Pool is a bit deep for the person like me (5 feet). Beach water is not clean. The water level is high and we are unable to walk on the beach.

My room was upgraded to private pool villa. The room is very nice and enjoy the stay there.

We stayed for two wonderful weeks in a private pool villa, and the experience was so relaxing and enjoyable that we genuinely wished we could have extended our stay for at least another week. The villa was spacious, private, beautifully maintained, and perfect for a long, peaceful holiday. Having our own pool made the stay even more special. Breakfast was outstanding—astonishing in both quality and variety. There was an excellent selection of Thai, Asian, Western, vegetarian, and fresh options, as well as many drinks. Enjoying breakfast with views of the swimming pool and the sea was a perfect start to every day. The resort’s several swimming pools were beautiful, very well maintained, and surrounded by a calm tropical atmosphere. The ocean-view pool was especially lovely, and every area of the resort felt quiet and extremely relaxing. Finally, meeting the staff and management was a real pleasure. Everyone was genuinely kind, professional, attentive, and welcoming. Their hospitality made us feel truly looked after throughout our stay.

The property is built beautifully and the designs of the cottages are unique plus the staff is amazing and very accomodating specially at the kampu restaurant lots of love.

The only negative point is the beach disappears moat of the day and reappears only for a few hours in the morning.

Relaxing stay. Pool areas are amazing and staff are friendly and attentive. Rooms very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was brilliant. Ideal for topping up tan and night markets are only a bolt away. The on site wellness area was amazing too.

Gym is very old and definitely needs updating and full of mosquitoes which unfortunately feasted on me!

We ordered a private BBQ in the villa that was ok - 7+ the rest needs some work, wouldn’t be too difficult or too expensive to make it right. Coffee no comment.. unfortunately that’s the standard in almost all the hotel I visit outside Australia

We spent a few days at the Asara resort eleven years ago and had a wonderful holiday then. It is even better today. it's a really beautiful setting with very well-designed pool villas and public buildings, boardwalks that wind their way between large pools stocked with fish and canopied by huge kampu trees. It's fascinating watching the varieties of birds and squirrels that live in them. The hotel is even better today than it was in the past in part because the two restaurants are first-rate. The buffet breakfasts are excellent, not only because of the wide range (most international hotels provide that) but because the quality of the individual preparation is so high. And beyond that, Baan Dum ("the black house') the separate Thai restaurant, which is open to the public, has the best Thai seafood in Hua Hin, with fresh ingredients prepared in unique ways. Try any of the crab dishes, or - another of my favourites - the prawns in tamarind sauce. I should mention what a complex operation all of this requires. After all, every pool villa is a separate building to maintain. But it's a very smooth operation with a very warm and friendly atmosphere, from the top all the way down to the individual cleaners and kitchen workers.

Loved the colonial style - lots of wood. Great large room and view of the lagoon from room 205. Friendly staff. Nice pool.

The first room we got -211- overlooked the pool and not then lagoon so we were moved the next day after we complained. A lot of the beach/pool towels were tatty and worn and needs replacing. The same for some of the lounge mattresses. The gym needs a deep clean.

The junior suite which I had booked was very good, they upgraded us to a pool villa due to a very late check in procedure for the last 2 nights! Nice gesture but to be honest the initial villa was better!!

Late check in without any reasonable explanation! GM and FOM very hospitable people!! Enjoyed their company very good!!

Nice villa style resort, friendly staff, good location

Room service very late (late afternoon only) and make-up of room not consistent (change of towels, bedlinen), staff at reception at times confused with appointments or agreed times (e.g. transport time back to airport). Resort will need some renovation.

I like the peaceful and quiet atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hotel offers relaxing activities without having to go far, including a fitness center, spa, and restaurants.

I have not received either the deposit refund or the partial refund for the stay that was promised, despite the overall experience being unsatisfactory and refunds were confirmed both verbally as in writing.

Хороший персонал, есть услуги в отеле.

На территории отеля находится водоем, по сути это большая лужа с лягушками. Которые орут всю ночь! На фото отеля есть указание, что это первая линия - это верно, НО вы не можете там купаться так как это скользкий бетонный отбойник и море постоянно с волной. Остается лишь бассейн. Есть трансфер на городской пляж, ехать мин 10 а потом идти еще мин 10 через рынок. Сам городской пляж это полтора метра шириной полоска по которому ходят люди и лошади). Раздевалок не нашли.

Sehr abgelegen, kein Strand, alles in die Jahre gekommen. Sehr lange Wartezeiten im Restaurant. Masterbed zu schmal und Matratzen sehr hart. Sehr laute Frösche die ganze Nacht.

Die Anlage ist wirklich schön, was die Natur angeht, mit einer richtig schönen grünen Umgebung.

Leider ist das Hotel insgesamt stark sanierungsbedürftig – und zwar wirklich deutlich, vor allem in der Anlage: Poolbar, Restaurant, Frühstücksbuffet, die Pools, der Steg und so weiter. Kein richtiger Strand vorhanden, und der nahegelegene Flughafen sorgt dafür, dass man immer wieder Hubschrauber und kleinere Flugzeuge hört und sieht – für mich persönlich war das störend.

Separate Bungalows in einer sehr schön gepflegtem Parkanlage. Zimmer war in einem sehr guten Zustand (kaum Gebrauchtspuren). Zimmer wurde Abends für das Zubettgehen eigens vorbereitet. Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal. Frühstücks Buffet appetitlich arrangiert, große Auswahl und lecker. Habe nur im asiatischen Restaurant gegessen: Essen sehr lecker.

Handtücher am Pool teilweise zerschlissen. Einige Liegen hatten keine Polsterung. Liegen wurden von Gästen teilweise 2-3h im voraus "vor reserviert". Teile der Anlage benötigen eine Sanierung und mehr Liebe im Detail (Plankenweg über den See, Kaimauer zum Strand bröckelig, Restaurant-Rasen ausgetrocknet).

Три ночи на вилле были прекрасными. Тишина, покой. Вилла большая, чистая, уединенная. Территория отеля местами требует ухода и ремонта, но это не влияет на общую атмосферу.

Вообще нигде не было информации об отсутствии пляжа. Он как бы есть и на отельных фото и в реальности существует, но песок обрывается каменной стеной. Единственный спуск в море - узкие скользкие ступени. За 4 дня на пляже удалось искупаться только 1 раз, т.к. море волновалось и волны с грохотом разбивались о стену, заходить было опасно. Оказалось, что Хуахин весь такой. Но ни один отель конечно не дает этой информации.

We really enjoyed the privacy in our villa . Large open spaces with big doors and widows . The decor was lovely and gave me the island vibes without going too far from Bangkok.

It was quite far from restaurants and shopping . Where we normally just walk to our destination it was a bit challenging.

The Ocean facing Two Bedroom villa 101 is outstanding. The staff so welcoming. Could not ask for more on a Vacation. The Sunrise from the Room is just Blissful.

We are vegetarians. Options for food are limited. Special thanks to the Chefs who tried their best to serve us Veg Breakfast.

Schöner Bungalow mit ausreichend Platz für Familie mit zwei Kindern. Schöne Anlage mit wirklich sehr viel Grün auf dem gesamten Gelände. Ressort befindet sich etwas ab vom Schuss. Das Stadtzentrum jedoch mit Sammeltaxi und kurzer Fahrt preiswert zu erreichen. Die Information hierzu muss man sich aber selber erarbeiten. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und nettes, motiviertes Personal am Start. Ein richtiges Strandhotel ist es leider nicht. Bei Ebbe kann man den Sandstrand betreten, im Meer baden und auch am Strand entlang wandern. Bei Flut ist kein Strand da und das Wasser trifft auf Betonwände.

Das dazugehörige thailändische Restaurant benötigt eine Renovierung. Wir haben uns dort nicht eingeladen gefühlt. Beim Zugang zum Meer fehlten bei Anreise die letzten beiden Stufen. Dadurch war ein bequemer Zugang nicht möglich. Das Aufstellen von einer roten Flagge sollte wohl die Benutzung verhindern. Durch den Wind zu Beginn des Aufenthaltes hatte ich vermutet, dass es vor den Wellen warnen sollte. Nach dem ich den Manager auf den Missstand hingewiesen hatte, wurde der Zugang ausgebessert.

Die Anlage mit Pavillons ist insgesamt sehr gut, teilweise schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Teilweise typisch „Thaistyle“ renoviert, d. h. nicht sehr sorgfältig ausgeführt. Möglichkeit Kleider draussen am die frische Luft zu hängen

Needs a new couch haha it moves too much

We liked that it was pet friendly. The room was spacious and clean. Very private and quiet. Great areas to walk, the fitness center was adequate. 2 on site restaurants, both very good. Bank, who checked us in, was awesome, our house keeper was awesome. Actually, all the staff was awesome, if not intimidated by some guests. Plenty of free drinking water in your room is provided. The managers are of different nationalities and all speak great English. Great kid activities.

We soon realized the "pet friendly" areas were pushed off in a corner where views could not be enjoyed. What was "pet friendly" (see photo) for days of our stay (we sat, ate, enjoyed, along with other pet guest in this nice are to enjoy the sea) were suddenly NOT pet friendly because a single guest complained (the manager later told me this French man had been there for over a month, and was a frequent guest, so obviously spent much more money than we did). So, it ruined my stay because I had to sit in this area with the mosquitoes and look at the wall or the stage with just a glimpse of the ocean (see other photo). They do provide mosquito spray. Side note, we keep our dog in her carry bag in eating areas. The pet fee is high per day. 1500 thb which is about 45 USD. You do get one nice meal with this and an area to let the pets exercise. There was a bed, and bowls in the room for our dog.They also have a spa and pet sitting for and additional fee. I would have overlooked some things if the pet incident hadn't happened. Like the battery in our door lock needed to be reset twice, my dog's meal was forgotten twice, the scent on the bed linens was very strong. And there is not a beach. Yes, the property is ocean front, but you won't be walking on the beach.

Mattress has loosed, not comfortable for my sleep time . Shuttle bus only 3 times per day , and not sufficient seats , so I never took the shuttle.

We had a generally pleasant stay at Mövenpick Asara Resort & Spa Hua Hin and there were several things we truly appreciated. The resort is calm, private, and relaxing. The villas are spacious and comfortable, and the atmosphere is peaceful and suitable for families. The staff deserve a special thank you — they were extremely friendly, welcoming, and always smiling. Any time we needed assistance, someone arrived to our villa within 5 minutes, which was truly impressive. Also, we really appreciated that the bathrooms are equipped with hose options suitable for Arab guests. The in-room bathtub was also large and comfortable, which added to the relaxing experience. However, there are some areas that need improvement considering the resort’s premium level. Although the villa had three televisions, there were no Arabic channels and no ability to connect to YouTube, Netflix, or other streaming services — something that is expected nowadays in 2025. The breakfast was also limited and repetitive, and unfortunately there were no clear halal food options available, which would be very important for Muslim guests. Another challenge we faced was mosquitoes inside the villa. Although the hotel provided spray, it was not enough to fully manage the issue and it did affect our sleep, especially for the kids. Since the resort is nature-based, better preventive measures would really help guests feel more comfortable. Overall, we enjoyed the calm atmosphere, the privacy, the friendliness of the staff, the quick service, and some thoughtful facilities. With improvements in technology, breakfast variety, halal options, and stronger pest control, this resort has the potential to offer an excellent experience.

Unfortunately the property has lost its soul. There is no management at all around, and you feel clearly the lack of staff in each and every corner. I have never had such an unpersonalized service in a 5 star hotel. The only person who was really trying to make things happen was the front office manager. Otherwise the staff is lost and looks very frustrated. The property needs a full overall refurbishment and heads of departments. I have not seen any director or GM during our 8 days stay.

The soulless service, no attention to details at all. Very robotic. Lack of staff in every corner.
