The view from the hotel is amazing!

Receptionists are super slow and lazy to take guests. The isolation of the room is VERY POOR! We can hear everything that were going on with the rooms next to and above ours. We had POOR SLEEP EVERY NIGHT. Can’t have peace/quietness in our own room. We heard every walking step of the room above us. Horrible isolation

We loved the location. The view was great. Plenty of places to park.

Our stay was great. We couldn't get a table outside at dinner which was a shame as the view was exceptional.

The views were incredible.

There were a couple of little things, the roof top pool was a little tired and a couple of areas inside the pool needed a deep clean. Also at breakfast there could have been more staff.

La ubicacion es inmejorable. Estando en verano alli arriba hay una Brisa. Las vistas son spectaculares. El personnal atentos, sobre todo los camereros. La comida rica. Las camas comodas y la habitation grande. La entrada es bonita y el salon bien decorado.

El desayuno es muy caro para lo que se ofrece. De las cosas cocinadas solo hay huevos, nada de salchichas, pancakes, etc. El mobiliario de las habitaciones es muy antiguo y necesita ser renovada.

Amazing views, pleasant temperature compared to sea level Malaga. Breezy and fresh. Nice spacious rooms. Walking distance to old town or through woods to the sea front.

Worth noting that the walk is steep and tricky if you’re not pretty fit. The coffee is relentlessly awful!!

Die Lage des Hotels mit seiner Aussicht auf Màlaga ist einfach wunderschön. Wir hatten unser Zimmer im obersten Stockwerk und hatten einen genialen Ausblick von unserem Balkon aus. Die kleine Poolanlage ist für ein Sonnenbad nach einem Sightseeing-Tag sehr schön und gemütlich. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker.

Das Zimmer war i.O. aber nicht 5 Sterne wert. Das Badezimmer war groß, aber leider gab es eine Badewanne, in welcher man duschen musste. Für ein 5 Sterne Hotel hätte ich mir eine moderne, neue Dusche vorgestellt. Die Snackkarte im Restaurant lässt zu wünschen übrig. Das Sandwich mit Chips, das wir am Nachmittag bestellt haben, war erstens überhaupt nicht lecker und zweitens den Preis nicht wert.

Our second stay here. It is not the most modern, cool, trendy place to stay but it has everything you need for a peaceful, relaxing break away from downtown Malaga. Fantastic! Up the hill out of central Malaga its’ location allows the most wonderful views over the city-both old and new-and the coast. It’s hard to beat. It’s easy to walk down the hill from the neighbouring ‘castle’ (which can be visited) right into the old quarter to the bustling area of restaurants and shops. The restaurant food is good-but go down into Malaga to get local delights. Our comfortable, large room had a balcony, again overlooking Malaga. The staff are very friendly and attentive. A small pool area allows you to relax after walking back up the hill to the hotel. Free parking a bonus. This hotel has become one of our ‘must go to places’ on our drive to Portugal.

pięknie położony hotel z widokiem na całą Malagę. Obsługa bardzo pomocna i miła. Pokoje super wychłodzone. Codziennie sprzątane, pościelone, wymienione ręczniki, woda do picia. Łóżka wygodne. Śniadania ok - każdy dzień to samo do jedzenia - pieczywo , wędliny, ser i słodkości. Z osobnego menu do wyboru omlet, jajko, bekon. Mieliśmy okazję zjeść 2 razy kolację w Restauracji - polecam przepyszne krewetki. Jadłam kaczkę była ok. Za chleb do kolacji z tego co pamiętam była dodatkowa opłata. Ogólnie wrażenia bardzo pozytywne. Moim zdaniem super hotel. Na zdjęciu widać basen z widokiem na Malagę, i faktycznie tak jest, natomiast basen w rzeczywistości jest mniejszy. Znajduje się na ostatnim piętrze. Hotel raczej dla dorosłych.

Fabulous location next to the Gibrafaro Castle with views across the harbour. Our superior room was clean and comfortable- lovely firm mattress. The staff were friendly and helpful. Swimming pool was clean - situated on the roof of the building with wonderful views.

The breakfast was a little disappointing. Over packaged in every way and much of the bread and pastries stale. Fruit was weirdly rationed into tiny bowls. Not good value for money.

The views from the hotel was amazing , The staff were also very nice and would help you with anything you needed.

Beautiful hotel with fabulous views. The staff are among the best I have come across in a hotel. The reception staff do so much to help you enjoy your stay and the restaurant and bar staff are so friendly and cheerful. The blonde lady on reception and the gentleman went out of their way to help us and Estefania was so lovely and cheerful. The cleaning ladies are also lovely and the room was always spotless. We will definitely come back. The food is fantastic, at breakfast there is a great selection to order and also a buffet, the cakes are delicious. We had lunch at the bar which was very good and dinner one evening in the restaurant which was excellent. Easy to get in Malaga by taxi or bus and Malaga itself is stunning, so much to do and see.

Hard to find anything to dislike but it’s fair to say the walk up and down is not easy, however it’s all part of the charm of the hotel and it wouldn’t put us off staying there again. Just factor bus/taxi prices in the cost of your stay. Reception will help you get taxis that are reasonable and once in the town the taxis at the taxi rank are a good price. The pool area is a little small and dated but it wouldn’t put us off staying again. There’s no pool bar but you can order drinks from the pool area to be brought up.

Staff not freindly, Restaurant Food was not good, Breakfast was not good, pool water was not clean. location is very far , everytime we had to take taxi or bus to go down or up. to me it's more like 3 star hotel.

Die Lage des Parador ist fantastisch und man hat einen herrlichen Ausblick vom Zimmer über Malaga und dem Hafen. Zur Stadt ( nach unten ) und somit auch zum Hafen kann man gut zu Fuß durch den Park gehen oder den Bus der Linie 35 nehmen, die in der Nähe des Parador beginnt. Das Personal war, bis auf eine Ausnahme, sehr freundlich.

Das Frühstücksbuffet war leider nicht dem Preis entsprechend. Die Produkte waren teilweise von keiner guten Qualität. Der angebotene Lachs war aus einer salzigen Öllake und nicht frisch. Der Schinken wurde sehr unappetitlich angerichtet und das Obst war teilweise kritisch und nicht frisch.

This Paradore is exceptional perched on a hillside overlooking Malaga, this setting is equally matched and excels in quality food, staff and rooms, there is a pool for these warm times We always come here and our expectations are always meet by all staff from reception through to the dining - we stay half board, and the household present a quality service at all times - this is why we contuinally return to this parador

Magnificent views, quality room facilities, spacious and comfortable, inviting public spaces like the bar area, very pleasant and peaceful place to come back to after a hectic day

The walk into town is steep, do-able for the young and fit which not everyone is. In heat it is quite a trial. There is a public bus service. Otherwise it's taxis.

Beautiful views. The views of the plaza de toros, sea and Malaga are stunning. The rooms are lovely and big. The reception staff were excellent and helpful. However, if you want to easily get into the centre of town, it isn’t a great location. It is a 30minute walk down. And too hot to walk back. Taxis are about €10. Worth staying there once for the beautiful views, but in future I would rather stay somewhere more central. Service at the bar was incredibly slow. On a Saturday night there seemed to be only 1 person working

Beautiful hotel with beautiful views. Excellent service and excellent breakfast. Restaurant is very good but a little expensive which is to be expected.

It’s a little inconvenient to go back and forth to the city centre. It’s quite easy to walk down the hill to the centre but you need to get a bus or taxi to go back up the hill to the hotel.

This place is wonderful, the staff are lovely and work their arses off, the building and decor is so tasteful! The food and wine were exceptional! Hard to find the words to describe how wonderful this place is!

Only fault with this place is the pool area is very run down 😢 but you don’t come here for a pool holiday, it’s just somewhere to cool down.

La piscine était minuscule ainsi que l’endroit pour s’y poser je voulais me détendre un peu à cet endroit, mais ce n’est pas du tout accueillant et il y a très peu de places pour s’y reposer .

We liked the location, views, size and facilities in the room. There was plenty of space in all areas and it was clean and comfortable. All staff were pleasant and helpful. I left my phone charger in my room when we checked out and the housekeeping staff were very quick to return it to me.

We would have liked to be able to order drinks to be delivered to the swimming pool. Maybe via QR code. I mentioned in one of my emails that it was my daughter's 40th birthday and it would have been lovely if the hotel had acknowledged this in some way.

Der Parador liegt in fantastischer Lage hoch über der Stadt mit daher beeindruckender Aussicht auf Malaga. Die Zimmer sind geräumig mit sehr guten Betten. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend und umfangreich (Eier wie üblich im Parador auf Bestellung, daher frisch). Ein außerordentlicher Genuss war auch unser Abendessen (Gute Auswahl an verschiedenen Speisen) auf der Terrasse. Auch die Bar ist gut bestückt mit sehr freundlichem Service. Es gibt auch einen großen Pool, den wir aber nicht benutzten. Was uns vor allem auch zufriedenstellte, war das Service des Empfangspersonals. Ich muss krankheitsbedingt Medikamente kühlen und konnte problemlos Kühlgel einfrieren lassen. Jedenfalls ist der Aufenthalt wohl nicht Preiswert, aber ein Genuss.

Location was fantastic, with a panoramic view of the whole of Malaga and the Mediterranean. Lovely comfortable bedrooms with easy to manage air onditioning.

Not a dislike, but the pool area was rather small and functional. Lounge service and food quality was adequate, but not great. Room for improvement here. Breakfast choice could be extended.

The location above Malaga affords excellent views and respite from the busy hot city. Rooms are comfortable, simple but classic and have views over the bay and city. The beds are large and comfortable, and the aircon is quiet. Breakfast is varied with local specialities, good coffee, hot food options and options for gluten intolerant. The restaurant is very good, the salt baked Dorada was excellent as was the service and wine. The bar makes a terrific Negroni.

The Parador Malaga de Gibralfaro does not have aspects that would be considered negative.

The overall ambience was nice, staff were friendly and the views phenomenal.

Best views in Malaga! Pool was so nice with again the best views and nice umbrellas! Our lunch was delicious and walk to town was doable but very steep. We figured out the bust system and it was a lot cheaper than a taxi

Cruise ships were in the same day that we visited the city which was a bummer.

Great pool area Loved the location with the spectacular views

This delightful hotel was built in the 1940's in an Andalusian style and is very close to the castle on the summit of the hill. It overlooks and is about 15 minutes walk down the hill to visit the city and all its historic landmarks and museums. On arrival at the reception we were met with charming receptionists who quickly did the paperwork and a few minutes later we were in the room. The room was huge with bed, sofa, easy chairs and table. The bed was very comfortable with extra pillows available. We slept well. The bathroom was also well appointed with a great walk in shower. we did not eat in the formal restaurant but ate more informally in the bar. We sat on the veranda and admired the splendid view over the city and port. The food was good too, and not particularly expensive. Highly recommended.

Food was very expensive and very average. No pool bar you have to go down in the lift. Very slow bar service. Over priced in general. Walls / floors were paper thin we were kept up from 2-4am by the person above banging about.

room nicely furnished - bathroom a little small and too many soap dish holders around the bath..... Lots of sticky out bits! The balcony had a fabulous view, let down only by the uncomfortable chairs. If you have a view you want to be comfortable enough to enjoy it. Staff all marvellous.

Great location and a nice room with a view. Everything was as expected. Breakfast was good, although realised that hot food had to be ordered via table service as we were a little confused it wasn't part of the buffet originally. Good value overall.

Tolle Lage mit tollem Ausblick Frühstück auf der Terrasse war immer ein wirklich schöner Start in den Tag.

Am Pool gibt es kein Service für Getränke etc. Auch als Hotelgäste hat man keinen Anspruch auf einen Platz im Restaurant am Abend auf der Terrasse. In der Bar - wenn man ausweichen will - viel zu wenig Personal - schauen eher weg da sie überfordert sind - daher sehr lange Wartezeiten .

It grew on us. Rooms dark but clean. Balcony a decent size looking down on Malaga. 7 Euro to get into city by taxi and another 7 back (plus tip). Amazing views. Breakfast adequate but nothing special and a bit chaotic considering you have to give an exact time slot. The bar was pretty hopeless too and a little smile from the staff wouldn't go amiss. Bar service was not slick at all. We looked at the pool area but didn't use it. It was a bit tired and quite limited sun beds crowded together. Too far out of the city up a steep hill for us so would look for different area next time although it was adequate and comfortable.

Hotel is in a stunning location with lovely views over the city of Malaga. Free car parking is a plus. Hotel is up a steep hill would require taxi or bus down to the centre taxi fare approx 7 euros each way. Reception staff ensured a smooth check in and where available when needed. Rooms are more traditional Spainish style but had everything you needed. However we were located on floor one and did nt find the balcony to be very private as people were walking by at all times of the day and night. Wouldnt have felt comfortable leaving anything personal on the balcony at anytime and felt that we had to keep the balcony doors closed most of the time. Although the breakfast was fine, service in this area lacked. No one explained what breakfast situation was, no one told us that along with cold selection , various cooked to order options were available to us , tables not cleared. Service in cafe bar was below standard, although food was good. We had items missing from order, and had to ask 3 times for our drinks before they were brought to us. Staff in this area seemed unsure of what they were doing and also a little miserable. If returning to Malaga would probably choose a more central location despite the views!!

Biorąc pod uwagę klasę obiektu i cenę za pobyt uważamy że śniadania powinny być dużo dużo lepsze… Podobnie jak obsługa przy śniadaniu która często nie zauważała gości. To samo dotyczy kelnerów w restauracji

Sehr schöne Lage oberhalb von Málaga. Zimmer gross und komfortabel. Nach Málaga runter zu Fuss gut möglich, mit den Taxi dann wieder rauf, da es doch sehr steil ist 😃.

Eine Kapsel-Kaffeemaschine wäre praktisch.

We came from Conil to spend our last day here. Way too expensive for what it is. The hallways smelled musty. And the service was substandard. After checking in, we wanted to have a drink on the hotel terrace (which really wasn't big). It took 20 minutes for the waiter to finally come to our table. Apparently, he still had to go pick the grapes, because we had to wait another 20 minutes for 2 glasses of wine. And for the breakfast that we had paid extra for, we had to make a reservation.

Die Lage des Hotels ist außergewöhnlich. Man überblickt das Meer mit einem herrlichen Blick auf Malaga. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Im Restaurant kann man gut essen. Für uns ist es nach wie vor die erste Wahl, wenn wir nach Malaga kommen.
