Chalet Hotel Adler

This was our second time staying at Hotel Adler and we enjoyed it as much as the first time. Comfortable room and great breakfast and dinner at Restaurant . The staff was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the pool and the unique hot tub that moved outside by pressing a bottom

Friendly staff, incredible views and amazing location. Had everything we needed and the whirlpool that slides onto the balcony was a bonus!

Værelset var i fin stand.

Ejeren var en gal gammel mand (Andreas) Han skældte mig ud i baren. På hotellet kan man få takeaway op til værelset. Det havde jeg bestilt, selvom det er en regel, de selv har lavet. Så blev ejeren sur på mig og svinede mig til. "Han var træt af turister, som bruger værelset som restaurant." Jeg sagde til ham, at så må de lave om på reglerne og sige nej til takeaway. Men han var ikke til at snakke med, så jeg forlod lokalet. Ingen har snakket sådan til mig nogensinde. Jeg følte mig utryg de 3 dage og brugte ikke hotellet til andet end at sove, selvom det var et spaophold, jeg havde glædet mig til. Ejeren var der hele tiden, så jeg havde ikke lyst til at omgås sådan en sur gammel mand, som ikke vidste, hvordan man tog sig af gæsterne. Så jeg endte med at betale mange penge for de 3 dage. Personalet, som var ved receptionen, snakkede jeg med, og de kunne kun bekræfte, at hans frygtelige adfærd har fundet sted flere gange, og at der er mange klager over ejeren.

Lovely hotel- best that we have stayed in in Switzerland. Big comfortable room. Jacuzzi that goes out onto the deck. Great staff. Very quiet room with lovely view

Nothing - it was perfect

The location was perfect right next to the train station. We dropped our luggage and went to the hike.

Excellent location, right in the village and a short walk from the train station. Easy access to local transport including cable cars. Supermarket opposite. Room was spacious and light with a very comfortable bed and a balcony with exceptional views. Fridge in the room, which was handy and whirlpool bath that could move onto the balcony for ‘al fresco’ bathing! Great for soaking sore legs after a long hike! Swimming pool in hotel was lovely. Food was tasty and well cooked. Receptionist chap (with the beard) was so friendly and helpful.

Service from the staff was very poor at times. We waited so long to order dinner one night that it became too late for me to eat, so only my husband ordered and he ate alone - I went without. One evening, we gave up waiting at the (empty) bar to order a drink (over 15 minutes) and went elsewhere. We had breakfast just one morning - the server said to sit anywhere but when we went in, all the tables had been used and needed clearing. The server had disappeared, so we found a completely empty table and had to locate place mats, glasses, plates and cutlery for ourselves and then found a lot of the breakfast items had been finished. We went elsewhere for breakfast from then on. The staff all seemed to be rushing about and too busy to serve guests, despite the dining room and bar being virtually empty. It felt like they needed to be trained and organised better and more customer-focused.

Der Auf den Balkon ausfahrbare Wirlpool war nach 3 Hüttenpbernachtungen eine willkommene Abwechslung. Das Abendessen und das Frühstück war sehr lecker

Das Personal ist sehr lieb&freundlich! Das Zimmer komfortabel und sauber! Es gibt einen Pool den man benutzen kann, das war ganz nett. Top Lage, super Sparangebote für bekannte Attraktionen in der Nähe+Bahnticket für die Umgebung. Bin sehr zufrieden und glücklich! Gerne wieder:)

Not much to mention

The staff is great, professional, helpful and kind. The lift works perfectly. The view from the room is just amazing of course. The bed is large and comfy. The swimming pool, the sauna, the hammam, the pool table... are great to use and in good condition.

The smell from the restaurant in the room was disturbing sometimes. The sauna and hammam should be open to everyone, maybe with an additional fee. The bathroom had some minor issues.

Pool wurde gemäss aussagen neu gefüllt und geputzt, wasser war sehr kalt und es war schmutzig Wanne brauchte extrem lange um zu füllen, da nicht viel warmes wasser kam

The property was a nice location in Kandersteg. The room with the balcony and spa that rolled outside was a nice feature. However, the price for the value was not really worth it. I understand we stayed at a busy time of year, but this was one of the most expensive places we booked while in Switzerland and unfortunately the hotel and rooms were very dated and worn. Because of the indoor/outdoor spas there was some water damage and a slightly noticeable smell. There was one woman at reception (I did not get her name) that was very helpful and kind and gave us restaurant recommendations as well as allowed us to store our bags for free for one night while we were hiking and staying up at the lake. However, the man at reception was not as kind and if it weren’t for the woman there he may not have let us store our bags.

Super central and easy walk to Oeschinensee cable car. My room had a gorgeous view of the mountains. Gail at the front desk was extremely hospitable and friendly and went out of her way to help me get situated. Clean, comfortable bed. Bathrobe with slippers was a nice touch.

Best time of my life, the beauty of facing the Alps from your balcony was breathtaking. I definitely return.

A cama era muito confortável.

A água do banho não estava suficientemente quente. A cozinha estava pouco equipada e não havia sequer café de cortesia. Não havia aquecimento ou o ar condicionado não funcionava. A piscina estava desativada, e apesar de podermos usar a piscina do hotel ao lado, nao era conveniente. Talvez isto tudo se prenda por o hotel estar em remodelações, mas deveriam ter isso em consideração no preço.

Alles super - alles enthalten, was man braucht und sehr sauber. Personal war auch sehr freundlich. Die Lage ist sehr zentral mit viel Infrastruktur mitten in einem tollen Dörfchen und Blick auf die Berge.

Das Badezimmer ist etwas klein, sodass der Duschbereich nicht vernünftig abgetrennt ist. Fast der gesamte Boden wird dann leider nass - aber auch das ist noch im Rahmen.

Estilo de chalet suizo del hotel y de las habitaciones, muy amplia y algunas con jacuzzi.Recepcion hablan muy bien todos los idiomas.

La piscina estaba en obras. Y la parte baja y exterior del hotel estaba desordenada y sucia.

Piscine en travaux le jour de notre arrivée mais l'hôtel nous a permis d'aller profiter d'une piscine dans l'hôtel situé juste en face. Excellente réactivité La salle de billard mériterait un coup de nettoyage 😉

La chambre était incroyable avec une vue splendide sur les montagnes, nous avions un jacuzzi dans la chambre qui se déplaçait vers le balcon ce qui était très agréable. L'hôtel est très très bien placé (restaurants, randonnée pour Oeschinensee, commerces, gare, Blausee...). Le personnel est très sympa, la chambre est confortable, spacieuse et propre.

Zarezerwowany został aparament za 207 franków dwoosobowy. Apartament składał się z małej sypiali z 1 łóżkiem dwuosobowym i aneksem kuchennym połączonym z pokojem dziennym z sofą. Apartamen był na 1 noc. Przyjazd do apartamentu był o 23.00 a wyjazd o 8.00. Chodziło o tylko przespanie się przed dalszą podróżą. Zapytałam czy są 2 kołdry (gośćmi apartamentu było 2 kolegów) lub czy jest opcja drugiego kompletu pościeli. Dostałam z hotelu odpowiedź tak, ale za opłatą 60 funtów! Napisałam w kilku wiadomościach (które zostały odczytane) że rezygnuję i nie chcę. Mimo to po przyjeździe był dorzucony drugi komplet pościeli mimo, że go nie chcieliśmy. Został on odłożony na bok i zrobione zdjęcie że nikt z niego nie korzysta i oczywiście kolejna informacja do hotelu, że nie korzystamy z dodatkowej pościeli.. Rano przy płatności kartą za podatek miejski zostało doliczone wbrew nam 60 funtów. Hotel nie chce zwrócić tych pieniędzy!

Whirlpool lässt sich auf den Balkon rausfahren! Sowas erlebt man nicht oft. An der Rezeption war eine sehr sehr höfliche und nette Dame, einfach TOP!

Tout, emplacement dans une région magnifique

Le jacuzzi très appréciable après une randonnée , la piscine , le personnel très sympathique , le restaurant ou nous avons bien mangé et prix correct , l'emplacement de l'hôtel. vue magnifique sur la montagne

les rails du jacuzzi sur le balcon , si vous ne faite pas attention vous pouvez vous faire mal ( peut-être les peindre en couleur) pour éviter une chute.

Le personnel sympathique, l’hôtel était très propre mais cher pour ce que c’est.

Super Lage

Nous y avons passé une nuit lors de notre hike. Logement très propre et confortable, restaurant très bon, peu moment à la piscine agréable. À proximité du téléphérique pour le lac d'Oeschinen et la rando et au centre proche de la gare.

RAS

Le lieu est magique. Une habitation de style petit chalet, une table a l'extérieur nous a fait profiter de manger dans un havre de paix au son de la rivière qui coule. Beaucoup de commodités.

La complexité du tri des poubelles, ils demandent de passer le balais, mais il n'y avait qu' un minuscule porte ordure. Au restaurant de l'hôtel, on nous a chargé pour une carafe d'eau plate, c' est un concept qui ne fait pas de sens selon moi.

My delivery was missing, no air conditioning in summer, the billard’s balls are not available.

Die Lage in Kandersteg war super und auch das Abendessen war top. Der Empfang und der Service waren sehr freundlich.

Das Zimmer schmeckte stark nach Rauch. Ich weiss gar nicht, ev. war ich auch in einem Raucherzimmer. Da muss ich das nächste Mal besser darauf achten.

The hotel is super well located, the views and room are great. And specially the manager - Alex - was super super nice!!

Wir sind nach mehrtägiger Hüttentour sehr herzlich empfangen worden und auf ein Zimmer mit Wirlpool upgegradet worden. Nochmals vielen Dank dafür. Das Zimmer war geräumig, gut ausgestattet und sauber, der Wirlpool, den man auf den Balkon fahren kann, ein Highlight, das Schwimmbad im Untergeschoss ein weiteres. Abendessen und Frühstücksbufett waren hervorragend in der Qualität. Besonders zu erwähnen, die Käseplatte beim Frühstück. Das Hotel liegt zentral im Ort mit Blick auf die Gipfel!

Persönlich fand ich es schade, dass die alte, traditionelle Bausubstanz im Zimmer mit neuerer Verkleidung überdeckt wurde. Aber das ist Geschmackssache.

Nice pillows and firm bed

The owner assaulted my husband. The service in the restaurant was extremely slow (15 minutes until anyone talked to us, nearly an hour for food and a beer for my husband). We were told to put our personal water bottles away, but once we saw how slow everything was and that we weren’t given water, my husband decided to take one sip from his own water while eating (he had also ordered a beer). The owner walked by, yelled at him, grabbed his water bottle, and threw it all over my husband. He was not apologetic, and the manager said it was our fault for drinking from our own water bottles. It was a Horrible experience with shockingly childish behavior from the owner and no apologies. Will never return.

Das Zimmer ist grundsätzlich in Ordnung und sauber. Obwohl sehr veraltet, trotzdem noch gut intakt. Man hört den Lärm sehr gut aus den Nebenzimmern. Zimmer und Rezeption aber weiter zu empfehlen.

Service beim Nachtessen, Kundenfreundlichkeit und Qualität der Küche. Das war alles nur peinlich. Die Wertschätzung an die Gäste war seitens Service absolut nicht vorhanden. Der Kellner masslos überfordert und launisch. Die Qualität des Essens nicht zu empfehlen (nach 75 Minuten warten auf meine Rösti bekam ich eine lauwarme "Pappe").

Rien qui ne mérite d’être relevé

Everything was perfect! The staff was so lovely and welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. I expected the stay to be good, but it was even better than expected. I will definitely return!

It was gorgeous and the location was incredible!

Didn’t have Aircon but you didn’t notice it too much because the breeze from the windows was great! Wouldn’t stop me from going back!

Location was exceptional and within walking distance to both the train station, Oeschinensee cable car, restaurants and supermarket. Charming chalet. Staff were warm and friendly. The inside/outside spa was fun and a unique experience we enjoyed.

Quarto espaçoso com sacada e vista para montanha com cachoeira. Localização excelente (ponto de ônibus e mercado na frente) e com bom restaurante no local.

Freundliches Personal, aber ein äußerst befremdlicher Umgang durch den Inhaber Bei unserer Ankunft war unser Zimmer noch nicht bezugsfertig. Die ausgesprochen freundliche Rezeptionistin bot uns von sich aus an, die Wartezeit am Pool zu verbringen. Als wir dafür Handtücher nahmen, kam ein älterer Herr zur Rezeption, den ich kurz zuvor draußen freundlich gegrüßt hatte. Meinen Gruß hatte er nicht erwidert. In unserer Hörweite fragte er die Rezeptionistin: „Was machen die beiden da?“ Wie sich daraufhin herausstellte, handelte es sich bei ihm um den Hotelbesitzer. Die Mitarbeiterin erklärte ihm, dass sie uns angeboten hatte, bis zur Zimmerübergabe den Pool zu benutzen. Daraufhin entgegnete er sinngemäß, dass das auf keinen Fall gehe und wir den Pool erst benutzen dürften, nachdem wir eingecheckt hätten. Da ich das gesamte Gespräch mitgehört hatte, sprach ich ihn ruhig darauf an. Um keinen Streit zu beginnen, sagte ich sogar, dass ich es als Gast verstehe, obwohl die Entscheidung für mich nicht nachvollziehbar war. Eine Erklärung oder ein freundliches Wort gab es nicht. Stattdessen blickte mich der Inhaber herablassend an und ging anschließend mit seinem kleinen Hund davon. Etwa zehn Minuten später erhielten wir bereits den Zimmerschlüssel und hätten den Pool damit ohnehin benutzen dürfen. Die gesamte Intervention war daher vollkommen unnötig. Es ging letztlich um zehn Minuten und zwei Handtücher. Besonders unangenehm war, dass der Inhaber die freundliche Entscheidung seiner Mitarbeiterin direkt vor den Gästen auf diese Weise zurücknahm und uns dadurch das Gefühl vermittelte, nicht willkommen zu sein. Auch beim Zimmer selbst gibt es deutliche Kritikpunkte. Auf dem Balkon besteht aufgrund des Holzbodens die Gefahr, sich leicht einen Splitter einzuziehen. Eine Klimaanlage ist nicht vorhanden. Besonders störend ist die fehlende Privatsphäre beim WC: Dieses ist lediglich durch eine Schiebetür vom restlichen Zimmer getrennt, die akustisch praktisch nicht abschirmt.

Prachtige locatie en alles gewoon in orde.
