The pool was great. Very refreshing water and lovely to swim in. Room was good and comfortable bed. Great bathroom, bidet and shower with quality show gel and hair conditioner was good to have supplied. Lovely balcony with beautiful view. Lots of different chairs and sun loungers. Great air conditioning. Great black out curtains aloud me to wake up naturally. Robe in room was lovely to relax in. Good breakfast. Lots to choose from and seating outside. Lovely massage and spa. Friendly attentive staff in restaurant.

No milk for tea and coffee in room. Tea bags only. Coffee machine was difficult to work out how it worked. Fridge was there but I didn't want to go to the shop to buy when I first go there. Fridge was full of water on the shelf. Only one bottle of water supplied. Room cleaner came to clean about 16.00 on my last day. I was in the room so didn't want to be disturbed as I was relaxing in the room Cleaned earlier on the other days.

We kwam aankom 22:30 en het was niet mogelijk om iets van eten of drinken te krijgen. Alleen de fles water op de kamer was er, verder niets. Best treurig als je de duurste kamer hebt besteld. De receptionist was een robot.

The location is a little out of the center but still only under a 10 minute walk. Some of it could do with updating

Mostly my room and spa. We had a lovely ocean view room with sun loungers so could sunbathe from the comfort of the terrace. Rituals toiletries, comfortable beds with the choice of pillows, spacious room and enough wardrobe storage made my stay very pleasant.

The breakfast was very disappointing, the variety and quality was very poor, all very basic and far below expectation from a 4* hotel. Staff was trying to be helpful but overall service was subpar - starting from a wobbly toilet seat in the bathroom when we arrived and moody air con and tv in the room that in the end broke down.

The hotel is small and clean

The breakfast buffet is small… small things disappointing such as water should be left in rooms every day , glasses replaced not just washed out with hand soap by cleaners!

It was near to the town

Breakfast was bad Staff were miserable I got dates wrong by one day but despite choosing the refundable option when booking the hotel the management did not want to refund me that one extra dat I booked by accident, no matter how much I asked to be excused for my one mistake.

The facilities were great we used the swimming pools and padel courts. The spa facilities looked away amazing I did not use as were only 2 days but went to take a look and they looked fabulous.

Staff at reception were not as welcoming as you would expect. If was nearly as if you were asking too much at check in and if you needed something during the stay. It could have been that the person working was under pressure as there was always just one person at reception..

El hotel es precioso, la ubicación aunque este a 500m de la playa no es mala ya que hay aparcamiento para subir y bajar. El bufet de la mañana no esta mal y puedes desayunar tanto dentro como al exterior. La habitación no esta nada mal con su balconcito, bonito baño, el aire funcionaba perfecto. No probamos el spa porque no quisimos. Los recepcionistas correctos y amables.

Varios días las habitaciones no estaban hechas al volver por la tarde y nos dijeron a la hora de quejarnos(16h) que hasta las 17h tenían para poder hacerlas. Que priorizaban entradas y salidas. Una noche no nos quisieron dar de cenar en el restaurante, cuando lo solicitamos( no lo teníamos incluido), pero nos dijeron que podíamos pagando la cena, (de hechos la primera noche cenamos allí), alegando que el cocinero ya no podía asumir esa cena, cuando no había nadie en el comedor. Creo que faltaba personal y el que había no todo era muy profesional, como el camarero que servía para todo(bar piscina, restaurante, etc...) y siempre iba con un auricular puesto. El bar de la piscina casi siempre desatendido, no había disponibles toallas cuando el hotel es pequeño. En fin, el hotel podría estar mejor por muy bonito que sea.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour au Belavista da Luz. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été très bien accueillis par un personnel chaleureux. L’établissement est très agréable, propre et confortable, avec de beaux équipements qui permettent de vraiment profiter du séjour : spa, piscine extérieure avec snack, restaurant et espaces de détente. Le petit-déjeuner est complet et agréable, l’on peut aussi le savourer sur la terrasse avec une superbe vue. Un vrai plaisir pour commencer la journée ! L’emplacement est également très appréciable : la plage et le centre de Praia da Luz sont accessibles à pied en une dizaine de minutes. Nous gardons un excellent souvenir de notre passage au Belavista da Luz et y reviendrons avec grand plaisir lors d’un prochain séjour en Algarve.

Le Jacuzzi était hors de service, mais ce n'est qu'un détail qui sera sûrement corrigé bientôt.😄

This was the third time we’ve been to the property. Usually, we give it a nine or 10.. This was the first time we experienced a negative stay.

We were given a room in the lowest floor, where the sewer smell, shower leaked toilet seat was cracked. My friend could not take a shower it smelled so bad in there.

La tranquilidad, los desayunos estaban bien y las cenas bastante mejor. La habitación excelente frente a las piscinas y al mar con amplia terraza para tomar el sol.

El camarero fue muy amable excepto la camarera, en los desayunos no resultó serlo durante los cuatro días de estancia.

A estadia foi simplesmente excelente! Passámos 5 noites no hotel e tudo correu na perfeição. Desde a receção e simpatia dos funcionários até à limpeza, conforto e qualidade das instalações, não tivemos absolutamente nada a apontar. O ambiente é muito agradável, o serviço é atencioso e todos os detalhes contribuíram para uma experiência muito confortável e tranquila. Sentimo-nos verdadeiramente bem recebidos durante toda a estadia. Sem dúvida, uma experiência a repetir e um hotel que recomendamos a quem procura qualidade, conforto e um excelente atendimento. Ficámos muito satisfeitos!

Mancava nella stanza il depliant con le regole, orari e numeri utili. Non chiaro l’orario di pulizia della stanza. Aggiungerei un servizio self di lavanderia.

Bello e tenuto molto bene. Ci è piaciuta la zona spa (anche se la Jacuzzi non era funzionante), davvero bella e spaziosa. Belli anche le piscine (pulitissime) e il giardino. La camera comoda e il bagno col bidet!! La colazione varia, non indimenticabile, ma buona. Davvero un soggiorno gradevolissimo

L' hotel non è vicinissimo al centro e alla spiaggia, ma a noi è andato bene così perché ci piace camminare. Per chi ha problemi motori invece è da tenere in considerazione

Bella struttura, in una buona posizione a circa 10 minuti a piedi dal centro paese e dalla spiaggia. Trovandosi in una posizione più alta rispetto al paese, bisogna percorrere alcune strade un po' in salita/discesa, ma fattibili. Colazione e cena (noi avevamo la mezza pensione) veramente ottime, cibo di qualità; personale di sala gentile e disponibile. Camera e bagno grandi e puliti. Belle le piscine.

Per essere un hotel a 4 stelle presenta alcune piccole mancanze che potrebbero essere migliorate, anche se non inficiano il mio giudizio positivo sull'hotel: il personale in sala non parlava inglese, o molto poco, però tutti gentilissimi ed efficienti. In camera era presente una bottiglia d'acqua con due bicchieri che però, una volta finita, non è mai stata riempita e i bicchieri da noi usati non sono mai stati sostituiti con altri puliti. Gli accappatoi in dotazione per la Spa erano scuciti ed entrambi con la cintura spezzata a metà. Spesso quando rientravamo in hotel verso le 16,30 la camera non era ancora stata rifatta. A parte queste piccole mancanze che non ci si aspetta da un hotel a 4 stelle, visto anche il prezzo, e senz'altro migliorabili, tutto sommato è una bella struttura dove tornerei.

La struttura effettivamente è molto bella , in cima ad una collina dove spira sempre un vento piuttosto forte e gode di una vista anch'essa molto bella. Ambiente pulito e relativamente tranquillo. La mia camera al primo piano (che consiglio) era molto spaziosa, con un bel terrazzino e un bel panorama; letto e cuscini comodi. Le camere sono però un po' da rivedere. Colazione abbondante, varia e ottima. Noi avevamo la mezza pensione e la cucina è molto buona. Il personale parla a fatica l'Inglese e questo ci ha lasciato un po' perplessi. Lo staff e i servizi, secondo noi, non sono stati all'altezza di un hotel a 4 stelle. Al ristorante però si impegnavano di essere molto carini. Nel complesso ci siamo trovati bene ma il rapporto qualità prezzo non c'è e viste tutte le numerose recensioni positive che abbiamo letto, ci aspettavamo qualcosa di più. La spiaggia si raggiunge a piedi (al ritorno la strada è in salita, ma fattibile) ed è veramente bella e ampia; ha una parte attrezzata anche con lettini e ombrelloni a prezzi onestissimi. Parcheggio gratuito, ampio e comodo. Nonostante un po' di delusione, ci tornerei comunque.

Secondo noi il servizio non è all'altezza di un hotel a 4 stelle. Sono mancate diverse accortezze anche su cose semplici. La camera non era mai pronta prima delle 16 e questo a volte ci ha messo un pochino in difficoltà. A volte si aveva la sensazione che non ci fosse un buon coordinamento del personale di servizio.

This is a great hotel, small and perfectly run. It’s very chilled and with 2 pools the outside area never feels overcrowded. The food is amazing! And there is a lovely spa in the basement. It’s a 5 min walk down to the super market, 10-15 to all the restaurants and bars. Basically a perfect location. 1 hour from the airport so a comfortable transfer.

Eu gostei praticamente de tudo. O quarto era espaçoso, bem arejado e iluminado, com uma varandinha muito fofa, com espaço para malas. Destaco aqui o atendimento da sra. Tamara, que nos deu atenção especial durante o pequeno almoço.

Tout etait très bien. Le personnel de l hotel sont super gentil et à la écoute. Les masseuses du SPA sont super.

The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the coffee/tea station was wellequiped, the sea facing balcony was big and contained two sun loungers, two comfortable upholstered chairs as well as a small table with two accompanying chairs. I did not use the Spa so I cannot assess it. The staff was very welcoming and friendly.

Room service would have been nice.

Não havia funcionário na piscina quando chegamos, precisamos aguardar cerca de 30 min para que um funcionário viesse à piscina, sendo esse do turno da tarde. Esse funcionário veio porque estava iniciando o horário dele. Percebi que o número de funcionários era insuficiente.

Da estrutura.

Do horário de funcionamento. A academia só abre as 10hs o que considero muito tarde para quem quer malhar antes do pequeno almoço e a piscina interna fecha as 19h. Acredito que seria mais funcional o SPA estivesse aberto a noite quando não é possível usar a piscina externa.

Gostamos de tudo! Um óptimo hotel. Piscina interior óptima e tinha sempre pouca gente.

Los horarios de la cena. No se adaptan a todos los huéspedes, el salón debía estar vacío a las 21:30, por lo que si comenzabas a cenar a las 21h, lo hacías con prisa. Para los españoles es muy pronto, se hubiera agradecido algo más de flexibilidad, así como la apertura hasta las 23h al menos del bar del hotel para tomar algo tras la cena. Asimismo, observamos algunos bichitos en el baño, sobre todo por la noche.

Es war ein grosses Zimmer mit viel Stauraum und ein sehr schöner grosser Balkon mit Blick aufs Meer. Klimaanlage war top und das Zimmer sauber. Allgemein sehr ruhig am Abend im Hotel. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Parkplätze sind direkt vor dem Hotel.

Die Matratze war sehr hart, da könnte man noch optimieren. Das Frühstück war sehr eintönig, immer das selbe. Für in den Sprudel muss eine Badekappe gekauft werden für 5 Euro.

O espaço é agradável e bem situado, os funcionários são simpáticos e disponíveis, o ambiente é calmo e relaxante.

Quando limparam o wc deixaram o chão demasiado molhado e as camas não ficaram bem feitas, a roupa não estava esticada, o pequeno almoço é muito básico para um 4 estrelas, não tinha chocolate para pôr no leite, nem ovos estrelados, nem donuts. As carnes frias tinham poucas variedades e mesmo os folhados havia poucas opções, mas o que estava disponível estava bom.

A piscina encontrava-se um bocado suja!

Por la ubicacion (area) es una opcion interesante y nos dejar una hora mas en el dia de salida es realmente un plus importante. Area Piscina super interesante, habitacion amplia y silenciosa.

Al check in el personal ha hecho de todo para resultar no disponible y no simpatico. La "nueva costumbre" de no tener ni una botella de agua en la habitacion es simplemte horrible. Sin bar abierto, sin disponibilidad de agua en todo el hotel, cual seria la solucion?

Gerenoveerd hotel, smaakvol, erg comfortabel, mooi ontbijt, goede service. Zeer goed adres.

Kleinschaligheid van het hotel en de wijze waarop het gebouwd is (u-vorm).Kamers werden goed schoongemaakt, over het algemeen vriendelijk personeel, lekker ontbijt. Mooie tuin en goede mogelijkheden om te parkeren.

Schimmel in de douche ( randen bij douchewand), geen plek om je eigen spullen in douche neer te zetten, onlogische indeling badkamer( wellicht verschillend per kamer), geen parasol of iets van zonwering op balkon. Fitness weinig mogelijkheden of defect. Badmuts in wellness wat overdreven. Weinig parasols bij zwembad en omdat het geheel in de zon ligt is het fijn als die er wel zijn.

There was nothing we didn’t like

We first visited the hotel when it was brand new in 1994. We met the architect then. He made an excellent job of the place. This is the first time we have returned. It has obviously been refurbished since then, but it is as good as it was when new. The room was spacious with a large balcony overlooking the outdoor pool and the ocean about 15 minutes walk away. It had effective air conditioning. The room and public areas were very clean. The hotel was quiet at night. The reception and pool bar staff were friendly, if you made a bit of an effort. Breakfast was fine, fresh fruit, eggs cooked to order etc. The outdoor pool was warm enough to swim in and a relaxing place to hang out. There were always enough sunbeds when we wanted them. The hotel supplies towels that can be used for the pool or the beach. There are a fair number of choices of places to eat. We liked Latitude for tapas. It is popular, so better to reserve a table. Beach was clean. Lovely sand. Praia da Luz feels like a very safe place. We didn't use the gym, indoor pool or jacuzzi, but they all looked fine

Bottled water was provided on arrival but not on subsequent days. Ants got into the wardrobe, but were sorted after I let the hotel know. The location of the hotel is 15 minutes walk uphill from the seafront. Uber is cheap on the Algarve, and a less ambulant guest told me they used it to get back to the hotel without any difficulty. I didn't like the intrusive music at breakfast time. And the ambient music round the pool is also not needed. I'd prefer peace.

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times. I love it and will definitely stay again. t's a small hotel and always feels peaceful and relaxing. The pool and gardens are beautiful and the rooms are comfortable and very clean. It's always a pleasure to return. I love the addition of the spa and outside lounge style seating area that have been created in the last couple of years. The pool bar is good value for day time snacks.

There are a couple of small things that need addressing. Because of the hilltop location it is often very windy, which is lovely when it's hot. However this means that the umbrellas around the pool are liable to take off. Some more fixed shaded areas would be helpful as there were days when it wasn't possible to put an umbrella up. There were not enough spaces to enjoy the pool and seek shade in the heat of the day. It would be really useful to have clothes airers on the balconies. It would also be great if the pool bar could be open a bit later in the evening for cocktails. It closes at around 6pm, in the summer months people are still enjoying the pool until later.

Sehr gute Lage, um die Umgebung mit dem Auto, aber auch zu Fuß zu erkunden. Die Bushaltestelle direkt am Hotel (komfortabel nach oder von Lagos zu kommen). Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal. Ruhe und Komfort. Das Zimmer war groß und mit einem Kühlschrank und Kaffeemaschine ausgestattet. Wir hatten großen Balkon mit einem tollen Ausblick. Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und der Strand fussläufig (10 Minuten) erreichbar…

Das Hotel liegt in Luz, das ist ein etwas ruhigerer Ort an der Algarve, etwas 10 Minuten mit dem Auto von Lagos entfernt. Das Hotel liegt zentral, etwa 10 Minuten zu Fuß vom Strand entfernt, auf dem Weg dorthin befinden sich zwei Supermärkte. Der Strandabschnitt ist eher klein, aber dafür nicht so überlaufen wie die anderen Orte der Algarve. Das Hotel verfügt über zwei Pools, das Wasser war trotz hoher Außentemperaturen (um die 26 Grad) aber relativ kalt. Den Wellnessbereich und den Innenpool haben wir nicht genutzt. Die Zimmer sind groß, mit Kühlschrank, und vom ersten und zweiten Stock hat man ein schönen Blick aufs Meer. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist sehr gut und ausreichend. Wir waren mit dem Mietauto dort, deshalb ist der Parkplatz vor dem Haus ideal.

Das Hotel und der Ort Luz an sich sind sehr windanfällig, das führte dazu, dass es gerade am Abend im Schatten recht frisch wurde, auch auf den Balkonen, und das trotz durchaus warmen Temperaturen (26 Grad) über Tag. Auch war, wie gesagt, dass Wasser vom Pool zum zu kalt.

Ottima esperienza. L'hotel si trova in una zona tranquilla, vicino alla spiaggia, ai ristoranti e ai negozi. Belle le piscine esterne e la spa interna; abbiamo fatto dei massaggi e facciamo i complimenti alle ragazze per la loro professionalità. Colazione di ottima qualità, anche se sarebbe gradita la presenza di yogurt senza lattosio. Personale sempre disponibile e attento alle esigenze degli ospiti. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo con parcheggio gratuito interno.

La spa è molto bella e nuova, ma non abbiamo apprezzato la possibilità di accesso ai bambini nella piscina interna. Comprensibilmente i bambini giocano e fanno rumore, mentre una spa dovrebbe essere un ambiente dedicato al relax. Inoltre, abbiamo notato che anche alcuni adulti non sempre rispettano il silenzio, probabilmente sarebbero utili maggiori controlli o regole più chiare per garantire un'atmosfera tranquilla. Con questi piccoli accorgimenti l'esperienza sarebbe davvero perfetta.

I liked the location,near the shops,restaurants, beach Free pool towels,room safe no additional charge and bath robes in the room. Specias rooms and newly refurbished bathroom with Rytuals products.Good size fridge in the room,spotless clean everywhere. The staff at the reception was absolutely amazing!very friendly and helpful,thank you!

Half board wasn't specified, expected to be a buffet but it was set menu,with not much choice, drinks are not included. Spa opening hours could be extended, specially the gym. Jacuzzi was not working for a long time now(seen reviews from last February mentioned about it). Some of the staff members weren't even aware of that fact.
