Only after staying here I can see why this is not the preferred hotel at the palm beach. The check-in service and the staff at check-in (especially Timothy who was wonderful) is where the hotel peaked. After that it’s been one big disappointment! Perhaps because I paid that much more and it has the Ritz branding I expected it to be better in some ways but it’s disappointing in every way. 1) the reviews that said there is no lounge wars are way off. Yes if you want to sit at the back where you just see umbrellas sure, but it is 7:10am and I cannot get anything in the front row (all have covers I.e. taken) and the first day the supervisor who can help me book for the next day did not even show up till 7:30am and by the time he did the first two rows were gone- he didn’t apologize and nonchalantly said I should get the app and book there and that he had an interview - then staff tried to upsell me the cabanas…so tacky! Umm so yes if you’re a morning person who can get up to book through the app or run down before 7am then great but if not then this is not for you..the cortisol elevation alone is not worth this! The umbrellas are tiny and nothing can be moved so at some point you will leave because there is no respite from the sun. They were out of kids toys at 7 and told us the shop opens at 8 and we can buy it there…2) The food is of course over priced but sadly isn’t great- I only tried casa nonna but I’d much rather go to Gianni’s in town at least your 150$ meal is memorable…the breakfast is okay though. 3) nice clean rooms and bathrooms (a bit dated) with decent basic products but literally no toiletries in the bathroom beyond the basic- not even face wash or cotton balls…The chocolates are the only nice touch but the fancy chocolates you see in the reviews are only for guests in the suites - in the 800$ rooms you only get the basic chocolates 4) live music and the general vibes in the evening have been so underwhelming - I have never been more disappointed. 5) kids don’t eat free - if you get the buffet then yes under 4 eat free otherwise you even pay for a small bowl of fruit- they hand out a slice of fruit at the beach and pool in the afternoons - a nice touch but even there if they run out they will just give you the two pieces left and say sorry it’s finished - it doesn’t matter if there are 3 kids and one is having a breakdown that he didn’t get any…so if you have money to burn sure go ahead it’s certainly got an overall luxury exterior and clean large rooms- it’s a solid hotel but I’d categorize it as “no frills”.
Our family spent a week on this property and had a fantastic stay. The property was excellent and service five star. We will definitely come here again.
We had an exceptional stay at the Ritz Carlton Aruba. Every person we encountered was friendly and helpful. They made us feel welcomed. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. Our room was spacious with great views. The food was great. The service is above and beyond our expectations. Rulger stopped by each day on the beach to make sure our stay was going well. He is very friendly and personable. Ellie was our server on the beach each day. She went above and beyond taking care of us! She made our stay fantastic. We will definitely return the next time we visit Aruba.
Everything was excellent. Food, facilities and service.
Literally nothing.
We have been to this property seven times in the last 10 years. We didn’t go during Covid obviously but we would have if we could have. My husband and I are discerning travelers and we enjoy wonderful service, good food and above average rooms with friendly and attentive staff. All of that said, the Ritz Carlton surpassed all of our expectations in spades and honestly, for a very reasonable price We could not think of a better place to go in Aruba. We book every year and we will continue to do so. The staff feel like family; or really really good friends at the very least. . They recognize our names when we come!. They greet us with open arms and go above and beyond to make our trip even better than the last one. We spend our days at the pool hanging out having cocktails and relaxing. Gregory our pool server is far and away the best server we have ever seen. I can’t give him enough accolades. There isn’t enough room or time for me to sit here and tell you how great he is. He is so friendly, so attentive and makes sure your every need is met. Mitchell is another wonderful employee. He makes a certain that our pool chairs are set up every morning and again, tends to our every need with a genuine smile and genuine kindness. As a sidenote, if you’re pleasant and nice to the employees it goes a long long way. They work so incredibly hard we appreciate that and respect it. We can honestly say that they are our friends And I believe we are theirs. If there is something you want it need, you will have it. The rooms are absolutely pristine. You want for absolutely nothing, they are clean, and there are no bad views of the ocean. We are not gambling, but once a year, we budget a little cash to spend time in the casino, and if you have never been to a casino, it’s a really fun experience! If you are new, the dealers go out of their way to teach you and guide you in every game. It’s not like they’re trying to take your money and send you on your way. They get to know you I make a point to call you by your name, because they actually want to do that. If you are a veteran, they treat you with respect and give you all of the attention you deserve as a veteran gambler. lol. Marshall, Marvin, Romar and Sandra are so welcoming and funny and friendly. They all rotate around the tables every 20 minutes or so so we get to see all of them most of the night. There are others whose names escape me right now, but you won’t find any of the dealers who are unpleasant, or who have attitudes. As well We actually had some really great nights and were up! A lot! I feel should mention that no one paid us to leave this review and I was not incentive to leave it. We leave this review, organically out of sheer satisfaction with this property and all of its employees. We highly recommend it!!!
This was our 2nd visit to the Ritz Carlton Aruba. From the moment you arrive you feel so welcomed. We honestly did not think our second visit could come close to how wonderful our trip in November was, but it exceeded our expectations. We did have a small disappointment in our room location as we had booked through Delta Dream Vacations, so the view was not as great as we expected, however, the front desk staff did their best to offer a replacement. In the end it really didn't matter. The stay was perfect. We ate lunch every day from the beach and no request was denied; it was truly unbelievable. No checking with anyone to see if it could happen, they just say yes and it appears. If you have a chance eat at the sushi restaurant in the bar area, it is fantastic! Since this was our second visit, we were so happy to see some familiar faces and again this is a testament to the service you receive at this hotel. Even though there are places very close that you could have a less expensive meal, you really cannot beat the truly exceptional service you get from the staff at the Ritz. There are so many people we interacted with that were wonderful. Eric & Rutger made several stops by us over the week to just check in and see how our stay was. A Special thanks to Dilwyn (our 2nd experience with him and just WOW!) and Eduardo for exceptional food service at the beach, Hazler who helped us with beach chairs, Melissa for always making sure we had our frozen cappuccino! She is amazing. Lastly a special thanks to Zevon. We had met him setting up our beach chairs and then a storm came out of nowhere and just soaked everything. While the storm passed my husband talked to him about how much we loved the Papaya hot sauce and were going to walk in to town to find it. He offered to go on his break and buy it for us if we did not get any when in town! When we returned (with our hot sauce) he followed us over replaced all the wet towels and from that moment on he stopped by our chairs daily to check on us to see if there was anything we needed. I know this is long, but I hope these messages get to this amazing staff and they know that in such little ways they truly made our visit the wonderful and will not be our last. Until next year! Nothing it was perfect
Aruba was everything we hoped for and more! 🌴☀️ From the beautiful beaches and crystal-clear water to the amazing food and unforgettable sunsets, every day felt like paradise. We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Aruba, where the staff went above and beyond to make our family vacation special, particularly Jose at the Cocktail Bus and Shaunette our room attendant. The resort was spotless, the service was exceptional, and there was something for everyone to enjoy. We’re heading home with wonderful memories and already talking about our next trip back. Highly recommend Aruba for families, couples, or anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!
Our first time to Aruba and this resort. Everything was perfect. All the little details that you don't necessarily think about are evident. Fresh water stations and high quality sunscreen at pools and beach. Cushioned beach loungers are amazingly comfortable. Freezies handed out at the beach were a nice touch! The water is amazing, clear water and soft sand. Service everywhere was fantastic. The resort truly knows how to cater to your needs. Restaurants are walking distance and so many options to choose from. We also felt that the resort being at the end of the strip was extra quiet and peaceful. Rooms and the entire resort were emaculately clean. This was truly an Aruba luxury experience for us. We've stayed at the Kimpton Seafire Resort in Grand Cayman and that set the bar for us for a luxury resort experience. The Ritz met that bar in all aspects. Highly recommend!
We had the most astounding experience with the Ritz Aruba team and cannot speak highly enough about them. We booked a pool-side cabana most days on property as well as pool-side lounges on our final day and the memories that they all helped us create will never be forgotten. With David and Erik leading the F&B and rec teams respectively, the attention to detail and guest experience was something to behold. While I'm sure there are many people supporting behind the scenes, I need to give shoutouts to Cris, Conroy, Greg, JC, and Dennis for making every minute feel special. We will certainly be back and in the meantime will be hard-pressed to find a vacation experience that will rise to the bar set by this team. Thank you all!
From the moment we arrived, our stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba was nothing short of perfection. Every single aspect of our experience was first-class, embodying the absolute pinnacle of luxury hospitality combined with genuine, heartfelt warmth. What truly sets this property apart is its authentic service. Throughout our stay, nothing was ever too much trouble for the team and every interaction felt personal and deeply cared for. Highlights of Our Stay: * The Pool & Beach Team: Gregory and the entire pool team were simply incredible, ensuring every comfort was anticipated and delivered with a smile. * Leadership Presence: It was wonderful to see David Coster and Crismar constantly visible and engaged across the property, personally ensuring every guest was having an exceptional experience. * A huge thank you to Vianca for sourcing a dozen orange roses as a surprise for my wife on our anniversary. * Culinary Excellence: The Food & Beverage team went above and beyond every single day, making every meal a special occasion. Special shout-out to Joshua, who was a fantastic server at Casa Nonna, and Angelo, who provided equally stellar service at the Noor Lounge. If you are looking for a flawless getaway where luxury meets true human connection, look no further than The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba. We leave tomorrow. We cannot wait to return!
We just returned from a fantastic few days with our adult children. All aspects of our trip were excellent. We have enjoyed the property several times in the past and will continue to come back as long as we can! The staff is amazing and truly go out of their way to make sure all needs are met. We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff went out of their way to make us feel special. Shout out to the staff of the 7th floor...Anges, Sergio, Zion and Ven... for all their little special attention for us. We spent a few days by the adult pool (a nice break to escape all the young kids on the beach) and the adult pool staff was exceptionally attentive. Shout out to JC for the extra attention...not only was he able to find me Diet Coke (not sure what was going with the Diet Coke supply last week but the entire resort seemed to be out of it by Tuesday), but when a few hours later I asked if for another one he said he would look around...magically he returned with an ice bucket with 2 Diet Cokes which he was able to track down! He was excellent prior to that but then became the Diet Coke magician from that point on! The other staff at the adult pool was also excellent and when the pool manager found out it was our anniversary he went above and beyond to acknowledge it! My daughter and I had massages at the spa which were excellent. Julia gives a wonderful Hot Stone Massage! Only critique would be the the prices at the restaurants and lobby bar are high for food and drinks...$75 for the appetizer special at Nonnas seemed to be excessive in our opinion. Food and drink prices at the beach/pool are also high however, it is the Ritz so you know what you are signing up for when you stay here.
Gregory was truly incredible. He did such an amazing job and went above and beyond to ensure that my fiancée had the best bachelorette trip of all time.
Gregory provided the best service ive ever had. When staying at the ritz, great service is the standard, so you can only imagine how great Greg was to be so above and beyond. I traveled for my bachelorette and Gregory made me feel special, celebrated, and went out of his way to go above and beyond. I asked for dr pepper and while the hotel didnt serve any, he left the hotel and bought some from nearby. He remembered my name from our first introduction, and was so quick with service. The best part was, its apparent Gregory loves his job and genuinely cares. We will be back just for him!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Unforgettable Stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba From the moment we stepped foot on the property, we knew our stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba was going to be something special. We have traveled to many beautiful places, but we have honestly never felt as welcomed, cared for, and genuinely appreciated as we did here. The resort itself is absolutely stunning and impeccably maintained. Every area—from the lobby and restaurants to the pool, beach, and guest rooms—was spotless. The property is beautiful, but what truly separates this resort from anywhere else we have stayed is its extraordinary staff. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made us feel as though we were their only guests. There are far too many wonderful people to mention, but a few individuals made our stay especially memorable. Lynndon, who took care of us by the pool and beach, was absolutely incredible. He was attentive, kind, personable, and always seemed to anticipate exactly what we needed. He consistently went above and beyond and played such a big part in making our days by the water so relaxing and enjoyable. David, one of the managers overseeing the pool and food and beverage experience, was phenomenal from beginning to end. His hospitality was on another level. He took exceptional care of us throughout our entire stay and even helped create an unforgettable dinner-on-the-beach experience that we will always remember. David’s genuine kindness, attention to detail, and commitment to making our trip special perfectly represent everything The Ritz-Carlton brand stands for. Gregory was another incredible part of our experience. His warmth, hospitality, and genuine personality made every interaction memorable. It was people like Gregory who made us feel completely at home while still giving us the five-star experience we came to Aruba hoping for. Every person we encountered treated us with sincere kindness and made us feel like family. This was more than simply a beautiful vacation—it was an experience we will talk about for years to come. If you are considering a trip to Aruba, do not hesitate to stay at The Ritz-Carlton. The resort is breathtaking, the service is unmatched, and the people are truly exceptional. We cannot thank the entire team enough for giving us one of the most memorable trips we have ever taken. We cannot wait to return!
We had the best experience at the Ritz. This is our 3rd time here and the ambiance and service never disappoints. Rutger, David, Antoine, Eduardo, Gregory, Londynn, and the entire team made the experience incredible. Dorshon at breakfast was terrific too. Can’t wait to come back in a few months. Everyone is so nice and welcoming.
Services absolutely amazing highly recommend I’ve been to every hotel there nothing that taps the RITZ. THE casino is so fun. Reno is the director he’s top-notch professional. We love it here so much everyone at the pool is so kind considerate helpful I cannot say enough. At the pleasure of Germain serving me a couple times for lunch and helping with a brutal hangover cheers to him outstanding.

Great experience with food and exceptional service. Rutger was so friendly and accommodating. He made our visit very special. We will definitely be coming back.
We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba. We were here to celebrate our engagement, and the entire experience was beyond anything we could have hoped for. From the beach and Club Lounge to the restaurants, spa, and our private engagement dinner, the staff went above and beyond to make this trip incredibly special. We will absolutely be back. There are so many people who deserve recognition: Beach & Guest Services: Eduardo with the Segway service and Verne were fantastic and always made us feel taken care of. Club Lounge: There are honestly too many amazing employees to mention, but the entire Club team was exceptional. A special thank you to Sigmar (Ziggy), who made the best lattes every morning and always provided incredible service. Zion also went above and beyond and even hooked us up with casino credits! Jose, Sergio, Agnes, Min, and especially Arelys, who was so sweet and kind every time we saw her, all helped make the Club experience one of our favorite parts of the stay. Casa Nonna: Our server Ria was wonderful and made our dinner feel incredibly special. Private Engagement Dinner: This was one of the highlights of our entire trip. Chef Lucian and our waiter Pedro made the evening after our engagement something we will remember for the rest of our lives. The food, service, attention to detail, and overall experience were incredible. They truly made such an important night even more memorable. Spa: We had a couples deep tissue massage with Robin and Elsa, and they were both outstanding. Easily one of the best deep tissue treatments we have had and a perfect way to relax during the trip. What really stood out was how genuinely kind and attentive everyone was. This wasn’t just a beautiful resort or a great vacation—it became a place that will always be special to us because we got engaged here and because of the people who helped make the entire experience so memorable. Thank you to the whole Ritz-Carlton Aruba team for making such an important trip in our lives truly unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back!
We have been vacationing at the Ritz-Carlton Aruba regularly over the past four years and love it here! The beach is quiet, and the pool and beachside service are excellent. Food and drinks are delicious! I would highly recommend to families or couples looking to relax.
We had the most amazing experience at the Ritz Carlton in Aruba! We rented a cabana by the 18+ pool one day where Jean Carlo took care of us all day. He was so attentive, friendly, and genuinely kind. Not only did he take care of us that day, but the next day he made it a point to take care of us even though we didn’t rent a cabana that day. We were just sitting by the pool when he came by with buckets of ice, water bottles, and cups with lemon and lime slices. He also remembered that I loved the iced coffee from the day before and brought me one without me asking! He brought my husband a hot chocolate as well! Jean Carlo really made our amazing experience even more special and memorable! Love this hotel!! A++ experience for sure! More importantly, the employees at the Ritz Carlton make an incredible experience even better!
Very clean rooms everything was amazing
Start to finish a wonderful experience across the board. Zevon took care of us poolside and provided excellent care and service. I was very happy to celebrate a milestone birthday here!
Top notch service, beautiful weather, and welcoming hospitality! We just returned from a wonderful week at the Ritz Aruba. Let me say, we definitely were not ready to leave. Everyone at the property is welcoming, friendly, and hospitable. We were welcomed with Prosecco, treated to thoughtful amenities in the room, and greeted by name each time we returned to a venue. The staff was top notch. My family is Gluten Free and the servers and staff at every restaurant went out of their way to accommodate us. When you arrive at each dining establishment they ask you if you have any food allergies (even at the beach & pool). The breakfast buffet had a dedicated Gluten Free bread section with it's own toaster!! (Great GF options most places, but unfortunately no GF buns) We encountered a lot of wonderful staff: Ana at breakfast every day, Ely at the beach, Super Mario at Casa Nonno's, Micheline at Noori, and Jose at the Pop Up Beach Bar. One staff member who truly made our trip stand out was Jenssen at Noori. He was delightful from the jump and we went back daily for a drink or another sushi roll (or both). Jenssen is truly a gem!! The rooms very also very nice and spacious. Plenty of drawer space and closets with organizers made it very easy for all 3 of us to unpack and enjoy the room. One thing to remember in Aruba is that all beaches are public. The Ritz does a great job of keeping non guests off their chairs (the best they can). I also really appreciated the app where you can pre-book your beach chairs for the next day. I know everyone at the hotel is diligently working to make the property the best it can possibly be. My suggestions would be: improving the breakfast potatoes (minor I know but they were undercooked), GF buns, and a beach/pool shop on the same level as the pool and beach with family friendly beach attire (rash guards, swimwear, beach shoes), floats, sand toys, snacks, sun care, etc. We have been to other resorts that have shops like these and they are a life saver for families.
Habitaciones cómodas
O pasaba calor o frío con el aire
Great place to stay. All of the restraints were great. We stayed while the lobby was under construction- would have loved that view. Was above the child pool, but it wasn’t a problem. The outdoor bar staff openly fought over tips, a bit uncomfortable, but they were super nice to us. The beach umbrellas will not protect you on a hot day, but it is Aruba. Well go back. Again- restraints were incredible, and the drink guy in the van puts pride in his craft.
Such a wonderful time indulging in the luxurious service at This resort ! All our needs were met and our ocean front king suite was impeccably clean and manicured to the finest detail . The lounge floor made all my family feel Like VIPS so fun!! Jose Luis the barman extraordinaire! Espresso Martinis were flowing ! And then for a special treat : the Yellow Van BAR AT THR POOL/Beach area had the pleasure of being entertained by Jose as he made the most fabulous blended cocktails . Work of art & taste Divine ! Can’t wait to come back !
We recently spent 10 days at The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba over the July 4 holiday, and the experience reminded us why Aruba continues to be one of our favorite destinations. My wife and I have visited Aruba about a dozen times, and this was our second stay at The Ritz-Carlton. It will not be our last. The property is among the very best hotels we have ever experienced. From check-in onward, the team makes you feel genuinely welcomed, and everyone we encountered seemed focused on making our stay memorable. Exceptional Service from Start to Finish The staff throughout the resort were warm, professional, and attentive. We especially want to thank Andres Diaz, Front Office Manager, for his assistance before our arrival and for helping make our stay extra special. The entire team delivered outstanding service from beginning to end. In the Club Lounge, under Mildre’s leadership, guests are treated like valued friends. The food, atmosphere, and service are all top shelf. Sergio and Giva, the concierge team, attended to every detail of our stay, while Zion, Jose, and Agnes took excellent care of our food and beverage needs. Ziggy, though new to the team, deserves special mention for going out of his way to deliver exceptional customer service. The same level of care continued at the beach and pool. Everyone we met seemed to share the same mission: to make our stay wonderful. Eduardo at the beach tended to our every need, and Andrew at the pool deserves special recognition for his leadership and superb customer service. Aruba is known as “One Happy Island,” and The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba has become our happy place there. We cannot wait to return.
We had the pleasure of a two-night complimentary stay thanks to the Ritz Carlton Casino. The ocean front king room was absolutely amazing. Although we own a condo on the island, we embrace the opportunity to have a "vacation within a vacation" and the Ritz never disappoints. Always a highlight is an ocean front private cabana where a 10' walk has you at the pool. The food at the Maldero Pool Bar & Grill is delicious and the beachside service by the attendants is unmatched by any other hotel on the island. I kid you not - the attendants are at your "beck and call". The sunset on the deck of the Divi Lobby Bar is stunning and dinner at Casa Nona's is always a delight. To top it off, visiting the Ritz Casino is always a fun experience; complimentary cocktails, friendly and efficient servers, high ceilings with great lighting, helpful personnel at the player's club, a wide range of slots, and table play where the "dealers" are like old friends.
Noori at the Ritz-Carlton Aruba was one of the standout experiences of our trip, and much of that was thanks to Ashley. Before we even sat down, Ashley went above and beyond to help arrange a table perfectly timed for sunset. What could have been just another dinner became one of those vacation memories we’ll talk about long after we’ve returned home. Her attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and genuine desire to make our evening special were evident from the very beginning. Throughout the meal, Ashley was exceptional—warm, professional, knowledgeable, and effortlessly attentive without ever being intrusive. She anticipated needs before we had to ask, offered excellent recommendations, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Hospitality is often talked about, but Ashley embodies it. Lyn and Destiny were equally wonderful and helped create a seamless dining experience from start to finish. A special shout-out as well to Haime at the bar. If you’re visiting Noori, do yourself a favor and ask for his Hemingway Daiquiri. Perfectly balanced, refreshing, and one of the best cocktails we enjoyed in Aruba. The food was outstanding, the setting spectacular, and the service truly world-class. Ashley’s efforts to secure the perfect sunset table transformed a great dinner into an unforgettable evening. Five stars, and we can’t wait to return.
Perfect location, amazing staff, always in for a good talk, beautiful beach
Instalaciones insuperables, la playa hermosa, todo el personal muy atento y educado

We are into our 2nd full day here and just love this property and staff. From the front desk and bell hops to the bartenders and waitstaff on the beach everyone does their job with a smile. The hotel rooms are gorgeous and spacious. The restaurants both in and outdoor are terrific. The beach is away from the heavy crowds down by the St.Regis which is wonderful the only down side is a short cab ride to most of the restaurant in the evening. You do not have to leave this hotel at all but it's nice to have other dining options and bars. You get what you pay for and this is without a doubt a great spot when in Aruba.
My wife and I just finished another relaxing stay at The Ritz-Carlton in Aruba, and it was truly exceptional. We stayed on the Club Level, where the staff, led by Alexsander and Mildre, along with Celia, Agnes, Zion, Min, Siegmar, Sergio, Zahir, Christian, Giva, and Arelys, provided us with outstanding service. They always greeted us by name every time we entered the club room, adding a personal touch to our experience. We were celebrating a special birthday for my wife, and the team went above and beyond to make her stay extraordinary, surprising her with many thoughtful treats. The staff on the beach was also welcoming, polite, and accommodating. Our afternoons were made even more enjoyable by Jose at the VW bar, who served us superb adult fruity beverages that we hadn't encountered anywhere else. The Ritz-Carlton is our favorite destination for relaxation, and we are eagerly looking forward to our next visit to this paradise.
This hotel is amazing and definitely worth the price. The rooms were gorgeous and the staff was great at keeping everything clean and organized. The drinks are great and I especially loved Jose’s drinks at the bus. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive and really made sure our experience was amazing. Brandon at the grill was so nice and helpful and really focused on giving us the best service possible. All of the food was amazing at all of the restaurants and there are delicious places really close to the resort as well if you want something different. Casa Nonna was fabulous Italian and Eduardo was an amazing waiter and super helpful when choosing what to eat. Everything felt so luxurious and detailed and they work very hard to make everyone feel as relaxed as possible.
Just returned from 4 days at the Ritz Carlton Aruba. Everything was perfect!! The service was fantastic, everyone was friendly and eager to please. Special shout out to the following: Housekeeping- We have never seen a room kept so clean and organized. Bar staff at the pool bar, great drinks, great conversation and great fun. Josh and Josh at the Casa Nonna restaurant, very friendly and great service and great food. Management- they found out we were celebrating our 45th anniversary and and everyone went out of their way to make the trip special. Champagne and deserts delivered to our room, celebration balloons to our room. Everything from the time we checked in was perfect, by far the best hotel we have ever stayed at.
My husband and I recently enjoyed a wonderful week-long stay at The Ritz-Carlton Aruba in a Club Level King Room overlooking the ocean and Palm Beach. From the moment we arrived, the service was truly exceptional. Prior to our stay, I had exchanged emails with Christian, one of the Club Concierge, and he was there to personally greet us upon arrival. Although our original room did not offer the privacy we had hoped for (corner facing another corner), Christian & Sergio, another Club Concierge, went above and beyond to find us the perfect room. They even offered a one-bedroom suite, but knowing I wanted a view looking down the beach, we were ultimately offered a beautiful oceanfront room that exceeded our expectations. We were greeted in our room with champagne, a fruit basket, and a thoughtful wedding anniversary card to welcome us. The Club Lounge was one of the highlights of our stay. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts and lunches there daily, often stopped in for afternoon snacks and cocktails, and occasionally ended the evening with a digestif. The food and variety were excellent. But what made the experience so special was the staff. By our second day, they all knew us by name and anticipated our needs before we even asked. A special thank you to the Club Concierges, Christian, Sergio, and Giva, as well as the attendants Celia, Agnes, Zion, Min, Siegmar, and Zahir, whose warmth and attentiveness made us feel genuinely valued. Shoutout also to the lady behind the scenes, Arelys! The service throughout the resort was outstanding. The beach staff, especially Jean Claude, took excellent care of us each day. We loved the convenience of beach service and the prompt delivery of food and cocktails. The adult pool staff were equally friendly and attentive. We had a nice chat with Vernes, a pool attendant, one day and really enjoyed hearing about some of the Islands history. Smiley, in pool service, was always ready to take our order:) Dining was another highlight. We had an excellent dinner at BLT Steak, where both the food and service were exceptional, and thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Noori. Having stayed at many Ritz-Carlton properties throughout the Caribbean, North America, and Europe, we can honestly say that the service at The Ritz-Carlton Aruba ranks among the very best we have experienced. Every staff member we encountered seemed genuinely committed to making our stay memorable. We left with wonderful memories and look forward to returning in the future.
It’s our last full day in Aruba and our stay has been nothing short of exceptional. We have been searching for a place to go for our 10 year anniversary and since it was only going to be a short trip, we intended to spend all our time in the property of choice so it had to check all the boxes: Clean, good food/drinks, and at the top of our list-service and hospitality. We didn’t want to feel disappointed or let down at any point during our stay. For a while, we were going back and forth between the newer St. Regis property and The Ritz and from our first couple of hours at The Ritz, we knew that we’d made the right choice. We were greeted by Christian at the front desk, who was so pleasant and made our check-in process smooth. Joseph, the front desk manager, came out and took his time to welcome us. He not only gave us an introduction to the property, but he also took his time to get to know us. He made himself available to us should we have any trouble or need anything but so far, we have had absolutely no reason to. The property itself is beautiful. It has this classic, charming, old-world Dutch-Caribbean vibe. It is located on the far end of the strip, so the beach offers a calmer retreat compared to other resorts-perfect for relaxation. There are plenty of beach chairs. We never felt like we had to fight for chairs. The rooms are a bit dated but spacious and beds are comfortable, so no complaints there. They set us up with balloons and bubbly to kick-start our celebration. The service is truly what sets The Ritz apart from others. One step outside the resort and we immediately felt the difference. Everyone greeted us with a smile. A lot of staff made such an impression on us and has made our stay so wonderful. They genuinely tried to get to know us and anticipated our needs before we even said anything. I cannot say enough about them and they are worth mentioning. Emilia from Madera was such a delight. After learning that it was our anniversary, she asked what our favorite drink was and brought it out for us. Our drinks arrived while my husband stepped out. When he was back, Emilia didn’t miss a beat and replaced his unopened beer because she thought “it is now warm.” A perfect example of anticipating our needs before we even realized it. At the beach, level of hospitality shined. Marilyn from the beach graciously set us up with a bimini lounger for the next day. When we got there, we found that they had “Happy Anniversary” balloons set-up. They even set us up with a champagne toast to continue the celebration. Jamaika is a true gem. She mentioned that she is proud to work at The Ritz because it so closely resembles the values of the people of Aruba which we agree with 100% since everyone was so warm and friendly. You can tell she loves what she does and she went above and beyond to make sure that we were enjoying ourselves. Andrew was so nice and very attentive. He noticed that I kept having to move my legs to avoid full sun. Without me asking, he offered to move the canopy to give us more shade. Others worth mentioning who also helped make our stay more pleasant were Ruiz & Rousseau from the beach, Jun & Janet from Solanio and Lynn from the bar upstairs. Our dinner at BLT was great. Our steak and lamb chops were cooked to absolute perfection. Service was a little impersonal if not cold, but it’s not something we would have noticed if not for the exceptionally warm service everywhere else. Nonetheless, nothing to complain too much about. Our stay so far has been spectacular. Thank you to all those who helped make our stay so special. The property caters to both families and couples alike. There is something for everyone. We can’t wait to come back and next time, with our daughter!
We frequent Aruba multiple times a year and we always have dinner at the Sushi Lounge at the Ritz Carlton. The view from the upper patio is simply stunning while the food and drinks are outstanding. Our dining experience is always a ten when our favorite waiter, Jenssen, is working. Jenssen always makes us feel so special and is truly an exceptional waiter. Thank you Jenssen for your impeccable service and hospitality!

I came to check out the Ritz Carlton while on a trip to Aruba with my best friend. We came across the most amazing Veuve Clicquot van with drinks served outside. Jose, who is the best bartender who works the van made the most delicious drinks in a coconut and it was delish! He makes the best spicy margaritas that he calls it spicy Mama! Come check it out!
Beautiful beach, nice rooms, best club lounge of the Caribbean Ritz Carltons. Traveled to celebrate a birthday and Zahir, Agnes and Sergio at the club lounge went above and beyond to make it very special! Cabanas at the adult pool are worth it and Gregory was absolutely amazing!! Appreciated the ability to reserve free beach and pool umbrellas the day before and not get up early to play the chair game prevalent at many resorts.
The physical resort was a great location and away from the loud hustle and bustle. We had a car which is probably mandatory staying here if you want to go off property but we did walk down by the Holiday Inn area where it's loud and busy. We were mid check in when the person next to us started complaining about the verbiage of their room title vs what they booked. Not really sure how/why but we suddenly were told to have a seat and our room would be ready in twenty minutes. We can only assume that they reassigned our room to this guest. We booked the early flight into Aruba to land at 2pm and arrive at the hotel at check-in 4pm so that we could swim and enjoy the resort prior to dinner. At 4:20 we asked about the status of our room and we were told it was just waiting for a supervisor to complete the inspection which takes 30-45mins which sounds quite unbelievable. I would have expected to be offered drinks/snacks from the bar, but we were told it would be ready soon. At 4:40 a supervisor came by and could see we weren't happy and inquired as to why. I informed her check-in is at 4pm and it's now 4:40 and we were told our room would be ready at 4:20. She went to the desk for 10 mins and came back and told us the room would be ready in 20-30 mins and apologized for the confusion. There was no confusion, check in is 4pm and she is now telling us our room won't be ready until 5:10-5:20, With 6:15 dinner reservations we won't have time to enjoy the pool before dinner. Around 5:15 our room was ready but no one informed the porters. We called down and they were having trouble finding our luggage and our room. At 5:50pm our luggage was delivered in just enough time to get dressed for dinner. The porter that delivered our luggage was 12/10 and asked if we wanted a fridge and fan for the room! The fridge in the room is useless because it's filled with overpriced items vs going to the local market and buying water/drinks at normal prices. This employee gets MVP for the stay and was compensated accordingly!!! While at dinner our fridge and fan were delivered to the room. I should note that we booked our room months in advance and were promised that we would be put on the highest available floor for our room type and given the best view. Our room was on the second floor of seven. Housekeeping did a pretty good job of honoring our preferences for cleaning times. The other reason besides the check in disaster which is not how anyone wants to start their trip was the beach experience. We noticed jet skis operated by employees of the neighboring jet ski rental operating at top speed with in a foot of the swim area. I am not aware of Arubian law regarding this, but internationally when there's a swim area 200 ft is the standard. The following day a jet ski almost struck a swimmer who flailed his arms to get the attention of the operator (employee). The employee then comes back full speed and does a power turn to throw a wall of water at the guest. Every beach employee of the Ritz sees this and every guest on the beach stops and watches at this employee then berates this guest and using vulgar language in front of women and children and when he notices everyone watching him he says "Do not come to Aruba, all of you should not come back to Aruba, stay away, we don't want you here." Not a single employee did a thing to help this guest as this maniac continued to operate recklessly around guest. We reported it with video to the hotel. Where we come from that video alone would warrant an arrest. I contacted the police who didn't even come to speak with me or ask for the video. The Ritz clearly did not address it because for the next four days this recklessness continued. My 11 and 13 year old daughters were terrified during the incident and thought the man was drunk. I was considering renting a jet ski but would never after this experience, nor would I ever stay at a resort that my kids can't safely swim in the ocean. We had high hopes staying at the Ritz. It's not the nicest hotel we've ever stayed at but it was certainly a splurge and we had hoped it would be an amazing experience but next time I'd save money and stay at the Marriott, Hilton, or a time share.
Amazing experience at this phenomenal hotel. Food was great and so was the service. A huge shout out to Jose with his pop up bar in the Volkswagen, his drinks are awesome
This resort is second to none. We were treated like royalty all week long. It was a birthday celebration and my wife and I were catered to. Lyndon, Gregory, Antonio, Jean Claude, Ellie, and many others went above and beyond
It's indistinguishable to see and describe a mixologist with so much talent and knowledge in what he does best: making addictive cocktails and drinks with unique and delicious recipes. I remember the Tamarind Mezcalita; he explained to me that it's a fruit from Aruba and the Caribbean. The spicy guava margarita was mega wow! His "crazy monkey" with banana and three different rums, not to mention his exotic mojito and pina colada... super addictive, 1000/10! Follow him at @exoticreationsaruba; I'm one of his fans.
I do look forward to my trips to Aruba but they would not be complete without a visit to Jose’s truck - exotic creations at the Ritz. His drinks are a masterpiece! Beautiful to look at, taste amazing and so large!
Would not stay again unfortunately. Disappointing on multiple levels. The Ritz is a beautiful property on the island. The staff is kind and courteous, however our experience was not ideal. 1. We had issues at checkin. We used Trip Advisor booking and there were problems with room assignments. Trip Advisor had one room type- Ritz had another category lower. 1 hour lost. Room assignment not ideal. 2. There is one pool at Ritz accessible to children. The other pool 18* 3. Beds are high, one of my children fell off and bumped her head. We could not have another bed brought in due to room assignments. 4. Ritz charges 110 resort fees on top of our reservation per day. Trip Advisor failed to share. Unexpected hidden fees at checkout. 5. The resort is vert transactional. Every activity has a cost and every person is looking for a fee per transaction. 6. The resort is remote, good and bad. You need a car unless just staying at hotel. 7. Food expensive but the cost for quality not on par. Would not stay again, unfortunately. This one missed the mark for excellence which the Ritz strives to provide at a cost.
We had an absolutely incredible stay! From the welcome email before we arrived, to the super kind front desk staff, and the awesome beach and pool staff — no attention to detail was missed. This hotel was the only one on Palm Beach who would guarantee us connecting rooms, as we booked about 6 months out. We traveled as a family of four, with two teens, so the space and extra bathroom spaces to spread out was needed. The guest relations team was very helpful in getting us all set up for a great week of fun in the sun! The hotel has sunblock, bottled waters, and towels everywhere you turn. We rented beach cabanas every day and loved the guaranteed shade, impeccable service, and truly wonderful experience. Great food, even better drinks, and a beautiful (and quiet!) hotel made our trip relaxing and memorable!
Overall very good
Staying at the Ritz for the first time has been an unforgettable experience, and it’s truly the people here who make it exceptional. We’re in Aruba celebrating my son’s first birthday, and tonight’s dinner at Casa Nova turned into something really special—thanks to our server, Mario (who absolutely deserves the nickname “The super Mario”). We initially chose an outdoor table, but with a cranky baby and restless kids, things quickly became stressful. Mario immediately stepped in with such patience, warmth, and genuine care. Without hesitation, he reassured us that he would make our evening better—and he truly delivered. He thoughtfully arranged for us to move to a more comfortable indoor table, making sure our kids were at ease and that we could actually relax and enjoy the night. What stood out wasn’t just the action, but the way he did it—with humility, kindness, and a calm, friendly presence that completely turned our evening around. He went above and beyond in every sense, not because he had to, but because he genuinely cared. This is exactly what sets the Ritz apart—the people. Mario is a shining example of the level of service and heart that defines this brand. We will never forget his warmth and exceptional hospitality. Ritz is truly lucky to have him
This is our second time staying at the Ritz Carlton and each time it gets even better! The service cannot be beat. Everyone makes you feel special. From the front desk, to the wait staff, to the service on the beach - they teat you like you are their number one guest. The beach is beautiful. We got bumped up to a suite and the room was amazing. I can't say enough about this place. We will definitely be back soon
Went for our Honeymoon, we enjoyed every minute of our stay, the staff was friendly and welcoming. On our last night my husband and I booked a private dinner and it was the best food we had our entire stay and that says a lot because we the food was amazing everywhere else. Chef Lucien Pantoflet was phenomenal and even came out to speak to us. Shahir was a our waiter and he was the most wonderful person, super friendly and personal, and on top of that very attentive with our service, he even went above and beyond to get us a cocktail from the other bar because we mentioned we wanted to try it. On top of that they gave us a nice souvenir. It was truly an amazing experience 10/10. Would do it again!!
Our experience at the pop-up bar at the The Ritz-Carlton Aruba this past October was truly unforgettable—and Jose was the reason why. From the moment we sat down, he made us feel welcomed and taken care of in a way that felt genuine and effortless. His cocktails were not only beautifully presented, but also perfectly crafted—every detail was on point. You can tell he takes pride in what he does, and it absolutely shows in the experience he creates. What stood out the most was how Jose turned a simple night out into a memorable part of our trip. It wasn’t just about the drinks—it was the energy, the conversation, and the level of service that made it feel so special. We can't wait to see him in June for the marathon, and without a doubt, visiting Jose again is at the top of our list. Thank you for such an amazing experience—we can’t wait to be back! 🍍🥥🍹
Very mixed feelings about my recent 8-night stay. Although I love this property and it's my favorite Ritz-Carlton, I didn't see any acknowledgment of my loyalty or my multiple stays at the Ritz-Carlton Aruba. No fruit, chocolate, champagne, nothing. The last time I stayed at this hotel, I ended up having 150K or so in Bonvoy points added to my account because of my experience at the beach. Again, like the last stay, I have nothing but compliments for the Pool Staff. I'd give them an 11 out of 10. The Front Desk gets an 8/10. The restaurants 10/10. All of the Hosts, Servers, and Managers 10/10. Maid Service 9/10. Overall, I gave it an 8.5/10. It should be a perfect 10/10, as I expect from my favorite hotel brand, The Ritz-Carlton. I want to come back, and I know that I will. I'm hoping to come back the last week of summer. A couple of side notes for either great or poor service The pool staff went above and beyond to make sure my family had the best time. The employee at the van where you get smoothies and daiquiris provided poor service, no communication, and I had to wait for him to finish his conversation with his girlfriend. Last, there were dirty plates and wet towels on the table just outside the elevator doors on my floor. It was there for over 6 hours. Bathrooms are extremely clean. The Club n/a because I didn't go there, but I remember from previous stays. This is the most beautiful Club Lounge I've personally been to. I will be back! That said, thank you for your email and request for my feedback. TWEN
Our stay at the Ritz Carlton Aruba was absolutely amazing, and the service was truly impeccable from start to finish. Every detail was thoughtfully considered to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. From the very beginning, the Guest Relations Coordinator, Brendon Derival, was incredibly helpful in planning our itinerary, making our trip seamless and stress-free. The dining experiences were equally outstanding. The food at BLT Steakhouse was delicious, with each dish perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The highlight of our stay was the unforgettable candlelight dinner on the beach. Chef Pantoflet crafted an exceptional four-course meal and even came out to personally speak with us, adding a special and memorable touch to the evening. Evelyn did a wonderful job setting up our table on the sand under enchanting string lights and thoughtfully included a portable speaker to enhance the ambiance. She was warm, friendly, and attentive, ensuring that every detail was perfect. Chef Pantoflet and Evelyn make the perfect team to create the most memorable dining experience. The property is beautiful, located on a quieter stretch of pristine beach. There were plenty of beach chairs and the beach side service was wonderful. We highly recommend this hotel and especially the candlelight beach dinner experience. It was truly magical and made our stay one to remember
We absolutely loved our stay at the Ritz-Carlton Aruba! Our family of three recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba, and it truly was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and effortless hospitality that made us feel both at home and completely taken care of. The resort itself is beautiful, with a stunning stretch of beach, clear turquoise water, and grounds that are kept in perfect condition. Our room was spacious, spotless, and had incredible ocean views that we never got tired of waking up to. What stood out most throughout our stay was the entire staff. Whether it was house-keeping, a waiter from one of the restaurants, or the concierge, each always greeted us with a smile and a warm hello! Everyone we interacted with was kind, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay special.
Very clean and updated. 2 pools and easy access to the beach. Food was great and service was excellent. Ashely from Noori and Alberto-best bartender.
Family of 4 (2 teens) had a wonderful stay at the Ritz Carlton Aruba! Our room was clean and view was fantastic (ocean view room), service was fantastic in the lobby, helping with taxis, restaurants, housekeeping, etc. The common spaces & lobby bar/terrace were great and the pools were perfect. One of the reasons we chose the Ritz is because we have 2 gluten free family members and the hotel did not disappoint. Chefs Lucien and Nando both spoke with us on multiple occasions and told us all our options & the preparation of everything and it was wonderful for my daughter to be able to feel comfortable eating at all the restaurants and the pool, and even daily GF waffles/pancakes which isn't always easy to find where we live or even on vacation sometimes. All the servers were fantastic as well, in restaurants and at the pool. Coffee shop was never too crowded and an easy way to start they day. The app for the chairs by pool/beach was easy to use & even without getting on it at the crack of dawn we got chairs/umbrella every day. You do have to get on it early if you want chairs close to the water (no thanks for us b/c of the wind/sand anyway) or the first row by the pool. They don't reserve all of them so you can still get chairs I think as long as you don't wait until the afternoon. We prefer a somewhat quieter resort with less crowds so it was perfect for us, though for those who want to be walking distance to nightlife, lots of restaurants, etc it might be too quiet/mellow. The main restaurant/hotel area of Palm Beach was a $10 taxi ride away, 5-10 min. My only negative is that the shops didn't have much variety in snacks or toiletries/pharmacy options but the Marriott next door had more options (sorry Ritz!). They also didn't have any fun Aruba items like shirts/hats/other doodads, everything was pretty much Ritz branded.
Our stay at the Ritz-Carlton was absolutely amazing. We traveled with our infant and toddler, and the staff truly went above and beyond to make our experience comfortable and enjoyable. They were incredibly attentive to our children—at one point, a staff member even held our baby so I could eat peacefully at the restaurant, which meant so much. Jean Carlo was exceptional—so warm, hospitable, and genuinely caring. He truly elevated our stay and made us feel incredibly welcome. David, the manager, was equally wonderful. He made us feel like old friends from the moment we arrived, which added such a personal touch to the entire experience. The chef also went out of his way to prepare a seafood ceviche for me, even though it wasn’t on the menu—and it was absolutely delicious. Everything about the hotel was top-notch, from the spotless, clean facilities to the outstanding service. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and are already looking forward to coming back.
This last trip marked our third year in a row that we have been coming here. This past year, the lobby was being renovated, so things were a little displaced. That said, the service at the beach is great. The waiters roll around on a segway taking and delivering your order. Great drink menu. STK and the sushi bar restaurant are both very good. There are 2 pools- one for families and one more for adults. Sep is not a busy time, so there are plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas to choose from. That said, my husband gets up early and picks lounges on the first row. Friendly staff and wonderful beach. We will be going back again this September
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Outstanding Service from Roel! If you’re lucky enough to spend time by the pool, ask for Roel. He is truly exceptional. From the moment he greeted us, his energy, professionalism, and attention to detail stood out. Roel didn’t just bring drinks—he anticipated what we needed before we even asked. Always checking in at the perfect moments, always with a smile, and always making sure we were completely taken care of. He made the entire poolside experience feel elevated, relaxing, and honestly unforgettable. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests—his service feels personal, warm, and effortless in the best way. Roel is a standout employee and absolutely deserves recognition. Because of him, our day by the pool went from great to amazing. Highly, highly recommend! Also just the kindest person and should be a manger.
We spent 7 nights during March break with our 2 kids. I would give it a full 5 stars and perfect rating if it wasn’t for the sand bug bites we got. We are huge beach lovers and spent the entire holiday on the beach but the bugs kept biting. They do provide bug spray but I don’t want to be baking in the sun with chemicals all over myself and children. The sand had limes and some smaller garbage that should be raked and then sprayed with eco friendly solutions to deter the ants and bugs. Other than the uncomfortable itchy insane bites it was great. Our room was lovely, comfortable, spacious, clean and quiet. Breakfast was nice, loved eating outside minus the annoying birds stealing food. The service was fantastic, great lunches, lovely sea water, delicious food and drinks. Great vibes! Would return if they get the sand bugs under control!
We’re here for over a week to relax and celebrate my 40th birthday, and we are very happy with everything. The club-level lounge is totally worth it, and the service is incredible—everyone is so friendly. We appreciated the upgrade and have really been enjoying ourselves. The club level includes cocktail service, not just a free-pour bar rail. We came here about 9 years ago but stayed at a different place. Last time, we visited the private island with the flamingos 🦩, which was beautiful and definitely worth it. This trip is focused on relaxation, and we don’t really plan on leaving the resort. Thank you to everyone here for making this such a memorable experience. We love the Ritz life. Love, The Shahs
Amazing week at the Ritz Carlton Aruba. The property is beautiful. The service was above and beyond. I am an early riser so I was able to easily get chairs at the beach and pool without using an app. Fun to get complimentary frozen cappuccino, fresh watermelon and ice pops at the pool every day. The rooms are spacious and we had a beautiful view. The water is clear and aquamarine. Fun pool floats available. Jun in the restaurant was great. Michelline at the sushi restaurant was also great.
My husband and I went to the Ritz Carlton Aruba back in 2015. We had a wonderful time and absolutely loved the hotel. We decided to come back with our kids because of our fond memories, but we weren’t sure if it would be the same. We were pleasantly surprised that it was even better than before. Here are the reasons this place is so amazing: 1) THE STAFF AND SERVICE. Everyone in every single department of this hotel went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We stayed in a Club floor and our concierge staff were all amazing. The servers in the restaurant, the staff in the fitness center, the beach staff, the pool staff, the casino staff….everyone had a smile on their face and were happy to help. 2) FITNESS CENTER. The gym is clean with top of the line equipment. Wonderful place to work out with plenty of water and towels. 3) THE SPA. I tipped my masseuse Robyn 25%, more than I’ve ever tipped anyone for a spa treatment. I asked her to focus on my neck and upper back and got way more than I expected in a hotel massage. Thank you, Robyn for going above and beyond. 4) THE BEACH AND POOL. The first four days we spent on the beach and it was just lovely. Lots of people but didn’t feel crowded. The beach staff was friendly and quick (just like 11 years ago). We pressed a button and a staff member quickly rode up on a Segway ready to help. And the last day we splurged on a cabana which was incredible. Fresh fruit, comfy chairs, amazing service…we felt like royalty. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. 5) THE CASINO. All the dealers at the tables made our experience so much fun. Whether we won or lost, it was the Ritz Carlton dealers who made the difference. We went every single night and had a blast. 6) THE CLUB FLOOR. We choose the Ritz Carlton Aruba over any other hotel because the club floor is so great. There is so much food, gorgeous view, great drinks and really nice service. It’s really the reason we won’t stay anywhere else. 7) THE ROOMS. We had an oceanfront room (we were upgraded at check-in from an ocean view). The beds are incredible with fluffy duvets and perfect pillows. The room is a perfect size…not too big and not too small and the view is to die for. Such a wonderful change from the Edition in Miami where we stayed 2 nights prior. I want to go back to the Ritz Carlton Aruba year after year. It’s the first time our kids weren’t excited to come home and neither were we.
Overall, excellent hotel - arguably the best on the island. It has the nicest beach, tremendous customer service akin to a Ritz Carlton experience you pay for. I really loved how they provided sun tan lotions, popcorn, and ice pops on the beach. Areas that keep it from a 5 star. Sundays are intolerable because despite paying thousands of dollars to stay each night you are expected to just put up with the locals who park their boats about 50 yards (45 meters) in front of the hotel and blast their music as loud as they want. They effectively have full boat parties every Sundays and apparently other days of the week during parts of the year. I refuse to believe that a multi-billion dollar enterprise has no ability to deal with the noise pollution (my gf and I went to a different beach that day to avoid it because the boombox sound was outrageously loud). Even with your hotel room door closed the noise reverberates. This is a prime reason I am not eager to go back. Also the hotel was not very intelligently designed. Our room was on the opposite side of the hotel with only one elevator group so it was nearly a 5 min walk to and from the elevator each time.
My family has stayed at multiple RC properties and destination resorts over many years. The RC Aruba by far had the worst management, service, facilities, and overall terrible guest experience for any traveler. I have also been writing traveler reviews for 22+ years because I believe that people should enjoy their vacations without headache or great worry, which requires hearing the truth. We paid over $1,000 per night for the "coastal view" room - what we did not realize is that coastal view is actually a public parking lot view. Key issues: Dishonest management; overpriced food/drink; long wait times for even 1 drink; NOT for those who enjoy golf, or tennis; limited activities overall; and the room cost is not matched by service or any other onsite experience. Buyer beware: there is nothing "luxury" about this property, Issues are detailed below: room upgrade request: Based on Bonvoy status, we requested a room upgrade upon check-in. We were told that there was no upgrade available for the 4 nights we booked, however likely an opening for the remainder nights, and that someone would be in contact with us the next day. That never occurred and no one ever followed-up. Meanwhile, on the Marriott app, it was clear that upgraded rooms were available and for the remainder of our stay. This was the first sign of dishonesty, which is sadly a constant theme at the RC Aruba. Again. no one contacted us either way. check-in experience: Our room was not ready upon arrival, so we waited until 4pm and ate at the pool grill, at the direction of the front desk. This grill is mediocre at best (over fried and greasy) and overpriced. The $100 RC credit that I receive with the RC credit card was basically utilized at that "waiting "meal. We are convinced that many guests are told their rooms are not ready and then directed to eat (spend $) at one of the on site restaurants, as most are tired after a long flight and do so, especially during this time of year (spring break). The grill and lobby restaurant was essentially filled with many from our flight or other guests clearly waiting for rooms. I cannot imagine that all these rooms they were waiting to clean/turnover were granted a 2pm checkout (the latest checkout/ 1pm is the standard "late" checkout but both by request). room: the rooms could use an upgrade and are dated (not worth the price). The phone did not work. The bathroom doors were scratched and dirty. There was leftover candy stuck to the rug from prior guest. In my marriott profile and as I confirmed with the front desk, a room close to the elevator was requested. Instead, we were provided the farthest room out, quite a long walk down several different hallways, due to "coastal" (aka parking lot) view. There were closer "coastal" rooms. The staff simply does not care about customer service or membership loyalty. When our bags were delivered I requested extra hangers and an extra luggage rack. Those never arrived, ever, during our entire stay. We were told prior to arrival that each room has a mini fridge (our son has medication that required refrigeration). In reality, the mini fridge is pre-stocked with beverages that require purchase (and have sensor for movement) and there is no room for anything else. So, we requested a mini-fridge that arrived 30 minutes after we got to the room, only to be broken, so we received another one eventually - but this all took time away from our 1st day. restaurants: Avoid BLT Steak. We had a major issue with the hostess who represented to us that there were "two seatings". We arrived early for our 8:30pm reservation and asked to be seated early if anything opened- she said impossible due to the "two seatings". Well according to the restaurant manager there are no "seatings". The hostess served many "known" guests prior to us and management claims their reservations were earlier - however I did see the screen and that was another moment of dishonesty - and management continues to defend their lies. NOTE: We were seated at our reservation time (8:31 but only after manager discussion). Yet that was not the issue - the issue was the dishonesty. BLT did offer us a complimentary dessert and a side to help with these issues. During our trip, we ate at other restaurants on the Palm Beach boardwalk path and neighboring Marriotts, which were much better overall. false advertising: The RC Aruba advertises and notes as an event "Papiamento Rum Tasting" in the lobby. Well no staff in the lobby area knew about this at all so we never experienced this "event". Instead, my husband and I went to the outdoor balcony to get drinks. We waited 45 minutes and no service. Not the staff's fault as there was only one server for all the outdoor seating at sunset. concierge: friendly but not helpful at all. They refer to Open Table to make reservations and have no weight with local restaurants. Also, AVOID this hotel if you enjoy golf or tennis. Each require a car or taxi ride. The tennis programming at the main Aruba Racquet Club is minimal. Golf at Tierra del Sol is great - so if you enjoy golf just stay there as that resort is better in every way. Concierge did not help with any of these as well - we emailed or called the clubs directly. There are tennis courts (and pickle ball) and a putting green at the neighboring Marriott Ocean Club but RC guests are not allowed to access or use these at all!! beach: There is an app for beach chair reservations which is glitchy and does not always work. You lose out if you do not reserve by 7am the day prior to, or its first come first serve which requires going to the beach at 7am. Also, do not expect speedy or even average wait time for beach drink and food service. it is exceptionally slow. You might be approached twice to order food/drinks during an entire beach day, even after trying to flag someone for help. Dishonest management: On the evening prior to our last full day at the resort I detailed ALL of our issues to Guest Services in an email. The next day I received a call on my personal mobile from Joseph, the front office supervisor. He asked to meet with me, and so I left the beach and met with him on the ground floor of the building around 3:45pm (timestamped on my phone) that afternoon. I stated to him that I purposely waited to email guest services on our last day to truly evaluate the experience to see if anything would change or resolve - and it did not. I reviewed all the issues noted above again with him, and he stated that they would like to offer us a credit and upon discussion he verbally stated that would be $750 USD which was based on the extent of issues. Well upon checkout there was ZERO credit. After I inquired, the front desk manager made a phone call, and then stated that Joseph had sent me an email the night prior in response to the issues raised. How interesting that I never received this email until after we returned home, and clearly Joseph had my personal mobile phone number because he had called me as we met in person the day prior. In addition, when I received his email, he only addressed the issue at BLT and the room upgrade request. He did not address ANY of the other issues that we experienced or our in-person meeting which was evidenced by others. He never addressed in the email the lack of any follow-up or response by the front desk regarding our upgrade request regardless of whether it was possible or not; nor the lack of receiving requested items; nor the other service issues. I am happy to add a photo of the email exchange should the RC Aruba continue its dishonesty - which is a real pattern that is observed by their responses to the other negative reviews listed. Interestingly. some of the best reviews relate to the bartender near the pool - who was friendly. But note that one drink in a fun pineapple is $55 USD plus tip. SUMMARY: AVOID RC Aruba at all costs because you will never receive close to the full value of the cost! There is little to nothing to do there with overpriced and mediocre food/drinks. Service is very slow. No entertainment or activities. I did not go to the spa other than to buy overpriced Aloe gel so I cannot comment on spa services. RECOMMENDATION: STAY at Joia Aruba by Iberostar (which has the exceptional Tierra del Sol golf); or the St. Regis; or Bucuti & Tara Beach. If you prefer Marriott properties stay at the Marriott Ocean Club Aruba - as they have updated rooms, tennis, putting green, pool, spa, other amenties, and great onsite restaurants with their private beach directly adjacent to the RC! I wish we had this information prior to booking RC Aruba, to salvage the very little time that our family gets to vacation together.
We had an amazing stay and one of the highlights was our drink server, Kilyan at the beach. He was so personable and fast the entire time. He went above and beyond to make sure we always had what we needed. LOVE him! Truly outstanding service!
Watch your bill and card charges at the lobby bar . Charged us for dbles and when confronted the “ refund “ on the card was a charge instead .
Everything, especially the club facility. The beach and the restaurants were wonderful and the accommodations were spectacular
We loved everything, there was nothing not to like
Aruba is the kind of place people dream about. Crystal blue water, breathtaking sunsets, and picture-perfect beaches surround you everywhere you turn. But what truly transforms a beautiful place into an unforgettable experience is the people. As travelers with strict dietary restrictions, we know that even the most beautiful destination can become stressful if those needs are not clearly understood. Arriving at The Ritz Carlton Aruba for our first visit, we carried both excitement and a quiet uncertainty. What we experienced instead was something remarkable. Our very first evening set the tone for everything that followed. Dinner at BLT Steak on the property was where we first met Executive Sous Chef Nando, along with the wonderful team members Janine, Josie, and Gwen. Within minutes of sitting down, it became clear that this was not going to be a typical dining experience. Chef Nando took the time to understand my dietary restrictions in detail, asking thoughtful questions and reassuring me that he would personally make sure I could enjoy every meal during our stay. In that moment, the anxiety that often accompanies traveling with strict dietary needs simply melted away. We also had the opportunity to briefly meet Executive Chef Awanish during our stay, and it was clear that the level of care and coordination we experienced across the resort reflected the leadership happening behind the scenes. From that very first night, it was evident that the entire culinary team was aligned in making sure my needs were not just accommodated but genuinely cared for. What followed over the next several days was something truly special. Chef Nando did not simply take care of us that first evening. He made it his personal mission to ensure that no matter which restaurant we visited throughout the resort, my dietary needs were clearly understood and thoughtfully accommodated. He communicated with his culinary teams across the property so that every dining experience felt effortless and welcoming rather than stressful. What became clear throughout our stay was that this level of attentiveness was not just one person going above and beyond, but a culture of service shared across the entire Ritz Carlton team. What impressed us most was that Chef Nando personally checked in throughout our stay, making sure everything was being handled exactly as promised. And then came one of the most memorable surprises of our trip. Knowing that desserts are rarely an option for me, Chef Nando created a beautiful chocolate cake that I could safely enjoy. Each evening we found ourselves sitting on the veranda, overlooking the glow of the ocean while live music drifted through the warm island air, sipping wine and sharing that incredible cake together. For someone who rarely gets to enjoy dessert, it was not just delicious, it was deeply thoughtful and something I will remember long after the trip itself. The care did not stop at dinner. Each morning, Chef Lucien made sure that breakfast was something I could enjoy without hesitation, once again removing the stress that dietary restrictions can sometimes bring to travel. When we planned an early morning deep sea fishing excursion, Lyn went out of her way to help arrange breakfast and snacks to take with us so that I could head out for the adventure without worrying about finding something safe to eat. Down at the beach bar each afternoon, Harold, Cezar, and Yousef welcomed us with warm smiles and the kind of hospitality that makes you feel less like a guest and more like an old friend returning. They took such great care with our lunches, making sure everything was prepared perfectly while greeting us each day like family. Out on the beach, the care continued in the most effortless way. Essmainlin “Smiley” and another wonderful Harold took incredible care of us each day, always appearing at just the right moment with a fresh towel, a drink, or simply a warm smile to check in and see if we needed anything. Their attentiveness never felt intrusive, only thoughtful and genuine. It created that rare feeling where you can completely relax because you know everything is being taken care of. And when the day came to an end, we would return to a room that felt refreshed and perfectly prepared for the evening. The housekeeping team did a beautiful job each day, and their evening turndown service truly felt like a warm hug after a day in the sun. The Ritz Carlton Aruba is undeniably beautiful. Turquoise water, stunning sunsets, and an immaculate property create the kind of setting most travelers dream about. But what truly makes this place extraordinary is the people. From the culinary team to the beach staff and the many team members working behind the scenes, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. Chef Nando’s leadership and genuine care for his guests represent hospitality at its very best. In the end, Aruba gave us the beauty, but the people at The Ritz Carlton Aruba gave us the memories.
Our first stay at The Ritz and it exceeded all expectations. Welcomed promptly with champagne and water, check in was quick and our rooms were beautiful. Big shout out to Chef Lucien and his team, our private beach dinner (Husbands Birthday) was beyond fabulous! Antonio at the pool was warm and welcoming to our family. BLT Steak House was delicious, best steaks we’ve had and a big Thank you to Ken made our dining experience delightful. Jose best frozen drinks on the beach! Till we see you again
There’s only one problem with this hotel, it is not handicap, friendly. There are no ramps down to the bar and out to the backarea to watch the sunset. We were there with someone in a wheelchair and it was not easy to get the person to the back area to see the sunset. We love going to this bar area, it’s a shame it’s not handycap accessible.
I have been a Ritz Carlton traveler for 30 years . I’ve had wonderful experiences at most but I must say since Marriott took over the brand it’s just a glorified Marriott without the prestige attention to customer service . I still carry and use a Ritz Carlton credit card . No one today realizes the prestige that card once held . I spent the majority of my time putting out customer service problems stemming from pure lack of training and ridiculous rules such as “dynamic pricing” in regard to spa services when you are given a starting price I found out even with no add one they can name their spa prices at whim . Depends on capacity , the time of day , ridiculous so do not trust the pricing . The app for getting chairs at the pool is ridiculous you can’t possibly know what you’re booking in advance and when you figure it out you need to jump through hoops to get your chairs booked properly . They threaten to fire people if you ask a day in advance a real person not the app. It’s maddening . No one knew what the right hand was doing . And I’m a platinum elite member the upgrade I was entitled to was laughable and they said the Latin Ritz Carlton’s run different, they sure do . For the prices such as virgin cocktails at 17.00 a pop and just no sense of the old Ritz ladies and gentleman , I will go to the Hyatt next trip . This one is all glamor and glitz but absolutely no substance to show it was indeed a poor substitute for the real thing .
My wife and I just returned from four incredible nights at The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba, and once again we left feeling the same thing we always do: complete gratitude and a strong pull to come back as soon as possible. We have traveled the world and stayed at some truly spectacular properties. Yet we continue to choose The Ritz-Carlton Aruba as our favorite place because it genuinely feels like home. When the staff says “welcome home,” it is not a scripted greeting. It is a feeling that is reinforced through every conversation, every thoughtful gesture, and every moment of care throughout the stay. This was our fourth visit in the past two and a half years. We already have another trip booked later this year, this time bringing our two sons. That alone speaks volumes. The people are what make this property extraordinary. David Coster treats us like family from the moment we arrive. His warmth and leadership are felt throughout the entire resort. Each morning at Solanio starts with Kate’s smile. She greets us like old friends and even shares pictures of her niece, which makes breakfast feel personal and joyful. Jun, Edward, and Janet at Solanio are top notch, attentive, kind, and consistently excellent. Angela at Casa Nonna is remarkable. She will work with the chef to create special dishes that are not even on the menu just to make your evening perfect. Jean Paul ensures everything runs seamlessly there, and Jeanine at BLT runs an exceptional restaurant with professionalism and grace. Youssef, whether at Madero or greeting guests near the bus stop, is always welcoming and engaging. Sor in housekeeping surprised us with extra chocolates to bring home to our boys. It was such a thoughtful touch and meant more than she probably knows. And Susana, who oversees the property, ensures that excellence is delivered at every turn. The beach is breathtaking. Wide, pristine, and swimmable with calm, crystal clear water. The weather is as predictable and perfect as anywhere in the Caribbean. Sunshine, steady trade winds, and that unmistakable Aruba glow. The rooms are beautiful and meticulously maintained. The dining across the property is outstanding. But what truly sets this place apart is the heart behind the hospitality. When you combine one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, consistently gorgeous weather, and a team that makes you feel like you belong, why look anywhere else? For us, it is total perfection. We leave rested, grateful, and already counting down the days until we return. This is not just a resort to us. It is home.
The service is typical Ritz with all staff going above and beyond to try and help in any way possible That being said the hotel is truly dated but clean. My issue is the food. Not decent not ok Bad! Lunch was returned due to overcooked and clearly frozen Mahi with a mayo heavy Caesar dressing. Worst in a long time Switched for a house salad with shrimp. Dressing goopy sweet and salty over the top Shrimp NOT cleaned Dinner we tried the sushi and shrimp tempura truly inauthentic and not enjoyable On a positive note the breakfast buffet was very good but we will be going off property for the rest of the meals
We had a magical time during our second visit to the RC Aruba (we also stayed there in February 2023). The property really does a fantastic job of making all guests, including families, feel welcome. My wife and I were greeted with a welcome drink as soon as we entered the lobby. Our kids were greeted with welcome gifts--including a backpack and activity books. We also love that this property has 2 swimming pools--one for adults only and one for families. This is great, because it ensures that nobody will ever complain about the activities of kid playing in the "family" swimming pool. The water was the perfect temperature and they provide constant poolside service from about 11am-6pm. In addition to what you can order, the hotel does a great job of making you feel like luxury by offering free giveaways. Usually there was a free foodcart in the lobby in the afternoon--one day they were given away crudite and another day was mini belgian pancakes. Then, at the pool, they gave away popcorn and snowcones around 1pm and then ice pops for the kids around 3pm. Bottled water is also free and plentiful. The beach is spectacular--a large private space just for hotel guests. The water was the perfect temperature for swimming and the hotel offers free swim activities (kayaks, canoes, paddleboards) available for guests. We took advantage of the kayaks on two occasions. The rooms were well kept and there was daily housekeeping service as well as evening turndown service. We dined at Soliano several times for breakfast--which has both a luxurious buffet as well as a great a la carte option. We also had dinner at Casa Nonna and BLT Steak. Both were great meals that had a number of kid-friendly as well as vegetarian-friendly options. A few times my wife and I ended the night with a drink in the lobby bar--which was lively and included live music. I'd like to highlight the stellar work of both Jose and Angelique. Jose runs the mixology bus in the courtyard--he is a beverage wizard! He made us some of the most amazing cocktails and mocktails that I had ever seen or tasted. Also, two of our kids did an activity in the kids club and Angelique made sure that they had a fantastic time. This was a great respite to them at the right time, because the heat was getting to them at that point. So they enjoyed 3 hours of air conditioning and indoor activities. We had a wonderful time during our 2nd visit and most definitely anticipate returning for a 3rd stay in a year or two!
Must go to Jose at the VW bus bar out by the pool. His drinks are amazing, he uses high quality fruit and ingredients. If you have questions he’s excellent and will make sure you are happy. Also, the drinks and bar setup are aesthetically pleasing. His warmth and kindness can’t be beat!
Be alert! This is far from a Ritz Carlton- by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed
The great service
Well played out and great amenities
A breathtaking hotel with outstanding amenities and service. Special recognition to Jose, the bartender who is situated on the rear lawn inside a converted VW Bus. Without question, his Pina Coolada was the best I've ever had, and I like neither pineapple nor coconut. It was fresh and professionally made. Jose exemplifies what it means to stay at the Ritz Carlton with his professionalism, class, grace and extreme attention to detail. Highly recommend
Virtually perfection! We stayed four nights as Marriott Titanium Elite and were automatically upgraded to a 1 bedroom executive suite with a massive oceanfront balcony - it had two padded sun loungers, a table and two entry points to the room. Breathtaking views! And it was decorated on arrival with amenities to celebrate our anniversary. Everyone at the resort was beyond friendly and attentive to the guests. The interior, amenities and grounds were beautiful and well-maintained. We sat at the adults only pool each day and wandered down to the beach occasionally. Service at the pools was fast and friendly; pool attendants and servers remembered guests’ names throughout their stay, greeted them and frequently checked on them. Reserving pool or beach chairs can be done one day in advance on the resort’s app but if you aren’t clicking to reserve at exactly the moment chairs are released each day, they get taken. In that case, you may need to get up early to be assured of securing a first come first serve set of chairs. This was no problem for me as I get up early but it’s something to be keenly aware of if having chairs at a certain pool or the beach is important to you. As for the restaurants, the resort has three places that serve dinner. BLT was by far the best - delicious popovers and equivalent steak quality to locations in the U.S. Way beyond our expectations for a Caribbean location! If we’d stayed for a week, we’d have liked another restaurant option or two on site but we heard that guests do like to venture out to local restaurants and other hotel restaurants. I am a distance runner and used the fitness center nearly every day - it was kept at a cool temp appropriate for working out (not typical in the Caribbean in my experience) and all equipment was new and working. The fitness center was also stocked with fruit, water, snacks and wet and dry towels. I also visited the salon twice and was immediately taken back for my service, which was also fast. We used a car service arranged by the Ritz to pick us up drop us off at the hotel/airport - they were easy to find when we landed and fast and efficient. We’ve visited many other Caribbean islands and stayed at other superb properties as well but, even with all those comparisons, Aruba’s weather and the Ritz-Carlton Aruba’s service is incredibly tough to beat. We will return!
Jose was amazing at the drink bus he made us delicious drinks and was so helpful with choosing what ones to get. Def recommend getting your drink in a pineapple or coconut!
Jose made us the best drink at the Prosecco Bus it’s called paper plane- Amazing!!!! He was awesome we will definitely go back !!!
We had an amazing week in Aruba as always. This is our third time staying on this property and it has not disappointed. From check in to check out the people are warm and friendly, the property is impeccable and every need is anticipated before you know you have it. What has been a staple on our last two vacations is a daily drink (or two!) from the Bus Stop. Jose is a masterful mixologist and could whip up a fabulous drink with just asking us what ingredients we were in the mood for that day. I had something different each day! He greeted us with a smile and remembered us day to day. Do not miss a stop at this place! We hope to be back next year to continue the memories!
This is a nice hotel, with great service on the quieter end of Palm Beach. I am writing this review, specifically, about the little VW bus on the beach at the Ritz Carlton. This is the BEST place on the island to get a piña colada or Mojito, in my opinion. There’s a lovely gentlemen by the name of Jose, who always greets you with a beautiful smile and whips up the best cocktail you’ve ever had in your life. It’s a little bit on the pricey side, but you really get a nice volume that equals about two drinks, which makes it an excellent bang for the buck THIS IS A “DO NOT MISS” STOP. Send Jose my best ; )
