Seeing the snow capped mountains was breathtaking and from our room as well, the staff was so friendly and helpful, a beautiful place to stay

Clean, comfortable and well appointed. Very good value for the money

Clean and tidy, Beds were comfy and the room warmed up quickly

Road noise from big trucks passing through town was on going through the night

The unit was warm and comfortable. It was much better than we had expected given the economical price. The kitchen and bathroom facilities seemed new and recently upgraded.

No criticisms.

Regular traveller returning. Good as ever.

Quiet location away from the busyness of central Kaikoura shops. Very close to the convenient New World Supermarket. Excellent parking and condition of facilities.

Nothing.

A very comfortable bed with good shower. Liked the very concise text I received the morning of my check 8n with all relevant details as well as code for door with clear instructions. Have stayed numerous times and never been let down. Highly recommended.

The shower head needs attention as it is leaking a lot of water out of the head.

The water. Had 2 buy water. Chch water not drinkableg

Very nice unit

Staff always friendly and kind love staying here on way to see my dad in Picton on way there and back

Nothing excellent

Clean, cosy, great facility. Feels like home and has some paid channels available on the tv.

Bed is just slightly soft but it doesn’t affect the good facility it is.

Love it I stay here on my way to Picton 3 times a year

Nothing it’s great

Clean and very comfortable

This is a basic accommodation - no pools, gymnasium or business centre - but was super comfortable, spacious, and a pretty easy walk (and a very comfortable drive) into the centre of town. Our 9-year-old son loved having Netflix on demand (we don't have it at home) and wants us to go back. Simple kitchen in the room - refrigerator and stovetop - would have allowed us to self-cater in the room. Parking just outside the room. Minimal contact with office staff, but rooms reliably serviced with new coffee and towels each day. Also had guest laundry facilities that we did not need. But super convenient. We will stay here again when we next return to Kaikoura.

No real presence in the front office, but we didn't need anything. We even waved in passing as we saw the owners - confident that any needs would have been addressed. A little on the edge of town (easier with a car), but a short walk (or even shorter drive) to a large New World, and close enough to the town centre and whale watching to walk there. We did so a couple of times.

Die Dusche hat einen tollen Wasserdruck.

Very helpful staff. Good size, had all amenities we required including laundry facilities. A cosy stay.

Nothing we didn’t like.

Water pressure was awesome, very clean and comfortable room

Check in tardif et le confort de la literie

Rien à signaler

Clean, warm and comfortable

Best stay in kaikoura

Nice view during winter and comfortable staying with adequate kitchen amenities. Perfectly accommodation for family.

The location is too close to the main road.

Kitchen is very modern and good. Room was very clean.

The door system and the location or view of the snow dusted mountains with seating outside too. Heat pup and comfortable bed!

It was warm

Very cosy and warm, location was easy to find. Bed was very well displayed. I felt like I was in my own room. Like that I felt safe to sleep with the pin lock on the door, I could double lock it from the inside.

Bath room could have had a bit of help. No face towels 😔 Such a nice room And then just plain bath room Shower plug was coming out in shower, when I was in it.

Staff pleasant and helpful- nice and clean

Good location, heating was turned on for our arrival, a nice touch on a freezing day. Very comfortable and clean. Would recommend.

The bed was beautifully presented. Furniture great.

The friendly helpful staff & lovely clean tidy modern room with modern kitchen facilities.

Comfortable bed, best nights sleep I’ve had in months! Tv had Netflix and other apps. Great location. Has guest laundry and kitchenette facilities. Really it had everything we could have wanted in a place to stay.

It was a little noisy outside the door as people were getting up and leaving in the morning but I have ear plugs anyway

The shower in the deluxe suite is amazing and massive

The unit was clean and had heating in every room - which is great while travelling in winter.

Very modern and tidy

The hotel have everything you need.

.....

Always a great stay, owner is awesome

Nothing. Willowbank is a great place to stay!

Everything was exceptional

Great place! They kindly upgraded us to the one bedroom, instead of the studio. This has a beautiful view of the snowy mountain. The big TV in the sitting area was great, as we could cosy up on the sofa and watch it, with the heater on. The place was nice and modern, with all your essentials. It was also easy to find, just off the main road, and in a very convenient location.

Not applicable, everything was great.

Fabulous renovation . Best I have seen at the price

The room was good and the beds were comfy. Good value for money.

Everything, definitely my motel of choice in Kaikoura. Affordable. Friendly & helpful staff & management.

Friendly management & staff. Rooms were wow! Electric blanket was a bonus.

Room was great and so comfortable, would stay again.

Issue with fire alarm on first night and no one on site to help.

Modern facilities very clean and well maintained.

Spacious, clean

The bed, the warmth, the electric blankets, full kitchen facilities, easy self check in, it felt luxurious compared to other recent stays at facilities that just didn't meet the high standard of this one. I will definitely stay again !

Nothing to not like..

An affordable, comfortable stay! Easy checkin and checkout. Tidy, clean room.

Not much space for parking

Well set up in the room we were given. Good cooking facility and excellent lighting. Good quality bed

Nothing

The modern kitchen, decor and free netflix

Probably need a mop in the shower room, as open showers tend to go everywhere

Everything was perfect. Thank you for the complimentary room upgrade
