Reviewed Sep 16, 2026L’emplacement de l’hôtel est idéal, proche de la gare ou du départ de la marche pour le lac d’Oeschinen. Idéalement situé au centre du village! Il est toujours agréable d’avoir une piscine dans un hôtel. Le staff était très accueillant, serviable et professionnel. Merci à eux pour leur accueil!
Tout était très bien mais on souhaite toujours que le prix soit plus bas.

The £50 3 course meal!! I can't even get my head around the price of this 3 course meal, it is priced totally ridiculously, its almost a joke. We ate at the restaurant bar the first night , bill totally £112 including 2 drinks (4 of us). Decided to go all out on the last night and have a 3 course meal (4 of us) 4 drinks, my word... £237 , I wouldn't mind if the food was to a good quality but it was diabolical, I felt absolutely robbed. Its not justifiable atall. Bitesize starters and frozen over seasoned chips with mains, I got back to the room starving! That is the only down side to my trip. It wast even the price, I dont mind paying money for good food, but it was awful the restaurant next door was far better and well less then half the price just an overwhelming feeling of being totally ripped off. The hotel really needs to either step up and offer high quality food to reflect the price or charge it for what it is worth (£30 at a push) To say the meal was overpriced for what it was is an understatement. Again it was down to quality, the quality we got was fast food style but smaller portains priced at something else... The hotel really needs to sit down, experience the food and have a reality check on the price they are charging. Im pretty sure they'd agree. Change it ! Also checked my bill on departure, I was charged £50 for the meal on one of the nights but didnt have the meal and they removed it without fuss, the same happened to my dad in the next room, which they also removed. Perhaps an error but when questioned there was an apology so i accepted that, but happened on two separate occasions so maybe work on that.

Reviewed Sep 15, 2026部屋はとても広く、窓からは美しい景色を眺めることができた。バスタブも大きく、ゆったりとお風呂を楽しむことができた。ベッドも寝心地が良く熟睡することができた。ゲストカードでゴンドラの割引ができたが残念ながら天気が悪く利用することはなかった(結局、別の日に行った)。ホテルの目の前の駐車スペースに車を停めることができたので楽だった。駐車料金の支払いもアプリで簡単にできた。他のゲストで、犬を連れている人もいて、ペットフレンドリーなのだと思った。
朝食の時、とても混んでいてテーブルが空くのをしばらく待つ必要があった。バスタブの排水栓の開閉つまみが非常に固くて操作が困難だった。

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026The property is absolutely stunning! They offer many amenities and the free breakfast is nearly unbeatable. You can tell that the building is very charmingly old, but this means that it comes with creaky floors.
Our neighbor in the room next to us woke us up accidentally at 3:30AM as we could hear their phone buzzing right on the other side of our shared wall. The neighbor got out of bed and went about their morning routine walking around their room as if they were wearing clunky boots. The noise from each step they’d take, and the vibrations through the floor were actually shaking my bed on the other side of the shared wall. It was impossible to sleep from 3:30AM-4:30AM when they finally checked out of their room with a noisy hard close of their door. I was very relieved once they were gone. Needless to say, the walls are paper thin, and the old wooden floors are very loud.

Ruhestörung bis spät in die Nacht durch im Hotel ebenfalls stattfindende Veranstaltungen. Kein Hotelpersonal ab 21 Uhr erreichbar. Auch unter den an der Rezeption bereitgestellten Telefonnummer nimmt niemand ab. Kein alternatives Zimmer auch bei Ruhestötung bis 3 Uhr nachts. Die Sorgfalt gegenüber Hotelgästen fehlt. Alte, verschmutzte Möbel, z.B. fleckiger Sesselbezug.

Some spots could use a bit of renovation. The shower leaked and the walls had a bit of mould due to this leak already. WiFi didn’t work in our room. Maybe because it was the last room on the hallway and far away from the router…

Reviewed Aug 30, 2026Perfekte Lage für Wanderungen zum und um den Oeschinensee. Frühstück war auch sehr vielfältig und lecker. Zimmer war schön mit sehr gutem Ausblick suf die Berge. Bad war gut, könnte aber auch bald mal etwas modernisiert werden. Vorhandenes Schwimmbad wurde nicht genutzt.
Parkplätze inklusive wäre bei dem Preis angenehm aber da hat die Gemeinde Kandersteg halt eine andere Variante für die Parkplätze ausgewählt.

Reviewed Aug 24, 2026Sehr ausgiebiges und vielseitiges Frühstück in einem riesigen Belle Epoque Saal. Großzügige Räumlichkeiten auch in der Lobby. Schönes Schwimmbad mit Liegen im Außenbereich, zentrale Lage. Sehr sauber und stilvoll eingerichtet.
Die Parkplatzsituation ist etwas angespannt in der Hochsaison, aber wir hatten Glück und konnten vor dem Hotel parken. Der Parkplatz ist kostenpflichtig.

Reviewed Aug 21, 2026Perfect hotel voor wandelen! De ligging is ideaal: alles is dichtbij en vanuit het hotel loop je zo richting de berg en de Oeschinensee. Het personeel was ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Onze kamer had een fantastisch mooi uitzicht op de bergen. Het ontbijt was heerlijk en werd geserveerd in een prachtige, stijlvolle ontbijtzaal, wat helemaal past bij de sfeer van het hotel. Wij waren er in de zomer, maar kunnen ons goed voorstellen dat het hier in de winter ook sprookjesachtig mooi is. Een heerlijke plek om te verblijven als je Kandersteg en de omgeving wilt ontdekken. Zeker een aanrader!
