Fantastic hotel off the beaten track and safe for all the family. Joe and the whole reception team were amazing from the moment we arrived until we left. Nanny and the restaurant team always welcomed with a smile and on hand to assist with all requests. With the activities team always checked in around the pool.

The room was absolutely beautiful, and the swimming pool was amazing! I had such a great time staying here with my friends, and they loved it so much. Everything was just perfect! The breakfast was also really good, and we will definitely come back again. The atmosphere was lovely with such a great vibe—peaceful, relaxing, and not too crowded. And if you feel like partying, you can easily take the hotel shuttle to the nearby party area. Highly recommended! ✨🏝️💕 The staff provided excellent service, and the room was clean and comfortable. This hotel is a bit remote yet wonderfully secluded, perfect to unwind and connect with nature. The shallow beach at the back is gorgeous — you can walk far out at morning low tide for spectacular sea‑sky views. We loved all the resort activities. Huge thanks to coaches Min and Ryan for our 3‑day‑2‑night stay. We took Thai boxing, aqua yoga and the Pirate session, plus enjoyed free windsurfing and canoeing. Min is warm‑hearted, great at giving feedback on our form. Ryan is calm and his yoga instruction is very professional.

Private and friendly staffs

The environment is pretty nice and chill, I like the breakfast view of the sea and the sunset They also have some nice free activities you can enjoy. Especially Thai Boxing and afternoon kayaks are nice, Instructor Min is very friendly and helpful he even gave us a longer class then we were entitled to for Thai boxing. Hotel itself is not far away from Nathon Pier 15 minute ride. It’s also in close proximity of Pig island so u can enjoy the tours as well

A truly lovely place ideal if you want plenty of R&R as very quiet and secluded but with access to busier areas if wanted (the hotel offers free shuttle buses x 2 daily) Peaceful atmosphere with a stunning spa if needed My grandson and I initially had a delux room in the main block but due to a family next to us with small children and a baby they moved us to a pool villa! This just made our holiday it was stunning and having your own private pool just made the holiday more memorable. The staff were all so polite, helpful and kind, from reception right through to the gardeners, cleaners, restaurant staff and water sports staff. The only negative from my perspective is that there is not enough choice if you just wanted a quick sandwich/salad etc as everything is via the restaurant and the bar that sold coffee only offered a a toastie or cakes. Also if you wanted extra water this was also expensive and we ended up going to the local 7-11 to buy bottled water as the water topped up in the rooms daily was not sufficient in the heat. Apart from the above I would definitely recommend the hotel and would consider going again Thanks to all the staff for making my holiday with my grandson one to remember

A lovely 6 night stay in the south of Koh Samui before we then went up to the North for few nights. We had a pool room which was fantastic. Huge bed with seperate dressing room and huge bathroom. Drinking water was restocked daily and more on request if needed. There’s not much locally but that’s what we loved about it. You can hire bikes for free to cycle to local restaurants. They also offer kayaks and water bike, complimentary yoga sessions and Muay Thai lessons. I would definitely stay again if visiting Koh Samui.

Such a relaxing hotel and experience. Service is kind and friendly. R took great care of us at the restaurant and took allergies very seriously putting us at ease. Diggy was so kind and helpful at the bar and made us feel super welcome. The rooms were clean and maintained well throughout the stay. We upgraded to the pool villa and it was well worth it, a fantastic room and so calm.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt und waren besonders überrascht, dass wir sogar ein kostenloses Upgrade auf eine Pool Villa bekommen haben – ein absolutes Highlight! 🥰 Das gesamte Personal war unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Die Anlage selbst ist wunderschön und sehr gepflegt, sodass man sich sofort wohlfühlt. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt ist die Lage, da die Unterkunft etwas weiter vom Zentrum und vom Geschehen entfernt liegt. Allerdings bietet das Hotel 4-mal täglich einen kostenlosen Shuttle-Service ins Zentrum und zurück an, sodass das für uns überhaupt kein großes Problem war. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können die Unterkunft absolut weiterempfehlen! ❤️

We spent 8 nights here after busy visits to Bangkok and Elephant hills jungle camp. Very relaxing hotel away from the hustle and bustle of the larger resorts . The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant had a good range of local dishes and international items to suit most guests . The pool was never crowded and we always had a choice of sun beds. Very clean and tidy

We had amazing stay throughout our family vacation almost 2 weeks at the Avani+. The highlight was about the privacy and Thai hospitality were made our stay absolutely amazing. Big thanks to the team and we will be back one day! All the best, Inger

מדובר במקום הכי מרוחק שיש מהכל בערך הייתי במעל 50 מלונות בתאילנד בחיים לא התנהגו אלינו כל כך מגעיל.. שירות לקוחות שמזכיר את המלונות הכי גרועים שהייתי בהם ואפילו הרבה יותר גרוע באמת גישה ממש חמדנית. ורציתי לצאת לקנות לשתות באמצע הלילה הייתי צריך לשלם 2000-באט מונית דרך המלון וביקשו ממני יותר סתם עד שהוכחתי שרק קניתי שתיה מי שרוצה לסבול מוזמן להגיע לשם סגרתי חדר בתאריך מ9.7 עד 13.7 ויצאתי ב10 לחודש ברמה שלא יכלתי להישאר במלון הזה הוא פשוט הרס לי את החופשה.לקחתי חדר ב10000 באט בתוך העיר במלון פחות טוב ונהנתי פי מיליון בקיצור לא להתקרב

The staff were very approachable and the included breakfast was a strength with a good variety, and the possibility to order from the menu.

Pool areas are small and lack any sort of atmosphere. Often diesel boats were starting engines up opposite which would blow the gasses to the pool vicinity where people lay. The main problem is price of all food and drink in house. We ordered all from grab at 1/4 of the price and others evidently followed, meaning the bar and restaurant was empty most evenings which again made the hotel feel like a ghost town. Happy hour should encourage guests to drink at the bar but from 4-6pm is just too early.. the timings should be from 4-8pm to allow guests time to come back from trips etc and enjoy the advantage of the discount at the bar. Instead the bar remained dead so we went to the Air Bar down the road at the Intercontinental hotel, really classy bar with a strong happy hour selection and adequate timings.

This is one of the best hotels my family and I have ever stayed at. Everyone made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff at the front desk, the restaurant, and the spa were all so friendly, kind, and always happy to help. We had the chance to try the spa, and it was such a wonderful experience. Our daughter had her very first kids’ spa treatment, and she absolutely loved it. A big thank you to Khun Aum for taking such great care of her and making her first spa experience so special. We’d also like to thank Khun Nong and Khun Dream for the amazing massages. They took such good care of my husband and me, and we left feeling completely relaxed. You both are truly amazing! Thank you to everyone for making our stay so memorable. We’ll definitely be back if we get the chance!

Our stay at this small vacation resort was arranged by a travel agency that put together a custom vacation for us. It turned out to be an excellent choice. We stayed in two villas with private pools. Even though the weather forecast isn’t usually ideal for this time of year, Koh Samui - and especially the southern part of the island - is a welcome exception. The weather couldn’t have been better: mostly sunny, with pleasant temperatures of around 30 °C. The attentive and friendly staff looked after us throughout our stay. The spacious rooms were kept spotlessly clean, as was the pool, and the regular menu was complemented by themed evenings such as BBQ nights and steak nights. I don’t know if it was because it was the off-season, but even though we occasionally met other hotel guests, most of the time it felt as if the staff was there just for us. It’s also great that breakfast is served from 6:30 a.m. It gets light very early here, and despite our packed schedule, we always had enough time to enjoy a relaxed breakfast before heading out on our early morning excursions. The food at the hotel was excellent, and although there were the occasional minor imperfections, nothing was significant enough to detract from our stay. After twelve wonderful days on Koh Samui, we’re leaving a place that has truly found a special place in our hearts, and we sincerely hope we’ll have the opportunity to return someday.

Did a 90mins massage with Pem. She is very skillful, with the right pressure, feel so relaxed afterwards.

Everything was seamless from the hotel pickup to check in. Staff were friendly, always smiling and greeting you. They make you feel really special. They are accommodating and always try best to assist, ranging from tours, transfers and even late check out due to our late flights. The resort is far from everything but fortunately the resturant serves good food ranging from Thai, Western, Asian and even Japanese. The resort was well maintained, clean and not crowded. It offer one of the best sunset view on the island. And also one of the best fire show I have seen. Special recommendation to Bomb who assisted us during the check in. We have an early check in. He specially arrange our 2 rooms to be opposite each other. Overall, the team did a good job in making their guests feel special! Well done.

Went there in May for a reunion with my brother. We hadn’t seen each other for 10 years, and it was worth it. First, we received a warm welcome from Khun Beam. She gave us every detail about the hotel, and we were greeted with mango ice cream upon arrival. It was a lovely touch and perfect for the weather! She then walked us to our room and showed us where everything was. We loved the room, it had enough amenities for two people, and if we needed anything extra, we could always ask. After relaxing for a while, I walked around the hotel and discovered a Tiki bar next to the pool and the beach. It was a great spot to enjoy a drink and chill by the pool. Later, my brother and I went for a late lunch. I ordered the Salmon Poke Bowl, and I loved the addition of mango in the ingredients. It was such a good combination, and I would recommend everyone to try it! I also met Nong Jack. We had a nice conversation, and I learned that he is a trainee there who takes care of guests. He seemed to have a very caring attitude and kept checking on us and other guests, which I really appreciated. The next morning, we went for breakfast around 8 AM. The breakfast was good, and it wasn’t too crowded. I met Nong Fon as well. She is also a trainee and Nong Jack’s friend. She was just as attentive and caring as Nong Jack. Keep it up, Nong Jack and Nong Fon! I have to say, it was such a peaceful experience staying there for 3 nights. There were many activities provided by the hotel, but I was too lazy to join them this time. Next time, I definitely will! Looking forward to going back again.

What an incredible time away from the rest of the island. We had a lovely two nights stay in private pool Villa and it was wonderful. People makes a difference and the staff have been fantastic especially the restaurant and pool team. Will definitely be back. Activities are outstanding from the bike tour, playing pool, ping pong or enjoy the most amazing floating boat. You won’t get bored for sure ! Definitely recommended and count on us to be back

Absolutely amazing place, amazing people, amazing food and service. Wonderful experience. Free shuttle bus from the hotel and pick up, free mountain bike hire which was amazing every morning. Plunge pool was exceptional. Rooms are fantastic, 2 pools and the sea, what more could you asked for.

This hotel is at the other end (southwest) of Koh Samui but what it lacks in location, it makes up in quality, service, amenities & a great breakfast. Staff are consistently attentive, warm & very helpful. And if you want to head to Chaweng or Lamai, they have a twice/day free shuttle service which makes them convenient & accessible. The resort feels kind of exclusive & unrushed & provided an excellent base for some much needed R&R & Koh Samui discovery. Would not hesitate to return again!

I recently had what I can honestly call the best massage experience of my life. From the moment I stepped into the spa at the Avani+ Hotel, the calming atmosphere immediately put me at ease. The service was exceptional; I was welcomed with refreshing tea and a cold towel before my session began. I opted for the traditional Thai massage, and it was outstanding. The therapist used a strong, firm pressure, and their technique was absolutely perfect. To finish the experience, I was served delicious tea and cookies, which was a lovely touch. If you are staying at the Avani+, you definitely shouldn’t miss this spa. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a premium treatment!

As Anantara members, we had an incredible vacation here. The rooms are stunning, quiet, and beautifully decorated, giving us a true secluded escape we were looking for. The sunset views are absolutely breathtaking! The staff provides attentive service—every request was met promptly. Our first time to the southern part of Samui and we had a great package deal with Avani+. The location is out of the way and secluded and it's a long drive (40-50 mins) from the airport and as we arrived at night, we wondered where we were headed! But a beautiful welcome when we arrived, efficient and informative check in and then were shown our pool villa, which was lovely. Bathroom had twin basins and all the amenities we could need. The shower cubicle was enormous (both a rainwater and standard shower head) and the water pressure was great. We found the beds to be firm, but they do have a small pillowtop on the mattress, so I imagine most people would find them very comfortable. I have reviewed their spa and the Essence restaurant separately, but we found both to be excellent and they have a number of themed nights each week (I can recommend the Sip and Sway). They provide a free shuttle to Chaweng twice a day (we went once, but that was more than enough! We enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the resort). Many reviews complain about the lack of a beach - and if a sandy beach and an ocean swim are your preference, then this place is not for you! It's located at the mouth of a river and there is a large expanse of rather muddy sandbank, especially at low tide. But the view is beautiful looking across to the Ang Thong Marine park islands in the distance and a beautiful sunset every night. There are 2 very nice largish pools for lap swimming and of course if you have a private pool you can relax in privacy! There is a rather gritty beach with shady beach loungers and curtained cabanas at both pools. The Tiki Hut bar is very pleasant and Song, Boss, Mus and Jaja will keep you well hydrated! We loved our time there and particularly loved all the staff who were all exceptional. Would definitely go again next time we're in Samui.

A wonderful stay for my sixth visit at this resort. As always, the pool villa was well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the resort remains incredibly relaxing. The sunset views at the bar are truly romantic and a highlight of the stay. Thank you housekeeping team always welcome me with art towel that super cute. The villa is super clean with fresh towel. Being greeted by name makes me feel welcome and right at home. Also I would like to extend a special thank you to Khun Palm from the F&B team. I have known him since my first visit, and his professional, friendly service is consistently beyond my expectations. Thank you to the entire team at Avani+ Samui for making the resort feel like my home.

It was our 2nd time in Samui after more than 10 years. This resort’s location was secluded and intimate. While the beach was not fabulous, the resort provided adequate activities if you would like to have a nice balance between relaxing by the pool/beach and seaside/pool/gym activities. We had a really memorable trip and we must give credit to Khun Rain who made this trip extra special. He was our tour guide for our cycling trip. He was responsible, warm, friendly. calm, informative and spoke good English. The next day, we went for a morning hike with him and thoroughly enjoyed the trip as well as the engaging conversations. In the evening, we joined him for a snorkelling trip (his recommendation) and it was really nice to see plenty of live corals so near to the shoreline. Thanks to Khun Rain, we felt like we had a very personal treatment, much better than the other hotels which we have been to with proper butler services. What truly made the difference was his sincerity and warmth. No job title can replicate that feeling of being taken care of. The hospitality was truly exceptional. We hope that Anantara will continue to value and guide their employees to be just as delightful. Best hotel employee we have ever met!

We spent a very enjoyable 10 days here. Very relaxing indeed, but to note we chose this location because it is away from the busy parts of the island. We hired a scooter at the hotel, and this provided the option to tour. The staff here are excellent.

We spent 3 days last week. Being vegetarians and not knowing swimming, we had some anxieties. But Avani+ Samui took care of our needs - enough vegetarian selection, providing off menu items during sickness, great transport facilities and smiling staff; not to forget the excellent room (comfortable bed especially) and the beachfront as well as activities like cycling, coffee painting etc.

Der Strand unmöglich! Man konnte nicht schwimmen gehn- es war immer nur knöcheltief- sehr schmutzig ! Mit dem Boot wäre man um 2000 Bath zum schwimmen gebracht worden. Oder 20 Minuten nach Lamai jeden Tag am Strand bringen.

Die Lage war genial: Absolut ruhig und abgeschieden, das Hotel nicht zu gross und die Betten sehr gut. Genau was ich gesucht hatte. Kein Nightlife oder ähnliches außerhalb des Hotels, weshalb die Küche des Hotels gute Thai Küche kann, internationale Küche weniger, das Frühstücks Buffet und alle Buffets Thai BBQ etc. waren aber über jeden Zweifel erhaben und sehr gut. Insgesamt ein sehr entspannender Urlaub. Wir haben Zimmer mit Frühstück gebucht gehabt und zu zweit ca 5000 BHT pro Tag nebenher im Hotel ausgegeben (Essen und Massagen etc.)

Die Klimaanlage war leider kaum bis nicht steuerbar und daher mir persönlich zu kalt. Die Poolvilla sehr schön, aber etwas zu kleine Fläche zum Liegen im Aussen Bereich. Sonst sehr luxuriös und logisch gut geplant. Der Strand sehr sauber innerhalb der Hotelgrenzen, außerhalb teilweise sehr vermüllt. Es mündet neben dem Hotel ein Fluss mit Mangrovengebiet, daher ist das Wasser etwas trüb und es liegen ca 20 Boote direkt vor dem Strand vor Anker. Es ist also immer was los. 100m rechts gibt es einen wunderschönen öffentlich zugängigen Strand mit herrlicher Farbe und sauberem Wasser wie im Katalog. Das Wasser flach und man kann weit hinaus gehen oder schwimmen, kaum Wellen. Dorthin sind wir ausgewichen und es war herrlich. Keine Strand Cowboys, Verkäufer oder Bettler. Genial!

Beds are comfortable

The food is terrible and the place is so far from anywhere that you need transport to escape. Our bill was ridiculous and we really tried our best to eat and drink out as much as possible.

Quiet romantic getaway. Restaurant has professional chefs. We have a private pool bungalow and it’s very secluded. There’s snorkeling and free shuttle all over the island

One of the best spa experiences I’ve ever had. Left feeling very refreshed with my muscles nice and relaxed. Shoutout to Nong and Dean for a great job; had a salt bath, full body massage and hair massage. Would highly recommend for anyone staying in Avani plus.

Luxe, modern, schoon en goed onderhoud. Super fijn bedlinnen en groot bed. Douche was heerlijk zowel regendouche als handdouche. Ontbijt had genoeg variatie. Scooter kunnen huren bij Hotel en eiland met scooter erg goed te verkennen. In maximaal 3 uur non-stop hele eiland rond.

Tegenover het restaurant is de ligplaats van vertrekkende boten naar eilanden. Soms draaien de motoren lang en geeft dat dieselstank bij het ontbijt.

The location was so naturally beautiful and quiet just the noise of nature Definitely recommend it if you want time to relax and recharge the staff were lovely so polite and helpful The food was so delicious and something for any taste The breakfast buffet was really tasty and again something for everyone’s taste and very reasonable priced and the view from the dining room was stunning Every staff member from the reception to the dining area team to the bar men at tiki bar to the cleaner to the gardeners to the security guards and the car park attendants couldn’t do enough for you I felt so pampered

That I didn’t stay long enough

Pięknie położony i urządzony hotel wsŕód zieleni. Duże, nowoczesne pokoje, bardzo wygodne łóżka. Restauracja ze świetnym jedzeniem (a to ważne w tej części bo nie ma tu wielu hoteli i lokalnych knajpek). Obsługa 5+. Cisza, relaks. Hotel oferuje usługę zawiezienia na Lamai Beach czy do Centrum. Team Avani than you for holidays 😘

We had a pleasant stay at this resort. The property is a bit secluded but in a good way. It is peaceful. Also, it is good for Ang thong. The staff is amazing and very helpful. They made our stay super comfortable. The food is delicious. We would have liked more vegetarian options but they tried to accommodate our requests so can't complain. There is no escalator so avoid if you have issues climbing the stairs. I would recommend it.
