The hotel was an oasis of calm

Top-tier location in the hub of town, within a 15-minute walk of chair lifts to the beach. Staff were polite and helpful. The gardens and balcony were beautiful, and we discovered there was a rooftop area too, which would be great for sunset drinks. Pleasantly furnished rooms with comfortable beds and beautiful sea views from inside, as well as a semi-private balcony.

The room wasn't soundproof and got quite noisy when people returned late at night as we were on the ground floor near the entrance. The "private terrace" was nice but it did adjoin another terrace as well as the shared breakfast area so not really private. The breakfast options were very expensive for the limited offerings.

Accessibility to the main shopping area and accessibility of the car, also love the sweetness of the reception

Villa Schuler in Taormina is a truly exceptional place. From the very first moment, it impresses with its unique atmosphere, elegance, and beautiful location. The views from the hotel are absolutely spectacular – the panorama of the sea and the Sicilian coastline makes every morning and evening unforgettable. The staff deserve a special mention – professional, exceptionally kind, discreet, attentive, and always ready to help. The level of service is truly outstanding. You can feel the genuine care for every guest and the attention to even the smallest details, making you feel wonderfully looked after throughout your entire stay. The hotel itself has a beautiful, intimate character and a wonderful garden that creates an incredible sense of peace and tranquility right in the heart of Taormina. It is a place full of elegance, history, and authentic Sicilian charm. My stay at Villa Schuler was one of the highlights of my holiday in Sicily. Definitely a hotel I would love to return to. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Liebevoll eingerichtetes Hotel mit einer traumhaften Terrasse mit Blick auf den Etna. Zum Hotel gehört ein Park-artiger Garten mit Palmen und mediterranen Pflanzen. In wenigen Schritten ist man auf der Fußgänger Straße von Taormina. Das Personal hat sich super nett um uns gekümmert und zB. mehrere Buchungen für uns vorgenommen, uns jeden Frühstückswunsch erfüllt, oder den Mietwagen für uns eingeparkt.

السعر مرتفع جداً جداً جداً بالنسبة لمبنى الفندق والغرفة الخشبية وأثاثها المتواضع والحمام وكأنه اوتيل نجمتين او حتى نجمة واحدة ابد مايستاهل السعر المدفوع للأسف.. عند تسجيل الخروج تأخروا علينا وحتى لما نزلوا الشنط تركوها في الاستقبال مع العلم ان فيه سواق ينتظر وبلغناهم يطلعونها ولكن عندهم برود واهمال..

The hotel is well-located, but to be honest, it was not enjoyable for us. Firstly, arriving is difficult with a bunch of bags - there are a lot of steps in and out of the property to where a taxi can meet you and they did not offer to help either coming in or leaving, which was not ideal. The rooms are very tired and very simple - for the amount you pay, I would not choose this hotel again. The view from the rooms was nice as was the garden of the hotel, but it was not warm hospitality by any stretch, let alone for the price paid.

Beautiful property with spacious and clean rooms. Lovely garden and an amazing view from the rooftop and terrace. Location is perfect. But what truly makes this hotel special is the staff. Special thank you to Marco, Mariangela, and Giada. They and the rest of this staff made this feel like a 5-star hotel.

Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl in dieser familiären Atmosphäre gefühlt. Jeder einzelne des Personals ist überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer war sehr schön mit toller Aussicht und sehr sauber. Das Frühstück sensationell, auch Extrawünsche wurde immer erfüllt. Sehr nettes Personal und sehr bemüht. Wir können und werden dieses Hotel sicher weiterempfehlen. Vielen DANK f. d. schönen Urlaub :-)

Absolutely superb in every way! Perfect location and full of character and charm

The hotel was fantastic, with an intimate feel. The desk immediately greeted you like you were part of the family. Marco was particularly unbelievably and made perfect drinks and great company. The location was great, out the back door and you were steps away from the main road. The staff always was ready to give recommendations or help set up a car if we needed it. The balcony’s in the room were great to have a view of the water, then we would also sit at the various seating areas. Well worth the money, Would definitely stay again!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for four nights in May 2026 while attending a family gathering to celebrate my son's wedding. The hotel and its location helped make the celebration truly wonderful. We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Villa Schuler. It felt like staying in a luxury chateau, but with the warmth and friendliness of a family home. The staff were efficient and helpful, while also showing kindness that made us feel genuinely welcome. The hotel, while not large, was beautifully appointed and maintained. It had all the modern facilities we needed while still preserving its wonderful historic charm. The hotel really showcased Taormina's stunning location, with spectacular views over the ocean and Mt Etna in the distance. It was also just a short walk from the beautiful, bustling main street, which made the hotel feel like a tranquil oasis away from the busiest tourist areas. We would highly recommend staying at this lovely hotel, particularly for couples.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the perfect location in Taormina. We had a beautiful room overlooking the water. The full breakfast was amazing with several options and the view from the terrace was spectacular. The entire staff, especially Elena, was very warm and accommodating to my daughter and I. They helped with dinner reservations and scheduled all of our drivers for the rest of our trip around Sicily. A truly wonderful stay.

View, location and the promptness of the staff to help you with arranging tours and hangouts was commendable.

I had high expectations for our stay at Hotel Villa Schuler based on reviews and reading before the trip. Upon our very first interaction with the staff at check-in, I felt immediately like we were in the right place and the positive reviews were for sure true. During the rest of the three day stay at Villa Schuler, we continued to be impressed by the consistenly warm and helpful demeanor of ALL the staff, the excellent service we received, and the overall welcoming attitude of the whole place. The hotel feels like an oasis amidst the busyness of high season in Taormina -- the gardens leading up to the town are huge and beautiful and a very relaxing and cool spot for a rest (particular highlight, the koi and turtle pond). Likewise, the terrace on the opposite side of the hotel where breakfast is served has an amazing panoramic view of the sea and surrounding area (including Etna). After spending a few days in Taormina, you'll realize that both these features are extremely unique for any kind of space in the city. We stayed in a top floor junior suite which had an awesome sea view and large terrace. Though the room itself was compact, it was impeccably clean, well appointed (tons of storage spots) and was the perfect home base for a couple for that length of time. We paid for the full breakfast each day during our stay -- it got a little repetitive by day three, and would have benefited from a few more hot options beyond eggs made to order, though service was consistently excellent and efficient. And again, that view! The hotel also gave a great recommendation for a boat tour and beach club they helped book, as well as restaurants nearby -- we felt like we were in very good hands!

The hospitality was to tier, everyone was lovely and the hotel was beautiful and clean. We had a view of the water and the hotel is only a few steps away from Corso Umberto. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Taormina I HIGHLY recommend Hotel Villa Schuyler!!

I have been at the hotel for a couple of days during my trip in Sicily. I had a lovely experience not only for the room and for the breakfast, but also for the kindness of the staff. I had a problem with the Wi-Fi in my room and a charming goodlooking handsome man, Saro-this is his name-appeared in my room to help me and fix the problem with confidence and experience. Thank you for your great help Saro! It has been a pleasure to meet you. I will be back to Villa Schuler soon!

A beautiful hotel in a great location. We booked an sea view room with a balcony and were treated to a beautiful view each morning. Rooms were well furnished, the breakfast choice was impressive, and the staff could not have been more helpful. Only a very short walk (1 min) from the Corso Umberto but the location still felt quiet. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel anyone.

Okay, man muss sich schon ein wenig an das Thema Parken gewöhnen, und auch daran, dass es in Taormina anders zugeht als in anderen Ferienorten. So ist der Zugang zum Hotel etwas kompliziert. Das ist. Einanderen Hotels nicht anders. Es gibt selten eine Vorfahrt zum Koffer aus- und einladen.

Shouldn’t say this because everyone will want to go. Beautiful boutique hotel in a perfect location with stunning views to Mt Etna, the bay and the Amphitheater. A little oasis of peace and tranquility yet just a few minutes from the main pedestrian walkway through the old town. Fabulous patio to sit and have breakfast. À la carte breakfast with 3 different menus. Our fruit & cereal option was plenty. Great staff who were very helpful. A perfect little garden behind the hotel to sit. If you have a car must reserve a parking space in a small underground garage. Was easy to find using Google maps following the one way system. There isn’t a restaurant but as mentioned previously there are lots of restaurants very close by. Neither is there a pool but there is a small rooftop terrace to relax in and a bar service. Highly recommended. We’ll be back

This wonderful place might not be the most luxorious one but nearly. It is in a perfect location close to shopping and restaurants. If you want some exercise you can walk down to the sea , Isola Bella or up to the little village Castelmola. But the best in this hotel is the breakfast that is just terrific and you have this outside with a magnificent view and a great service. The rooms are nice and the beds are ok. We were maybe a bit disturbed some nights from a nearby discoteque. The rooms were well equipped with everything you need but they are not so big so do not bring too much luggage.😅 But surely recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to visit Taormina. Don’t forget to bring good shoes since it is a lot of walking especially if you want to walk up Etna or down to the sea! What makes me give the 5 stars is the location and the breakfast! Recommended indeed!

The staff, the room and the hotel were fabulous. Lovely thoughtful and well equipped bedrooms a great space. Breakfast was fantastic. Elena was super helpful in helping me organise my time in Taormina. Very much appreciated and made my stay special.

The only thing I did not like was being on the ground floor, the noisy neighbours above me. The tile flooring is cool in summer but very noise absorbing. So next stay I will have a higher level apartment.

It’s the kind of setting that makes you slow down and savour every moment. The rooms are lovely, comfortable, and full of authentic Italian charm, reflecting the character of the region rather than a generic hotel style. We are especially grateful to the staff for recommending the Italian opera in Taormina — it became one of the absolute highlights of our stay and added a magical touch to our trip. A truly memorable experience. We would return without hesitation.

We had a sea view room with small balcony. It was very nice to sit in the balcony early in the morning and enjoy the view from the top. The hotel is very close to main street, yet so isolated with very large backyard garden. The staff was attentive to details. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Taormina.
