Hôtel Vallée Blanche

We had booked this hotel using Booking.com. After arrival on 2/14/26 we found that we did not have a room, hotel was overbooked. We were told that Booking.com cancelled our reservation. Staff was not telling the truth, we got cancellation e mail 10 min later. We had problems finding another hotel since this was a very busy week and we had to stay in 2 separate hotels. It cost us 2x more. I would not recommend them. Not trustworthy.

Hotel d'avant guerre....la literie est nulle et très dure le lit doit faire à peine 140....il faut être seul. Chambre exiguë avec un double vitrage d'une autre époque., télé avec 5 chaines qui marche quand elle veut, une bouilloire toute seule sans thé ou café. La salle de bain à été refaite, mais à l'arrache, robinet du lavabo cassé et qui fuit en position chaud, une baignoire ou quand vous prenez une douche tout est inondé.... avec de vieilles fenêtres en bois sans double vitrage et qui ferme à moitié, le plafond est complètement trempé d'eau de la SDB du dessus..... Les planchers sont en bois, donc quand le voisin rentre dans sa chambre vous êtes avec lui, quand il va au WC vous l'accompagné sans le vouloir et quand la petite famille du dessus rentre de soirée alors la c'est une horreur....et pour finir "quand même" les personnes qui sortent de boites ou du Casino même chose au niveau bruit....Cet hotel a fait son temps....dommage a 232€ la chambre..... The boot room for ski/board equipment was very basic. Didn't have lockers & we didn't feel comfortable leaving expensive snowboards & boots there.

La localisation est le point fort de l'hotel. Le logement avait l'ambiance d'un chalet. Il y a une fenêtre en toiture qui permet de voir le ciel de la mezzanine.

Je pensais qu'il y aurait une séparation physique des lits (plusieurs salles). En fait c'est fait plus pour une famille. La salle de bien est peut-être un peu trop petite.

Thought breakfast was included but was presented with a bill at the end of my stay. This wasn’t clear

On the day of arrival we were told room would be ready in one hour. After return back we were told that reservation was cancelled by Booking.com. There were no hotels available in the Chamonix for that week. Hotel overbooked us and then staff was not helpful and was not telling us the truth. Booking.com did not have any accommodation in 25 mile radius so we had to walk around and find two separate hotels for our stay for much higher price.

Location was excellent and there was elements of the furnishings which were clearly new and pleasant.

It was opposite a site which was being reconstructed and we weren’t aware of that. Also the communal areas were not refurbished and quite worn. It was also noisy when people were moving around. I think for the price we paid it was quite overpriced.

Hotel location ideal, in centre of town with all facilities/bars/restaurants within couple of minutes walk. Ski-lifts within 10 minute walk if you go via the patisserie for coffee and croissant. Staff very friendly and welcoming, room we had was more than sufficient as out all day so no need for full on suite, did not use the breakfast facilities as grabbed a cheaper alternative when out and about. They do have a sweetie jar in reception which we used every day. Arrived early so they're more than happy to keep luggage whilst we toured area and midday checkout helped.

Some noise from people outside late at night but nothing to complain about, people enjoying themselves.

Always great to arrive at this gem in the center of Chamonix. Even now when the hotel has changed ownership it is great. The new staff very accommodating and helpful 😀I have been coming to this hotel since the eighties and will continue to do so❤️

I didn't really like anything, except the hotel's location.

The rooms are very small and filthy; there was hair and cobwebs in the corners and dust. The soundproofing is poor, and there's a bar downstairs, so I couldn't sleep at night. The bed was uncomfortable, and the pillows were of poor quality. There's no parking available, and they didn't tell me this until after I had booked and paid. The money is non-refundable.

Le personnel très accueillant et de bon conseil. Chambres très aérée et lumineuse. Localisation parfaite. Nous avons rencontré un problème de chauffage, le personnel a résolu le problème dans la journée.

L'emplacement de l'hôtel est au top, à 1 pas du centre. La chambre est fonctionnelle, avec des matériaux simples mais toutefois beaucoup de bois et surtout elle est propre, et très calme . La literie est très bonne. Enfin le personnel est très sympathique, compétent. Ce qui réunit tous les critères d'un bon hôtel.

Zu Mittag zum Hôtel Vallée Blanche gekommen um mein Gepäck zu deponieren aber: Mein Zimmer war schon bereit! Ich wurde sehr freundlich empfangen und fühlte mich sofort willkommen. Das Hotel hat Flair und die Lage ist optimal. Das Zentrum mit der Fußgängerzone ist gleich um die Ecke, ein kurzer Fußweg geht fast direkt zum Bahnhof und zur Seilbahn Aiguille du Midi ist es auch nicht weit. Das nicht in meiner Buchung enthaltene Frühstücksbuffet wurde mir beim Check-in angeboten, ein Angebot das man nicht ausschlagen sollte.

Ich habe nichts auszusetzen.

Cela fait plusieurs années que nous venons dans cet établissement et nous avons jamais été aussi déçu. La chasse d’eau a coulé toute la nuit, la télévision n’était pas branché (très compliqué de le voir car la télé est vraiment collé au mur) et le mini bar était vide! Et la chambre vraiment petite par rapport aux fois précédentes.

me concernant uniquement l emplacement la chambre mais malheureusement les fenêtres étaits vraiment vieilles donc froids toute la nuit mauvaise insonorisation et isolation donc pas pu déjeuner à l hôtel enfin pour conclure une honte de louer une chambre surtout dans cet étatpour

pour moi une bonne rénovation car un hôtel triste et qui m as gâché mon séjour

The Hotel was too cold.. the window in the room didn't insulate well and the breakfast area wasn't heated properly. We were there in Jan, and the temperature inside the hotel was too low, probably around 18 degrees

Il faisait un peu froid au départ dans la chambre, la baignoire était bouchée et les produits proposés au petit déjeuner n’est pas très qualitatifs mais pour 12 euros c’est assez normal.

Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel ended in a very distressing way. On our last evening, while we were at dinner, money, bank cards, and small personal items were stolen from our room. The room was secured with an electronic key card, and there were no signs of forced entry. The theft happened precisely while we were away. The following day, the hotel administration told us they had no information and that we should go to the police. We received no assistance and no real attempt to investigate the situation. Also the hotel does not have surveillance cameras in the hallways, which makes any investigation virtually impossible. To make matters worse, the police office only opened after 3 p.m. that day, while we had to leave earlier. The hotel staff offered no support or alternative solutions.

Cold floor and no slippers, the tap by the sink is very inconvenient. The hair dryer also did not work.

Close to the main town and the cable cars. Nice breakfast.

First night we didn't have warm water, but was told we need to let the water run for 5 min before it would heat up. There is a tear in one of the curtains in the room and some of the curtains did not easily slide ti open/close.

The location was really perfect in the center of everything, The room was spacious, modern, and had all the facilities we needed. Everything felt new and comfortable. The view from the balcony over the mountains was absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend this hotel!

Un prix exorbitant pour un hôtel qui aurait grand besoin d'être rajeuni. Oui on est à Chamonix et c'est le prix pour des fenêtres aux joints de vitres rebouchées avec du sopalin, une armoire à la porte défoncée, une TV de clinique.

Il n'y avait pas de Pub ( alors que c'était noté dans le descriptif) Trop chaud dans la chambre, impossible d'éteindre le radiateur
