Chalet = großes Zimmer mit sep. Bad, ruhig gelegen, Frühstück vielfältiges Buffet , Autoparkplatz direkt am Hauseingang

Reception oft unbesetzt, Kein Fahrstuhl im Nebengebäude z. 2 Stock, kein Safe, kein Kühlschrank im Zimmer. Das Haus liegt am Ortsausgang bergseitig mit enger Zufahrt. Nicht viel los im Ort, ohne Auto problematisch.

Great view. Bit no air conditioning though website said it. Weather was very humid during daat. Also no safe. It was broken and when asked, ot was not replaced. Only thing worked was staff being good but disappointed with stay, incomplete information by booking com and hotel

Car is needed the hotel us on the slope for seniors very difficult to come down to catch local transport

Hotel vieillot

We loved the super comfortable beds and powerful shower. The pool was fantastic to have after a few long days walking. We also enjoyed walking in to the village for dinner which had a great choucet

Nothing really. More frustrated to hear about the free limited bus service than the amazing train system that functions in the middle of Wilderswil.

Die Aussicht war toll, jedoch eine schlechte Anbindung an den ÖV (zu weit weg mit Koffern)

Wir hatten ein Superior Zimmer gebucht. Das erste Zimmer, das wir erhielten, war klein mit altem, schmuddeligem Teppich und einem Badezimmer ohne jegliche Ablage. In der Duschkabine hatte es Schimmelpilz, der Wasserhahn war so verkalkt, dass man die Temperatur kaum einstellen konnte. Im Brünneli fehlte der Stöpsel, der Föhn funktionierte nur mit kalter Luft. Die Abdeckung einer Steckdose neben dem Bett war lose. Beim Öffnen der Schranktüre öffneten sich auch gerade alle Schubladen. Es roch nach Rauch.

Schöne Aussicht

Verschiedene Sachen waren defekt Bei einer Lampe fehlte der Schirm. Eine andere Lampe funktionierte nicht. Die Zimmertüre klemmte. Sie war nur mit zuschlagen zu schliessen. Ein Duschkopf hing hinunter.

EJ was really kind and helpful. All the staffs were friendly and made me feel welcomed. The room was clean and had an amazing view.

The wire for the kettle was too short for me to use also there weren’t any complimentary coffee or tea or even water in the room. Since the rooms are of wood, the floor above me kept walking and made creaking wood noises that made it a bit difficult to sleep.

Extremely well situated, incredible views, just far enough away from the touristy area.

A bit out dated, could use a bit of fresh paint in the rooms, floors uneven, and balcony seems scary bottom railing was rotting (although breathtaking views)

الطريق الى الفندق اذا كنت بتمشي على رجولك يعتبر متعب للسيدات وهذا ليس للفندق اي علاقة به فقط وجب التنوية

Am Empfang sprach leider niemand deutsch. Das Zimmer war für diesne Preis viel zu klein und spartanisch ausgestattet.

Rooms are really tired. Bright lights outside kept us awake. No air con. Everywhere around Grindewald is expensive but this definitely isn’t a £300/night room

Super Freundliches Personal. Wunderschöne Lage und Aussicht. Wir hatten Balkon mit Tisch Stühlen und Liegebetten. War sehr toll Grosszügiges Badezimmer.

Unsaubere Bettwäsche, schmutzige und sehr staubige Möbel ( Nachttisch, Sofa, Kommode) und ein muffiges Zimmer ( Zimmer 7). Am morgen früh 0700 an beiden Tagen kein warmes Wasser. Für unser Befinden waren die Gipfeli zum Frühstück sehr trocken und der Speck und die Eier auch nicht gerade der Hit.

We stay at the chalet, room for 4, the room size is average with one bathroom. The room is not new and needs renovation, there is AC, TV. The breakfast is very good and save cost as Swiss is expensive. There is also parking for free and nice view.

Die Lage des Hotels ist gut und das Rundherum wie Parkplatz, Empfang und Aussenbereich sehen recht gut aus. Das Bett war bequem. Der Angestellte war nett. Die Sicht aus dem Zimmer war sehr schön und das Zimmer soweit sauber.

Der junge Herr am Empfang war sehr nett, sprach aber kein Deutsch und das English war auch schwer verständlich. Ansonsten haben wir nie jemanden vom Personal gesehen. Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen, bescheiden und abgewohnt. Alles knirscht und ist teils (z.B. Balkongeländer) zusammengeflickt. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist zwar von der Grösse her OK, aber Qualität ist kaum vorhanden. Alles Fertig- und Aufbackware, Käsescheiben aus der Packung, Fertigmüslis, Dosenfrüchte etc. Preis-Leistung stimmt überhaupt nicht, was leider der Region entspricht. Schade, Potential wäre vorhanden.

Das Zimmer und die Aussicht

Das Preis Leistung Verhältnis stimmt gar nich das Hotel ist niemals den Preis wert. Frühstücktsbuffet: altes Brot, abgelaufenes Fleisch, Rührei und Speck kalt und ungeniessbar. Das Personal überhaupt nicht flexibel und überfordert. Wir werden dieses Hotel in Zukunft nicht mehr nutzen.

Ik heb een heerlijk verblijf gehad bij Hotel Berghof Amaranth. Het uitzicht was echt het hoogtepunt: ontzettend mooi en iets waar je van blijft genieten. Daarnaast was het hotel schoon en het personeel erg vriendelijk en gastvrij.

Pas de climatisation fonctionnelle (installée mais pas en service) alors que la température le soir était assez élevée

Schöne Aussicht, gratis Parkplätze, leckerer Kaffee, schön gestalteter Eingangsbereich/Lounge, Frühstück war für ein 3 Sterne Hotel in Ordnung. Sie kamen mir mit meinen vier kleinen Hunden preislich entgegen.

Zimmer roch sehr unangenehm, es war sehr ringhörig (wieso platziert man die Familie mit Kleinkindern im obersten Stock?), Lüften war schwierig da viele Insekten und kein Fliegen Gitter. Zum Glück war es nicht so heiss: Weder Klimaanlage noch Ventilator. Bettwäsche ungebügelt (das geht meiner Meinung gar nicht in einem Hotel, egal wie wenig Sterne!), niemand vom Personal sprach Deutsch.

The location was nice, not too far from public transport and accessible with a car. It was a nice quite place and you can get a room with a nice view when you're lucky.

The breakfast was average. The soundproofing could be better.

Cleanliness and comfort may be improved

Hotel Berghof Amaranth is excellent value for money, no doubt. BUT, remember—it is on a hill! 😄 If you're arriving with luggage, the easiest way is Bus 105 toward "Wilderswil, Lehngasse". Get off at Lehngasse, and then comes the real challenge: about a 5-minute uphill walk which, with luggage, somehow feels like 105 minutes! But once you're inside, forget all that. It's all about nature, peace and beautiful views. The welcome was warm, and after paying the CHF 14 city tax, there was nothing left to do except enjoy the place. The breakfast was good, with plenty of eggs, bread, cheese, jam, butter and a nice selection of coffee. The views are fantastic. There is also a shared microwave and fridge, which is very useful if you bring your own food. Going downhill to Wilderswil station is completely different—an easy 10–15 minute walk surrounded by beautiful houses and greenery. The hotel also offers pizza for around CHF 10-15 and coffee for CHF 4.50 until about 21:00, which is very convenient. And one recommendation: take a walk to COOP through Google Map. Don't think of it simply as going to a supermarket. Enjoy the houses, greenery and surroundings along the way. For me, that simple walk became one of those little travel memories that stays with you. Overall: beautiful, comfortable and excellent value. Just survive that first uphill walk with your luggage, and then ENJOY! 😄

The only slightly annoying thing in my room was the bathroom exhaust fan, which came on with the light and made an unpleasant noise. However, its just switched off at its own not with the light switch. The door lock wasn't working from inside but doesnt bother me as travelling solo. Only electric kettle in the room without coffee sachet, couldn't understand the Science behind this! Is this a COST CUTTING!

Kein Personal das deutsch spricht. Praktisch kein Personal vorhanden. Bar um 22.00 geschlossen, vorher nur Getränk aus dem Automaten. Nachtportier war auch „Baarkeeper“ er hatte keine Ahnung. Keine Klimaanlage

Generally speaking the price was ok. And the staff were good. Parking was available and free too, which is great. This hotel might be a good compromise if you have a car.

It’s warm and there were no functional ACs, the hotel seemed really old and it need to be refurbished. The breakfast was generally good but they kept the scrambled eggs and the bacon in the same food container which is allowing cross contamination by the steam. We had breakfast only the first day in the hotel and then we preferred to go out for breakfast.

Great location with stunning views. Free parking although car park can be busy. Staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Property now feels quite old inside and some aspects (decorations) beginning to feel tired. Very few rooms have aircon although a floor fan was provided.

Sehr schöne Lage. Unser Zimmer hatte Blick auf Eiher Mönch und Jungfrau. Den Ausblick bezahlt man natürlich mit. Super bequemes Bett. Pool und Terasse sehr schön.und relativ neu. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung.

Das Hotel ist an manchen Stellen renovierungsbedürftig. Z.B. Bad. Sauber aber sehr eng und alt. Die Preise sind in der Gegend generell zu hoch.

Le pommeau de douche n était pas détartré du coup l eau s écoulait mal. L hôtel mérite d être rafraîchi.

Sehr schöne ruhige Lage, am Ortsrand mit tollem Blick auf Berge und Natur. Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Das Zimmer war immer sehr sauber. Frühstück auch im freien möglich mit wunderschönem Blick in die Natur. Schöner Pool. Ausreichend Parkmöglichkeiten direkt am Hotel.

Das Hotel wirkt ziemlich abgewohnt. Die Gästecouch im Familienzimmer war eine Zumutung, sehr hart.

Un peu cher pour le type de chambre

Les vues sur le Lac de Brienz d’un côté et sur les glaciers de l’autre côté. Le petit-déjeuner très bien. La piscine bien agréable. Le personnel très sympa.

Nous partagions notre balcon avec une famille très bruyante et irrespectueuse. Cris , disputes et claquements de porte de 22h00 à 24h00 tous les soirs….Trop cher pour nous, petits belges….: 1000€ pour 3 jours

The view

Hotel needs refurbing. We had torn curtains hanging off the windows, aircon that didn’t work due to lack of permit. Sofa bed very uncomfortable, small rooms. Broken bits around the pool. Room was not ready on arrival. No help with baggage. Breakfast is average. Only one person working, hence having to wait for replenishment. Bread rolls stale.

Habitación SIN aire acondicionado (a pesar de que al hacer la reserva en enero ponía que si tenía. El hotel no me dio ninguna solución ni contraprestación a pesar de que admitieron el error). Limpieza de las habitaciones muy justa… moqueta con “cosas” y sábanas sin planchar. Desayuno poco variado y de muy mala calidad (el bacon era incomible).

Great little hotel and an excellent launch point for Swiss adventures . It’s located at the top of a hill - getting there through the narrow, idyllic streets is a bit of a challenge! Parking lot is small - at times it couldn’t accommodate all the visitors. Lift is small but we never had to wait long. From what I could tell the rooms are a mixed bag - some newly renovated others not. Our room was in the top floor, fully renovated and modern . We had 2 balconies and stunning views of the alps. We were a family of 4 - sharing 2 rooms - and had plenty of space. Breakfast is included - continental style and everything you could ask for. There are also communal fridges in the lobby if you want to store some of your own food - a nice touch. Theres a small bar in the lobby (never saw anyone at it) but it looks cozy and welcoming. The little town is really charming and there are a few restaurants and other hotels within walking distance. Overall, we loved Hotel Berghof Amaranth!

tres mauvais rapport qualite/prix. Peu ou pas de service, confort et equipements mediocres, et surtout un de nos fils a eu une intoxication alimentaire suite a des oeufs avaries au cours d'un petit-dejeuner.

Bit overpriced

I appreciated that the staff took notes and were very friendly and cooperative.

The room was dirty. There were spider webs and a spider inside the bathroom. There was another spider next to the balcony door on the inside nesting in a spider web. All around the skirtingboards, lots of dirt and dust like it hasn’t been cleaned in weeks. The distance from/to bus was annoying so you have to consider 10-15minutes to closest mode of transport.

We booked two rooms and they gave us room in different buildings. Ned’s were single for all 5 of us and are extremely uncomfortable. Ground floor family room is at the road level windows so either you close the windows and stay in hot room or you open the windows and you will be as if you are on the road; full room is open to cars and pedestrians which is awful.

في يوم الخروج جاءت الموظفة و ضربت على الباب الساعة 11:18 صباحا و قالت لنا موعد الخروج بلغناها بأننا في صدد إقفال الشنط و النزول لم يكن الأسلوب لائقا و لكن هذا ما تحصل عليه عند السكن في الفنادق اقل من المستوى. باقي الموظفات كانو رائعين. يحتاج تطوير مناشف جديدة ، أدوات للحمام سليبرز،
