Great location for a few days relaxing on arrival in Madeira before exploring the rest of the island. The staff were, without exception, outstanding. Excellent service and very helpful.

Das Mobiliar ist zwar in die Jahre gekommen, aber ist in einem top Zustand und alles sehr sauber, das Zimmer war riesig und komfortabel. Exklusives, sehr leckeres Frühstück in gemütlicher Atmosphäre. Fantastischer, großer Pool mit Zugang zum Meer. Den oberen, beheizten Pool haben wir gar nicht genutzt. Fußläufige Lage zum Flughafen (mit Gepäck würden wir aber den kostenlosen Transfer empfehlen)

La piscine naturelle est incroyable, le personnel est au petit soin, le calme de l hôtel (malgré la proximité de l aéroport qui ne gêne pas du tout), le petit déjeuner et le restaurant était très bon.

Dass der große Aussenpool kein Wasser hatte. Wir wollten am anderen Pool nicht stören, weil es da recht ruhig war und drei Kinder wahrscheinlich zu laut gewesen wären.

From the moment I arrived, I felt as though I was staying at the private seaside residence of an affluent family rather than at a hotel. There is a an exclusivity that makes you instantly feel at home. The property is immaculate. Every corner is spotless, beautifully maintained, and cared for with remarkable attention to detail. It’s evident that the team takes great pride in preserving the hotel’s exceptional standards. Everything feels refined, polished, and effortlessly luxurious. The setting is breathtaking. Perched above the Atlantic Ocean, the hotel gives the unique sensation of being aboard a magnificent yacht, gently anchored above the sea. Waking up to the endless ocean views was an unforgettable experience. One of the highlights is the natural ocean swimming pool, which is a hidden gem. Swimming while surrounded by the Atlantic and dramatic coastal scenery was one of the most memorable moments of my trip. The lush tropical gardens and pathways at the entrance add another layer of beauty to the property. The mature palms and exotic plants create a tranquil atmosphere that feels distinctly Madeiran and unlike anywhere else I have visited. The staff were exceptional. As I was celebrating my birthday, the team and manager offered me with a beautiful birthday cake and a complimentary room upgrade. It was an incredibly thoughtful gesture that made my stay even more special and is something I will always remember. Thank you to the lovely receptionist, General Manager - Mr Diogo and the Albatroz team. I also admire the hotel’s yacht emblem. It adds to the hotel’s unique identity. If you’re looking for understated elegance, impeccable service, spectacular ocean views, and an atmosphere of timeless refinement, Albatroz Beach & Yacht Club is simply outstanding.

The Albatroz Hotel is wonderful, cozy, clean, and peaceful. All you see before your eyes is the ocean. If you don't like human anthills, this is the place for you. Many years ago we stayed at this hotel, and ever since then we always come back here. But the most important thing that sets the Albatroz Hotel apart is its professional team of staff. Everyone on this team does everything possible and even more to make hotel guests feel truly welcome. Many thanks to all the hotel staff! We had a wonderful time, thanks to your work. We will gladly return.

The vacation ended too quickly.

Recently returned from this amazing hotel, I stayed there for 1 week. I really understand why this hotel has 5 stars, the staff were so nice, helpful and professional. The food was incredible, especially their fresh fish. The view from the ocean pool was one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. Highly recommend visiting this wonderful hotel.

Top location (both the hotel and to visit the island), quiet, best sea views, perfect to relax and enjoy great food at the restaurant. The pool by the sea is simply an amazing experience. The hotel staff is so nice, so helpful and so welcoming. We liked all of it!

So aufmerksames und nettes Personal. Das Restaurant Hibiskus im Hotel sehr zu empfehlen. Jedes Essen hat geschmeckt. Die Lage selber großartig und perfekter Ausgangspunkt um nach Madeira aufzubrechen, da direkt an der Via rapida, dennoch sehr ruhig dabei. Der Flughafen gleich im Rücken.

Great for an overnight stay after arriving late into the airport. Airport transfers were very quick, and the hotel garden and pools by the ocean were peaceful and beautiful. Helpful staff made our stay perfect!

Excellent hotel that is super close to the airport. Amazing views onto the ocean as you have your breakfast or lunch/dinner on the terrace. The entire staff is super friendly, accommodating and professional; their English is also impeccable. The room was really great for our family, and having a balcony with a view onto the ocean was amazing. They left us some daily treats that were so delicious. The pools are also quite great, especially the pool by the ocean. It's an experience!

The only thing I can think of is the directions from the airport to the hotel are completely wrong on Google so it was tricky to get there on our first day. But that's not the hotel's fault :)

Staff amazing, truly such nice people,felt like we were at home,but in a much nicer setting. Beds were lovely, but the pillows were fantastic. I'm so sorry that we only had one night there as we were moving up the coast for the rest of our holiday. We will definitely be back for a longer stay

I do not recommend staying at Albatroz Beach & Yacht Club. On the day of my arrival, I received a cancellation message through Booking.com before check-in time. Based on this, I understood that my reservation would not be honored and arranged alternative accommodation. Despite this, the property later marked me as a “no-show” and refused to issue a refund. I provided evidence of the cancellation message, but they did not acknowledge it or take responsibility. This experience was extremely disappointing and stressful. As a guest, I relied on communication sent through the Booking.com platform, and it is unacceptable to be charged under these circumstances. If there is any confusion or technical issue on the property’s side, the guest should not be the one paying for it. I strongly advise other travelers to be cautious when booking here.

The room is not really well sound proof. It was not a big issue as the hotel is small and no loud neighbors, but still.

Le personnel est adorable et prévenant. Le petit déjeuner est parfait. Les piscines et jardins sont très agréables et calmes. Les chambres sont spacieuses.

Rien, le seul point c’est qu’il faut une voiture pour se déplacer mais la proximité à l’aéroport s’entend extrêmement peu. On entend un tout petit peu plus la route depuis la piscine.

Hotel muito calmo, ótimo para desfrutar de uma estadia serena com uma vista excecional sobre o oceano. O staff é muito profissional, o serviço de transporte para o aeroporto é útil. O restaurante é de ótima qualidade, desfrutamos de um maravilhoso jantar. As piscinas naturais com acesso ao mar são deslumbrantes é uma experiência incrível. Espero regressar em breve.

Gediegene Hotelanlage. Großzügiges Zimmer mit komfortabler Ausstattung und Blick aufs Meer. Sehr freundliches Personal, professionell und sehr bemüht Wünsche zu erfüllen. Üppiges Frühstück und auch das Abendessen ist zu empfehlen. Der Oceanpool ist traumhaft, leider konnten wir ihn ob der rauen See nicht nutzen. Die kurzfristig organisierte Massage war gut.

Da gibt es fast nichts. Vielleicht der etwas unattraktive grüne Zaun zum Meer hin. Ansonsten alles sehr behaglich!

We stumbled across this property while being delayed at the airport and we were glad we did. We will certainly stay there again at some point of our next visit to Maderia. The staff went above and beyond!! The breakfast was perfect and the restaurant was one of the best experiences we had on the island. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The views and location along the water were beautiful. It certainly was a silver lining while being delayed getting off the island.

Das Hotel hat alles, was man für einen Aufenthalt braucht. Wir waren nur eine Nacht dort aufgrund von Sturm und eines abgesagten Fluges, aber man hat es uns so angenehm wie möglich gemacht (inkl. Gratis-Flasche Sekt). Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es gibt einen kostenlosen Shuttle-Service zum Flughafen.

Die Sauna war etwas klein ohne Liegen. Unser Frühstückspaket (anstelle des Frühstücks) wäre besser ohne Knoblauchbutter gewesen, da wir ja im Anschluss in einem Flugzeug sitzen mussten.

Positives: amazing staff, good food, great location. Salt water pool Is special. Read the other reviews they are real Negatives: some points I would liked to have known. We stayed a week which is a bit unusual I think. Many treat as airport hotel for which it is amazing. It is very close to the airport. Air flights are limited but you hear them and smell them. More significant it is right next to main road around the island. No noise in rooms or restaurant but there is a lot constant sitting by pool. Walking to Santa Cruz requires 500m along footpath next to motorway. Pool is heated but only to 24. Jacuzzi and sauna are tepid and old. Food is good choice and generally very good family restaurant style. But this is not 5 star luxury.

The rooms are large and look out on the ocean. The staff are very nice and accommodating. And the included breakfast was extensive and delicious. The hotel is quiet and has very nice facilities. Top notch!

Es war ein wundervoller kurzer Aufenthalt. Wir worden von allen Seiten extrem verwöhnt! Das Personal ist überdurchschnittlich, da ich viel reise, kann ich das beurteilen und würde hier mehr als 10 Punkte geben. Auch die Massagen wurden mit viel Liebe und medizinischen Kenntnissen durchgeführt. Der Meerwasserpool einfach Klasse!

Für uns paßte alles gut

Die Lage und das unfassbar nette Personal. Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass so nah am Flughafen und einer vierspurigen Autobahn keine Lärmbelästigung vorhanden ist. Ich war absolut skeptisch und habe mir vorher einige Rezensionen durchgelesen, als ich auf Google Maps gesehen habe, wo das Hotel liegt. Aber ich kann nur sagen: absolut ruhige Lage. Sobald man auf dem Gelände ist, hört man nichts mehr.

Es ist alles schon ein bisschen spartanisch im Gastrobereich. So eine richtige südländische Atmosphäre will da nicht aufkommen, wenn man im Winter dort ist. Ein „Refurbishing“ ist meines Erachtens dringend notwendig.
