Riad stupendo immerso nella Médina. Struttura accogliente e curata, e camere altrettanto. Abbiamo cenato nel ristorante sul tetto del Riad, menu abbastanza semplice ma buono! Colazione BELLISSIMA in una sala molto affascinante e su ordinazione (forse preferirei il buffet per evitare di ordinare eccessivamente quantità come è successo) Staff disponibile e gentilissimo

Dar el Medina è un albergo situato in una delle strade più belle della Medina di Tunisi con bar e street food nelle vicinanze e assolutamente tranquillo. La struttura è molto bella e ben curata arredata con gusto. La nostra stanza era tranquillissima e spaziosa. La colazione è al tavolo oltre che abbondante e molto buona viene servita in una stanza molto carina. La struttura ha anche un ristorante al piano terra con sale bellissime e molto tipiche, a questo si aggiunge un ristorante sulla terrazza dalla quale è possibile godere di una bella vista sulla Medina di Tunisi. Il servizio è eccellente e molto attento e credo sia davvero il punto forte di questo albergo, l’ultimo giorno abbiamo fatto check-out alle 4:30 del mattina e pensate che la cucina si è organizzata per farci comunque la colazione Grazie ancora Dar el Medina e complimenti ! Lo consiglio a tutti

El hotel esta en plena medina de Tunis, es muy bonito con una buena terraza y el personal es super amable que te ayudan en todo lo q pueden.

He probado dos habitaciones distitnas… y hay algunas que son mucho mejores que otras; aunque estas tambien estan muy bien.

Located inside the medina, close to Zaytouna Mosque, restaurants and cafes around. The room was spacious with tasteful decor, fridge, coffee making amenities, cute bathroom. The hotel is very nice and clean. The breakfast was amazing and huge. Staff were very accommodating, help you carry luggages up to your room, and were pleasant. Rooftop restaurant was a highlight too. Overall this is a very nice, authentically Tunisian boutique hotel with authentically pleasant staff.

The only drawback was the taxi/private car that they reserved for us going to the airport. Although the car manage to come very close to the hotel. The cleanliness of inside the car was questionable. And the driver inconveniently drop us quite far from the departure entrance and just dump our luggages on the roadside and take-off.

Dar El Medina est très bien situé, au cœur de la médina. Le personnel est très accueillant et chaleureux, le service impeccable. Merci pour ce moment magnifique ! La restauration est excellente et le rooftop offre une vue exceptionnelle sur Tunis.

J’ai particulièrement apprécié la localisation de l’établissement, au cœur de la médina et facile à trouver, ainsi que la grande chambre avec sa belle hauteur sous plafond et son architecture pleine de charme. J’ai également beaucoup apprécié la possibilité de prendre une douche après le check-out, une attention vraiment appréciable. Enfin, le calme qui règne dans l’établissement est un vrai plus pour profiter pleinement du séjour.

se venite a Tunisi, non perdete tempo a cercare altre strutture, Dar El Medina è insuperabile. Struttura bellissima, dentro la medina ma non nella parte affollata, vicinissima a Kasbah Square , comoda per prendere i taxi. Colazione formidabile la migliore fatta in tunisia e forse in tutti i viaggi che ho fatto. Possibilità di usufruire del ristorante, veramente eccellente. Staff di una cordialità unica e fuori dal comune, ma una menzione speciale va alla splendida Khawla che ci ha accolto e aiutato in ogni esigenza con una partecipazione straordinaria e una gentilezza davvero commovente. Una persona davvero speciale. Speriamo di ritornare un giorno.

The place was beautiful, staff were so helpful, and the location was in the medina, right by the souk.

It is difficult to get a taxi right to the hotel, even with the staff negotiating with the taxi drivers for you. That's the trade off for staying right in the medina.

L'hotel è molto bello e in posizione centralissima nella medina di Tunisi, in una stradina tranquilla. La stanza era molto ampia, ben arredata e pulita. Abbiamo usufruito del ristorante che ci è piaciuto molto. Lo staff è stato molto disponibile e accogliente.

Really beautiful traditional building. We have been twice and both times the rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated and comfy. We got the high speed internet option and it worked great. Location is perfect to walk around the Medina and market. And parking is 5 minutes away. Breakfast was awesome and the staff was super friendly! 100% recommend

Emplacement parfait, au cœur de la médina, dans une ancienne demeure datant de l’époque ottomane. La demeure est entièrement refaite, tout en ayant garder sa splendeur originelle. Le restaurant est superbe, avec une très belle terrasse offrant une vue magnifique sur la médina. Le petit-déjeuner est vraiment excellent et le personnel de l'hôtel est aux petits soins. La literie est très confortable, et la chambre offre tout le confort moderne, tout en bénéficiant d’une décoration intérieure raffinée qui rend le séjour féérique.

L’emplacement au cœur de la médina est très pratique, dans une petite ruelle avec une ambiance conviviale. Le personnel était également particulièrement attentionné.

Une forte odeur de peinture s’est faite sentir dans notre chambre pendant la nuit, nous empêchant de dormir. Il s’agit de rénovations nécessaires pour maintenir la qualité de l’établissement mais cela a néanmoins eu un impact sur la qualité de notre bref séjour.

Very beautiful Riad/hotel in the heart of the Medina of Tunis! Close to everything by foot and what an experience it is to get lost in this maze. The hotel was easy to find, the staff was very nice and accommodating, the breakfast was very copious every morning and the value for money is unmatched! Would definitely return 🙏

Location is top to experience the atmosphere of the old city (médina, the souk). The stuff was very kind and the food is also a good try. The rooms are little sized and the equipments are old, respecting the ancient facilities.

Hotel molto curato e pulito in pieno centro de la Medina. Abbiamo preso due stanze entrambe comode e pulite. I dettagli erano curati. Molto buona la colazione anche se servita al tavolo ma era molto abbondante (omelette, pane, marmellata, yogurt von miele semi e avena, limonata fatta in casa, tè, caffè tunisino, latte, pan cake e altro). Pulizie tutti i giorni, personale sempre presente. Qualche rampa di scala per raggiungere le camere ma il personale aiutava con i bagagli. Il taxi non può arrivare fino alla struttura si devono fare a piedi circa 200 metri. Per noi famiglia con 2 ragazzi bilancio positivo. Essere in pieno centro consente di godere della vera cultura tunisina, dal mercato ai monumenti, i cafè o semplicemente la gente che passa. Nei pressi della struttura vari ristoranti, varie botteghe per bibite o street food se piace e anche una mini pizzeria nella piazza sotto ottima

A localização é ótima, se procura estar no centro da Medina e perto dos mercados. A decoração era muito gira e o staff foi simpático. O pequeno almoço é bastante completo e bom. O quarto era pequeno mas com o necessário e bem cuidado.

Le climatiseur avait un problème. Nous l’avons mentionné la première fois à la réception en nous disant que quelqu’un viendrait et la personne est venu en disant qu’il reviendrait et n’est pas revenu. Nous sommes retournés une deuxième fois à la réception en nous disant qu’il s’en occupait et personne a réglé le problème. Au restaurant pour le dîner,il n’y a pas de facture,le serveur calcule mentalement et il nous a chargé 133 dinars au lieu de 99 dinars. Il nous a remboursé mais faites le calcul vous-même avant de payer.

O Dar El Medina é encantador, o staff é super atencioso, o pequeno almoço é divinal e a localização é perfeita.

The property itself was beautiful and in an excellent location, close to all the Souks. The staff stand out as being very attentive, greeting us with welcome drinks and extra waters on the hot day. On our final day in Tunis we had not booked a stay at the hotel but they stored our bags in a safe location and allowed us to hang out in the courtyard until 10:30pm for our late flight free of charge.

Beautiful property. In the heart of the medina. The breakfast was great. We loved our stay there.

We had a serious issue during our stay. While we were away from the property between approximately 9:00 and 15:00, housekeeping entered our occupied room and removed personal belongings without permission. Our clothes were taken out of the room and later found in a common area (the kitchen), which confirms they were handled and moved by staff. After this incident, we discovered that 200 € in cash that had been stored inside a personal item in the room was missing. We reported the situation immediately to the property, but there was no clear explanation provided regarding what happened to the money. We find it unacceptable that guests’ personal belongings were moved from an occupied room, and we are very concerned about the lack of control and responsibility in handling guest property. We hope the management improves procedures to ensure guest belongings are respected and secure.

Le Dar el Médina est un endroit magnifique comme beaucoup de Dar en Tunisie. Le personnel était vraiment sympathique et nous a conseillé et aidé dans notre voyage. Le petit déjeuner est gargantuesque et très très bon. La chambre était une véritable suite avec un coin repos très apprécié.

Le bruit de la Médina... Je n'étais pas prête...🫣 Pour les personnes sensibles au bruit s'abstenir car cela peut vite prendre la tête. Entre les prières des hauts parleurs, les bruits du scooter et de vie de la Médina et les bruits du Dar c'est assez bruyant... boule quies oblige !!

Lovely inn in a lively and quaint area of Tunis medina, with gorgeous rooms with balconies and plenty of space. But the staff at this hotel is the real plus here. My husband was sick and one manager walked me around the medina to six different pharmacies on a Sunday night to find him medicine. Above and beyond the call of duty. They were incredibly wonderful and helpful at every turn. The breakfast is huge, with fresh yogurt and granola, omelets and pancakes, and fresh breads, coffee and juices. The rooftop terrace is a wonderful place for a fresh fruit juice, lunch or dinner. They're ready to help you with anything here, and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Tunis. Wonderful experience.

El personal es agradable, el hotel muy pintoresco, bien ubicado para vivir la medina. Las zonas comunes muy bonitas y en buen estado de conservación y limpieza a pesar de ser un antiguo palacio de 1820.

El cuarto de baño de mi habitación no estaba en condiciones debido a la humedad de la bañera, las cortinas y las paredes con moho. Eso hacia que la habitación oliera a moho. Poca iluminación. Salir y entrar de la bañera era complicado. La limpieza de la habitación y el baño muy deficiente, suerte que nosotros no manchamos mucho. No cambiaban las copas que usábamos. Con el desayuno tuve dificultades. No como gluten y en lugar de los bollos, bizcochos y tortitas que ponían yo pedía fruta y eso era un problema hasta que decidí comprarla yo misma. Siempre me decían que no había y después de discutir, la sacaban. También era difícil desayunar pronto para llegar a tiempo a las excursiones.

Au cœur de la médina ,nous avons passé une nuit très agréable dans ce bel hôtel dont la chambre est bien équipée ( produits de soins, sèche cheveux bouilloire pour thé et café). Le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel et ultra copieux. Personnel très aimable soucieux de notre bien être. Encore, merci .

The best part (aside from the authentic architecture that the designers merged beautifully with modern comfort) is definitely the staff: kind, attentive, professional and helpful at all times. The location is good (keep in mind most taxis won’t drop you off or pick you up at the entrance, but 1 to 10 minutes away depending on the car size), our room had everything we needed and was clean, which we appreciated more than I can express, the mattress was comfortable (at least for persons weighing around 60 kg), and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The rooftop restaurant also serves very good food!

I travelled with my mother (annual birthday present) and she’s quite fit, but in her early 70s. Because of that I asked for a room with as few stairs as possible when I made the reservation and somehow ended up on the top floor with the private bathroom down a rather narrow staircase (a level below). While they communicated this was subject to availability and I understand that, our room was also right under the kitchen ventilation system on the roof which usually ran up to 10-10:40 pm local time (midnight or later on the time zone back home) and made falling asleep a bit of a challenge. What was utterly unpleasant, though, was the pervasive mold present in the bathroom, especially in the shower area. Under no circumstances should that be present in a 4* establishment, and I was surprised to find a review on Maps from a couple of years before written by someone who had stayed in the same room, so I didn’t bother telling them about it since they were also fully booked. I really hope they do something about that, as it’s easily fixable with a ventilator and proper care - it’s not a nuisance, but a health hazard.

I really liked this hotel. It had a very authentic Tunisian local atmosphere, which made the stay feel more special and genuine. The staff were extremely kind, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay, which I really appreciated. One of the highlights was definitely the rooftop restaurant. The view over the city was beautiful, especially at sunset, and the food was absolutely delicious. Overall, I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

It's a beautiful old building in an amazing location with a wonderful rooftop with views over the city. Breakfast was fab. The staff were amazing. It's just steps away from the souk and major monuments.

A bit noisy if you have a room facing the street but it's a vibrant medina so we found it enchanting and to be fair, it was quiet during the middle of the night so we slept well.

El hotel tienen un encanto especial y es precioso, tiene una terraza con vistas que es super agradable y las habitaciones son muy cómodas. Destacar el personal, que fue encantador, muy servicial y agradable. La ubicación es excepcional en medio de la Medina. El desayuno el espectacular, recomiendo bajar con hambre :)

Struttura a un passo dal cuore della Medina, ma vicino ad un parcheggio che la rende facilmente raggiungibile con i bagagli. Personale gentile e accogliente che ci attendeva con bevande fresche o tè alla menta al momento dell’arrivo. Stanze pulite, comode e spaziose. Bagno non ampissimo, ma dotato di tutto il necessario (compresa ottima crema corpo). Direi che il nostro soggiorno è stato davvero molto bello!

Cet hôtel est vraiment parfait pour visiter la Medina de Tunis et récupérer après une journée de visite grâce au charme, au confort de Dar El Medina. Une parenthèse de calme et de charme avec un personnel très agréable et à vos soins. Et un restaurant et un petit déjeuner de qualité, une très belle surprise!

Das Hotel hat eine top Lage in einer etwas ruhigeren und netteren Ecke der Medina, so würde ich sagen. Ich hatte ein Zimmer im obersten Stockwerk. Das war geräumig und ruhig, auch wenn das Haus insgesamt durch die Betonbauweise sehr hellhörig ist. Sämtliche Türschlösser und Türscharniere könnten einmal geölt werden. Es quietscht überall ordentlich und ist schwergängig. Es gab gut heißes Wasser in der Dusche, das war angenehm. Alles wirkte auch recht sicher. Alle Angestellten sind wahnsinnig freundlich. Danke dafür! Das Frühstück war gut, jedoch wird täglich exakt das gleiche serviert (ich war drei Nächte da). Immerhin herrlich: ausreichend Kaffee mit viel Milch. Auch im Restaurant schmeckt es gut. Die Bedienung wirkt allerdings überfordert und nicht besonders aufmerksam. Essen ganz oben auf der Dachterrasse ist schon sehr nett. Nur wenn man dann öfter lange aufs Personal warten muss, relativiert sich das Vergnügen. Gut zu wissen: ein Taxi fährt wegen der engen Gassen eventuell nicht bis vor die Tür. Das Gepäck muss dann ein gutes Stück weit getragen werden.

Halb so schlimm: aber Teppiche, Sofapolster, Sofakissen könnten mal erneuert oder richtig gereinigt werden. Sonst nichts negatives.

Hotel avvolgente negli odori, nei sapori, nel comfort. Tutto è andato molto bene nel corso del mio soggiorno. Note particolari: sale del ristorante architettonicamente meravigliose e terrazza con vista impareggiabile.

Ottima posizione, molto comoda per visitare la città e raggiungere i principali punti di interesse. Colazione abbondante e di buona qualità. La stanza era ben arredata, moderna e accogliente. Unico aspetto migliorabile il bagno, che non risultava allo stesso livello della camera per finiture e comfort.

Avevamo richiesto un taxi alla reception per le 5 del mattino, con prenotazione confermata fino al giorno precedente, ma al momento della partenza non c’era nessuno in reception e nessun taxi ad attenderci. Abbiamo dovuto organizzarci autonomamente, pagando inoltre solo 8 dinari rispetto ai 50 richiesti dall’albergo. Inoltre, la camera affacciava sulla strada principale: di fronte è presente un bar aperto fino a mezzanotte e ogni sera il rumore proveniente dall’esterno rendeva molto difficile dormire.

Stupendo edificio storico nel cuore del Souk tunisino, accoglienza mediterranea, personale gentilissimo e molto disponibile a soddisfare qualsiasi richiesta (unica pecca "poco inglese"), gli ho chiesto di trovare una guida per un tour e subito si sono attivati... colazione ottima e ottimo ristorante ... torneremo !

Anche se presente un boiler per preparare bevande calde mancava la presa (nella nostra stanza) e soprattutto mancava il Nescafè (disponibili bustine di the). Utile qualche mensola in piu' per riporre valigie e vestiti

Struttura molto carina, in ottima posizione nella kasba, gestita da personale molto disponibile, accogliente e mai invadente. colazione super abbondante e varia. Abbiamo cenato un paio di volte e siamo stati benissimo, terrazza panoramica.

The hotel is located at a central location in Medina and is close to many attractions. The breakfast is very good as it combines local and European cuisine. The staff is very friendly, hospitable and share with you information any information one might need. The overall stay was very very pleasant!

The bathroom could use some renovation and fixing. But the overall conditions overshadows this small problem.
