suite and had the best view out towards the ocean, was definitely worth the money. Additionally, we had the best breakfast of our whole of Sicily trip whilst staying - wonderful continental options, along with fresh pancakes made to your liking and Granita. The staff were also very lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. I phoned room service for some milk for my tea and within 30 seconds it was at my door. A really special hotel that we would book again in a heartbeat.
Very minor but the cost of soft drinks/ spitz's at the pool bar was a little bit of a surprise but probably no different to other high end hotels.
We were greeted with drinks and special home made Sicilian biscuits and Marco introduced us to Taormina and the sights to see and special places and restaurants to visit. Every day at breakfast we were greeted by Rita who looked after us so well and treated us like family. The breakfast spread was amazing and always fresh and delicious. Also the food and wine at the poolside bar was great and such a wonderful view to the sea. The hotel is beautifully appointed, the rooms were immaculate, housekeeping staff and reception staff were delightful and made you feel so welcome always. The hotel is a 5 minute walk into the town centre and close to restaurants. We had a fantastic holiday- thank you to everyone and we can’t wait to return.
