The rooms are old. The plug points are very archaic . They can have plug points with the facility for new gadgets but they don’t . Toilets and shower are basic . All in all the facilities are equivalent to a 3 star hotel. There is no portico for the car at the entrance . Room sizes are decent . Can make improvement on light switches, charging plug points

The ultimate thing which I liked was food and the quantity provided. It was worth the price. Overall behaviour of the staff.

I asked about the north Indian breakfast as specified in the menu provided in my room. But I was told that was not available and only poori and subji was available. Further the flushing system was not working satisfactorily.

Excellent food and hospitality

I would like to share my recent experience with Hotel Tip Top in Thane. We had a marriage in the family, and since some relatives had onward train and flight travel plans, we booked three rooms at the hotel so everyone, especially the elderly family members, could take some rest before travelling. At check-in, the reception staff member named Priya informed us that we have a booking for six people and no more can be allowed in the room, even temporarily. She seemed to have a bad day so she was bit arrogant from beginning, We had booked three large rooms with two double beds, and only some people were intended to stay overnight. The remaining family members simply wanted to rest for a short while before leaving for their respective journeys. I explained that some families had trains around 5 PM, 7PM and 9PM only needed a couple of hours to freshen up and rest. However, Priya was very rigid and said they would not be allowed into the rooms even for half an hour. Since I could not ask my guests, especially elderly family members, to wait outside, I ended up booking an additional room for four people and also paid extra charges for three additional guests. In the end, most of those guests did not even stay as they had their own travel plans later that day. For me, this is not about the money. It is about the behaviour of the staff and the way guests are treated. To make things worse, my sister, who lives in Thane, came later in the evening just to say hello and spend some time with us, and the staff were reluctant to even allow her to visit us in the room. I genuinely do not understand this kind of hospitality policy. I completely understand that hotels may have rules and occupancy policies, but there is always a respectful and empathetic way to communicate and manage situations, especially when elderly guests and families are involved. The overall experience gave the impression that the hotel operates with a lack of trust towards its own guests, which felt quite uncomfortable. We did have lunch at the Thali restaurant, and the food was genuinely good. Unfortunately, the hospitality experience at reception overshadowed that positive part of the stay. I have stayed in hotels across the world and have never experienced staff behaviour that felt this intrusive and unwelcoming. Overall, it was quite disappointing.

I have been visiting Hotel Tip Top Plaza, Thane for attending my company trade show for the past 12 years, and every stay here has been a wonderful experience. The atmosphere of the hotel is always superb and it truly feels like my second home. I usually stay here for around fifteen days every year, and the comfort level has always been excellent. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is wonderful with great quality and variety. The front desk team always ensures a very quick and smooth check-in and check-out process. Bell desk assistants are always available and very helpful. Housekeeping, cleaning services, and laundry services are consistently excellent. Room service food is good and always delivered very quickly. The hotel WiFi works perfectly, and the internet speed is also very good, which makes working from the hotel very convenient. I would especially like to appreciate Mr. Chetan Bhanushali for his outstanding customer service and support over the last 12 years. He is truly a powerhouse, a great hotelier, always ready to assist, and has a very gentle and positive aura. One of the best hotels in Thane. Overall, always a great experience staying at Hotel Tip Top Plaza.

Sometimes I stay for a week, 10 days, or even 20 days, and every single time the experience has been amazing. The hotel staff is extremely polite, professional, and welcoming. A special mention to Manager Mr. Chetan — he is truly an outstanding person. He is always ready to help with anything you need and makes every guest feel comfortable and cared for. His welcoming nature and support make the hotel feel just like home. The hospitality here is excellent, and because of people like Mr. Chetan, staying at Hotel Tip Top Plaza is always a wonderful experience. Highly recommended for both business and personal stays.

We had a fantastic stay of over 15 days at Tip Top Hotel, Thane, Mumbai—truly a memorable experience. Manager Mr. Chetan welcomed me with a smile every time and had an energetic presence. He’s truly an asset to the hotel. The welcome desk staff were top-notch, and their professionalism stood out. The complimentary breakfast had a wide variety of options, superbly managed by the hotel team. Every morning, we not only enjoyed the meals but also felt a personal touch in the service. It’s this attention to detail that makes me look forward to visiting again!

Tip Top Plaza is located conviniently in Thane. Can reach locations in both Thane, Mumbai and Navi Mumbai easily. Airport is less than 1 hour during non-peak hours.

I faced problem in reaching the location from Mumbai airport. I used Google Map directly and was about to reach the location when, out of curiosity, I accessed thmap through Booking.com and to my shock, it was now showing a different location near Thane Railway Station. Had to double check at the reception that I had indeed reached the right location. Problem is with the location mapped in Booking.com site and not with the hotel.

The Grand Thali restaurant is fantastic for both lunch and dinner. The Aamras Puri is a must-try and absolutely delicious. Additionally, Tip Top Mithaiwala offers great snacks for evening consumption. Our team also purchased sweets to take home, and the quality was excellent. A special thanks to Mr. Chetan Bhanushali for his constant support and assistance. His hospitality and approach towards guests are truly commendable he is a wonderful person and a great asset to the hotel. Overall excellent service and experience.

They need to upgrade a bit in the bathroom.The toilet needs a definite upgrade. When you flush it sprays out - very unhygienic. When taking bath, bath area is not effectively isolated from the test of the bathroom. Water spills out and is a big risk for anyone slipping. The above two needs a quick but definite fix from overall health and safety perspective.

We had dinner thali. The options were good and quite a few. Some of the dishes were average while others were good. The service was prompt and good. Good ambiance . Parking can be difficult to find on busy days. The restaurant is in the first floor and in the hotel.

Location of Hotel Tip Top Plaza is very prominent and easy to reach. All the Staff members are very polite and helpful. It has a pure veg restaurant and they also have a very nice menu card for room service. It has neat and clean rooms. I would like to mention few names, Mr. Ajay Chourasiya, a very friendly and well mannered Person, who guided us well. Mr. Narendra Singhania managed food/ breakfasts. And he also guided us through some spiritual locations on enquiring. He along with Mr. Sohel Mia manages good food. We liked the breakfast menu and the dishes were tasty, extensive variety everyday. Overall its a very well spent weeks stay at Tip Top Plaza. Thanks to the entire team.

We celebrated a wedding event in December 20204 in Hotel Tiptop Plaza. Since Tiptop is a renowned name, we expected a good food, good hospitality and a better experience. Though, we experienced beyond our expectations, be it food, light & decoration, sound systems, everything. It is a far worth of your money spent. We highly recommend to celebrate your events here.

Location

The room was on front side facing busy road and the windows are simple glass windows hence lot of noise in the room . Could hardly sleep.. next day was given back side room which was quiet but there was some dance program creating big noise till 2 am which was worst than first night.. I think it is mainly a marriage or other function venue so …. Not good for people who want good sleep after days work ….

Superb Stay ....Food tasty ... Hotel amenities and comfort was superb, o second thought for visiting again, only thing bothered me is range of breakfast was not up to the mark... Property is well maintained. Security at the entrance should be more friendly with the guest as the entrance is quite confusing. Room service and house keeping staff ensures your stay comfortable.

Clean and nice hôtel, the people was very gentle I forgot my cellphone and they keep It for me. They can also keep the bagage in a safe room. I was there for business, and It was a good choice, The rooms are confortable and Big beds, they do also events

Check in and check out was smooth without any waiting time.. Stay was excellent, rooms are spacious enough and clean.. 24*7 Hot water available in all the taps.. Room service and food quality was excellent! Will always recommend and wish you come back again.

This is my 2nd year when I stayed at Hotel Tip Top Plaza. Both the times, I had a great experience. I have no words to express how candid and helpful the whole staff was. Let me start with the names of the associates who made my stay at Hotel Tip Top Plaza very pleasant. Ajay and his team members at the front desk were very helpful and attentive. During this stay (July-2024), I was unable to book the hotel on my day of arrival in Mumbai but Ajay and his colleagues stayed in touch with me until I got the room to stay at the same location. Since I am a hedge fund manager and was staying close to my family, I needed an extra table to accommodate multiple monitors in my room. So that I could trade during the US Market hours. I hate myself for not remembering the name of the front desk associate who was even more helpful to me last year (June-July 2023). He arranged the table in less than an hour on my request. I do know that if I would made this kind of request in any other hotel, it would have been turned down but not at Hotel Tip Top Plaza. I can’t thank enough for the staff members for taking care of their clients and especially when it is not necessary to complete every client request(s). Now let me start with Mr. Naren who looks over dining and always very attentive to every client request and needs during early morning breakfast. I still remember the “Misal-Paav” that I had during my stay in June-July 2023. I have noticed that Mr. Naren pays attention to every customer that walks into the breakfast room and have an eye for details and customer needs. The cleaning staff at the hotel is very courteous and their manager always have a good smile on his face while directing his staff members. Finally, I would like to mention Mr. Chetan Bhanushali. I have stayed at finest hotels from Las Vegas to Paris to London to New York. You name it and I have been there but I have never seen a gentleman hotel manager with an “ever” smiling face who is attentive to client requests and needs. I have seen Mr. Chatan on the hotel floor for more than 12+ hours and working very hard with a smile to make sure that the place is running very well. He is a gem of person with high work ethics. His passion for the work is contagious and no wonder that all front desk managers/associates do their job excellently under Mr. Chatan’s leadership. All kudos to him for his work ethics. I look forward to my next stay at Hotel Tip Top Plaza next year during late-June 2025.

The central AC in the room. Could not control or set the temperature to desired value...it would go very cold during the night, becos the thermostat to control the cool temperature was not setting as expected I strongly suggest that each room have a separate split-AC instead of central AC...and also a cieling fan should be there in case we need air circulation in the room to breathe...

Breakfast , room dining and dinner prices very reasonable. Dinner thali is excellent based on variety of items and price.Recommendable. Hotel staff service is excellent , attentive and responsive. Breakfast should be included in room package not as add on.
