La Croix Blanche

Lovely little hotel, on the main strip but not noisy as we had a room to the side. Lovely to hear the church bells ring in the morning! Staff were super friendly, would definitely stay again :)

First the positives. The hotel location in the center of Chamonix is fantastic. All of the staff I interacted with were helpful, pleasant and charming. Top-notch! Rooms were also affordable. Unfortunately, the hotel has somewhat of a feeling of being a flophouse. It is old and rundown and not well maintained. My room had carpet and curtains that look to be from 1974. The furniture was very basic but extremely beat up. Coffee stains abound on the nightstand and TV table. The floor was quite saggy and creaks as you walk across it which means you can also hear every footstep in the room above you. The bathroom and my room as a whole have had few updates since perhaps the World War II era. Even the old built-in cast-iron tub is still there. While, it might be viewed as somewhat quaint, the black mold growing around it and the haphazard white paint that was slapped everywhere in the bathroom in an attempt to brighten up the room, made it feel icky. Also, there were gobs of human hair at the base of the bidet. Paint was peeling from the bathroom wall along with tiles missing around the baseboard. There was a large storage cabinet in the room which had a door that would not stay shut. I had to prop up a garbage can in front of the door to keep it from always swinging open. There was nothing about my room that allowed me to recharge after spending a day in beautiful Chamonix. It was a depressing room to come home to. The price was right, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

We didn't like anything

Everything didn't look like the pictures on the website, it was dirty and not taken care of at all. the bathroom was in a disgusting condition, walls and doors were broken and cracked, overall we aren't happy or pleased with our stay in the slightest.

Ok room but tv didn't work. Staff were friendly,however and the price was reasonable

Great location, nice and responsive staff, clean room. Needs a facelift, there was grey tape in every spot needing repair with P#. Otherwise, highly recommend.

La instalación de el hotel está deteriorada y se escucha el piso de arriba, absolutamente todo desde los pasos, hasta cuando hacen el amor, el ascensor es de muy poca capacidad, extremadamente pequeño, al igual que los baños.

Our stay was enjoyable, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect! It’s just fair to remember it’s an older hotel so it comes with quirks because of that.

Не поганий готель в самому центрі Шамоні. Від нього в 10 хв пішої доступності підйомник на саму гору. Все доступно, вид з номера був чарівним, прямо на гору. Персонал привітний, все розказали. Нам пощастило, що нам знайшлось по факту паркувальні місце, бо з цим дуже складно в містечку.

Коли вибирала готель, дивилась не тільки на цінову політику, а ще і на інтерʼєр. На фотографіях виглядає краще , ніж в дійсності. Підлога дуже сильно скрипіла, як у старовинних палацах, і помітно, що інтер’єр потребує оновлення. Ванна та туалет теж виглядають застарілими. Вода гаряча була, але ледь текла. Ми зупинялись на одну ніч, тому це все не сильно прям вплинуло на загальну атмосферу цього чарівного містечка. Але якщо зупинятись більше ніж на 3-4 дні, гадаю за трішки більше ціну, можна знайти кращий варіант.

Chambres très spacieuses, quoique vieilles. Lit de très bonne qualité et buffet de petit-déjeuner très varié et copieux. Le personnel est plutôt gentil et serviable, mais la personne à la réception n'a pa été compétente quand il s'est agi de résoudre le problème de douche!

Nous avions une baignoire dans la salle de bain. L'eau ne s'écoulait pas malgré nos tentatives. Je suis allée prévenir la réception, qui n'est pas venue comme promis. Il a fallu que nous redescendions presque une heure plus tard pour les faire réagir. Ils étaient au courant mais ne nous ont pas prévenus, ni ne nous ont proposé une autre chambre ou une réduction. L'eau ne s'écoule pas, point. Aucun dynamisme ni prise d'initiative pour gérer le problème. C'est mon compagnon, à force d'essais avec la ventouse prêtée qui est parvenu à faire s'écouler l'eau. Lamentable gestion de la siutation de leur côté. Très dommage car tout le reste était très bien.

The staff was wonderful, breakfast was entiful, location was great, BUT the room was a disappointment. ,The matress was very old, the carpet was dirty with any stains, the walls had lots of marks on them.

La moquette au sol vieillotte qui se décolle, le scotch dans la salle de bains et toilettes sur les murs sur les fissures et carrelage fendu, l’absence de pression dans la baignoire à tel point qu’il n’était pas possible de prendre un shampooing. La qualité de la literie.

Das Frühstück war gut gute Auswahl an Käse, Wurst, Rührei, gebratener Schinken, Brot, Croissants. Freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Kaffee, Tee, Wasser ist kostenlos rund um die Uhr verfügbar.

Das Badezimmer ist sehr veraltet. Eine Sanierung wäre hier dringend notwendig.

The day receptionist was nice and helpful.

The hotel is located in walking zone but has a parking that has special access to get in. The GPS was not helpful. The night receptionist couldn’t explain how to get to the hotel parking , perhaps due to limited English or unwillingness to try. My family spent more then an hour driving around at night trying to get in, and I had to walk to the hotel for direction help that I didn’t get. Finally when we got to the right place the parking machine wasn’t working, and we couldn’t enter the parking so we had to look for a different parking away from center and walk to the hotel with all the luggage, a dog and two kids at 11 pm. The receptionist said that sometimes the parking machine doesn’t work and there is nothing she could do…

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, allowing me to store my luggage both before check-in and while I was away on the TMB. The breakfast was excellent, and my room was comfortable and quiet.

Localização excelente, quarto amplo e hotel possui guarda bagagens que permitiu visitarmos alguns atrativos de Chamonix se ter que levar peso extra, mesmo depois de fazermos o Check out. Destaque para o recepcionista muito bacana e que falava um excelente portugês. Nos ajudou muito com escelentes informações.

Beds were good. Rooms good. Staff good. Every thing good but no AC and weird bathroom configuration. Would stay here again. We were allowed to leave bags for the day and check in early.

I didn't expect the room it's in the attic the windows are so small and so high 😔 you can't see the outside it was disappointing.

Zoals de meeste in de beoordelingen schreven, de kamer was erg gedateerd. Voor ons was dit niet storend we waren kort verbleven.

Le personnel est plus qu’incroyable ! Gentil, poli et et prévenant… quel plaisir d’arriver dans un hôtel avec un si belle accueil ! La décoration et le mobilier font très ancien. Si vous aimez les hôtels luxueux, ce n’est pas ici qu’il faut venir. Personnellement, nous aimons cet aspect vieilli qui change de notre quotidien et apporte un certain charme à ce genre d’hôtel. Les chambres sont aussi très spacieuse😁 et la proximité avec le centre ville est top!

Certaines choses devraient être réparées ou améliorées, comme le lit cassé dans notre première chambre ou la baignoire très jaunie.

Ubicación en pleno centro. Pedí que me cambiaran de habitación, porque daba en la calle principal y tenía miedo de no poder dormir por el ruido. Me la cambiaron por una interior, sin problemas

First of all do they advertise parking, they have a couple of parking spaces that fill up quickly. We had to park in a parking house some streets away. The rooms are so old and out of shape. Did not feel clean. This is a party street so very loud all night long.

Très bon séjour et très bon accueil dans un hôtel très bien situé. Personnel à notre écoute et très serviable. Avec vue imprenable sur le mont blanc.

Great location, close shops and restaurants. Staff was friendly. Nice bonus to have free coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Cosy lounge and board games were a nice surprise.

L'emplacement de l'hôtel est très appréciable, au centre de Chamonix. Nous aimons être dans cet établissement quand nous venons passer un séjour à Chamonix (4ème séjour). Les petits déjeuners sont copieux et de qualité. Nous n'oublions jamais un mot de remerciement pour l'ensemble du personnel. Et nous apprécions également le fait de pouvoir emmener notre animal de compagnie.

Peut-être la salle de bain, mais j'ai crû comprendre qu'une rénovation de l'hôtel était prévu.

LE petit déjeuner et l'emplacement de l'hôtel

L'accueil ne répondait pas au téléphone lors de notre arrivée. Nous n'avons donc pas pu accéder au parking et avons bloqué la circulation pendant plusieurs minutes. La chambre n'a pas les critères d'un hôtel *** et avait une mauvaise odeur. Nous avons eu un très fort bruit de soufflerie jusqu'à plus de minuit le 1er soir, nous empêchant de dormir le fenêtre ouverte.

Property is very old. Hard to use regular amenities. I was afraid I would fall off the tube after taking shower.

Posizione ottimale in pieno centro. Personale gentilissimo e molto accogliente. Bella l'idea di offrire acqua e bevande calde agli ospiti.

La struttura è un po' agée e la camera, benché sapziosa,andrebbe ristrutturata un po' (pavimento, rivestimento bagno e sanitari).

Schone kamer, alles wat nodig is om een nachtje te slapen. Gratis koffie op de gang.

10 minuten nodig bij inchecken om creditcard te registreren. Terwijl creditcard nergens voor nodig is, kamer is al betaald, creditcard is al doorgegeven bij boeking. En dan om 07:05 word ik door de receptie gebeld op mijn IPhone : “Are you in the reception area?” NEE verdomme, ik lig in bed en jullie bellen me wakker! Onvergeeflijke blunder!
