Reviewed Sep 10, 2026Hôtel idéalement placé, juste aux pieds de la cathédrale et accessible via taxi ou Uber depuis la place Gutenberg. Beaucoup de restaurants à proximité et activités touristiques proches, petits train faisant la visite de Strasbourg, embarcadère pour visite sur bateaux, musée à proximité, etc… la taille des chambres m’a pas déranger car petite mais bien aménagé (chambres eco double)
Lors du séjour il y avait 2 chambres, 1 n’avait pas de fenêtre extérieure et cela peut être gênant pour certains clients. L’hôtel mériterait aussi à l’avenir un petit rafraîchissement à certains endroits (peintures défraîchies)

A fürdőszoba lehetett volna kicsit nagyobb és bár volt ablak a szobában, csak belső zárt lépcsőházra nyílt, ami kellemes látvány volt, de a friss levegő hiányzott.

Reviewed Aug 24, 2026Die Lage ist top! Das Hotel ist auf der einen Seite einer Entdeckungsreise von vielen historischen Ereignissen, die dort stattgefunden haben müssen. Es ist auch sehr detailreich und liebevoll inszeniert und alles erhalten an Historie was geht.
Das Frühstück ist sehr bescheiden. Das einzige was schmeckt, sind die Croissants und der Käse. Alles andere war meist leer, nicht aufgefüllt. Angefangen vom Tee über Eier. Viel mehr gab es leider auch nicht außer Schinken und Salami und ein geschmackloser Obstsalat. Das ganze Hotel ist von der Ausstattung und den Zimmern sehr in die Jahre gekommen, überall liegen Teppiche, was unhygienisch und nicht mehr zeitgemäß ist. Die Bäder sehr alt und es wirkt in der ein oder anderen Ecke etwas schmuddelig.

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Wir haben uns im Hôtel de la Cathédrale in Straßburg sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Lage ist einfach fantastisch – direkt gegenüber dem Straßburger Münster. Man öffnet die Tür und befindet sich mitten im historischen Zentrum. Besonders schön ist die Atmosphäre am frühen Morgen und am Abend, wenn es rund um die Kathedrale etwas ruhiger wird. Das Hotel selbst hat sehr viel Charme und passt wunderbar zu Straßburg. Unser Zimmer war gemütlich, sauber und angenehm. Auch das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Für mich ist dieses Hotel vor allem wegen seiner einzigartigen Lage und besonderen Atmosphäre eine sehr gute Adresse. Wer Straßburg wirklich erleben und mitten in der Altstadt wohnen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Ich würde sehr gerne wiederkommen.

Lift only went from first floor... so wide spiral staircase, bit of an issue with large suitcase then once we came out of lift, more steps to negotiate before getting to cosy room. Not a lot of help from reception in trying to order a taxi back to station... poor show.

Reviewed Aug 6, 2026Die sehr zentrale Lage des Hotels direkt gegenüber der Kathedrale. Man ist gut auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Im Zimmer hat man alles, was man braucht. Es gibt eine Minibar und eine gut funktionierende Klimaanlage.
Frühstück wurde nur im Zimmer angeboten. Leider muss man zum Aufzug in die erste Etage laufen.

La chambre présentait un état général assez décevant pour un établissement de cette catégorie. Les murs, dont la peinture est marquée par des salissures, mériteraient d'être rafraîchis. L'espace est exigu et la fenêtre donne sur une cour intérieure peu lumineuse, ce qui renforce l'impression de manque de confort. Plusieurs détails nuisent également à la qualité du séjour : la télécommande du téléviseur était sale et l'offre de chaînes est très limitée. Le receveur de douche présentait de petites traces qui auraient pu être éliminées avec un nettoyage plus approfondi. Le dessus-de-lit était taché et la liseuse située au-dessus du lit ne fonctionnait pas. Dans l'ensemble, ces manquements ne sont pas à la hauteur des standards que l'on est en droit d'attendre d'un hôtel de ce rang. En revanche, le personnel constitue un véritable point fort : accueillant, sympathique et professionnel, il contribue à rendre le séjour plus agréable malgré les insuffisances constatées.

Reviewed Jul 9, 2026The hotel is beautiful and conveniently located just a short walk from both the metro and train stations. The location is excellent and makes it very easy to get around the city.
Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The air conditioning was not working, and although I reported the issue, it was never fixed. I had to sleep with the window open because the room was too hot, but I ended up getting bitten by mosquitoes. I had booked a room for one person with a queen-size bed, but instead I was given a room with two single beds for the same price. The breakfast was also quite poor for a 4-star hotel. The bread was stale, and there were flies in the dining area, which was very unpleasant. The only downside is that there is no elevator to the first floor. The staff kindly helped me carry my suitcase upstairs when I arrived, but when I checked out, I had to carry it downstairs by myself. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay, and I expected much better from a 4-star hotel.

La petitesse de la chambre L impossibilité d ouvrir les rideaux des fenêtres donnant sur un escalier interieur sous peine d être vus par les gens empruntant l escalier D où l impression d enfermement très désagréable. There are quite a lot of steps for those with limited mobility. There is a lift but it is accessed by a spiral staircase which might be tricky for some.
