Great location. Very large room. Amazing view.

Front Desk had slightly limited hours to get help with information about transportation.

The central location was excellent with only a few minutes walk to the train station. It was my second time staying in this hotel and i would stay there again. The room was quiet. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of choice. It was a great place to come back to after a long day's hike.

Beautiful classic Swiss chalet surrounded by towering mountains and stunning views. Close to quaint shops and the nearby train station. There is an excellent cheese shop a few streets over that’s worth a visit. The hotel restaurant was excellent! I opted for the four course meal and it was delicious - one of the best meals I’ve had in Switzerland! The breakfast buffet was also quite good (plenty of options!) But the true stars are the staff. So kind and helpful. They really made me feel at home and I wish I could have stayed another day.

Het personeel was echt super vriendelijk! De bedden sliepen heerlijk een de locatie was top. Ook vonden wij het ontbijt heel erg lekker!

De kamer met uitzicht was uitstekend. Een van de mooiste plekken in zo'n comfort. Het eten is uitstekend, zowel ontbijt als diner. Het personeel is zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Ze verstaan hun vak!

de wasservice bleek achteraf wel zeer duur (zelfs met 25% korting) was dat nog 125 CHF voor een zak van circa 7kg. Het diner is heel goed, maar je betaald er wel voor. Houdt daar even rekening mee.

Wauw wat een uitzicht van op ons balkon(voorkant) De meest gastvrije eigenaars die ik mocht ontmoeten. Steeds vriendelijk en met een oprechte glimlach. Ontbijt goed en rustig. Het a la carte restaurant is gewoonweg TOP. Parking bij de deur en alles dichtbij. Hele ruime kamer en alles spik en span.

A beautiful, quiet hotel in a very convenient location in town. The view from our balcony of the mountains was SPECTACULAR. The staff were lovely, the breakfast was delicious, and my husband and I had a great stay. The only thing it could use for these European heat waves is AC, but sleeping wasn't too uncomfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

The location and view is amazing. The woman at breakfast was friendly. The free parking is also a nice amenity considering parking is so expensive everywhere in Switzerland.

The flies in the dining room were a bit off putting, but I understand this is normal for Switzerland in the summer. The breakfast was good, but it was not clear if ordering eggs would have been additional or included.

Will forever remember the lovely couple who own this charming hotel and their staff. Such caring and warm people. Can’t beat the view! Bathrooms were updated and the meals were traditional and great.

They are trying to control the flies in the dining room but they gotta keep trying!

The location was fantastic. Close to town, trails and the train station. The room was comfortable and the host was friendly. Breakfast was varied and delicious. You could order eggs prepared and special coffees. The host was friendly and helped us to make a reservation for the Gasterntal bus.

The bathroom and shower were a little small, but most everything was great.

De locatie was echt top! een mooi authentiek hotel met hele vriendelijke eigenaren en personeel. We hebben heerlijk gegeten in hun restaurant en s'morgens de dag beginnen met een goed ontbijt. We raden dit hotel zeker aan.

A lovely stay in a perfect location. We first stayed here 25 years ago it was nice to visit again.

Loved this stay! The owners were so kind and helpful, the room was very comfortable, quiet, and the hotel was well sound insulated (an issue I faced in other Swiss hotels). The breakfast was delicious, the restaurant was tasty (make sure to try the Plum sorbet!) and the kindness from all the staff was felt. Room even had a balcony overlooking mountain views. 5 min walk from train station, 10 min walk to Oeschinensee gondola, location couldn't be beat. The hotel itself is such a cute and lovely vibe. Highly recommend and fair pricing!

Portions at the restaurant could have been bigger but this was the case all over Switzerland!

Lovely place and wonderful hosts. Great breakfast and dinner. The room had a big balcony with stunning mountain views.

The only suggestion would be to provide a fan in the room. The weather in Kandersteg wasn’t very hot, but the room could get a little stuffy.

Ausgezeichnetes Frühstücksbuffet, vor allem das Brot war bezüglich Auswahl und Qualität einfach himmlisch.

Liegt an der Hauptstrasse, aber nicht so viel Verkehr, da Kandersteg keinen Durchgangsverkehr hat.

Vi har bott på detta hotell flera gånger och stortrivs varje gång. Personalen är väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam. Rummet var stort och väl städat, med ett fint badrum och liten köksdel med kylskåp där vi kunde kyla drycker. Vi åt i hotellets restaurang, väldigt fin middag och frukost. Personalen på hotellet/restaurangen gör det väldigt fint för barnen, vilket uppskattades mycket. Läget är fantastiskt med vacker utsikt över bergen. På vår balkong kunde vi sitta och njuta av utsikten. Vi ser fram emot att besöka hotellet igen!

Ubicacion en pueblo encantador rodeado de montañas, limpieza, instalaciones,sus vistas, restaurante con excelente cocina, desayuno variado y rico y sobretodo la amabilidad, cortesia y trato dado por el personal. Totalmente recomendable. Para repetir sin duda.

We stayed as a couple and were very happy with everything; it is a wonderfully cozy, warm family hotel where it felt like visiting friends. Claudia in the restaurant made a huge impression on us with her energy, kindness and care. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, and we highly recommend choosing half board.

The pillows could be more comfortable.

The location of the hotel is excellent and is a short walk to the gondola lift.

Staffs are very friendly and welcoming, especially the tall grey hair lady was very nice. I recommend to book the half-board. The food was excellent! Also the location was amazing, very close to the station and the gondola.

Best hotel in beautiful Kanderstegg. We booked a mountain view room which included a balcony, not realising just how amazing the view would be, just extraordinary. Large room and ensuite with comfy a bed. Dinner at the excellent restaurant was a standout, with seating outside and mountain views is a must. Welcoming and excellent staff were a bonus. A special stay.

What a cozy hotel! Good space, stunning views from the balcony, comfy bed and good shower! The owners are very kind and friendly. Breakfast has many options and dinner was very good, outside, admiring the view, drinking good wine and eating great food. The hotel is close to the gondola to Oeschinensee, just 10 minutes walking. I wish we could've stayed longer.

The owners were very friendly. The room was a little smaller but very clean. We had supper in the restaurant - very good. The breakfast was included in our room fee. Nice assortment of cheeses, meat, bread, cereal and yogurt. They had a sauna as well but we ran out of time so didn’t get to use it.

Fabulous, beautiful hotel for a great price. The owners and staff treat you like royalty. Superb breakfast buffet and delicious 3 course dinners. Location is the best in town. Kandersteg has stunning scenery. Our best vacation and one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.
